What is Anon Babble's consensus on this game

7/10

Consensus is Rebecca is the best character and should have been in the game

Saying the console versions run fine when they ran worse than Goldeneye on N64 was a huge dick move just to cash in on preorders but whatever. I like it.

I played the shit out of this and ended up hating it
I played the shit out of BG3 after this and after seeing how ass that game was, it put CP2077 in a much better light in my mind

Didn't live up to the hype but it's a solid 8/10

Reminder this is a LOLI
Reminder she is CANONICALLY a child PROSTITUTE
Reminder she is THE most POPULAR character of the entire cp2077 IP
Reminder ESG cocksuckers at CDPR wanted her GONE
Reminder THIS is what total MAJORITY of the audience WANTS
Reminder THE LOLI MUST STAY
This. Based as FUCK.

Even the PC version wasn't fine. It """ran""" """fine""" as in you can get a reasonably stable FPS on the hardware they said it would, but the game had absolutely all the worst problems the game actually had a reputation for at launch. The blobby NPCs, cars changing model/color just from looking different directions, NPCs morphing into others, NCPD officers just spawning in corners of rooms, crashing, the list goes on. All the YouTube videos, webms, Shazamposting, all of those problems were in the PC version too, just to less extent in some cases, but completely unacceptable.
I like the game now, but I will never defend CDPR over that launch and no way I'm touching TW4 release week.

needs mods for hacking and stealth
main story and premise are dogshit imo

I lost all interest in the Witcher series, I just want more Cyberpunk. But I had to wait forever because they announced it so early, they botched the launch and now it's several years away with the sequel. It just sucks.

I loved the cinematic aspects of it and the rp integration into dialogue, BUT, origins, skills and many some interactivity with the city showed it needed at the very least 1.5 more years of development.

As it stands, it is a competent action rpg, but with the netrunner taking a major backseat in terms of gameplay. Also what was promised however was that your origin was going to play large role on both story and gameplay elements. The stealth parts of the game are very rudimentary and so many cool things that were in the trailers could have been there, such as controlling the flathead beyond that first mission, hacking any enemy so as to enter a hostile network, perhaps deeper hacking mechanics that also affect dialogue. Basically its just short of being the Deus Ex + GTA masterpiece it aimed to be.

What I hope for the sequel is: 1.deeper stealth mechanics, better hacking or exploration for codes/secrets. 2. Better and harder AI and enemies that can really hack you back. 3. Utilizing drones, robots for stealth and combat. 5. Planning and executing heists for major side missions ala edgerunners.

its okay
people just came to accept its technical shortcomings and linear story sadly

bMcwFApy9zQ.jpg - 604x548, 70.67K

terrible awful game, not worth playing.

ubislop kusoge with garbage writing, zero rpg elements and the worst case of misleading marketing in gaming history

10/10

my wife suzy is in the game so... :)

кeк

its the most atmospheric game ever made

hey V scan this

scan 50 things

alright lets go

this is half of the quests in this fucking game
just remove scanning if you cant find anything interesting to do with it

not much of a suprise after witcher 3 was 90% batman vision gameplay

how is it 50 years pass but the lingo doesnt change? you cant tell me choom preem nova and shit like that wouldnt be seen as lame boomer speak by then

I still don't get why people "like" this game, it was deemed as utterly mediocre garbage on launch putting aside the bugs, from launch to right now they only fixed some of the bugs and released an anime, what's up with this sudden gaslighting?

wholesome chungus cd projekt can do no wrong

despite what most people seem to believe here open world action games with zero depth are the ones that sell the most, just look at shit like tsushima or gta

Boring, stopped playing after 23h

Active skill tree. Like, you put a point into something, and you can actually feel the difference. Opposed to "real RPGs" where you level up and get a whole 1% more attack power or some shit.
Not the answer you want I'm sure though.

cyberpunk setting but it's shithole californian cyberpunk instead of cool sleek always dark cyberpunk

Opposed to "real RPGs" where you level up and get a whole 1% more attack power or some shit

like cyberpunk at launch? Or classic RPGs?

