Back when I was running a potato rig I would refund like 80% of the bigger games I played because I couldn't run them at all. As for games so shit I regretted buying them I don't really know. I thought the telltale Jurassic Park game was super disappointing

I'm actually amazed BG3 is so popular with normies despite being a turn based RPG. Most people hate that genre.

Pretty much anything made by DoubleFine between Brutal Legend and Psychonauts 2. There was a solid decade those motherfuckers could not finish a game and now I just won't buy their shit anymore. Also Takedown Red Sabre.

New World

I played the open beta and the game was shit so I don'ted boughted ited. character creator was good though

Who the fuck boughts a game without doing the surface level research of how it plays first?

An indecisive faggot or woman can waffle on the most simple decision for hours. The person making the comic is clearly the former and not a normal person.

BG3 is an interesting case because it's a game everyone bought purely off hype and no other factors whatsoever. There is zero discussion about its gameplay or really much else besides Karlach and Shadowheart.

It was a fad game for normies. I don't think they ever actually engaged with the gameplay and mechanics. They spend hours making a donut steal, play a bit of act 1, and then start over again...several times. This is where the "after 100 hours of playing, I finally made it out of act 1" posts come from.

This was 12 year old me after renting Street Fighter 4 after all the positive reviews and realizing I hated any fighting game that made me do quarter/half circles to do moves.

I just go with presets

Persona 5 made turn based games acceptable to general audiences. And with Dungeons and Dragons blowing up for normies over the pandemic, it was the perfect situation for Baldur's Gate 3 to be successful.

To be fair, BG3 moment to moment gameplay has more in common with Fire Emblem than it does classic Final Fantasy. And Classic “4 niggas in a row” turn based RPGs are what most people mean when they say they “Hate turn based games”.

t. Hates 4 niggas in a row style turn based RPGs

Monster Hunter X or whatever for 3DS

GTAV

Bloodborne

Fallout 4

Ninja Gaiden Yaiba Z

Castlevania 3DS from Hackjima

Path of Exile 2 was dogshit

3 hours creating character in Baldurs Gate 3

How? you literally don't have enough options for that

Controller inputs were the problem with SF4 and not the entire game looking ugly and playing like shit

Was 12 when SF4 hit

Fucking zoomers.

Yes. Outer Wilds
I fucking loved Return of the Obra Dinn but I can't stand Outer wilds gameplay

Zoomers

Anon… SF4 was 17 years ago. The guy you replied to is 29 or 30.

the xhe/xher that wrote this wanted you to know that pokemon is an exception btw

Millennials are like 45 now, zoomers are done with college if they're not pursuing doctorates

It's funny how she says she used to play competitive Pokémon

Doom Eternal.

I personally believe that if a person hates turn-based they are worth less than the average person. I believe they should not be able to vote nor should their opinions matter.
They are essentially a lower class human.

30 minutes of character creation.
Two and a half hours on choosing a name.

piracy is the best thing to ever happen

I do. I hate spoilers or knowing anything about the game in advance and rarely read or look up anything at most I give the steam page a quick skim through
