So is it highly replayable or am I just going to get bored and wonder why I'm not just replaying Elden Ring itself
So is it highly replayable or am I just going to get bored and wonder why I'm not just replaying Elden Ring itself
Nightreign is way better than elden ring
Nightreign shits all over elden mid
no, it's literally just streamerbait
once you figure out what to do and happen to have at least one competent friend, the game is piss easy and you start rolling over the night lords and then theres nothing left to do. It's ok for about 20-30 hours.
buy multiplayer game with bunch of reused assets
already bored after day 1-2
lol fromshitters are so easy to bait. miyazaki is a genius. make the laziest piece of shit short lived product and sell millions from dumb sheep
It's replayable as long as you're not expecting any sort of rewards for your effort. There's no actual meta progression aside from the relics which are completely random and also extremely underwhelming because almost all builds are reliant on the random loot you find.
this game is for children, what do you expect
It needs meta progression badly
Replaying Elden Ring
for what purpose would you put yourself through that? You'd just horse around the map collecting shit for half an hour or more depending on the "build" you have in mind and then spend the rest of your time rushing through areas b-lining bosses you've already beat to hell in every way because no matter your build this game only has 2 playstyles - close or ranged.
it doesn't, it just needs to be good which it isn't.
the map is boring, all the bosses are just from the base game with some nostalgia baiters from better games.
The same reason you put other men's cocks in your asshole: I find it enjoyable
if you dont have friends, its really not enjoyable. Solo queuing is miserable. No VC is just retarded too, theres no way to communicate. If someone has a item I want and benefits me but not them, I can't ask for it. Its missing incredible basic features.
It really doesn't play like Elden Ring other than core combat mechanics(and even then there's so many notable differences that it's hard to say they're identical), which works both for and against it. If you enjoy the idea of playing Elden Ring as a Risk of Rain mod with less maps, it can keep you busy for some time. If you want to play Elden Ring as a singleplayer RPG, that's not what this game is, and you should save your money for a sale ($20 at the absolute maximum) or just wait for a major content update. It'll vary depending on if you have friends or can tolerate randoms acting like retards, but even though I'm having a pretty good time, I can also see the end of my fun slowly approaching, much to my chagrin.
major content update
thats not happening.
wait for a sale
on a fotm that will be dead long before a sale happens
so dont bother, got it
That's a bit sad.
If someone has a item I want and benefits me but not them
I'm not even being facetious, what the fuck circumstance have you been in where that actually happened? I've killed three Night Lords now and have 30 hours currently logged and on every single occasion where an appropriate item has been found, it gets passed along. I've given Arrow's Reach Talismans to Ironeyes, I've given all kinds of spellcaster/FP shit to Recluses, I get all kinds of Stance Break/2H shit as a consistent Raider, and all you need to do is drop it near someone and ping.
So is it highly replayable
Of course.
8 playstyles
Each class has subcategories of sorts of builds you can try
Map randomization is solid
It's quite good. I'd say you can expect a solid 100+ hours before maybe feeling bored and with nothing to do.
Im a sucker for run based games, I like it more than Elden Ring but it needs more maps, enemies, and bosses
If someone has a item I want and benefits me but not them, I can't ask for it.
Good. Fuck off with that shit. Accept whatever gifts they drop for you near the graces and shut the fuck up.
REEE BUT I WOULD BE MORE ABLE TO USE THAT FIRE GREATSWORD! WTF?!?!
Fuck. Off.
They have something in mind. What it is, I couldn't tell you, but there is an intent for future content. If it's $15 for costumes in half of a year, it'll be irredeemable dogshit, but it'd be bizarre for them to release a game like this and then spend months making a few outfits and call it a day.
plz, just give me the purple pulley bow for ironeye.
it's boring but also runs don't last long enough so it's a frantic kind of boring
then you dont know fromsoft.
how about you don't greed drops just for the passive effect you fucking leech
I'm still trying to figure out why this wasn't fucking DLC for the base game
actually adds things it needed and that people actually wanted plus playing around with the experimental shit they threw into this one would've been fun
DLC
so i'm paying $40 for an asset flip that should have been $20 DLC itself, now I have the option to upgrade to the deluxe version. This is insane.