you put a point into something, and you can actually feel the difference

they just lock abilities behind skill tree. Is ME Catalyst an rpg too?

johnny silverhand is probably the most generic punk counter culture character i have ever seen in a game holy shit

cool sleek always dark cyberpunk

generic as fuck. OG Cyberpunk rpg was never like that

It was good on release and it's even better today

It’s fun and I liked it, but I can see why some people think it’s shit, even after all the updates.
also beccaniggers deserve the rope

panams voice is one of the few good things about this game
she needs more work

Throughout the game it is apparent that Johny was washed up joke for the most part and decided to become cyberpunk bin laden because of what happened to Alt, but he is there mostly to mock V's moralfagging, even tho he was anti-corpo crusader himself. All the dialogue that he interjects if you decide to play a goody two shoes is pretty funny, I think its one Keanu's best roles, he isn't monotone in this.

its a very fun power fantasy with a pretty good story and soundtrack. shame there isnt some kind of arena/battleground with waves of enemies and no max tac doesnt count

nice raytracing + pathtracing niggers
am i a vampire?

cp.jpg - 3440x1440, 1007.99K

Bought it when it was on sale and patched.
Had fun/10.

That's not something that makes a game a "goty", that's just a meaningless system that doesn't affect anything, it doesn't improve the gameplay or story nor does it diminish it, most people can't see the difference between both.
And as the other anon said, it's basically locking out gameplay behind an skill tree.

most fun i had in a single player AAA since Skyrim
hyped that there is a 2nd in the works, the bones are all there for something great
they just need to flesh out the city and the exploration a bit, it could be really good

PanAm.png - 1224x679, 2.14M

Fun game, been playing it a lot recently, and can look amazing even on my potato

oh wow you took a photo of the game!
Also, is that in front of reginas?

I like it when their head's explode when i punch them.
8/10

Indeed it is anon, how'd you know

It's a gpu benchmarking dick swinging tool like crysis. Pathtracing is it's only saving grace. The game itself is a 4/10 the spectacle is 8/10.

i watched a youtube lets play

I still think it's a shit game. The world just feels off and doesn't have any of the polish you'd expect from a game of this caliber. The driving is shit, the NPCs are off, the sidequests are just straight up awful dogshit, etc.

if the constant insufferable cutscenes haven't ended by the two hour mark it's not a real game but a 3D visual novel

I have tried many, many times to get into it and even played 2 characters up until the last 2 missions or so but I always end up just hating it, every single time. It feels worse than work for me. I'm not even sure why it's so boring for me.

crysis had actual fun gameplay

Boring tranny shit that still barely functions

And you recognized the location just from that? I don't know if that's impressive, autistic or both

sucks to hear
honestly makes me hope you pirated it cause if I paid 60 dollars for a game like this only to think it’s shit, that would piss me off

people

Woketards aren't people

It was ok, I wouldn't say the gameplay was special. It was serviceable just like cyberpunk. The big thing was the destructible environments but even that wasn't out of place at the time.
Games have regressed quite a bit in the destructable department.

A lot of people online and that I know in real life love this game. I tried two playthroughs, female dex/tech nomad at launch and a male body/int//tech build after the 2.0 update. At launch I played this game on PC that was built specifically for this game and it was the buggiest game I have every played, the only thing it didn't do was crash. I got a bit past the first Johnny encounter and was so upset with the issues and glitches that I stopped playing and uninstalled after have many issues I encountered playing it. My second playthrough I didn't even get to the Dex heist I just got bored of it. I really want to give this game a fair chance, since many people say they love it, but I just can't get into it for some reason and there's so many issues that I can't seem to try to ignore like I could with Fallout 4. I'm sure it's a good game but it's painfully overrated for sure.

The anime was nice but I wish the cool body mods in the anime were seen in the actual game.

be body/tech lmg/shotgun/explosive build

every other quest

erm V lets try to be heckin stealthy for this mission

stealth is fucking gay in videogames especially if your going to have training wheels like optical camo just let me be the terminator in peace

Your tranny discord is not a lot of people, freak

The big thing was the destructible environments but even that wasn't out of place at the time

It was completely out of place, literally one of the first games to have physicalized environments like that. Predates all the destructible battlefields as well. Even had it in online on the 64-bit servers.

