Been looking for an affordable gaming mouse and want to stay away from overpriced ones. Are there any hidden gems from lesser known chinese mouse brands?

I use the VXE R1 Pro
I've been using this and it's great, but after 2 years, the side button has started double clicking and it gets annoying, I use that button as middle click
razer deathadder
redragon m908
Some good one are Incott g23, VXE r1/ mad r, or IPI float. Just depends on your grip style really but all are pretty cheap
weights
Damn I remember that being a thing 20 years ago.
I spend 10-18 hours a day in my room sitting at my computer. I do actually need the ergonomic bullshit. Flippantly shunning all forms of innovation since 1990 because of some ego nonsense is honestly pretty embarrassing for you. Should be extra insulting, coming from me.
Zoomies and thirdies actually buy the shit marketed as gaming.
my 20 year old Logitech G5 had weights
Aren't decent input devices affordable, like 20 usd? Last time I bought one I paid 12 usd and I am using it for 6 years now. Come to think of it, I might replace it in a year or two.
For a handful of bucks more, you'll get much better worth.
VXE R1 Pro or Incott
G305
trannies will buy garbage like this and then spend 300$ on a circumcised keyboard
logishit
scroll wheel and side buttons ruined in less than a year, double clicking a little while after
It's insane how we went from plain brick to insanity like adding EXTRA weight to shoving RGB LEDs everywhere to finally stop being retarded and make plain bricks again but this time with low weight.
Who would have thought that going wireless and adding RGB LEDs for the GAYMEER "appeal" at the same time would be a retarded idea?
fuck off logishill its not 2019 anymore. Anon wanted a mouse not a paperweight.
t. g305 owner
more buttons = better mouse
Does that shit even come with a claymore mine attachment?
Genuinely, I like my mice with weight. When I tried switching to a mini light weight cordless mouse and a hard pad I felt like I was using a fucking pen that could get launched out of my window if I sneezed on it. And I play osu at a decent level so I need precision without feeling like I'm actually playing tablet. Anyone have a mouse and pad combination that makes sense or is a good entry level for this low weight and ergonomic trend? Or should I just stick to my preference?
You could simply try a control pad, those are by far the most popular among the shooter crowd.
What's a control pad? Different material from a normal cloth pad?
What is your preferred mouse right now and which light mouse did you try? And as said, you can get a control pad, they're "slower" mousepads, used by cs/valorant players. The best one is probably the artisan type99 in , but cheaper options are the zowie gsr or even cheaper is the steelseries qck heavy
I want my keyboard ghosting
When the alternative is a 150 gram Bluetooth brick for laptop use, yeah. I'll buy "gaming".
Do mice like that exist but without the retarded 12 year old ADHD gamer look?
Bros how do I cope with never having a G600 again? I've tried several replacements over the years but nothing comes close to it.
but muh ergonomic grip
You need a mouse that fits your grip style
but muh on the fly DPI switching
Yes you want web-based software instead

Nobody buys/makes trash like this anymore

What are those holes for? To let all the dust and sweat get inside of it?
they're speed holes, they make the mouse go faster
So, my history with mice has gone back pretty far like days of the Logitech g400. Personally my biggest preference is the g502 non-hero edition, as the hero edition on paper should have fixed the one problem I had (the cable kink) but it was just overall worse somehow. Right now I'm using a Razer Basilisk my dad gave me since he stopped gaming as much, I think it's the earliest version cause they made more after, and the mouse I got before that was a Razer Viper mini cause at the time it had the lower latency of any mouse wired/wireless and it was cheaper than the regular Viper. Also, I've been using steel series cloth pads for years, but with osu playing stuff at a high difficulty with lots of movement my aim hand sweats a lot and I destroy the pads pretty quickly, and the sweat spots leave huge resistance spots (but weirdly enough I like the resistance despite it really not being good for muscle memory.)
Are men really that feminine these days that they need a lighter mouse?
I wish they released the G600 again and introduce weights and a proper open source software for keybinding. I like slugging heavy mouse. Reminds me that I am using a Going Into Games Machine to perform tasks.
You do not need even that, a second mouse button is nice but you don't need it when you can shift+click. Why do you think you need the second button? You do not need it.
Hmm okay yeah most high quality mice these days are going to be way lighter than a g502, and pretty close to, if not lighter than, the viper mini. But if its the shape that you liked on the g502 you can check eloshapes.com for mice that are similarly shaped, there are chinese manufacturers that steal mice shapes from big brands and sell refreshed&cheap versions on aliexpress. As for the pads, yeah thats typical of cheaper pads, I'll say that artisans are extremely durable but I wont tell you to spend $80 or whatever to import a mousepad from japan everyone. You could also look into "control" mouse skates but I personally dont have experience with a ton of different skates.