Right, because previously in their Fantasy games they have been known to drop random cosmetics as DLC. Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, all of those games have also had MTX costumes and nothing else.
I don't. I'm just not interested in spergs wasting time begging me for my fucking items.
The amount of communication in NR is perfect
Hey there's ITEM here
Let's go here!
I agree! Let's do it!
This is all you need.
all of those games have also had MTX
bloodborne and DS2 did.
If VC was in the game
Hi guys, this boss is incredibly weak to Lightning so lets build around lightning and focus on Lightning Builds
nope, none of that.
Every day FDS proves itself to be a genuine mental disorder more and more.
Yeah. It's fucking cringe. I don't want to hear that, you can fuck off.
hows it being stuck on the first expedition?
Or I could tell my team to bring a fucking bow for AUGUR WHO STAYS IN THE AIR 24/7 FUCK YOU RAIDER NO HITS FOR YOU so bring the bow.
Not that guy but:
All three players queued into the boss that all three players are literally required to have selected before matchmaking
All three players visibly know the boss has a specific weakness as it shown both on the boss's icon and in the description of the boss
"Hey guys it's me, EldenJohn_TTV here, and I just want you guys to remember that the boss is weak to Lightning. So make sure when we go and pip the marks on the map, open treasure chests, and collect items like we already are, you make sure to counterbuild with lightning. It'll be essential to our progress. Good luck!"
While I'd like VC in the game for the purpose of tactical maneuvering around certain encounters or just getting a simple Yes/No on fighting things in the field like Fallingstar Beast or Bell-Bearing Hunter, being a faggot who wants to gather more Reddit Karma for explaining our run is the last thing I want to hear, and I would disable VC manually if every fucking run started with that.
I've cleared two of them. I don't need you to tell me what the fucking menu I just clicked on said. I don't need you getting whiny when I decide to say "FUCK lightning" and build a different way.
You. Can. Fuck. Off.
thats why Ironeye is S tier at the moment and all other chars are like B tier at best.
Ironeye excels at everything.
just fucking add voice chat, holy shit. it's not that hard, dont like it fucking mute it
It's dogshit do not buy it.
Only tryhards use vc in coop games
No. Use your fucking gayass discord app and talk to your friends over there.
I'm going to purposefully throw matches if I don't like what you say. Don't do that.
autistic fuck
Eat shit faggot. Fromsoft MP is about silent bonds and understandings.
It's fun with friends. With solo or randoms? Not so much.
Regular bows are alright on other characters. I'm still salty because we barely lost to it with 2 raiders and a Wylder because I brought a greatbow and the others didn't and the nuke + Sleep AOE kept getting them. But greatbows suck too, regular bows are better.
This is what's wrong, fromsoft and multi-player should not be in the same sentence
99% of the assets are reused from Elden Ring
only the base game too, there's only 1 or 2 bosses from SotE and no regular enemies
only 6 bosses are brought over from DS1-3 and they've barely been upgraded, so the DS1 & 2 bosses are basically just punching bags
only 1 map
that map barely has any randomization to it at all
95% of the random buffs you get from beating bosses are just stat buffs and the ones that actually give some kind of unique effect are worthless
the random relics you get from doing runs are dogshit and everyone just ends up using the ones from the character quests
This is easily the worst Roguelite mode I've played in anything so far, no effort went into this game at all.
So is it highly replayable or am I just going to get bo
LMAO
Not even the from shills aare getting addicted to this game
fromsoft and multi-player should not be in the same sentence
Unless you started playing their games back in King's Field era, you don't know what you're talking about. Even back in Armored Core the primary emphasis was multiplayer with a singleplayer story to justify it.
