no claymation imitation remakes of the mother trilogy

sad

I actually do care and would play it

fake

overanimated slop

can't wait to play my second favorite game for the first time

This is your third favorite game after Mother 3 and Mother 2

Heat death of the universe or Mother 4 first?

remake

stop demanding remakes. start demanding original fan works instead. don't let nostalgia keep blinding you.

Overanimated battles

Mother 3 style

All the hallmarks of artists who don't actually play or care about RPGs, absolutely dogshit fan remake.

shut up you cube headed shit

You don't need to play games to be able to design good games.

You don't need to play a mother game to make a mother remake

Link please? I'm interested! Pic for attention :)

Why does Ninten look like he's 7 feet tall?

hylics already beat them to the punch on fully integrating the claymation art style into the game, 10 years ago now, plus it's an infinitely better game anyways

Uh yeah? What if someone watches the games on Youtube and is a fan that way? Just being a fan is enough. It's wrong to gatekeep remaking something someone likes just because they haven't interacted with it to some internet autist's arbitrary standard.

And yet it’s still better than modern remake slop

Ah sweet, another fan project soon to be C&Ded because someone was too busy clout-chasing and/or resume padding to keep their mouth shut.

it's just a mother 3 romhack, probably made by he himself

ugh I can't believe people like the actual good games in this series instead of the NES era slop that I only pretend to like so I can feel superior to them!

Yawn.

I'm excited to play it, but if god was truly real, it would be made with love for the original and what makes it great. This is just making it a completely different game.

No. If you're planning on making a remake of a game yourself, you should experience the game itself firsthand. That isn't gatekeeping, it's the bare minimum in having enough experience to do it justice, especially when you're planning to add more content to what you make, which this remake already has.

if you're planning on making a World War II shooting game yourself, you should experience World War II itself firsthand

Yeah ok dude whatever you say

You're only wrong because you're conflating a historical event with a game. Devs making games set in specific wars absolutely should do their research on the equipment, locations, and other relevant information so they're not misinforming people. This has nothing to do with remakes though.

she killed trillions

KINO

This is true for single player campaigns for the general use military stuff and for the multiplayer stuff they can just throw in weapons and stuff that would've been found during that time.

Multiplayer

maybe, but I'd still find it dumb that they wouldn't even attempt to balance the game around what's already there. I can definitely see a modern game forcing that kind of shit in for extra money though.

context for each and every one of these

"Oh here's common weapons that you might've carried, here's some unique ones for specific use-cases or scenarios." Type of thing rather like how BF1 did it, they are all unlockable through play and aren't p2w. Every modern fps game since like what? MW2? Has done this. You could also have a historical mode where you are playing a regiment of an army and it kits you out with historical gear for said army's role like in hell let loose or insurgency type of deal.

The sprites were never meant to actually look like the clay models they're based on. Digitizing clay models was something many games were doing and Earthbound could've done it if they really wanted to, but they didn't.