I'm thinking like farcry and red faction. It wasn't entirely out of place at the time.

far cry 1 had no destruction really, and red faction was cool but not really physics, just carving holes in the BSP, impressive for sure, but very much an abberation

They should abandon anime project which made billions of thirdworld psuedo lolifags, also tranime consoomers didn't buy anyshit with game, they sold 18m copies by April 2022, 20m copies by September 2022, and sold 10m copies more through DLC, which anime didn't do shit, I think it's a failed project and the consequence it has brought is catastrophe

1.gif - 400x267, 451.36K

What about mercenaries? That had some good destruction. Farcry 2 had some destruction also. Remember though barely anyone could run crysis when it was released and it took years for hardware to catch up.

i really enjoy the open world gameplay. the shooting in this game feels really good imo, and its fun to do the gigs and police missions

it was alright pre 2.0 and the DLC pushed it over the edge into great territory. Gameplay is okay but needs a overhaul mod for actually difficult combat and setting/narrative/character wise its the strongest from CDPR line up

it also has the most successful expansion in all of their stable, surpassing even heart of stone and blood and wine

barely anyone could run it at 60 fps, 1080p, maxed out settings

it was a lot easier to run it with some compromises that still looked good and preserved most of the functionality

crysis had excellent scalability

Far Cry 2 had some vegetation destruction but not much else, I don't think you could even fell trees, just shoot branches off, very cool and immersive but it was obvious it was an xbox 360 game first
also came out years later

and honestly crysis physics are still far more stable than most modern games physics, you still can't stand on a tank while it's moving in battlefield without everything freaking out

how is it 50 years pass but the lingo doesnt change? you cant tell me choom preem nova and shit like that wouldnt be seen as lame boomer speak by then

That's my biggest complaint as well. Not even the technology has changed much in those 50 years.

You're being weirdly aggressive for seemingly no reason. By "online" I mean what I see on social media like Anon Babble and my cousin isn't in any tranny discord servers as far as I know. Legit have no idea what I said to warrant that response.

this game has the longest cutscenes ever. the missions are so boring because they just never stop talking and they never stop trying to show you cool cinematic things. i understand people want deep stories in a game like this but i feel it was too much. i often felt like i was just watching a movie.

He’s a schizo who only got trannies on the mind. Ignore him

I'll meet you halfway it was a well made game which pushed the limits of what was being done and holds up today even exceeding most games released in the past decade. Big spectacle game. 10/10

Gun play was still average imo. 6/10 Better than cyberpunk easily.

did you actually play the game?

It was good on release

I'm not a hater but it had one of the worst released ever only comparable to Fallout 76 in terms of the amount of bugs and glitches. My at launch experience was this:

Be a nomad

Get flung 1000 feet away from the cell phone tower I have to climb

Furniture spazes the fuck out and NPCs are in general janked and repetitive

Due Jackie lifepath quest to only get treated to a CUTSCENE of my character and Jackie doing interesting stuff while I watch, it was all fucking trailer bait.

Actually get into night city

Rescue mission against the scrappers was pretty fun, looking forward for the rest of the game

Start the Dex heist quest

Enemies lose their AI, becoming stuck in the ground, etc

One enemy was permanently stuck in in an elevator making him impossible to fucking kill or leave while more glitched enemies shoot at me and Jackie

SOMEHOW kill the glitches elevator guy, I think he just fell through the floor

Entire level is just more and more of this shit

Beat it

Jackie dies comically, he was one of the few reasons I kept playing the game

Johnny introduction left me with a bad impression of him

BTW My character is going to fucking die now

Try to continue a few more missions, enemy AI is janky but so far it's fun

Find an OP clothing for my female V

Wear it, only to realize it shows up glitched on my model because they never attached it correctly to the player model

Look for a mod or a fix for this, there is none

This broke the camels back, the one cool item I found is fucking glitched.