I want a wired mouse with no bloatware or custom driver requirement, with 2 side buttons on both sides, that'll last more than a couple years. It has become quite difficult to find this, given current market trends.
Nobody is impressed you can bicep curl a 100g mouse anon. Lighter is better, always has been.
buttons on both sides is very tricky these days. You could use a razer viper ultimate and just keep it plugged in. Synapse isn't the best software but the settings are saved to onboard memory iirc so you can just configure it and then uninstall
razer build quality has been awful in my experience, as well as horrendously overprices.
Yeah Im aware of the build quality issues, a lot of people mention them double clicking, and I personally bought a basilisk as a gift for my brother that ended up shitting itself with 2 years. My viper ultimate and v2 pro havent had any issues though (both bought on sale; as you say, they are way overpriced). I havent used it personally tried it but maybe the pulsar X2A? It's basically the same as the X2H which is my current main, but just changed to be symmetrical
I don't play shooters, so I don't need a lightweight mouse btw. I'm not familiar with pulsar as a brand, do they use any form of proprietary software/bloatware or custom drivers? Anything like that is potentially detrimental for my use-case, I need a mouse that is native plug-and-play. There's a reason I prefer wired.
Depending on why you want wired you might as well go wireless, even the cheap ones are so good now that it's a no-brainer.
Logitech M100
ERGONOMIC PLATES
MAGNETIC ABSORPTION
HOLE TECHNOLOGY
Those mice use a browser based software implementation. Once you have your profile set, it's plug and play.
If you want true plug and play, I think Zowie might be the only high profile one left but they offer you zero customization outside of preset DPI modes.
I'll look into the ambidextrous zowie mice then, thanks. Native functionality is far more important to me than any customizability or remapping tools. I just want a plug-and-play, no-nonsense wired mouse with decent build quality. Zowie stuff is hard to find here but maybe they'll fit the bill for what I'm after.
IMO the current market for mice is god-awful and I hate everything about it.
If anything, a lighter mouse and faster pad require stronger muscles to properly control. A heavy mouse on a slow pad kind of stops itself.
Razer Viper Ultimate has been good to me for 3 years of what I'd call high use, but I don't player fuckin gay games like league or cs. Little bit of cosmetic ware on the sides, and the battery life is starting to die off.
Fair enough, but the the mouse market has shifted to light weights in the last couple years and thats pretty much whats being sold as far as high quality goes. Pulsar does have software, but its not required; they have a dpi switch on the underside of the mouse. Not sure about the drivers. I'll just say that Pulsar is probably my favorite manufacturer atm, theyre producing original shapes but not using proprietary sensors like logi/razer and manage to keep the prices reasonable. You could also check out zowie's mice. Theyre pretty much the only wired mice that get used in esports now, and their reputation is probably the best for build quality. I know they have a symmetrical shape, idk if they have buttons on both sides though
I don't know why but this mouse lasted almost 10 years for me.
The new ones are gimmicky or a bit small for me to use.
Any cheap mouse that have the scroll wheel side clicks?
I've never been happier than I am with my logitech G502. I kind of want to buy another so I can use it if anything ever happens to the first one.
It seems that an older zowie fk2 model came with an ambitextrous design with 2 pairs of side buttons, but they don't seem to make it anymore and I can't seem to purchase it anywhere here. Annoying as it looks like my ideal mouse.
I was actually really surprised with how well the rubber held up on mine, most enthusiast avoid rubber grips like the plague for a reason. Can I ask if your charging dock ever had issues? The contacts on mine were loose after not that long and I had to wired it directly to charge
razr viper
Similar to me then. It can take some fiddling around to get good contact, but it's never not eventually contacted and it seems slower to charge than wired. So i don't use it that often, mostly just use it as a way to tell if the batterys running low with it's leds
tilt mousewheel is pretty common these days.
zowie website has a "find a mouse" questionnaire
recommends me the very same fucking discontinued model that I can't purchase anywhere
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Why is the mouse market like this ffs
only thing about these mice is im worried about the middle mouse button breaking.
no smart scroll for the ultimate 4janny scrolling
Poorfag cope
yes the peripheral scene is sadly a rabbit hole for a reason, and its not because its straightforward
Christ I really am going to have to cling onto my current mouse for the foreseeable future. There is literally nothing out there for what I need, and I don't think my needs are even that specific the market is just an incestuous nightmare with every company making the exact same specced product now.
I understand your suffering very well.
