Warhammer 40k

I AM A TRUE VESSEL OF THE LEX IMPERIALIS

discuss upcoming stuff in RT, darktide, 40k games and your love for the Lex.

1014416380.png - 1080x1080, 671.06K

Anon, maybe don't make a blatant general OP next time.

why is it not okay when gacha games do it all the time?

40k has several good books. Name one good fantasy book other than gotrek and felix. I'll wait.

Return of Nagash, AKA Arkhan's Wild Ride

end times

lol. lmao even.

It's the singular entertaining ET book because it involves Mannfred getting cucked.

name one good book other than the good book

Why are you like this?
Also not as if 40k has anything better than Gotrek and Felix even if Fantasy only has Gotrek and Felix. And the amount of good novels in 40k isn't that high either. You've got Eisenhorn, the Night Lords trilogy and Helsreach. What else?

The first three books of horus heresy, Fulgrim, Ravenor, Bequin, Gaunts ghosts (all of them), Ciaphas Cain (some of them), Vaults of terra, etc etc. Fantasy has nothing when it comes to books in comparison.

Horus Heresy is shite all around so anything off there who'd bother.
I might look at Gaunt's ghosts, never read it. And you're right I forgot Cain
And Vaults of Terra is custodes slop.

Vaults of Terra is custodes slop

Pretty sure you're thinking about watchers of the throne. Nu-necrons had some good books too.

Horus Heresy is shite

You shouldn't shit on something you haven't read. A 3 page short story from it called "All is dust" is better than anything fantasy has given.

It's got custodes on the cover I assume it's just going to be endless wank of custodes.
Also even if we can keep naming novels (just remembered, son of the forest is pretty good too), Gotrek and Felix are REALLY good and I'd put them above anything in 40k.

literally judges a book by its cover

That speaks for itself on what your opinion is worth.

I just bought Darktide. It's pretty fun. It's a shame the character personalities are less defined than Vermintide but the lines are still pretty good.

I haven't read any of the best books that 40k has to offer and yet I'll assume fantasy has better books

Fantasy fags in a nutshell.

Are you the type that doesn't cross the street if you a hooligan looking fucker coming towards you? And then gets robbed and asked "why did this happen!?"
Custodes are absolutely fucking trash in everything they appear. Overhyped, slobbered over and just absolute fucking shit. Just a group of shitty mary sues made for the type of marine timmy for whom even the space marines aren't "invincible cool guys enough"
So yes, if a book focuses too heavily on anything custodes related I'll skip it and judge it harshly. Blame GW for creating a shit faction.

best books 40k has to offer

I named those off the bat though. Eisenhorn and Helsreach.

Let me make it clear for you, you are literally retarded for jumping to conclusions. The book is about an Inquistor in Terra getting looped in a conspiracy that involves the golden throne. The Custodes appear in like 4 or 5 pages and play a very minor role.

Then I'll give it a shot.
But again, custodes = shit. I bet those 4 or 5 pages are the worst part of the novel.

cool. Which class do you like to play in it?

I enjoyed the infinite and the divine. Fun read.

I made a Veteran and Zealot. I suppose it's intended that way, but melee selection for Fanatic looks more fun and gun selection for Veteran. Haven't found much use for the special abilities of either though, charging does nothing to bosses but also barely impacts a swarm and shooting a bit better is also the same.
Currently most satisfying weapon is the shovel for the Veteran, not too impressed with the axes and swords. I'm looking forwards to getting an eviscerator, shotgun and boltgun. I always like the idea of flamers in games but they basically never get them right and I don't expect this one will either.

Its fun to finish the event, and then keep playing the game mode and never pick up skulls. Pick them up, janny

charging does nothing to bosses

you have to learn to use it properly, it offers a window where you get 100% to crit and basically offers invulnerability, mobility to close distances otherwise. couple that with a charged thunderhammer and you can delete bosses. You also can get 2 uses of charge with a perk which makes it. Just keep in mind that the game opens up only in the highest difficulties like any tide game and whatever opinion you have about weapons, abilities, etc at the moment are transitory.

Why do they force players to press buttons to pick up skulls instead of autopick up? It boggles my mind that Fatshark wants the players to press E for 12000 times to earn a pocket change of premium currency.

Ciaphas Cain (some of them

For better or for worse, they're literally all the same book. I struggle to see how "some of them" can be good.

Out of curiosity, how many of you here also play tabletop, or partake in other Warhammer media outside of games?

