Are they going to announce a game to commemorate this shows 20 year anniversary?
Are they going to announce a game to commemorate this shows 20 year anniversary?
Pick your poison:
ATLA game gets announced that is a retelling of the original trilogy seasons
gameplay is not only barebones and uninspiring but broken but you get to play as Aang, Toph, Katara and Zuko in various made up or canonical chapters in linear beat-em-up levels of respawning enemies devoid of collectibles
cutscenes and animations are shitty Unreal Engine trash
Or:
original game set thousands of years in the past like KOTOR
create your own Avatar from a nation of your choosing
but its also rife with faggots, trannies, LGBTQ or progressive propaganda that makes Veilguard blush
gameplay is some Nu God of War over-the-shoulder trash
20 year anniversary
Has it been that long?
I always thought this show premiered in 2007 or something, not 2005.
Is it good? If I watch it, do I stop after Aang's story, or go on with Korra's?
I wish I wasn't a mid thirties faggot who only cares for nostalgia now.
Would you rather play a game where you're the Avatar, or a game where you're a literally who bender from a nation of your choosing who can join Avatar?
you will have your shitty MTG cards and you will be happy
Mall of America has a big Nickelodeon theme park. Original series stuff is everywhere, Appa gets a roller coaster, the only Korra thing I saw at all was one small sign.
Avatar is a cursed franchise.
No spinoff or sequel can be good.
Watch The Last Airbender. Pretend Korra doesn't exist.
Cuphead but AtLA
Why would I want a shitty game of this? The series is great. It doesn't need a sequel, and it doesn't need a game.
it's a kid show, but a remarkably well put together one.
Hmm I'll take the former. It'll be relentlessly shat on at first, but the janky animations would unironically mesh well with the humor of the original show. I expect it'll at least have the same charm as oblivion or something where as the later will be forgotten a week after launch.
Is it good?
Yes
If I watch it, do I stop after Aang's story
Yes. K*rra is not even canon, it was made by different people for money, and it turned out bad. You can watch it ironically at one point, but for now, just watch the real series.
Unironically very well written show. It has some pretty mature themes especially for its time. Not many shows since respect the audience like ATLA does. Korra had some moments, but it was overall just written worse and kind of ruins the world building the first show created. It'd unironically be better if they just retconned it.
>original game set thousands of years in the past like KOTOR
>create your own bumfuck bender using bending of your choosing
it's rife with hot chicks, ripped chads, and interesting quirky characters with the humor of the original show and no Joss Whedon fag-quips
gameplay is some Nu God of War over-the-shoulder trash when fighting from a distance, then turns into a For Honor clone when you close the distance and use melee bending martial arts, light attacks, heavy attacks, grapples, etc which change when you use different bending styles or weapons
Korra is not canon. The comics are not canon. Watch ATLA and stop there. I think there was also a prequel movie of some sort that showed the first Avatar and how he made a pact with the spirit world or some shit, I dunno.
You have a mtg crossover coming.
I don't care, I just want an RPG with ATLA magic system
I'm so ready for queer disabled black Toph and blonde haired, blue eyed German Fire Lord
hogwarts style with 4 different paths and an expansive world that the story converges the separate paths into one, literal random who but could be the avatar because shareholders wouldn't like it if you weren't the avatar
First option, and you get to play as Sokka and Suki too. Maybe some shenanigans with Azula and Mai. I'm sick of CaC bullshit in established settings and I wanna see devs utilize the cast of said settings properly.
Do the Morrowind thing. You aren't the Avatar, but you could be. If you take a bunch of actions the Avatar would, you can discover you're the Avatar. If not, you stay on your single element path.
games where the avatar is evil
Can avatar be evil? or is it literally impossible since they're wired to be good due to holy spirit or whatnot?
We will never get an Avatar MMO
We live in the wrong timeline
They're already making one.
gematsu.com
Saw it for the first time last year. It's a rare high water mark for modern Western TV animation.
Korra nosedives after the first 6 episodes which are deceptively good..
The comics are not canon
But he needs to apologise for his words and deeds.
If we go by original show rules, easily. Balance is neither good nor evil, it simply is. You'd just have to write the era you place your Avatar in such that their evil acts would definitively bring balance between humans and spirits.
By new rules? Of course not, lmao.
Christ alfuckingmighty.
I hate westoids so goddamn much
not a single good Avatar game after 20 years
every piece of media released since the original series has been decent at best (Korra), low effort dogshit (the games), or character annihilating (the comics)
It's over
Stop speaking our language, stop using plumbing and our technology, stop fetishizing our women
Stop speaking our language
I was speaking American as a second language. I don't see how posting a map of the most cucked countries on earth would have to do with this.
plumbing
Projecting much?
technology
Tech is international. Nobody can own ideas.
stop fetishizing our women
PFffffffffffffffffffffFFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffFFFFFFFFFFFHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA
Someone found this inoffensive, forgettable moment more important to address than Iroh being a general in a war who killed thousands of people.
You seem like you missed the point of the original show. Avatar has always been about diversity and acceptance of other cultures
Came here to post this. I'm part of the dev team for this. Still very early development.
