hell they died in like 3 months when they came out in FF14 everyone just transferred back to US or tonberry, what's the point of sticking with aussie servers when like 70% of aussies quit games after 3 months max

The sudden rise and dropoff with WoD was way more severe to the point Blizz immediately stopped publicly reporting subscriber counts.
There wasn't really a sudden major falloff in MoP, it was just continuing the gradual decline that already started in Cata. MoP was fun but the premise was a hard sell for people who already dipped before it was announced.

I played WoW in Australia at release and it was 300ms constantly. Now it's like 120ms on US servers. You can't put up with that?

MoP has had it's own little cult following for long time.
I've never heard of WoD apologists in my life. The only nice things people ever have to say about it are in regards to the questing and BRF. Nobody is playing on WoD pservers while MoP at least has a couple like Mistblade and Tauri.

Just play on a west coast NA server. The lag is barely noticeable.

I would never play on a PvE server because i like wpvp, but I respect people who play on PvE way more than the boring faggots who play on PvP then spam /clap at you when you fight them in the contested zone on the pvp server because they actually just want to PvE

the minimap is literally just broken for some people and has been broken since WotlK (doesn't update based on quest status; doesn't show ANY repeatable/daily quests) with no acknowledgment this bug even exists

the economy is completely fucked up because gold selling is legal in game through wow tokens™

the game looks completely different texture and lighting wise because it's running on the nu-wow engine

absolutely insane animation changes like character heads having swiveling

auction house got turned into the nu-auction house that makes it ten times easier to merch and shill meaning AH bots make even more money

certain addons are now bannable offences meaning you're back to making 85 macros to check individual quest IDs for completion for reps or loremaster

some lesser complaints

censored textures and quests (despite characters like Mia the Rose still being in the game)

lag and packet loss. every eu server suffers from high ping and high packet loss

addons spamming text into /p is no longer an offense - every time an npc sneezes the chat is flooded by 4 paragraphs of text

community is incredibly addon dependent when no cata content requires addons to clear

balance is fucked since it's based on the latest patch

invisible teleporting bots everywhere

the economy is a buyers market where real players can't make reasonable money via anything that drops directly because bot farms are running 24/7
