Why did they outsource the gameplay animation? the only animation the French did were the cutscenes
Different skill sets
Have you seen a porn animator try and make their characters do something besides getting fucked? ends up looking terrible and unnatural
Koreans are great at making animations. Just look at their P2W MMOs. Too bad they don't used this talent on single player games.
the entire game is outsourced.
Ohoh so I see it was the based Koreans who dutifully made sure Lune's feet got shown off so much during gameplay. Very nice.
You can stop seething over other peoples success any day now anon
congratulations to ui designer from bangladesh sinjar kuitari on claire obscure!!!!
bro, its true. check out the credits.
this game is outsourced unreal engine slop. the french “devs”’were in charge of story and other stupid shit like ui/ux design and “accessibility”.
Why are the French so lazy?
Is VA work considered outsourcing? Because that's how it applies to other things as well.
You can be just one guy with a lot of cash piecing things together for a video game by oursourcing most of the work
if you cant see how much of a detriment this way of making games has been to the industry then theres nothing else anyone can say which will open your very slanted chink eyes.
I'm just stating facts here, I neither condone nor approve of this practice
I mean if outsourcing was no longer a thing, all games would be voiced by the developers themselves, if you see this as a positive or negative is up to you
call yourself an indie studio
get funding from the French government to hire foreigners to make a game for you
evrytime
you are right. this is the only technical part they did
i remember this larian episode
actually you can't like this game because it has some outsourcing like 99% of the industry
People have been desperately trying to look for any reason to hate this game yet anyone who's actually played it is singing its praises
If the product is good then why exactly are you seething? Especially if you haven't played it?
What praises?
I don't see any hindu dindus in there, great! Much better than looking at the Starfield credits list.
actually people who are saying its good don't exist and also they're all shills. Even though I haven't touched the game I know what im talking about
What praises?
speaking for myself I hate it simply because so many of these lazy unreal engine games feel soulless as fuck, they bring some deep hate from within in which I can’t describe. I hate how the color and shading of the sky, the lighting and the assets somehow all look the same amongst these different games by different studios.
now you might say “duh hur gameplay is all that matters” well I fully disagree, I think video games are good when the packaging as a whole is good. besides I also think that unreal engine action games also feel the same!
its so fucking gay how everything good in this world must eventually become an empty soulless husk of its former self.
Nigger the art direction expedition 33 is a high point. You're complaining about one of the few UE games thats actually great looking.
It looks unfinished and generic, how is it the high point? It resembles most games from the last 15 years, over the shoulder presentation with generic environmental clutter and concept-art painterly HUDs that are still minimalist.
You don't know how to respond because you got no comeback. Now youre just an NPC.
nah man, its the same lighting, same terrain texture, samey looking skybox and effects such as hit and sparks. theres also that grainy look every unreal game engine game has.
only developer I have seen using unreal in a way which is acceptable is atlus
with smtv.
Why are you acting so raped? I'm asking what people are praising. If you can't answer that I'll assume you're just a troll and move on.
Despite heavy outsourcing, credits for Expedition are only just under 8 minutes
Refreshing for a damn change.
Building your own engine is just not economically viable for studios like these
It sucks but unless the likes of Capcom or Valve start letting everyone use their engine, you're stuck with games being made in UE or Unity or whatever
I’ll take unity games over unreal slop any day.
A true lesson for AAAA development. You can still have all the outsourcing in the world and get praise for a "small" game.
I saw someone on reddit call it baroque epoque or someting. It's like that it's based and antiwoke.
It's the globalization of gaming, the 2020s will be the last decade where we'll see studio specific game engines and solitary studios working on AA and AAA games. After that it's gonna be distributing work against vidya sweatshops across the third world all on some universal framework like UE5.
You just can't really make a modern game with the outdated in house structure, companies are literally spending 7+ years making a single game, big companies.
Belle epoque, Late 19th to early 20th century France aesthetic
you didn't play the game.
well, at least for now we still have studious such as fromsoft, capcom, koei tecmo and sega.
You want to name specific people? The general word of mouth is positive and the only shitposting I've seen is here and thats mostly because of the site coming back and flooding with all usual shitposters and mentally ill faggots.
I heavily disagree since I actually liked walking around and taking screenshots
I want you to say a single good thing about the game, this shouldn't be like pulling teeth you retarded troll.
only someone who hasn't played it could possibly say the game looks bad
yep, it's ue5 fog alright.
bro, just by looking at the game trailer I could tell right away its unreal slop.
same exact way one can easily point out a capcom or koei tecmo game from a buch simply because they have that unique look and feel only games with their own engine has.
why did they outsource the gameplay animation? the only animation the French did were the cutscenes
I remember that they were trying to recruit animators at some point. The cutscenes are motion captured, which isn't the same job as creating anime style attack animations at all. DS1 animations were using handcrafted keyframes for example.
looking at the game trailer
you haven't played the game. thanks for proving my point.
what is your point you nigger? I dont have to play it to tell you why I dont like unreal engine, and just by looking at the trailer and gameplay videos I can tell this lazy slop of an outsourced game has the same quality I don’t like in every other unreal engine slop.
This game looks like super generic chinese MMO slop, and that has put me off playing it.
All the best games out there use proprietary engines, so the very least you could do is not just fucking mass outsource all of the soul and essence of your game.
Are you dumb? Not all the credits have the same speed or front
44/8* 1662 people is 9200 people
Yet 1662 people is credited on Elden Ring, for eight minutes
And 4093 on Starfield for 44 minutes.
If they were the same speed, it would be 18 minutes for Elden Ring
this game is nothing but soul, retard
just kill yourself already you stupid faggot. i bet your pc can't even run it or you're a tendie.