I'm looking forward to:
playing TW:WH40K
watching astartes 2
laughing at DoW 1 remastered
crying at DoW 4

Celestant Prime isn't Karl Franz.
Karl Franz is Sigmar. Has been since End Times.

I struggle to see how "some of them" can be good.

It is good from book 1 to the book where you figure out they are all the same.

I played the tabletop but haven't played in a few months, the current ruleset is super ass

how many of you here also play tabletop

I've painted a few figurines but that's all. GW can go fuck themselves.

Its like comparing Brandy with Whiskey, You take one when you want the specific taste of that one that day.

I'm reading the books, on Deathfire now

This game plans to unlock in approximately 3 weeks

AAAAAAAAA
I have Blood Ravens, Death Guard, Tau (Kroot mostly), Craftworld, The Empire and Easterlings in various states. I don't play tho, just like to create

You just know DoW 4 is inevitable

celestant prime

Is his archnemesis a dude named Supertron?

Why didn't they give us release dates for Dawn of War remaster or Mechanicus 2?

I like both equally.

your a qurky cutie:3

i've played a couple of tabletop games with my friends (mostly star wars rebellion, they're not into warhammer) but never had the opportunity to even consider playing 40K because I live in a rural area
maybe one day I'll get a 3D printer and download a PDF of an older rulebook and convince them to play for free

I tried 40k, didn't like it, but I am in a warhammer fantasy roleplay game, and my other group sometimes plays dark heresy.

What's the point of playing rogue trader if they keep releasing dlcs that add 20+ hours of gameplay every year, i'm not gonna replay a 120 hour game so many times. I guess i should wait to 2028 when all the dlcs are out

So you can discuss it with your Anon Babblebros here! You will miss out if you play later

He kinda doesn't do much besides paperwork afaik.
The 'main' Stormcast is Vandus Hammerhand not his real name whose rival is Khorgos Khul.

40k doesn't have lizardmen or skaven so trvth sadly.

because they'll probably release near the next skulls event

Wondering how the hell is that dog suppose to work in Darktide, let alone 4 players with them.

This game plans to unlock in approximately 3 weeks

Which gaem??

What powers do you think they will give to the psi raven?

DLC description says the mastiff will be alongside you the whole game like the necromancer and her minions in VT2. It will be interesting.

Sienna Necromancer was a prototype clearly. Hell I even remember them saying that Necromancer tech will be of use later in DT
Lex Imperialis for Rogue Trader

30k>Fantasyk

Every single name and term from AOS that I hear is one of the most blandest and utterly unmemorable combination of letters I have ever heard

you clearly haven't read the siege of terra.

Should I get back into Darktide? I only played it for a week a few months ago and it seems like it barely has a playerbase now.

You don't play owlcat games early unless you are jobless or are an RPG addict. Now is the right time to play WOTR instead.

trvke

geltchad.jpg - 868x920, 137.22K

Depends on the server, time of day and difficulty

Wait till the DLC drops and join in to level up another class which you haven't played yet. One of the major problems of the game is that the progression is absolute dogshit and playing missions with difficulty lesser than heresy is boring af.

Yeah, if it depends on that then it barely has a playerbase.

It so weird seeing people draw Sanguinius like a twink. Same with Fulgrim

If it helps there is an event running right now which gives premium currency if completed so I never have difficulty finding any matches at auric level.

I have read every Siege of Terra book, finished The End and Death 3 few days ago, and loved it.

the whole subplot involving the perpetuals was dogshit.

I disagree.

the increase in difficulty from Auric to Havoc is fucking kicking my ass
I'm trying so hard but my god

I haven't even got to play Havoc games for the past several weeks as I never find any parties.

the flamer is God tier in endgame missions
veteran voice of command and zealot chorus are THE high tier abilities people want in endgame, so is the charge
shotgun is ass, except the double barrel
have fun, it's a hell of a game and gets increasingly better as you climb the difficulty ladder

I have 2 people I try to run them with and we always get stuck on H15. I usually don't wanna advertise a party because some of our defeats are embarrassing but maybe I'll start doing it
3 middling players just isn't enough

Bro the main bad guy of Fantasy is a Chaos champion named Archaon
The main one in 40k is literally just named "Abaddon".
AoS may have shit names but that's mainly due to GW being garbage at naming things half the time.

