Recently started cyberpunk and it's so fucking childish
the gameplay is fun
You are easily impressed.
what the fuck do you seek with this thread?
it's so fucking childish
It's like it's written by a fourteen year old trying to sound ‘’mature‘’
Expand on what you mean, retard
it's written by kurwa ESLs
they think teen reddit edge compensates for their low IQ
If you've played it you'll understand
welcome to video games OP
I love Cyberpunk so much. One of my favorite games of the decade.
It's what happens when you let women watch blade runner and the matrix and then tell them to write a videogame
But gameplay is fun
no it isn't
I wonder what girl farts smell like ins cyberpunk, probably really terrible
it was women trying to follow the act of a nigger trying to follow the act of a white guy from the 80s
That is a fairly accurate assessment. It's like the incompetent writers made everything so sad, depressing and miserable just to appear so mature and thought provoking and in the end just made a game that has a sad, miserable and depressing story with no payoff, and that just isn't enjoyable.
It's like it's written by a fourteen year old trying to sound ‘’mature‘’
this
Wish they went with 14yo "edgy" instead of "mature"
youtu.be
Its literally the opposite you retard. Gameplay is pretty standard and boring, driving is terrible. But writing was better than I expected, I was sure Keanu Reeves was going to suck ass but I'm glad I was wrong. Still a 7/10 game
I hate how many characters get killed at the end of a quest, screen fades to black, and its V sitting in the rain while some shitty music plays and characters "process" the death. Like dude I just wanna blast some niggas
youtu.be
read a book
It's op, after all.
Play a game if you think the gameplay is fun
Exactly. What the fuck is so fun about watching characters process grief? Video games, as well as books, movies and shows, should exist to provide entertainment, and I don't see how misery is entertaining.
All I wanted from 2077 was to become a badass cyborg with a hot chick and a tidy, satisfying ending and all I got was anger and frustration at the writers for being so fucking incompetent.
Jackie's death is the most hilarious shit ever
He has every stereotype of a character that is going to die
Not to mention they showed the entire first act in the trailers and E3
So you have this pretty fun gameplay in beautiful environments combined with a naive and over-the-top story
It's like it's written by a fourteen year old trying to sound ‘’mature‘’
that literally every single vidya I've played in my life.
Do people that consider them art ever seen a movie or a book (written or filmed before 1980)???
I also started it recently but I dropped it after completing the first mission, the one where you go that gang lair to pick up that piece of stolen corpo hardware.
It just didn't seem to have anything major going for it, maybe its worth it if you like the aesthetic but I didn't find it particularly compelling.
you wont get any satisfying because there are no happy endings in a dystopia
All I wanted from 2077 was to become a badass cyborg with a hot chick
I hope the movie will be like that but who am I kidding. It will be just characters sitting and talking. At least Edgerunners was like that. Imagine how cool it would be seeing some street samurai deflect every incoming bullet with his katana
oops this was meant for but yeah the Jackie death was funny. Especially at launch when he would give you the chip with a pistol in his hand
name a game you think is well written
There's a difference between not having a happy ending and playing as little crybaby bitch
men have emotions too
You're not going to get a lot of satisfying engagement here because most of the chud space is full of exactly the sophomoric edgelords CDPR is pandering to.
SOMA
Firewatch
Pentiment
Ok, I didn't find it particularly funny. Not too sad either, just annoyed that the game gave me literally no agency in the story whatsoever. It's like they marketed the game as an RPG purely by accident and they were making a movie all along. Hell, even fucking VNs give you more choice than 2077.
I loved the game up until fucking Keanu Reeves showed up and started chewing the scenery and making the entire plot about his edgy self-insert
those are all shit though
That's why fem V is better
It's the perfect game to enjoy my AGP. I would argue it feels better than skyrim or FFXIV.
I can't wait for Cyberpunk to arrive in Wuthering Waves.
shut the fuck up
Nice b8 ameritroonerino, let's see what comes out of it
I will in fact not shut the fuck up.
This. I couldn't into male V because of it. It got substantially better with Female V because I can see a "tuff" woman acting like that in that situation.
no happy endings in a dystopia
1) wrong, there can be
2) then make it not a dystopia
I was being sarcastic or ironic. Shouldve wrote /s
don't try Persona games then, I cringed the entire time I played Persona 5
It's hard to tell because people genuinely say that it's a good thing and only appropriate that all the endings are shit "because it's cyberpunk baby".
You cringed for a hundred and thirty hours?
well only during the dialogue and story scenes desu
They're all very light on gameplay, for sure, but that's because they're trying not to distract from their largest strength which is the story and writing. IMO the industry is still largely in denial that narrative and gameplay just don't pair very well. You can't give the player a lot of agency to define their own experience while also ensuring the director has full artistic license to tell the story how they choose.