Anon, the silent cooperation of Souls MP is part of it's CORE IDENTITY
Miyazaki on the origins of Fromsoft MP
"The origin of that idea is actually due to a personal experience where a car suddenly stopped on a hillside after some heavy snow and started to slip," says Miyazaki. "The car following me also got stuck, and then the one behind it spontaneously bumped into it and started pushing it up the hill... That's it! That's how everyone can get home! Then it was my turn and everyone started pushing my car up the hill, and I managed to get home safely."
"But I couldn't stop the car to say thanks to the people who gave me a shove. I'd have just got stuck again if I'd stopped. On the way back home I wondered whether the last person in the line had made it home, and thought that I would probably never meet the people who had helped me. I thought that maybe if we'd met in another place we'd become friends, or maybe we'd just fight..."
"You could probably call it a connection of mutual assistance between transient people. Oddly, that incident will probably linger in my heart for a long time. Simply because it's fleeting, I think it stays with you a lot longer... like the cherry blossoms we Japanese love so much."
Actualy Souls fans enjoy the shining ephemeral bonds you make with the people you meet online.
People like you should be tortured.
I'm actually more angry than I've been in a long time at what a colossal waste of money this game was. Feels awful.
2 raiders
I thought that wasn't possible.
I'm having more fun with this game than with Elden Ring, already played about 24 hours since release, there are some glaring flaws, like not being able to change your starting loadout, especially when you play recluse, as far as I know, and some bosses are insane and randoms go full retard but so far, I'm really enjoying it and I don't even get mad when a retard fucks up.
There are no class restrictions in this game so you can double pick or even triple pick the same class
It’s fine as a 20-30h game to play with friends, you decide if that’s worth $40
It's hilarious that team ninja games have better designed roguelite modes for their endgame for free.
Why is the Recluse so fucking bad
Its not just that she's mediocre, she's so goddamn indefensibly bad
This character is an absolute travesty her usefulness compared to any other character is beyond laughable currently
They spent so much effort making sure mages WEREN'T strong in this game, she's like 20% the character of any other character
No real spells useful for reviving allies
Spend the majority of all your runs looking for better staves and upgrades
One-shot in 90% of lategame scenarios, anchoring your trio down
90% of spells on staves are terrible to use outside of gravity magic and death rancour/homing stars
Final bosses take a fraction of a fraction of the normal damage any other character would do
Magic mixing mechanic is neat on paper but all spells deal no real damage and you spend 80% of the character's playtime in YEAR long animations just to maintain a reasonable amount of FP
I'm so fucking pissed off man I just want a fun magic character to play. I don't need to nuke and instantly kill things, I love the team-oriented playstyle of Recluse but she's so fucking useless even at that outside of her Ultimate giving everyone temporary lifesteal.
Even fucking Comet Azur does LAUGHABLE damage against bosses even with temporary infinite-FP. The character's mechanics obviously demands the most effort of any of them, but boasts the WEAKEST payoffs for playing properly.
t. 13 Hours of Recluse
still more useful than bird
centaur Nightlord
This fight is fucking dog shit lmao. How are the end bosses so fucking poorly balanced in this game?
dude what if centaur that sprints around the map spamming AOE attacks and never stops long enough for you to catch up and hit more than once or twice
Actual fucking ass cancer to fight as melee, like half of the Nightlords are. What a joke. I might as well just main Ironeye if I'm going to get fucked in the ass all the fucking time. Yes I mad
I just don't get why she has to be so fucking useless.
I'm running to towers when I can and checking whatever rocks I can turn over for some fucking magic upgrades, and the entire time my team is suffering because they're duoing what's meant to be done as a trio.
What's even more frustrating is I'm finding WAY more damage from shit like Black Flame than any other single fucking sorcery. This character doesn't even have real faith scaling and yet she deals way more damage effectively spamming an Incantation.
It's so enraging. I know they'll likely buff her or tweak her. Her magic mixing mechanic needs her animations sped up by literally double the speed and the damage of all of them doubled for it to actually be a decent mechanic or something. It's frustrating as hell fishing for magic pulls just to fill the FP gauge and you realize you've spent 10 seconds not dealing any damage at all, and the spell you made deals the same damage as one or two casts of glintstone pebble (not exaggerating in the slightest)
does this game have a proper final final boss where you say "ok now I finished the game" ??
