well the reality is that 5'2 or 5'3 or whatever his intended canon height is, is VERY short for a man, I know that's the point, small but mean like a wolverine, but it's not short, it's really short, so if always drawn precisely to scale he often would look comical at best in scenes if not actually hard to frame when talking to other male characters because you'd always have to have an angle looking down on him or up from his view, or you'd just get the tops of his hairdo in the frame next to Colossus or whoever