What's a good melee weapon for veterans?
Power sword feels like trash after using the relic sword on Zealot

Did anyone play the ARPGs, Inquisitor and Chaosbane? How are they?
I saw Inquisitor somehow still received content updates like 90 years after release

This is so weird yet very well drawn. The Angron one specifically is great

I'm in the beginning of chapter 2 in rogue trader. I spoke to the liege guy and had a short fight afterwards. I think the game is too easy. I have the difficulty on normal..should I bump it up or does the game get harder soon?

It's not even that hard till 30 and then it starts to get ball bustingly hard. Every single member of the party should be capable of making clutches to win consistently at that point.

Buddha Lorgar is great

darktide

will never be good so long as Fatshart controls the project

b-but doggie cop

it's a shit game. it will always be a shit game. i'm sorry, anon

dawn of war ~remaster~

hell yeah

Molieric names are kind of a running joke in 40k - just look at traitor primarchs

I mean that was with one player since VT2 caps classes, in this you can have 4 people running around with them. im here for it, shit, let me play as a captain and command a soldier around or something next like a pet and I can execute them to give buffs or something.

Why are you playing RT right now? The latest DLC comes out in a couple of weeks.

ATTENTION, SCUM

dredd_fire.gif - 500x281, 165.73K

Yea but you can have several minions in VT2 whereas you can possibly have only one dog in DT. Even if all 4 players are arbites enforcers, there'll only be 4 friendly NPCs at max

I will most definitely not take that voice. It seems cool for a trailer but constantly hearing that try hard voice would get annoying like the cadia veteran voice or that sharp shouty female zealot.

Into the fires of battle, unto the anvil of war.

2zn76odc1.jpg - 640x360, 57.45K

The latest DLC comes out in a couple of weeks.

Because I'm dumb, and it's really good anon. Loads better than Wotr, owlcat keeps improving on their newer games but I don't want to put my current run down

Fantasy has Tomb Kings, Skaven and alliances between factions. Beyond that it is inferior to 40k in every way. Where the fuck are my space rats GW? Hope you fuckers fall in a vat of boiling plastic

What's a good melee weapon for veterans?

take the sapper shovel pill

good dps

good cleave

fast

good crowd control with heavy attacks

good dodge modifiers

good stamina

special stab attacks can stagger crushers/mutants/ragers perpetually

its only weakness - dealing with heavy armor - is nullified by taking uncanny strike and aiming for the head

if it wasn't the starting weapon, it'd be meta

Sanguinius gets the pretty boy reputation, but he was a goddamn unit and easily THE best Primarch. He was also cursed with "too good for this world", though.

And if you wish for the truth, I will give it to you gladly, for you have earned that, too. It shames me to admit, but I would abandon this wall if I could. The Primarch in me, the supposed demigod half of my heart, craves life with a ferocity that shames me. If I bowed to that instinct, I would take to the sky and never look back. But I cannot. I am half-human. And the human in me demands that I stay.

My biggest complaint about Mechanicus is that the in-game unit design doesn't incorporate any of the body horror in your image. The servitors look like fucking the Frankenberry cereal mascot with a grabby-claw arm. Servitors should be terrifying.

Why is there STILL no tech priest or skitarri class for darktide?

you can have only 6 operatives per account in darktide which implies we will get only one more class. skitarii doesn't make any sense but a tech priest could work.

I dont believe you

I'm shocked he wasn't a nigga. From da hood.

Servitors should be terrifying

Modern 40k tries to distance itself from gorey and brutal depictions. (Compare death guard models and see for yourself)

believe what you like, you asked for advice and you were given advice

1068.jpg - 1256x527, 265.09K

No STC for a new class plus those would be too OP

Why they don't add personality packs for different classes (because I think that quite a lot of people would like to play as krieger or Rambo as a veteran, or have a DOW psyker in personality) is beyond me

It's like Paradox is the only swedish company which can suck the playerbase's money through DLC - fatshark or starbreeze just shart thselves

Curious on who killed this beautiful behemoth of a man

Found out he's from a module that Owlcat could've adapted

See that there's so many different modules that Owlcat could've adapted in the 40k universe

Owlcat went with Dark heresy

Owlcat has so many endless options when it comes to the 40k warhammer, jesus christ.

grf.png - 640x609, 622.58K

90% of darktide weapons have their viability determined by autistic headshot hitbox swing patterns
the shovel has really good stuff for all of that

The new edition pathfinder just sucks so I think they moved over to 40k at the right time. Hope we get wrath and glory next.