She is hot
the abysmal mana pool is the biggest issue with her. Her shit coctail skill gives way too little to be useful on boss fights
I have around 10 hours with reclusive and have gotten the first two night lords down. my experience is that usually my group relies solely on me for the damage since they are too afraid to get in. reclusive can do some nasty damage. I gotten this moonlight built going once and it was nasty, same with the gravity spells. have you tried dragon incantations? those are really good.
Kind of, it's a big guy in armor with some swords. You don't have to beat all the other Nightlords first to fight him though.
No replyability. kind of fun but I can't see myself playing this in two weeks time
Should I refund? I have 1 hour so far
If you're even asking this question then the answer is probably yes.
It says right there the dlc will be more characters and bosses nigger
So is it highly replayable
It's highly dogshit.
every souls game after DS2 had voice chat so that little anecdote of his means nothing
tfw when you're nearly IN-FUCKING-VINCIBLE
Gonna cut some clips. Holy fuck is Raider hard to kill.
Nah, nobody used it unless they were with friends.
The trash asset flip IS the dlc.
You keep unlocking new area types, relics and costumes after beating enough nightlords so most people just beat the dog one and think thats all the game has.
I beat the stupid moth and unlocked a snowy area.
I literally didn't even really need to dodge much. Not even fucking kidding with you.
But you don't beat the dog.
In this clip I eat Adel's Ult like it was a greasy slice of pizza.
How do you play recluse and bow guy properly cause im doing no damage
I can't possible see a world where this would be fun without friends
Also it never gets old when you do a proper counter with Raider and knock them out in one hit.
The run I'm posting clips from was with randos and they even let me have damage reduction gear to help build up my survivability
eat
literally one hit from death
Anon, I got hit by the entire thing and I was FINE. Literally at near full again and could tank a second one right away after.
You have as much defense equipment/buffs as you could muster. You're still basically dead. Level 1 executer can just parry the fucking lightning and take 0 damage.
Use ironeye's dash on enemies as it adds a weak point to them making them take more damage and when the mark expires after a set amount of damage it makes the enemies briefly stagger interrupting whatever they were doing
I just spent 10 straight hours playing it. I didn't like the game much at first because why do I have to constantly be running? Now I realize what this game is: it's for people who just want to fight enemies with a group. It forces you to get good: you need to learn what to take on, where to go first, etc. Play 3 or 4 runs not expecting to beat the game and you'll star to get it: always be hitting up churches, hit up the weak camps, take on the overworld minibosses, and then you'll learn where and when to take on the stronger things like big camps and castles. Also one big protip: don't try to act like the party leader. Put down pins on the big things like churches but if someone wants to go first a camp or ruins first, go ahead and accompany them. Since you can't coordinate any other way, don't be greedy and go off on your own: stick with at least one other person. Now if they don't know what they're doing, they're not putting pins down, they're just following you or the other player, then yes, YOU act as the leader and put pins down.
coop
you didn't beat the game
Anon they already tell you what a night lord weakness when you pick them
This is the build
Anon, I carried the whole round. My party kept getting downs and I'd just waddle over and hammaslamma them until they stood up again and get back to not dodging Adel.
Literally a cheater. Come try this bullshit on PS5. You wouldn't even beat Gladius.
Bro your team doesn't even have 6 weapons, of course you carried lmao.
It lacks content.
Maps especially.
It would be fine as a starting point if From was planning to support it for the next couple years but I'm pretty sure the plan is a couple DLC characters and then they're dropping it.
A 3v3 competitive mode where you have to defeat the boss prior to the other team would've been nice too
They played very well, I was just strongest.
Augur raid spits you out back in a random location, killing you instantly if you get put back into the rains
we somehow survive day 1, I attempt to hike back to nab my runes
disconnect happens for me and someone else, maybe all of us
a disconnect treats it as a death, so all those runes are gone
meaning we've de-levelled twice
Holy fuck I'm so baffled I'm gonna post this in Anon Babble too.
