I don't know, it's pretty fucking bad out there when it comes to LAN parties. There's one where I live that never gets 20 people whenever they plan it, so then they can't hold it. Canada's largest LAN (ETS) downsized last year. Also seems like LAN centers are few and far in between and if they are, they sure as shit aren't ready to run local servers for people to just hop on.

Not anymore no. I used to be in a team in 2014-15 and I had a shitton of fun then. Grinded to globule in MM, grinded faceit, esea, etc.
Life happens, lost track of people. Fast forward a few years I want to get into CS2 and now it's an absolute shit show. What sucks is the game is still great mechanically but holy shit it's unplayable. I can't play on US servers because ping too high so I don't play at all and keep to shitty singleplayer trash.

Some multiplayer games there is just nothing left at all to talk about. Like how literally no one ever talks about DayZ here. There's never a thread, if you make one it will just fall off the board, and there's no general. But then Project Zomboid with half its player numbers gets threads with replies all the time.