A last recommendation is maybe the g pro wireless (NOT superlight). I hate recommending logitech but it is ambi, and the shape is solid (I could go on a whole rant about it, but suffice to say its good for everyone, and great for no one). I'm not even as strict as you about software and I'd never install GHUB, its the worst software imaginable
My scrollwheel broke on my previous razer mouse, sometimes scrolling up instead of down at random (you can fix it temporarily by bending a piece of metal inside back into shape). But so far no problems like that with my G502. Fingers crossed it never does. That was awful.
logitech build quality post-2015 has been absolutely terrible, both in my personal experience and the experience of others I know. I don't trust anything from them by this point. Also yes, their bloatware is among the worst in the industry. It would truly be a last resort for me to go with a logi mouse.
IMO the current market for mice is god-awful and I hate everything about it.
Why's that? I feel like it's better than it's ever been, with lots of choice, lightweight mice, wireless, RGB is finally dead and we can comfortably avoid big brands like Logishit and Razer while still getting a good product.
Mousepads are in a better state than ever, too. It's like we're past the experimentation phase and you can actually buy whatever kind of stuff you want based on preference over specs.
I realized how much I hated them when I was more willing to download mouse software that wasn't even full translated from Chinese than logi's shit
>but muh extra buttons
m4 and m5 are absolutely necessary
with lots of choice
then why can't I find the basic mouse I need anywhere? see There is no reason that should be a hard-to-find item today, yet here I am still struggling to find a symmetrical/ambidextrous mouse design that fits the bill at all. The only ones I have found, are discontinued products. I've been using the same mouse for many years now, its scroll wheel skips sometimes, but I cannot for the life of me find a decent replacement.
Not common enough and mostly on Logitech's higher end product line and expensive models from other brands. Would like to see it as a feature on chink mice.
Its better than it was but it has overcorrected a bit I'd say. I play a lot of tac fps so its great to have so many options, but other use cases have suffered. Like I was curious about modern MMO mice, just cause It'd be nice to play something casual and lie back and not have to use my keyboard at all. And they basically dont exist. And if someone like me, who is wayyy too invested in peripherals, can't find something decent, then there is a problem
Logitech G502.
been using the g305 for about 4 years now, only had to replace it once.
You better do, because Logitech mice inevitably break after a year or two. I've gone through no joke 5+ of them over the past decade. They always get the double clicking issue or something with the cable.
Yeah fair enough, most manufacturers just went wireless. Only the big brands make you download software though, they're very much behind in that sense.
That's what I did lol there was a sale with a g502 for like 30 bucks
Bought it and configured the on-board memory and put it back in the box
I love this mouse, just wish there was a pinky finger rest for it
I like Logitech mice, I've tested out other like Corsair and didn't really find them reliable (to be honest I've actually got a bone to pick with Corsair's peripherals division, I've had so many products of their that have failed or have weird bugs that never get addressed, everything from mice, to headphones, to CPU coolers, etc), right now I've got a G502 Hero that I've had for 5 years with no issues
I also used to work in a chain electronics store in the UK that sold gaming stuff, and because I was on customer services I would see the frequency of returns for some items, so I'll never go for something like Razer, HyperX or Turtle Beach, but from what i can remember Steelseries were pretty reliable, no idea on the quality of daily use for their stuff though
even wireless options for symmetrical mouse designs are surprisingly limited. Nearly the entire market only cares about the FPS gaming market specifically.
Take note, mouse brands.
We know some of your shills post here.
Are hot swappable switches a rare feature? I know you can do that with Asus mice but not aware what other brands has this too.
pretty rare, only one I know is the incott g23, im sure there are others though
Are men really that feminine these days that they consider themselves strong for making the act of moving a mouse worse because it's heavier?
You need to train with shit 100 times heavier to see gains bucko
after one vertical mouse I can never go back to a normal mouse
shame, I wish more le gaymers moved to them so that you don't have to fish among chink brands and hope they have good sensors and wireless
falling for the marketing
and in the 2030's big mouse tech brands will push the next new gimmick that esports will shill to you to gobble up for 200 dollarydoos.
Why would you not just get a K400? As far as I can tell the only difference is backlighting, which is only useful for niggers who can't touch type.
marketing
are you really so petty as to save a few bucks on something you'll use for years?
lighter=better
this is a mouse, not a sledgehammer, it's about precision not power and inertia
something you'll use for years
mice don't last years anymore due to planned obsolescence.
Here's your mouse, bro.
this, battery sucks though but everything else is great
If you're a pro gamer like me, you won't need more than this.
grade school computer lab kino
I wish a company would do one with just 3 or 4 side buttons
what in the great green fuck is this, looks like some kind of TPU skin for an XBOX 360
he doesn't know
someone post it, I can't find the video
he doesn't know about HOLE TECHNOLOGY
Get the fuck out of here, zoomer.