Entire game is open-world nuRPG slop

Uninstall the game then and there and don't touch it again for years after pre-ordering it, defending any criticism before it was released, and staying hyped for 6 years

It'll release when it's ready...ppffffftttt

That was my at-launch experience. BTW this was on my new PC that I built specifically to run this game at decent/high settings.

Man, pathtracing one day will become cheap enough to run on cheap GPUs and every game will have it and when that day arrives it will be glorious. Unfortunately, they require 4090s levels of performance, so that's ten years in the making, but still, nice

Blow your brains out troons

I'm male and cis though?

path tracing is pants on head retarded even in offline renders

there's so much cool research being done into optimized global illumination right now and you could have path tracing quality running 60fps on potato hardware RIGHT NOW but the industry is not interested at all, it HAS to be the shit even massive renderfarms struggle with but realtime

the whole thing is an nvidia scam

youtube.com/watch?v=YTSlMwh-79M

youtube.com/watch?v=KufJBCTdn_o

Then why are you playing shitty troon games?

It looks stunning, and staying on the beaten track is a kino experience
but the moment you try and explore the world it kind of falls apart

its one of those games where you should just play the quests and leave in an (extremely) satisfied state

Those videos are from 7 and 3 years ago. Do you have anything more recent that isn't from Nvidia (the second link is from them, it seems)?

yeah that's the point, this shit was possible the entire time
the latest research is in cascaded GI, which is a bit harder to explain and only demonstrated in 2D right now but it would translate to those 3D techniques and speed them up even more

no personal responsibility
still 600000 light years away from the marketing material

I wonder if they slow things down a bit by removing the cars and you had to either walk or use fast travel/metro to get to places. Maybe this could make the map smaller and allowed them to work on more interactive stuff. There's so much going on all the time (as in visually) I'm kind of impressed they manage to achieve that without requiring top end GPUs.

The quests are dogshit

Cyberpunk is slop but its better than betheslop

just the power of using their own engine instead of unreal shit

Oh, I see. Interesting. Thanks.

I like the game. Its not an RPG exceptr for having skill trees. Its more like a cyber GTA. But its good at that.

Some people can't get over that its not what was advertised. Its like if you want a chicken sandwich, but you get a burger instead. Its not what you wanted, but burgers are good too. Just fucking eat the burger, you like burgers.

Its more like a cyber GTA

except the police can't drive lmao

Yeah. I can already see them postponing the sequel in order to adapt the engine for Unreal 6 or something. That's for sure happening and that will be ten fucking years in the making.

They made improvements to that in a patch, they do chase you now

Fairly mediocre. Much like Witcher 3 it has pretty bland gameplay, but unlike Witcher 3 the characters, world and story is a lot less interesting.

The update just made levelling more boring for me since none of the perks were all that useful. And there's far less of a reason to spec into multiple trees. I found myself getting more excited about unlocking the passive skills.

This is pretty much how it goes. It's alright but it's not what they promised. I enjoyed my playthrough of it well enough, though it also has not really scratched my RPG with cyberpunk atmosphere itch.

but the most fun part of the game is doing gigs

Got CP2077 just a few days and have been playing on Very Hard.

This feels like it has the worst itemization and character progression I've ever seen in a game. I aggressively fucking hate this nonsensical "double jump leg implants reduce enemy detection by 1.2%". My brain is just screaming to escape to Path of Exile or a similar game where I can actually develop a true fucking character build of my own. With weapons, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel to finally find that gun with slightly better stats and an extra mod slot. Enemies have become huge damage sponges and I get dropped in a couple of hits, while because crafting and vendors aren't giving me shit that's any good.

The problem is that it doesn't feel much like GTA either. I mean, it's not like the driving in this game is that good. And having the game be in first person ruins a lot of the appeal because there's less reason to customize your character.

That stuff is by far one of the worst aspects about it. I was expecting little more than cyberpunk GTA, but even then I can't help but feel incredibly disappointed how they've handled the RPG side of things. That extends to character dialogue as well, where V just never quite displays the right "asshole" personality I want him to. Nearly every character or event around you is some opportunity to be a goody two shoes who's on the right side of history, and Johnny's ghost who appeared as a "oh shit" moment initially, suddenly did a 180 on his personality and became buddies with V way too fast.