Tech priest wouldn't work because they can't be thrown at evil magic slug as a projectile as a typical reject is

Some kind of abhuman would work, but ratings would be unplayable since there are little to no places for proper sniping on the maps and other abhumans won't differ that much from a regular vet aside from cosmetic abilities like slightly better nightvision

Wrath and glory is ass

they can't be thrown at evil magic slug as a projectile as a typical reject is

Arbites enforcers arent expendable as the rejects either. The game would do better if they remove the reject concept entirely.

yeah it's nicknamed WanG for a reason

I like it.

3819343084.jpg - 900x1130, 209.49K

you can have only 6 operatives per account in darktide

why the fuck did they do this btw? what's the point of limiting character count in a game with leveling and progression?

No, it doesn't

I don't think it's ass anon, I'm more curious on how the story will play out

You can question numerous things that fatshark did wrong with this game and still not get an answer from them... Like why did the cash shop work perfectly at day one when the rest of the game was botched? Why do they cycle items at shop to trigger fomo purchases? Why did they not enable resource sharing between characters until very recently ? Why do they still not have server browsers? Etc

ok lol.

30k

Guide to 40k.jpg - 3099x1700, 1.41M

A Good paint job can save them

You are not proving anything with those few models. There have been no attempts at all to change 40k atmosphere and GW loves to use "grimdark" for marketing purposes.

I could imagine so many minigames for it.

409034333.jpg - 1200x1523, 270.17K

Yeah, that's true

But arbites is more or less equal to a kasrkin and tech priest is more or less equal to a space marine

Skitarii that would be thrown at the evil space slugs are literally medicae station servitor with a gun and something like a ruststalker or a castellan (aka fun stuff) are definitely too op for darktide missions.

Average nigga with a gun and robo legs isn't that much different from the veteran class

but he uses fukushima guns

So what? That doesn't qualify them as different enough class.

New dude will probably be from the fleet, considering imperial bleachers have kill team minis and they are dogs hit so nobody buys them, so we need to wait until getting will start their shilling campaign

The rejects could kill daemonhosts and lesser daemons like beast of nurgle both of which could easily kill a space marine. The "disposable rejects" charade doesn't fool anyone who has even a precursory knowledge of 40k lore at this point so no any class isn't OP enough to add.

Which is why they should remove Rejectfaggotry completely. It's utterly nonsensical when we are being sent onto spec ops missions against force of professional traitor army. Entire premise of game is retarded and needlessly limiting.
They are reworking mission selection and story now, maybe they will fix it finally.

lucius doesn't even have human skin on him anymore.

yea sure. whatever you say.

4033352401.jpg - 1000x1000, 73.61K

muh lore-abiding powerlevels

It's a game
IT'S A GAME
It's a FUCKING GAME idiot, not a gospel
Nobody gives a fuck about this kind of canon powerlevel bullshit beyond autistic manchildren who spend their friday evenings watching 3 hours long video essays about some random fucking Spess Muhreen chapters only to ACKSHUALLY-post on le 4channe

He literally does you blind retard. You are making up bullshit to be mad about. 40k is as grimdark as always

ofc it should obey the laws of the universe in which it takes place else it would be immersion breaking especially more so when it has an overarching narrative going on.

It being a game doesn't excuse garbage storytelling. Entire concept is retarded, because Morrow sends 4 untrained shitstained criminals without proper equipment onto a specs ops missions and expects them to survive for more than 4 seconds. Nothing makes sense here and it's another massive problem with Darktide. They need to remove this completely and simply makes us into elite Inquisitorial forces gathered from all over galaxy and from various factions to begin with. Penal Battalion theme is inherently incompatible with genre where 4 players are supposed to slaughter their way through thousands of weaker than them enemies.

The rejects

You start the game as a reject in rags, but that's not what you are for the remainder of the game. By lvl 30 you're full blown inquisitiorial spec ops.

Why are eldars so feminine?

By lvl 30 you're full blown inquisitiorial spec ops.

every conversation during the mission with the bosses say otherwise. they are gutter trash even after lvl 30 for them lol

it should obey the laws of the universe

it would be immersion breaking

it has an overarching narrative

Don't care
It's a videogame about killing hordes
It doesn't need to obey any law so long as it's fun
It is not a RPG, immersion should be an after-thought if it gets in the way of fun
Pretending narrative matters in a game like this is stupid, devs are stupid, and only redditors like all those cringe, long-ass exposition lines and explicator-wanking
Focusing on "narrative" for every type of game is a mistake, especially on a braindead horde-killing game such as this one, and fatshark obviously loves running their own products into the ground

It being a game doesn't excuse garbage storytelling.