>but muh extra buttons
not a knower, the 2 buttons on mine are used extensively to browse the web or windows explorer and is useful for gaymen too ig
you want a higher dpi and a good grip
pretending you don't is miser cope
Keyboard autists print their own keyboards these days, any notable successes in diy mouse space?
optical switches are pretty nice
and a good shape is pretty much the only other thing to look for, good as in suitable for how you hold the mouse.
For me, it's the Scyrox V6.
I generally use it from bed (just before/after sleeping) with my computer to the side, and it's awkward to have it in any normalish position while facing the computer. As a result, I usually just keep it on the bedside table and type on it with one hand, at which point touch typing is useless, so the backlight is quite nice.
That, and more importantly, the K400 is ugly as shit.
The only important thing gaming mice provide is a high polling rate. 125hz is not enough on a 144hz monitor. Switched to a 1000hz mouse and suddenly games play smooth again.
chinesium with lipstick kekw
150 gram
brich
how much did HRT destroy your bone structure
150g is nearly 40g heavier than my smartphone, which is a fully functional computing device encased in metal and glass.
It's fucking stupid that a plastic mouse can weigh so much.
maybe you should put your manhood virtue signalling towards lifting and not bragging about wanting to use an objectively inferior mouse
Is this thing any good?
kekw
Kill yourself.
Seems ok, if you want a cute gimmick mouse.

hello, marketers!
The free mouse that came with my dell PC in 2007 weighs 65g. What the fuck are you doing paying extra for heavy mice?
Literally all you need
nice try, but that's a gaming rat not a gaming mouse.
hello contrarian retard
I boughted a cheap piece of shit vertical mouse and I can't ever go back now. It's too comfortable and the learning curve to use it over a typical mouse is not steep.
Does anyone have good recommendations for an affordable keyboard? Most just looks awful.
t. mouse is a cheesegrater
Define affordable, give a budget range.
My dad has this exact mouse and when I said he should get a mouse with thumb buttons for faster browser experience, he balked and siad he liked it that way. Wouldn't even use keyboard shortcuts. He just wants to move his mouse glacially to upper left corner each time he wants to go back.
Deathadder
I luv me G600 and it's discontinued.
Logitech G502 X
I have been looking for a wireless vertical mouse but the choices all seem to have at least one of these issues
non-rechargeable
no bluetooth, dongle only
HOLE TECHNOLOGY
I have a DeLUX Seeker coming after seeing it on Aliexpress for $40 and listed as Choice so I won't get fucked by extra fees or tariffs.
no bluetooth, dongle only
why on earth would you ever want to use bluetooth
Like £40-£50 max.
better battery life
Also the days of 4.0+EDR is largely behind us, BT is much better nowadays.
those mouse with holes get clogged very fast with all kind of garbage. Hair, dead skin etc. would never use any of those
battery life
just plug it in once a week before sleep
BT is much better nowadays.
rtings.com
the fastest receiver mouse is 0.9ms
the fastest wired mouse is 0.6ms
the fastest bluetooth mouse is 7.1ms
ok
idc
well then you have your answer as to why no one is making good ones
the connection is inherently shit and anything beyond office tier is wasted on it
started double clicking
Isopropyl that shit. I've been fixing double clicking buttons with it on logitech crap for years. Just pour it in.
It all went downhill after G5. That was the peak.
better battery life
Just set the wireless report rate to 125hz you dumb fucking retard.
And on mice that don't have that option?
If I buy it from their website, does it ship from CHYNA? Last time I ordered from some random website the thing was held in customs for weeks and the tariffs were ridiculous.
What kind of wireless mouse are you using that lacks the option to set your polling rate?
Attack Shark R1. You get the same features as the flagships at 1/3 the price.
Imagine needing a mouse at all, what a fucking hobo. I emulate a mouse with accesibility options because i'm not a filthy casual.
Left-handed
can't use 99.9% of gaming mice
I got a Razer Viper ultimate. Good enough, just had to do some mods to reduce the weight a bit. And installed the software on a second rig because I'm not having that garbage on my main PC.
there are many ambidextrous mice for this purpose
don't bother unless you have a way to verify they bring 80 million click microswitches for the main clicks otherwise you're going to replace your expensive toy within a year
roccat kone aimo if you have big hands. i used the g502 for years until i realized i was claw gripping it and fucking up my hand
Claw grip fucks up your hands? That's literally just my natural grip for mice.
idk my fingers hurt
