Zergs have been playing around with hydra/lurker because it's cheaper on gas so in theory they don't need as many gas bases, can grab a mineral base

Losing the first bio mass to lings was a fatal mistake, there was no reason to run out at all
addendum: Soulkey zoning with the lurkers and swarm mid game saved his 4 base boost. Rush was too slow to respond, after he killed the unfinished 10-11
By the time he was out there dark swarm was already out I think, Terrans are terrified of defilers nowadays. They all want to end the game with cheese before that. I don't think any of them even understands late game TvZ anymore.
