Anon Babble, I challenge you to tell me what lord I should play next and why. For reference, my last campaign was Malakai on VH/VH with maximum AI stat bonuses, where I proceeded to buck-break the entirety of Norsca, Throt, Epidemius, the Daemon Prince, Grimgor, Archaeon and Astragoth with my Dongliz shoved rapidly and violently into their GROODGE holes.
Total War Warhammer Thread
Helman Ghorst zombie only
Play as Settra and immediately declare war on skarbrand
Sorry, the mere thought of playing VCs makes my eyes glaze over in boredom.
Markus Wulfhart. The character who's lore has been assraped backwards the hardest in the game and whom I still bear a deep resentment for being in the game at all.
Will they be adding more lords with unique campaign mechanics like changeling and Golgfag? I know it’s not popular but I really liked how unique they were as opposed to the usual map painting game.
Gelt wizard spam. once you have a battle in which you get to cast every cataclysm spell from every lore 4 times, then you can finish the campaign.
Seconding this.
You need to know how to make grave marks though
Queek
Wake me up when they release a patch that allows me to lose
they're almost unkillable when up against pure physical damage and mostly that's all you'll be up against geographically in the beginning.
when is the DLC droping?
when you give yourself to chaos
waiting of the DLC
THE
also its funny how many they kill but you're just non-stop raising those damn zombies
Epidemius is a lot more fun in Lustria
MAW
ANOTHER tretch craventail campaign
Chorfs ruined every other race for me and made me realise they're my favourite fantasy race of all time
I just love everything about them
I can't fathom playing Chorfs without the Nagashizzar exploit.
Yeah GW somehow managed to properly corrupt the dawi principles
which is?
you're gay and short
which is?
The Skaven faction residing over Nagashizzar is hard coded to never declare war on anybody, and their province starts fully maxed out.
So if you bring 4 armies full of nothing but goblin slaves and raid them, each army will get more than enough money to pay for itself, but will also generate an assload of slaves for your economy back home, and the Skaven will just sit there and take it and never retaliate.
Never played TW:W. Should I play the first games or jump straight into the third?
sounds boring
the first is kinda unrefined. I'd advise to buy 1 and 2 to be able to play the big campaign in two which combines the two maps in one. Then pirate all the dlcs
The third works with all the content from the previous ones
no reason to play the first one since its a left 4 dead 1-2 situation. People recommend 3 since if you buy it with no dlc you get a fuckton of content and races, its also the most polished one
the original games are now DLC for 3, you have to have them to play any race other than Daniel, Bela'kor, the Chaos monogods, Cathay or Kyslyv
Each subsequent game turned the previous game(s) into retroactive dlc
You should own base game 1 to get access to its core 4 factions, but you should not actually play 1. If you want to spend the least then just get 3 and play Cathay since it'll be the most "basic" campaign with the most straightforward units.
Don't ever play Realms of Chaos, its utterly irredeemable garbage and even CA has completely abandoned it, just play Mortal Empires exclusively after the tutorial.
I still can't believe they removed the realms of chaos from mortal empires
Oh shit that's smart
Should work on all the "sentinel" factions?
You can do it to Ghorth the Cruel too since he's also hardcoded to never declare war.
Well well well, time to FEAST
make sure to grab the legendary lore mod because it gives something to read
I'm so not interested in Dechala for Slaanesh DLC. Slaanesh to me in the game is Khorne-lite. Their devotion is a diet blood host. Their army is basically faster and squishier khorne. The later enemies alway have built up seduction defenses so you can rarely get any good units from them. The vassals system is boring. I'm depending on Norsca and the HEs to make Tides of Torment to be interesting.
druchii were more fun in TW2
based
2 is a middle ground between 3 and 1
buy 2 and if you like it buy 1 and 3 they all add their races and maps into a grand map in 3
high elves were much stronger in tw2 too, got nerfed hard in tw3, also i want to go back to when tomb kings had skeletons with no upkeep
CA announce their next warhammer project
all the factions have incredibly assymetric, fun and balanced playstyles
models look incredible
expands and improves upon mechanics in the previous games
ai improvements, performance improvements, ACTUALLY GOOD SEIGES
but it's age of sigmar
WWYD
>CA announce their next warhammer project
Medieval 3 is next.
I’d play it as long as the game is actually really good. Hopefully it’s not as bloated as the fantasy games were as well.
Why is he so cool bros???
Take a break play some Zhao Ming and be bros with greasus, and you know what make sure he actually survives for a change
You're going to be too busy holding off the rats to have enough resources to protect the fat man.
Well I mean cleaning your house of infestation is always a prudent first move anyway.
He automatically declares war the second you beat numas.
Long as KO are the last thing added to the game since an entire faction of flyers is going to be ass from a gameplay perspective.
The rest of the game would have potential.
Path to Glory procgen map mode with /your dudes/
grand alliance allows for hybrid factions for gameplay variety
terrain rules and the amount of deep strike effects change the field battles meta away from checkerboards
Also we get shaerk posting 2.0 out of it.
I began a Gelt campaign and after doing the missions in Cathay I went back to old world. I didn't want to deal with the empire authority shit yet though so I looked for a place to stay. Saw a nice little city near the coast called Curonne. Went there to settle my men and park my shiny Emperor's Wrath steam tank but first I needed to evict some angry French guy.
Welf update when?