Agreed
It shouldn't even have any kind of story-telling in the first place
This is not a RPG

Pretending narrative matters in a game like this is stupid, devs are stupid, and only redditors like all those cringe, long-ass exposition lines and explicator-wanking

I don't know if you are genuinely retarded or just pretending to be so since FS's previous games (VT1 and 2) were especially popular because of the narrative and the character development going on for the ubersreik five during the events of the game.

People didn't actually read End Times, so they don't knwo Sigmar took over Karl's body.

But Prime is very obviously ment to be a personification of Ghal Maraz.
He literally can't be alive without the hammer

It doesn't matter. Even at first character lvl and on a lowest difficulty rating premise is still retarded and nonfunctional. Rejectardation is a fundamental problem with Darktide

It shouldn't even have any kind of story-telling in the first place

It should. It's the very reason why Vermintide was so successful.

they are gutter trash even after lvl 30 for them

What exactly are you expecting? For your boss in the Imperium to fellate you and sing you praises? Have you ever heard how drill sargeants speak to their troops?

Stormtroopers in Inquistor retinue are elite troops who are respected. They aren't imperail guard chaff anon.

Funny thing is that FS is going to monetize the arbites DLC like hell with separate paid cosmetics for the dog and the enforcer. No one will question it even then. Weird.

Wrong
People liked the funny banter and the "what if" classes
Nobody cared about the actual story, nobody cared why they were at some place, all that mattered is that they had to click rats
Games taking themselves so seriously is the reason everything feels like trash nowadays
The transition from KF1 to KF2 is the perfect exemple
KF1 was just fun, shitty meme voice-lines and good gameplay
KF2 started incorporating a narrative and the characters were just explosition-spouting drones for their own stories, which made them absolutely unlikeable, "abloobloo my daughter is gone" I'm not your fucking therapist you stupid bitch I'm just trying to kill zombies right now stop talking

Dialogue indicates you are worse than generic guardsmen which is retarded given our achievements

anon, just because you didn't care doesn't mean everyone else didn't too. you're being very dumb right now. The consensus is that the narrative aspects of VT were great and that DT isn't as popular because they dropped the ball in that department.

You are the one who is objectively wrong
Meme quips and drastically inferior writing in VT2 are a result of Ward taking over. But game is still carried by fundamentals created in VT1.
VT was explicitly so successful over other L4D clones because of atmosphere, writing, enemies, characters and story it had. Darktide shits the bed utterly on all those aspects and so ruins overall experience for no reason at all. I expect for a game to excel in every departament and won't give Fatshit slack, especially when fix is so obvious and easy. Fix the game already swede cunts

I hate the vox distorted voices in DT. I use shitty speakers and it makes the dialogues hard to catch when you are in the heat of the battle. I've had no such issues with the VT game dialogues though.

Cant wait ti set doggos on heretic faggots.
Whens the release date?

June 23. Don't forget to buy premium cosmetics for your arbites and his pupperino for the cheap price of just $10 (on top of the $12 DLC)

Claiming this thread for the Lion

It's weird that a primarch nicknamed "the lion" specializes in secretive operations.

This nigga old as hell now.

Do I understand correctly that they expect you to pay $18 for a dog companion and ability to use a shield?

Well…

Whataboutism

I think you're confusing paranoia with secretive operations.

they had to nerf the chad

Lion

I wonder what he could've been if he had a normal upbringing. He's genetically the closest to Big E of all the Primarchs.

If FatShark is finally getting around to making new class DLC then I hope they also give you more character slots as well.

I mean. They will. They just won't """give""" them to you.

$18

That's just for the start. If you want actual the actual arbites skin you need to pay $12 more else your character will look like a hobo clothed with rags.

From how he started he left Caliban a pretty good man.

Have they released any details yet since the reveal?

not one bit in classic fatshark fashion

Aside from Space Marine and RT, what other 40k games are worth playing? I'm not a huge fan of AdMech but Mechanicus looks like it plays somewhat like RT from the screenshots?

how many shekels do you think they'll charge for an extra operative slot?

42031653043.jpg - 1261x914, 266.89K

plays like Xcom without the accuarcy bullshit. Mandalore video is good to explain how it works without spoiling shits.

Dawn of War is also great

DoW
Mechanicus

You can read about it in the dlc page. The gist is that you can have a dog companion with you all times and they are enacting a progression overhaul with some new story stuff. Also you need to purchase cosmetics for the dog separately it seems.

