I think the "slightly shorter but deeper" is a good thing.
Concerned how full voiced dialogue might mess up dialogue quality, harder to do rewrites. And concerned with how it might effect future content like DLC too. Since if they are gonna add companions like in RT with every DLC, they are gonna have to give them reactivity to previous content including DLCs for example (I.E. Arbites in next RT DLC will need to have comments for Void Shadows and Kibellah for Lex etc.)

In theory, I don't mind a shorter game as Rogue Trader's Acts 3 and 5 were both underbaked and superfluous, and added nothing in the game. If Dark Heresy is going to be only Rogue Trader's Prologue, Act 1, 2, and 4, but fleshed out even more, I'm very happy.

My only concern is the extremely lacklustre companions they have shown.
But there are obviously going to be more, and Abelard, while looking like a boring, generic character, is actually one of the best owlcat companions. So I will try to not be too negative about it.
Considering that there is not a single potential waifu in the shown line up, though, that is a real concern. As the unrevealed companions are not likely to all be waifus.

The companions seem pretty lame but maybe they are more interesting once you get to know them however this one has me actually worried. The whole point of an investigation is to find the correct answer, so I feel like this has the potential to be really unsatisfying or outright frustrating. I don't want some ambiguous "maybe you got the correct suspect, maybe you didn't" bullshit or get dogshit rewards because I didn't let a corrupt but wealthy suspect go.

The companions look very underwhelming, can't say it's a good sign for the game as a whole. Also it's quite obvious they aren't going to go with the low power level Dark Heresy is known for, which is another disappointment.

In Owlcats interview a few months back they confirmed they are not working on Eberron, Forgotten Realms, Planescape, World Of Darkness, Shadowrun, WHFB, Pathfinder, or their own original setting. So that leaves 40K, Dark Sun, or Exalted. Considering how unknown and forgotten both Dark Sun and Exalted are, it is absolutely possible that every single one of their current projects is 40K.

Devs said them being such a new faction is a double edged sword. They don't have near as much lore to draw inspiration from like the admech and necrons, but at the same time that leaves them a lot of freedom to fill in the blanks.

The vast majority of their holdings outside the galactic core were wiped out by tyranids. Pretty much the only survivors were small isolated enclaves and mercenaries like the iron heads on Necromunda. The current iteration are the ones that stayed in and colonized the world's close to the galactic core, the are a confederation of various guilds and such that call themselves the Leagues of Votann.

Honestly, I think that people's kneejerk reaction against the Leagues of Votan has been rather premature. The core concept of them as a race and even their aesthetics works pretty nicely at translating dwarves into space (far better imo than the og squats) while they also work as a nice contrast to the Imperium and a tie to the Dark Age of Technology of humanity.

lexicanum is great but i love the lore fluff on the fandom wiki, lexicanum has way less information about each thing, basically an overview and that's it, but it does have information on just about anything in the universe, whereas fandom is still missing pages on a lot of units

on tabletop assassins have pretty much always been Strength 4 which is the same rating as actual space marines. they're about as enhanced as somebody can possibly be in the setting, the reason they're not used everywhere is that it's so much more investment to train and equip one than even marines (who are the goldilocks zone between easy to mass produce and effective compared to other super soldier options)

Based on the trailer the game seems to be more unit focused with tech priests working as just hero units, leading armies of units so I assume that the same setup is for both Necrons and the nusquats, assuming that they are supposed to work as playable factions as well (which to my understanding is the case). I find this to be a nice change of pace from the first game where you typically had no real reason to use the skitarii units etc because your techpriests were so op.
I am also happy to see the Leagues of Votan in get some attention as the faction is very much underdeveloped and underappericiated.

The big issue is that their initial release was a microcosm of literally everything wrong with 9th edition 40k

Yeah, GW's inability to ballance shit really gave people a bad first impression of the LotV. Hopefully they will get some new stuff in the next edition and generally better fleshed out range. The skitarii definitely had their uses in the first game, provided they were leveled up or you had that class of tech priest that could buff them and summon them anywhere on the map for reduced cost. They're rare but can collaborate with other imperial forces fine, Culexus are the ones with the big super secret lockdown temple since they're all blanks. People want a Callidus girlfriend because Jaq Draco had one and an Inquisitor is one of the few people who could requisition an assassin's service long-term. On tabletop there's literally an Imperial Agents codex where you can have an inquisitor warlord and his assassin buddies as an army now

Momentum is a serious problem but the thing that really does break the game is the Officer, in fact one of the main reasons the Momentum issue is so big is specifically because of Officers Momentum ability being so busted, imagine if every Momentum ability was Operative level, it would become a non issue. Officers fundamentally break the game, Owlcat designed all the encounters so that you can win without an Officer, which means that if you do have one everything becomes ridiculously easy as enemies that are designed for a 50 BS Argenta with 1-2 shots a turn are suddenly facing an Argenta with 80-90 BS with 8-9 shots a round. It's ridiculous that Owlcat actually let the Officer class as is.

This is a Dark Heresy game, not a Kryptman game.

My biggest fear is that they'll lean too hard into the grimdark nature of the setting and make the story into a miserable tragedy. Rogue Trader was already bad enough with the awful ending slides, and I'll likely end up looking up all the possible endings and major plot spoilers before I buy the game.

My second biggest concern is that there end up being no fuckable space babes. The nigger medicae does nothing for me and this time unfortunately the elf is a guy. If I get to become an inquisitor then the least they could do is give me a Callidus to occupy the position of the Inquisitor's personal cocksleeve in my retinue. Rogue psyker/daemonhost loli would be great too.

That is normal for a RT TTRPG honestly, you're pretty much the equivalent of a space marine chapter master in power and influence both after a few game sessions. And the archeo/xenotech you can bolt on your ship can make it a match for an entire fleet.