The good news is this almost certainly didn't cost them much.
erden ling
Holy RIP. What do you even do then?
Once you beat all the Night Lords and unlock the, id assume "current", Final Boss theres not much to do other than farm skins
I meant me. I want my $60 back.
Yeah, I saw the writing on the wall about an hour in and refunded. I've watched a few streams of it since then but they just solidified my position.
Lucky.
I bought for PS5 because my PC is shit. No refunds.
GAURDIAN SUCKS SOO MUCH ASS! HOW THE FUCK DO YOU MAKE A CHARACTER WHO CAN ONLY BLOCK AND NOT DODGE GET GAURD BROKEN IN 2 FUCKING BOSS HITS? THESE ASSHOLES DONT STOP ATTACKING!
You aren't supposed to be "tanking" the boss retard.
yeah well this bird fuck cant fly so i cant run from the bosses bullshit either scumbag
Sounds like you're fucking dogshit at Elden Ring.
its PVE fortnite w/ elden ring controls
Sony gives you 1 no questions asked refund on anything. I think it might reset every few years too?
Hope they make it fun soon because this is pretty ass.
30 minutes to get matched
Not skipping the eagle cutscene
First thing they do is run off the cliff and die
This game isn't going to last more than a week.
Die on the boss of the 2nd night.
gonna wait for sale and updates because from what i've seen, the game is pure dogshit right now.
Do not play this solo.
I just beat the dog and I'm sweating and hyperventilating
I downloaded a 400% damage scaling mod, I needed to be level 7 for the first boss, level 11 for Margit, and then level 12 for the dogs
It was satisfying but I'm literally the sweating guy meme right now
Where is this at?
Now which of these is easiest for the second solo expedition. I don't beat Souls games naked so I need to do this in order.
Augur is the easiest, beast and knight are the hardest ones.
Idk how anyone can’t be bored of base elden ring at this point
Contact support and ask for a refund, they should grant it. This works with PS+ too if it auto renews.
I give it a month until its completely dead
Why is this game so inconsistent? You could steamroll the entire level and then the last 2 bosses just one shot you.
use steel guard and upgrade your shield
the real problem is dealing with giant aoe shit on the ground, you can't roll out of it. Libra is a huge pain in the ass as bird.
japs can't pronounce l
they can pronounce l, but only when it's time to mispronounce r
Augur
The guy that never touches the ground for melee to engage?
So is it highly replayable
lol
because le git gud philosophy has let fromsoft make the most retarded bosses imaginable
He's close enough to the ground for melee. You can also just pick ironeye.
if you have friends, give it a whirl. it has a lot of QoL stuff that will maybe, MAYBE get updated like the janky climbing, pinging, general movement, hitboxes being fucked for some reason, etc, but if you do not have friends, I would never recommend playing it. the general matchmaking population IS retarded.
we've long passed the point where people started excusing questionable design decisions for the sake of "muh hard gaem muh git gud"
the difference in design philosophy behind DeS bosses and what From pops out now is insane, today Flamelurker would go into rage mode and do an instant triple flip across his arena with two delayed explosions at the end and Penetrator would have a gimmick where if you stand next to him too often you build up 'penetration' and when it's full he just instantly grabs you and rams his sword up your ass
Ironeye is apparently S tier
Can't play him effectively, have to rely on getting proper bow
Do pitiful damage even with a purple bow and feel useless in boss fights
Play Guardian which is apparently bad
Carry my random group by repeatedly rezzing them during boss fights with the ultimate
Excelent aoe and decent damage against bosses
Almost solo first nightlord with a teammate afk and the other dying repeatedly
I still don't know what really to prioritize on the characters map location wise, but the thing that kills me if the latency. All the grab attacks will hit even if I dodge and parry timings are abysmal if I am not the host which I never am so I guess its server based?
I'm done playing melee. I give up. Nightlord fights are exclusively running around chasing the boss. Nightlord fights are fucking dogshit as melee.