500 aquilas that they graciously given us for "free" during the current limited quest

Battlefleet gothic is really good
Speed Freaks is fun, but it's a dead multiplayer game
Hire Gun is jank as fuck but alright for a short while

give 500 aquilas for (((free)))

meanwhile also raise the price of cosmetic pack from 2400 to 2900 aquilas in the store

everyone praises FS for their generosity

utterly genius

3292772934.jpg - 864x486, 101.68K

to add to that the collector edition (most people moi included got through a keysite because it got given alongside a new graphic card) gives you 2500 aquilas

Also you need to purchase cosmetics for the dog separately it seems.

Fucking hell

I think he might be my favorite primarch as of Son of the Forest. They did a really good job.

was lion butthurt about not being made warmaster? he was after all the first.

I can't wait to play Judge Dredd in Darktide, it's going to be awesome

He largely did not care and just continued with his campaign. In Lion's famous words "loyalty is its own reward".

I love him but hate how he mellowed out offscreen

Kinda, he was receptive to Perty's honeyed word while giving him the siege engines (funnily enough perturabo was in turn blind to the Lion being actually supportive of him). He still threw Horus off at the start by congratulating him which left bald head flabbergasted. He probably would done like he did with guilliman on secundus by turning the orders into suggestions

I think it depends on the game, really. If you look at stuff like Darktide or even Space Marine 2, you can see that the Tech-Priests and servitors and the floating baby slave-cyborgs don't look clean.

I love him but hate how he mellowed out offscreen

I mean, I don't think he mellowed out offscreen so much as the shit that went down on Caliban immediately had an effect. From his conscious perspective, it hasn't been a day when he wakes up in Son of the Forest.

Seems like he quickly worked it out into a healthy conclusion. I was eager to see this arrogant autist in the modern imperium, guess they really wanted go get out of the fallen plot

I find it interesting how both currently active Primarchs have had their roles reversed. Dark Angels and Lion were the shit during Horus Heresy, while Ultramarines and Guilliman have assumed that mantle in 42k. Blue boys didn't do shit during Horus Heresy.

Seeing what the consequences of your actions both directly before and then 10 thousand years later probably mellows a man out.

implying Dark Angels aren't still the coolest chapter

Not that I tend to give a fuck about tabletop shit but the writing for Arks of Omen > anything Smurfs were involved in.

Even during the HH it took considerable efforts from the kid diddlers legion to take them out of the main show. The dark angels while dangerous were mauled after the rgdan genocide while UM were on the rise

He wasn't responsible for the modern DA doing horrible shits to cover the fallens. They are still cool as fuck on aestetic alone

I still desire an Eldar game.

Have they said when the arbites joins you in RT? Is he already in his 2nd archetype or you can costumise him a bit ?

Cease this heretical faggotry.

He wasn't but a bit point of Sons of the Forest was who was truly guilty, and at the end of the day the guilt was shared. Lion shouldn't have acted like an arrogant prick and shouldn't have basically driven his sons into the arms of chaos but conversely the leadership should have never fucking made deals with the enemy and then on top of that doomed the rank and file. And going further the Unforgiven should not have gone on their manhunt that even at times is to the detriment of mankind, while the Fallen shouldn't be so gun-ho on slipping into the roles of villains.
The entire point of the book, at least to me, is that the fault always leads back to the father though. Lion's decisions, even if inadvertently, lead to all this. And it's up to him, by being a better man, to fix it.

but the point of sons of the forest was who was truly guilty*

Fuck me.

I imagine he'll be like Kibbles. He'll join in act I
Ideally he'd join at either Rykard Minoris or Rykard Philia (or whatever you call the jail aesteroid) since that makes the most sense for an Arbites.

Shame the artist is a deranged gook (I'd plap sangi)

The Lion isn't great at communicating but still gave Luther a big role after his fucking betrayal. For the Unforgiven it's strange because it shows it slowly fucked them up (luther seeing the legion masters getting more and more unhinged until CHADzrael) but at the same time it was Cypher's machinations which drove them to hunt the fallens. The Lion may not have been subtle but he still had good intentions and Luther shouldn't have acted like he got a personal monarchia thrown at him (also interesting note I bet Big E made guilliman do it to also warn him)

big role

send a third one the First, the greatest warriors of the Imperium, to sit on Caliban

He should have done the opposite. When Khan's guys betrayed him in a far more serious way (outright fought against their own) because Khan wouldn't join Horus, Khan instead organized them into suicide squads. Death or dishonor.
Lion should have done that. Organize those that went against his wishes into those kinds of squads. Marines are made to fight, put them in garrison situations and they go ballistic. Fists are the exception but they're autistic.