I don't entirely dislike that dynamic, but it feels annoyingly safe or at least under-baked to the point I keep getting pulled in and out of the story and the stakes and the tension could have been so much higher. Some things feel authentic, and the cyberpunk aesthetic is incredible. They perfectly nailed the cars, where you have these retro-futuristic 90s style Opel Corsas and Renault Clios. Vehicles look and sound so fucking good I can never bring myself to change from first-person view camera. The city looks fantastic, and aside from a few eye roll moments and dialogue like it was written by an American liberal college chick, I generally like the main characters and pretty much every single female I've met so far.

The highs and lows in this game have been something else.

um yes? the dialogue and cutscenes just go on and on and on

half of the sidequests should have been gigs

while crafting and vendors aren't giving me shit that's any good*

Fucked up these posts because I'm rushing.

I'll echo the opinion gigs are some of the most fun I've had with this game. Aside from the presentation, this game's combat is just good enough to make me want to play it (which wasn't the case for me with Witcher 3, I ended up flushing that game) and hopefully see how strong my character can become.

CDPR have always sucked at this stuff. It was worse in TW3 believe it or not. They really suck at progression systems, itemization, systemic design, and sandbox gameplay. But that stuff HAS to be there because just slapping "open world RPG" on a game quintuples it's earning potential.

Your tranny derangement syndrome makes every single game a tranny game. It would be impossible. You can't even name 25 non-tranny games.

Climbing buildings in this game is extremely fun.

Originally planned, nomad, corpo and street V's were gonna have different story progression paths besides unique dialogue options, making the game way more re-playable.

Just do not look up how much of this game is missing due to rushed development, because the really is that its not the fault of the developers but of CDPR shareholders that rushed this game. I would say, that even with Pacifica and Phantom Liberty a good 30% chunk of this games main story arc and side jobs are missing and were cut. The map was also bigger, an entire residential area in north oak was cut, with more interiors for mega buildings , including the Militech hq that was obviously connected with Meredith Stout's quest line that just ends abruptly.(Takemura also disappears in the third act) There was also going to be a Night City port area.

it's very good but needs the expansion pack to add an actual story. base game story is trash but the sidequests are great, so having the separate zone to spend most of your time in and then venture out sometimes to sidequests is the best way to play

meet hanako at embers

is the weirdest point of no return in recent history. so in game she is like sitting in that bar for weeks on end while V gets distracted with shiny things

In an ideal world the game could have two more expansion packs utilizing north oak casino and arasaka waterfront (pic related) that are completely unused as of now. With each of them being led into by the hellman and kidnap hanako base quests. Gives an idea how huge of an undertaking the entire game was

4.5

Yeah, its not that so like many things that were marketed or were promised were not there to begin with, they were just cut due to time constraints. Its very curious because the team making this game was double the Witcher 3 team at over 500 employees and still there was so much confusion with the marketing of this game and over-promising. I think creating video games of that size is inherently very hard especially due to pressure from promised release dates. Still they stuck to it and saved their reputation, but yeah it need at least 2 more Phantom liberty sized dlc to be considered absolutely complete imo. Then there is Rockstar who have the luxury of taking as much time as they want and with unlimited budget and no one really complains, its tricky.

I know it's fun to shit on him, but I think he's one of the better parts of the game honestly. I'm not even a big Reeves fan. I just think it's a decent plot device and his gameplay sequences that made you feel unstoppable weren't gay and retarded because you can actually get that gun for V eventually.

file.png - 1200x672, 1.21M

I just consider the cyberware bonuses as extras. I like that Cyberpunk is the way it is, when you want a break from typical RPG shit. I like that almost every point put into the skill tree is a huge difference instead of a slow progression.
It's just so boring in a game like BG3, which already has so few levels, where you only get something every two levels and it's just the same spells from other classes. I don't know if that's what people complain about with 5e or what, I don't play DnD, but I'm just thankful Cyberpunk wanted to be a video game and didn't just pull everything from tabletop like BG3.

I like him but I fear them getting some really annoying celeb next time

Disregard Hanako and acquire shiny things.
