Never. CK3 doesn't have supply chains, so they can't actually represent the difficulties of establishing a colony across the Atlantic without just blocking transit (making it pointless) and if they allow players to get to the new world then players WILL colonize it, which, even if it would have been technically feasible in the time period (vikings got there, albeit with great difficulty, they just didn't realize how much economic potential there was), would be very ahistorical and probably fall under the category of alternate history that gets too many people butthurt, much like bringing back Roman culture or Hellenic paganism.
What if colonies aren't what that anon meant by the New World?
Mesoamerica politics and dynastic feuds are super interesting and would be right at home in a CK title.

Maybe not good idea, the scale of Song, Manchuria and Asia countries were completely different level, and they were far more advanced too. There's a reason why Mongols dominated Europe and Middle-East.

dynasty head interactions with your children are broken if your spouse is an independent ruler (dynasty head marriage limitations are over-written by courtier interactions, and children with an independent ruler spouse always accept court invites which the AI spams (the children are also married off as if common courtiers; not as if potential heirs for e.g. alliances))

Hopefully they go back and overhaul the other parts of the map then. It seems like they experimented in some areas, did it a bit better elsewhere, and haven't cared to go back and bring everything up to the same quality.

Players will do that with Japan and Southeast Asia. Adding the New World wouldn't be that different, or even especially ahistorical, if they restrain it to a single specific route, or if they make traversing the Atlantic require a specific late game technology.