Power sword is alright. Yeah no shit it's not as good as zealot, you're not playing a melee-focused class. The shovel is also alright, it's very good for horde and not so much for heavy armor, but you hopefully have a grenades or a gun that can help against heavies.

Maybe he wanted them to prove themselves without needlessly throw them to die, mind you it was before the heresy so the times weren't dire.

I also want to use this post to say I fucking HATE how people memed the Lion slapping Nemiel's head off as an exemple why he was a twat while ignoring the context and the Lion immediate reaction afterward

Old shovel is underrated. Slap decimator and uncanny strike then go ham. Nothing beats the power sword ignited push attack light attack tho...

first FS game?

I mean. In vermintide 2 the sole career without cosmetics is usually around 7 dollars

Each class in DT needs 6 voices and the dialogue in turn needs to increase exponentially. The character customization has needlessly increased production cost with nothing to show for.

Yeah it's idiotic but if it wasn't the case maybe we wouldn't have gotten french psyker girl and male loose canon

How lore friendly is it for Dark Eldar to fight alongside a wraithknight? I'm looking into getting some minis and while the Dark Eldar have some cool units, I really wish they also had access to the wraithknights. They're the one unit from the normal Eldar I'm interested in.

It's sad because NO ONE asked for that fucking customization. They should have just created interesting characters you get to play as.

Dark Eldar are more likely to fight alongside Eldar for whatever reason than for them to fight alongside any other race.

They should have just created interesting characters you get to play as.

Yeah them
You rike?

I like the Ogryn and the masked dude.

The guy on the left is literally me

I just bought a bundle containing Chaos Gate Daemonhunters and Age of Sigmar Realm of Ruin.
I never heard anybody speak of Realm of Ruin but I got addicted to it.
Very underappreciated.

Got the game recently and i'm really enjoying my dogmatic playthrough, some of the writhing really carries that pious fury that would have mad Abel get up and stone the shit out of Cain
Its also giving me a goth gf which is nice

Hope you Darktide lads are ready for the Corsair class to come out in about a year and a half when GW wants to shill their new model wave.

Darktide is infuriating when played when newbies.

I don't know who I loathe the most between newbies you can't react when you are netted or Metaslaves

I play tabletop and im quite exited for the new mission pack, mostly for the new deployments for casual games, especially the pincer attack one, where hopefully my EC can just omega bum rush and slice some guardfags up

Any book recs? Besides Felix and Gotrek

i think most people like the lion best. he is so relatable.

derlöwe.jpg - 1024x654, 297.33K

the worst ones are those who don't even try to maintain squad coherence and runs off on their own all the time.

those are some ugly niggers... lmao

He's the right amount of dick while still being heroic

Yeah but at least noobs can sometimes be herded. Meanwhile metaslave especially plasma sissies are egocentric cunts

the males darkblade books and core books. That's all. Fantasy doesn't have much.

males darkblade

Malus* darkblade

Do you think the Horus heresy could have been prevented had Sejanus not died?

Dawn of War led me to playing Eldar on tabletop.

I'd recommend Space Hulk: Deathwing if it wasn't shitting itself trying to function by the 100th hour for me

RoR is a huge wasted opportunity because people known for zoo simulators decided to use a warhammer licence on a mediocre RTS instead of somethign 1) original 2) they can actually design

Also the name is realy confucing, because Realm of Ruin has canonically been Great Horned Rat's Chaos domain, yet Skaven aren't even mentioned in the game

i liked it very much. but im a huge fan of the space hulk setting and terminator armour.

You still get it in the RPG books like "Imperium Maledictum" find the depict
WANG not giving us a chaos sourcebook or archetypes and instead just telling us to give imperium things the "CHAOS Keyword" is fucking criminal.

The Story of Tamurkhan

I liked it, but it was getting to the point where hybrids would spawn with no textures and 3 guns on their model who instantly kill people no matter the difficulty or it'd launch in "Twitch mode" multiple times despite it not even being an option

When is there going to be a 40k game with character creation? Not just the Owlcat games

Play Rouge Trader as a Navy Officer who only uses a revolver.

Don't need to fire when you have Abby, Heinrix and Argenta to delete everything within a three mile radius.