To give an example. You literally cannot tell a story like Memento if you insist on giving the player agency over the narrative. You can't splice the story sequence in a non-linear order if the player's actions inform how the story unfolds. Or Hitchcock's example of the bomb under the table. Giving the audience the agency to warn diners about the bomb ruins the entire scene.
Persona is marketed towards teenagers though. Cyberpunk is supposed to be LE ADULT game
Because you're a braindead coomer.
Was pretty obvious when they cast Keanu as their big celebrity tie-in. At least with Martin Sheen, Sean Bean, Kevin Spacey, JK Simmons, Kiefer Sutherland, etc. they can all actually act. Keanu is notoriously a much worse actor than his celebrity would imply. Obvious PR/marketing decision.
Persona is rated M for mature like Grand Theft Auto. They cannot legally market to teenagers or children.
moter oil or gasoline
Every time one of you retards uses this argument it makes it more and more clear that you haven't played this game.
It doesn't even really work as a coomer game for me since the women are pretty ugly and even the decent looking ones have weird tech pieces in their bodies which are kind of a turn off
I unfortunately did play it, twice. Once at release and then again when the DLC dropped.
Just found the gta san andreas easter egg. cringe.
I found at least two, follow the train and a data shard with "JC" and "Little Smoke"
Jackie's funeral quest is almost as long as his entire time on screen
and its just digging through some shit, yapping and family drama
Cyberpunk btw
It wouldn't be a problem if we knew him more
He died in the fucking intro
Not to mention the fucking developers who promised we could save him
It's like it's written by a fourteen year old trying to sound ‘’mature‘’
If you're talking about the dialogue, then to some extent that's intentional. Many of the characters in the game, even those that have "made it" financially, are culturally lower class, and the casual swearing and substance abuse are part of their characterization.
The problem is that being justified doesn't make it any more pleasant to interact with. It presents a cynical view of human nature in a media environment that is already saturated with dark and pessimistic takes. V comes across as nihilistic, and most of the characters that initially appear to stand for something turn out to be full of shit. Maybe that's a message that some people need to hear, but having already absorbed it through my day-to-day life, I'm more interested in stories that have something affirmative to say.
Best game to come out in the last 10 or so years, whatever you think that says about the industry.
Second heart and berserk ware have made such a big change in how I play, holy shit unarmed is actually getting things done now
7/10 pretty good game.
Usually I hate movie games and despise when I lose control and become a passenger but I didn't mind it at all with this game. I think the skip button made a big difference, if a character wasn't interesting you could just skip most of it. I avoided all spoilers so act 1 was all new to me and I was sad about Jackie dying. I think it was done well - but I had no glitches in my game. I've seen videos of him handing you an invisible relic or V breaking the mirror and nothing happening except a blood splat. It's still nowhere near the game they promised back in 2012 or whatever but for a cyberpunk looter-shooter yeah it hits the mark.

Left is me
Right is me on the internet
All endings are happy ending. You are just a moron who doesn't understand true happiness.
True happiness is failing to reach most of your goals, being unable to affect the world in a meaningful way, and being dead in half a year?
All endings are a variation of that, except the DLC ending which is probably the worst of the bunch.
Hurr you now live on as a cripple because so mature and thought provoking
If I could hate the writers to death I would without even a second of consideration.
All endings are a variation of that
Star ending V has at least a fighting chance of living considering the Aldecaldos have ties with some of the really out there tech factions in Arizona that have canonically done some impressive stuff in tabletop
Nah, the writing is good, it's just pulpy and melodramatic at times. Anyway, the biggest flaw in the writing is the same flaw CDPR always has with its writing: they think that explaining the technical details with a given option or mission is for some reason equivalent to character development. But compared to 99% of games, the writing is good.
cyberpunk
PUNK
wtf did you expect? It's edgy and hammy.
I'm playing it right now and honestly I just want to ignore the story and kill stuff but there aren't enough side missions
Every point on the map is two fucking enemies after five minutes of driving
Its not like its bad but how little agency you have.
V, is a whinny retard, no matter the background you pick or what you choose. The whole thing is build like a streamlined movie game which just got dropped on top of a open world map
The avocado ending was fucking awful but it was the least bad of the bunch. If the glowies or arasaka can't fix the issue, it's very unlikely that whoever the avocados know can even help in any way, but I agree there's a slim possibility.
The reason why it's awful is that you're forced to get half of them killed for no reason. V can attack the saka hq on his own and succeed, but that is not compatible with the avocado ending. So despite it being the least depressive ending, it's still brought down by the retarded writers' compulsion to make everything a tragedy.
There are like 3 or 4 fleshed sidequests top. Everything else is go to this point in the map, kill everyone (or stealth around) and read some logs
All characters just sound like cringe
I guess CDPR managed to keep that atmosphere of the original tabletop RPG, great fucking job