I remember a storytime of these through Anon Babble the comics were actually asscrack and that's sad
2007 was when it finally got really popular. the show just hit its peak with the season 2 finale and then the final season drew more viewers
Much better than being a zoomer who will be nostalgic for fortnite and hypno porn in 5 years
The "diversity" isn't in your face or obnoxious despite a blind small child being a main character or a side character being a kid in a wheelchair who learned to fly. But accepting other cultures has never been a thing in ATLA otherwise they would be totally accepting of the Earth Kingdom's poverty and corruption or the Fire Nation's imperialistic zealotry.
Reminder that avatar was always gay faggot shit and anyone who likes it is a gay faggot
Have you tried the Kineticist class from Pathfinder?
I still think this shit needs an MMORPG, but they suck cock now
It was completely in your face and obnoxious for it's time. You were just a kid so you didn't realize it. My older brother wouldn't watch it because it looked like captain planet to him. It's about multiple races learning to live together. Now that the overton window has shifted a modern avatar would be trans or something equally ridiculous. I loved this show when I was 12 too but you are blind to how full of garbage it already was.
accepting other cultures has never been a thing in ATLA otherwise they would be totally accepting of the Earth Kingdom's poverty and corruption or the Fire Nation's imperialistic zealotry.
you are so full of shit. the main character is literally on a journey to learn aspects of every culture and assimilate them into a greater being. The avatar himself is a metaphor for the melting pot.
It's about multiple races learning to live together.
They don't even do that, its still 3 nations separate from one another.
It was completely in your face and obnoxious for it's time.
Are you a bot or retarded?
It's unironically one of the best cartoons in the past two decades.
Ignore legend of korra, it's awful. Even its best moments don't come anywhere close to the original series, and it fucks the lore six ways from sunday.
Calling it now.
It's basically the show or a season
Generic action RPG
Open World, maybe confined to one region of the world
Story and characters are changed for "The Modern Audience"
Katara will now be a girl boss blood bending constantly who don't
Toph will be a tranny
Sokka will be even more of a joke who gets 0 bitches.
Aang will be a side character
Zuko will basically be unchanged, but there will be a much larger romance story involving him and Katara
Iroh will be a bumbling old fool exclusively. There will be no Prison Jacked Iroh.
Azula will be reframed as a tragic character who deserves are redemption. She also won't go insane. Besides that she is unchanged.
The fire nation will be "coded" White
Korra has some good animation thoughbeit
The show is strongly pro diversity and full of girl boss moments. You would be shitting yourself in anger if it aired today.
Go back to Anon Babble chuddo
Why not just let it die? The first series was cool thing that should have been the end of the franchise. Nothing needed to be explored.
It's the retard I'm replying to that is from Anon Babble. He cries about stuff being woke when those elements were always there. Try reading you illiterate faggot
Why not just let it die?
(((they))) must milk it for every penny they can get
Why is delisting games even a thing?
The art style is so soulless it doesn't matter.
you would hate thing made in the past if it aired now because its as culturally obnoxious as media in the present
Hate this retarded fucking argument.
the only good thing about LoK is Korra's boobs
isn't the first one burning earth and into the inferno?
Didn't these also have Zuko getting literally cucked? I hope the tranny who made this killed himself
strongly pro diversity
Every character we see in the series is 100% Asian
full of girl boss moments
Those moments are earned by the repeated displays of competence and reliability of the girl boss characters
Based and flameo, hotman. LoK tried to be edgy and "modern" but just ended up feeling like a fanfiction with a budget. The political allegory was as subtle as a fire blast to the face, and they completely butchered the spiritual side of the lore. ATLA actually respected its worldbuilding, gave its characters arcs that mattered, and knew when to let moments breathe. It's not even nostalgia goggles — LoK was trying to capture lightning in a bottle again and just electrocuted itself.
These are so much better than the official comics it's not even funny.
Also, they're free.
Every character we see in the series is 100% Asian
The main trio is composed of 3 different races. "asian" isn't a race unless you are racist
Why care, it's going to be garbage either way
Sorry that the truth pisses you off. Avatar was always "woke". It has a pro diversity message that empowers women.
It has a pro diversity message that empowers women.
Very well, can I have more if these empowered lolis please?
Neither are "black" or "white" for that matter
Something along the lines of mai leaving him for another person. I think it was a commoner, and she left because she thought zuko was turning into his father for some reason. It's been ages m, but it was really dumb. IIRC the worst past is the guy, who zuko was well within his power and right to execute, ended up somewhat taunting zuko after zuko let him go.
It was really dumb.
Is it good?
I'd say, despite it being a kids show, it's it the top tier of American serialized TV shows, including live action ones.
If I watch it, do I stop after Aang's story, or go on with Korra's?
Yeah you don't need to watch Korra. While Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of America's best serialized TV shows, Korra is pretty run of the mill to lower end in the niche field of western action cartoons for kids.
It cuts both ways. There are tons of scenes in the original show that would be "deeply problematic" today.
100% Asian
Bro Asia doesn't even exist in Avatar
According to Google, it was because "zuko kept putting up barriers between them and would confide in mai".
Surprised nobody asked, can you spill any details?
No
Nobody cares about you’re faux anime. The only good american anime is teen titans.
Modern forklifts confirmed?
Why is there a fork lift in avatar?l, even before korra?
because the comic writers are hacks
it's canon too