I got some knight minis
Love me knights
Too bad only videogame media we got is a God damn mobile game

what is my nigga archaon doing in aos
hope he wins

knights

I want an imperial knights mecha game so fucking badly.

Everyone in this thread is fucking retarded except me
There I said it

Malus darkblade

Dark Crusade or Only War would be way, way better.

Most recently he 'helped' the Great Horned Rat become a full fledged Chaos God in order to screw over the other four and mess up their plans.

The new DLC is retarded and doesn't introduce a new hot girl like kibella. I mean just look at this shit. I want her gothussy to ruin my RT's life so bad. Not like she could do anything to me that's worse than what Yrliet does.
Also, it looks like they just stole art from judge dredd and robocop.

I love the game when I run into legitimate team players. When you get netted and everyone instantly beelines to get you up, feels great.

I'll play the tabletop when chaos dwarfs get an official update

His plan of destorying a world to starv the gods doesn't fucking work, because the Warp can feed off any reality so 40kek can keep it alive even if fantasy timeline is dust.
So instead he's playing along, while looking for a way to separate the Materium form the Immaterium and creat a realit where no god of any kind can exist.
Short term he's trying to free Slaanesh, sneakly hoping he can learn how his magic chains work so he can make them for all of Chaos.

In terms of power level he's now the strongest character across Warhammers. All of them. He beat up Gork and Mork without taking any damage.

So in like a year?

Same brother I can not exaggerate my desire
Something like a slow paced armored core thingy where you can fully customize your knight and do a shit ton of customization

Yes.
I've come THIS close to buying DoW3 and then using those mods that let you use knights out the gate in games just to satiate my desire.

Nigger, you're giving a picture of an Arco-Flagellant, who is supposed to be a punishment worse than death, and compare them to Servitors.

The vast majority of Servitors are vat-grown bodies with cybernetic implants, not lobotomised victims. And it's not because the Mechanicus is kind-hearted about it, but simply because it's much more efficient this way.

If skins is shit i wont. We will see.

vast majority of Servitors are vat-grown bodies

proofs?

what is that death guard spraying

bros just bouyedghted rogue trader, what am I in for

Based choice. Malus is peak edge and he's not even trying. Dude's riding around with a daemon whispering genocidal ideas into his ear like it's just another Tuesday. Wish CA would stop fumbling and give him a proper Lord Pack update where he's actually insane on the battlefield and halfway possessed from turn one. Also, his voice lines better be 90% internal monologue arguments with Tz’arkan or I riot.

Underworlds is a fun game. Too bad its online version only has like 6 out of the 60 avalible warbands

1000020126.jpg - 3977x5189, 3.38M

Ratling girl braps

honestly some OG blanchitsu would go great on these dudes

fun game that starts falling apart around the halfway point like all owlcat games

DEI

God I hope. Its been a long time coming.

7348267346.png - 1962x1103, 990.59K

True, but the first half-ish IS pretty damn good.

Yeah, I did say it's a fun game. the second half isn't awful either, just weird and unfinished. it's still surprising how the plot which seemed super fragmentary and disconnected actually came together by the end.

I played the tabletop in 5th and 6th edition. Haven't touched it in like a decade+. I played Tyranids (1500-2000 points), and a bit of Chaos (500-1000 points). I'm pretty much priced out at this point. I've sometimes considered opening a small "business" painting for tourneyfags, but I don't think I'm actually good enough to do it.

Haven't read any of the novels. I think they were mostly a mistake.

Its nulore.
Same as the baby servitors/cherubs being vat grown
Uncle GeeDubs knows they're going a bit more mainstream so is trying to hide the worst porn under the bed.

I played the mid 90s version. It was cool being a teen for the troopers and lore. The game itself wasn't interesting.

Cherub stuff is definitely nu-lore, but I've yet to see a source for the "most servitors are vatborn" meme. In fact it seems directly contradicted by novels like Flesh and Steel which somehow manages to make servitorization even more awful than previously.

I've loved Chorfs ever since I played Mark of Chaos. Some of the Hellcannon quotes are still stuck in my head.

DOOM FROM ZHARR-NAGGRUND

PAIN IS OUR PAYMENT

SLAVES BUY YOU SERVICE

Don't worry lads, Chorfs are getting a huge range refresh in AoS.
I'm not kidding.

£110 by the way.

I mean, Sejanus was an inside job, he would have been murdered by someone

Thread giving me the itch to play TW3 again
