I'm not really worried about non-port games for this. Just this year they're going to have Mario kart, Donkey Kong, Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon ZA coming out probably one month after another. I know Prime 4 and Pokemon are technically ports but you know that they made those games for the Switch 2.
I've also held off on playing Xenoblade X because I know that even if it doesn't get a patch it'll probably still run better in general on 2.

If the little behind the scenes blurb for Mario Kart World is anything to go by. Active development for switch 2 games has been going on since 2020. plus several years of pre production. In theory they already have plenty of things in their pipeline basically ready to go.

ps5 was sold out because they had too few units for sale due to Covid. Switch 2 is sold out despite putting a shitload of units for sale. These things are not the same.