Penetrator already did ram his sword up your ass
A reminder for the bug boss: ice and frostbite literally make the scorpion freeze up, stunning it for like 10 seconds every time it procs.
But the boss intro says its weak to fire. So maybe flame does something similar for the moth?
Please try to bring them to the fight.
this time you get an anal rape debuff that makes it so you waddle across the screen afterwards
Had this happen earlier. We were all mystified. The devs are very clearly fucking retarded. The balance in this game is fucked on so many levels, I can't even begin to describe it without reaching word limit in my autistic ranting.
From is retarded and doesn't know how to make an even remotely decently balanced game. They see people encountering bullshit monsters in Roguelites and think that's all there is to it despite their game not having the same amount of response options, RNG control, or beneficial offsets to brutally shit luck.
I brought fire to it and have no idea what it does. I assume it just does a little extra damage because the part where the ground bug goes into his stoneskin form, fire attacks still bounce and do no real damage.
the general matchmaking population IS retarded.
That especially makes sense as we're rolling into day 4 after launch, right? tbqh I don't expend randos to have much map/game sense when an online game is new. Runs with randos in this right now is like playing with randos in Helldivers 2 when it was new: morons just running around aimlessly lol. Once the youtube influencers start uploading meta strats and tips videos, we'll probably see more intelligent team mates and more players knowing what to do.
this right here is what retards don't understand. being UNABLE to talk is the point
fucken retards. the newer generations are braindead faggots
And yet they designed a game that virtually demands verbal communication due to its nature. Genius.
Then how'd I get this run with randos? Faggot.
Wylder
People dont pick this one
guardian
Pick Raider
Ironeye
You want to win the game
Duchess
You want to lose the game
Raider
The melee class
Revenant
Feet but usefull
Recluse
Feet but bad
Executor
Panic if you see a random pick this
Duchess is S tier, people just don't know how good Restage is.
get to day 3 at level 13
pretty good run overall despite some hiccups
raider player does some fucking damage when he gets stuck in
think maybe this will be the victory against the dog
cut to the actual fight
my attacks barely tickle the boss
even the raider doesn't seem to be faring much better
boss takes away 1/2 my HP per hit
around the same for the boys from the looks of things
we spend half the fight just trying to res each other
fight ends and we didn't even manage to get it down to half
I'm fucking stumped, honestly. I legit don't know what to do against this fucking dog. It seems like no matter how good the run is going we just get hard walled by the boss, and as soon as anyone goes down it's basically game over because it takes so long to revive, then someone gets killed while trying to revive and it all just spirals out of control.
I got it down to 1/3 HP solo once so honestly seems like that might just be the way to go, since it seems like it has less HP when playing solo and the fight is basically over the instant someone goes down anyway.
Are the journal memory things random? I've finished the first Wylder one and haven't seen one since. I've killed the wolf boss two more times afterwards.
People dont pick this one
I do. I like both of his skills.
You want to lose the game
? The fuck do you mean? Her basic skill is fantastic, her dodges are excellent, and the stealth can come in clutch for revives or help burst enemies.
Whoops. Misdirected the (You)
Is the faggot.
Is based and understands the spirit of Soulsborne MP
saying the game is worse for lack of proper comms means we're saying it's impossible
(you)
It's not worse. It's infact BETTER because you're forced to create unspoken understandings which are pure and rare.
Miyazaki is a true artist because he took that snowy hillside and shared it will MILLIONS of people.
the spirit of Soulsborne MP
This game isn't Soulsborne MP, you fucking retard. They're two very different games. You're retarded if you haven't realized this.
Actually, it is
same limits on communications
same shared goals of killing bosses and earning resources
It's just in a new framework. The spirit is still there.
Revenant
usefull
Like what?
