Let's be honest, Elden Ring was wrong from the start

Let's be honest, Elden Ring was wrong from the start
"Le open world" meme and now battle royale garbage

People want another Dark Souls 3 not this autism

This

I genuinely feel bad for everyone that will have to shill this poorly made asset flip called nightreign

DS3 is shit

how much does that battle royale dlc cost?

iirc $40, similar to clair obscur

disgusting
why would tell charge 40 dollars for a 3 mini boss rush battle?

2016

DS3 IS TOO FUCKING LINEAR

2022

WHY IS ELDEN RING SO FUCKING BIG?????

make up your minds you cocksuckers

I want to be a coach.

No one complained about DS3 linearity
In fact no one ever asked for an open world meme.

No one complained about DS3 linearity

People did and still do.

People want another Dark Souls 3 not this autism

You mean a linear arena-coridor-arena sit with rollslop combat?

People want another Dark Souls 3 not this autism

god please no

People want another Dark Souls 3 not this autism

teleporting dogs intact?

Male ass. Disgusting.

none of them ever played DS3 because DS3 is just linear as the other games in the series

People want another Dark Souls 3

God fuck no, second worst game after 2

none of them ever played DS3

Everyone's played ds3. It's sold ten million copies.

DS3 is just linear as the other games in the series

Why are you lying like this? Every game gives you the option for significant routing. Ds3 has like 3 secret areas and the major routing difference you can do is choosing to kill Dancer early.

DS3 doesn't have alternative routes. The closest it gets is killing dancer early and that's it. Road of sacrifices is required for progression.

Elden Ring didn't get how to do open-world right.
It's just another Dark Sould with bigger environments.

Required to progress

that is called videogame

Sure. And there are no alternative routes.

But I don't want another Dark souls 3. Dark souls 3 was linear garbage with floaty unimpactful combat, gutted RPG elements and recycled bosses / lore. It was mediocre at best. I agree on the notion of open world being crap but it's like picking between bowl of piss and turd sandwich.

Nobody gets how to do open world right. There is not a single good open world game. They are all filled with re-used, re-purposed samey enviornments, NPCs and braindead quests.

Elden Ring is significantly better than other open world games because it has significantly more going on.
Can you name any other open world with a fraction of the varied environments/unique assets and models?

imagine if guys were wearing fake muscle suits and padded pants to make their dicks look bigger
women are a complete joke lmao

What is an alternative route?

Skip this area

this is not alternative route you autist

Basically you can route the game the way you want. Instead of going through areas A, B and C. You can tackle it B, C , A, etc.
This is what everyone means when they say DS3 is the most linear game.

this is not alternative route you autist

What the fuck are you talking about?

ER didn't have enough content for an open world. That's why you fight the same bosses and see the same landmarks like 50 times each

Instead of going through areas A, B and C. You can tackle it B, C , A

I have never found a game like this in my life

floaty unimpactful combat

isnt ER combat the same?

Demon Souls, DS1/DS2/ER can all be routed in almost any way you want. I don't know have you actually played any souls game besides DS3?

One of the main complaints with DaS3 was that it were too linear and that the balancing of the game were all over the place. Balancing got sort of fixed over the years with patches but the games linearity is honestly what is keeping me from playing it more.

ER was an over correction IMO since FROM clearly don't have the resources or time to fill a world that big with interesting things to do but its largest strength is that 70% of the game is completely optional content that can be tackled at any point in the game.
It also allows for a larger amount of replay value as every build wants some different loot that is scattered all over the world which makes each start feel more unique, IMO I don't think that they went far enough with the non linearity and they should have made the ENTIRE game with the exception of the DLC, Crumbling Farum Azula and the Haligtree accessible through shortcuts, teleport points or quests as that could have served the open world design better than the open but empty traversal options we have now.

The last thing on this earth that I want from fromsoft is more DS3
I would take 2 more pvpve switch 2 exclusives before I'd put up with that shit again

Same, I would like to see another action-RPG out of them but NOT another souls clone.
They should revisit Kings Field and make a slow/methodical first-person dungeon crawler with a much larger emphasis on exploration, character interactivity and puzzle solving than flashy combat and spells.

I want more linear

I want shorter and shorter

Just symptoms of zoomers and brainrotted millenials wanting things that are very very easy to digest to suit their nonexistent attention span and tiktok addiction

open world good

People want another Dark Souls 3 not this autism

Dark Souls 3 was a linear piece of shit

Elden Ring was fun for one blind playthrough. But now id rather replay any other Souls game than it

DS1 still has Sen's Fortress and Anor Londo required for progression similar to

Road of sacrifices is required for progression.

I don't think you're getting it. Every game has moments where you have to linearly progress through parts of it.
DS3 is the only game where the game is progressed in one way.

I never liked Meme Souls II but Dark Souls 1 is pretty linear

oh I cant skip this area

This is not the same as

Play area A, B and C in the order you like

So you have been refuted, apologize and go back to plebbit

was Dark Souls 3 kinda rushed? yes sort of because the A team was working on the better game, Bloodborne.
The artists, level designers, etc.

Well not really, you have 4 lords of cinder you can do in any order you like. You also have optional bosses like Nameless King or Oceiros you can fight any time you want.

People want another Dark Souls 3

No, people want another Dark Souls 2.

Dark Souls 1 is pretty linear

...Are you retarded? Once you get past Asylum Demon DS1's world is extremely open ended and becomes more so if you choose the Master Key.

apologize and go back to plebbit

Retard. Apologise for being an obnoxious shit flinger.

you have 4 lords of cinder you can do in any order you like.

Only Yhorm and Aldrich are interchangable

You have zero valid criticism for Dark Souls 3
Go back to play Counter Strike on steam

It also allows for a larger amount of replay value

ER has close to zero replay value if you are thorough in your exploration the first time you play.

Don't try to lie about DS1 to prop up your shit game.

Dark Souls 1.

Yeah no shit

It also allows for a larger amount of replay value as every build wants some different loot that is scattered all over the world which makes each start feel more unique

No it doesn't, it just made each start a tedious bore as you hop on Torrent and effortlessly ride around unobstructed gathering the items for the build.