She's good against camps but she has literally nothing against bosses, and lack of built in FP restore makes her a poor caster.
after 8 nightlords there's nothing else to do except relic farming
replaying Elden Ring
replaying the game with the huge open world map with next to nothing to explore and no NG+ changes aside from inflating some stats
dog is nearly dead
no flasks left
still have full items that I thought I used at the start of the fight
realize I actually chugged four flasks at full health instead of using my buffs
die to fire breath chip damage through my shield (I am bird)
I think we would have won if I hadn't fucked that up, or if I'd found a better shield, literally 75% of the damage I was taking was off the fire breaths through the starter shield which I even upgraded to purple but it didn't seem to change much
What the fuck is with the R2/L2 + Triangle input? I had to press the combo multiple times before it works. I feel even fighting games are move forgiving with controls than this game.
Massive asset flip
Only 8 (eight, acht, hachi) nightlords
defend this
Me too, I don't use the grapple enough, honestly.
It's my go to when somebody picks what I was intending.
I get serious input lag in this game sometimes, worse than I've ever had in regular ER.
Be recluse
put staffs in left, weapons in right
run out of fp
hold Triangle and spam L2 during a the "why staff no work" animation
it just tries to trigger another spell cast
So fucking irritating.
Don't try to press the buttons at the same time. Hold triangle, then hit R2/L2. Like how you 2hand your weapon.
There's no point in farming relics when all the random ones are shit and barely affect gameplay.
I legit still can't believe this game exists. Like from just outslopped itself. Its literally without memes or a hint of exaggeration feels like a cheap mod
Make roguelike
of a game everyone has played so there's no discovering the systems
with the same enemies so everyone knows how to fight them
with close to no meta progression so run to run doesn't matter
with flat damage percentage buffs so there is no interesting combinations to discover or build with
online co-op existence with no network improvements in a serious with notoriously shoddy netplay
with fromsoft narrative so it doesn't even have a progressive appeal like returnal or hades
I fucking despise how hard Fromsoft have sold out after hitting it big with elden ring.
It's just Jolly Cooperation without the resummon bullshit betwen bosses.
The roguelike side is kinda whatever.
What this guy said:
If the player has a weapon with a skill in their left hand, your suggestion doesn't work. It's bad enough when dashes don't go off when playing as Ironeye. But it's even worse when playing as a Recluse casting spells with the offhand staff instead of absorbing magic. I had to drop any weapon with a special ability from the left hand, or switch to fists.
in a series*
you ever just type something correctly but not actually check if it was the word you meant.
Game came out 2 days ago and I've played 15 hours, only killed 3 nightlords and 2 of them were just luck on god fr fr.
You can play a lot if you like it enough
I seriously think this was meant to be a mobile game to begin with but that was too much work for them so then they decided to make it a PC/console release. This one passive, one standard skill and one ultimate kit is exactly what gacha characters have.
I'm It's just a queue issue. It takes a moment to recognise that Triangle is being held but it doesn't check until after the current animation ends.
Annoying but easy to work around when you understand what is happening.
People don't know how to use Guardian, they see big shield and think, oh this guy's the paladin tank. Not realizing that he's meant to use polearms and deal DPS defensively using skills that benefit shield users like guard up, holy guard counters. Then stack that shit with walking spells like stars or frenzy and polearm attacks with your shield up then you've got yourself a deadly DPS tower.
I hate to be the guy to say "works on my machine" but I've literally never had a problem with it.
Expedition 33 thread died for this?
executor is broken simply due to his ultimate
If you are still stuck on the dog, you are simply fucking terrible at souls games
random into 3 Ironeye session
destroy Gladius easily
maybe Ironeye is OP
try beating Adel with him
fail for hours because I can never do enough damage and randos ain't doing shit either
switch to Revenant and first try Adel with Zamor Ice Storm
So is Ironeye good? Sure, he's safe, but it's just a war of attrition due to the bosses' gigantic health pools.
Ironeye is surely in the first or second tier.
decent, but more importantly, consistent damage. Doesn't have the issue melee does of having to spend 50+% of the final fight chasing after the boss and running away for close-range AOE attacks
has more time to react to many attacks
useful ult does good stagger and damage and (IIRC) can help revive
character skill is good for mobility, buffs damage on marked targets, and has a fuckton of i-frames
They made Sacred Relic GS even better

OOPS YOU LOST YOUR LEVELS
I guess you'll have to farm all of them back!
Oh, you don't have enough time or resources?
HAHA DARN
when are they adding orange justice and Peter Griffin?
that one where the fucker curses you and locks like 30-40% of your HP bar
HAHA GO CROSS THE ENTIRE MAP TO GET YOUR HEALTHBAR BACK, FAGGOT
OH, YOU ALREADY DID MOST OF THE SHIT THAT WAY? TOO FUCKING BAD, RETARD. NO PHASE FOR YOU!
You know what the worst part is? There's no fucking "restart" or "abandon" mission button anywhere. So you're just stuck wasting time to reset if your run gets fucked like that. From is so fucking gay.
this
dd2 has meta progression and is still a bad roguelike
This game would have probably made more money if they made it an f2p pvp fortnite clone.
basic classes as free skins
artorias, solaire, ornstein and other popular characters as battle pass exclusive skins
limited offer skins like soul calibur and tekken every now and then
maybe some japanese gacha cellphone characters and vtubers later
instead of bosses there are just mobs and treasurechests
your squad is regular colored
everyone else is red (toggleable if you want to larp as bad reds or aspie blues)
if a guy double dies you can pay levels or whatever expensive resource to respawn them in a camp fire
estus and other consumables are dropped by treasure chests on top of being restored in a camp fire
not a waste, you learn, get gems and some mud coins or whatever the fuck
Learn your cocktails retard. Recluse has the highest damage by far when played correctly and with the right gear
What exactly are you saying? Because from where I stand:
RNG screws you out of a huge portion of highly valuable time (even more so if the level loss anon's shit is to be taken at face value (not an event I've seen yet, but 2 of the 3 I've seen were shit)), all but dooming your run
forced to play it through to its inevitable conclusion anyway
rewards are the same as if you'd been able to abandon right then and there, assuming you've seen that Nightlord before
You would have gotten all that shit if you were able to fuck off as soon as RNG screwed your run. Instead, you just get your time wasted as your group waits for the bossing hour to kill themselves and go again. I really don't understand how you don't think this is a waste unless you're just fanboying.
Nta but how do you actually 'collect'. I couldn't ever use this spell.
Don't give up. I failed miserably 5 times but on my 6th attempt with randoms, one of them disconnected juat before the boss and we managed to beat it 2 players. The Archer class is op.
Ok she is really bad BUT
Consider this:
Y + LT. Get two different staffs with different elements in each hand and experiment until you find the cocktails you like the most.
my attacks barely tickle the boss
That's the gimmick for this whole game. Basically you deal 1 damage, and if you get lucky you might get to 3 damage. But at the end of the day its still entirely won/lost on your ability to read moves and dodge correctly. Everything else is pretty much dressing.
On the second boss whose weak to poison, all three of us had strong poison weapons going in. Got absolutely fucking bodied by him anyway once he got to the second stage. Second time I played I was archer and basically plinked away at his HP bar and dodged even when my team died with 1/3 of his HP left and won.
Thankfully hes pretty bad outside his ult

Which is funny considering they try to dress the game up as a roguelite. But in actuality, most of the shit you can find doesn't matter all that much. Even orange weapons don't feel like a huge upgrade. Terrible design if they truly wanted to make a Souls roguelite.
Yeah, I've gone in with +100% damage on two handing and sweet fuck all, felt identical.
I can see you've never beaten the bosses if you think gear doesn't matter kek
I got Rivers of Blood and it basically carried me. Corpse Plier is still insanely op. Huge FP cost but its not as big of an issue if you have a competent Recluse.

Why would I ever want to run a team without one in a fucking speedrun game?
these bosses are so fucking fun, i forgot fromsoft can create really good fights
Wylders grappling hook can be used on the ground to fling you across the arena if you jump while doing it and better yet it consumes no stamina so you can land into the boss with a full bar to do whatever you want with. Also a good tool to disengage and heal up or rez teammates. Why doesn't anyone know how good the grappling hook actually is?
Why don't people play Raider? I see a Revenant shitter in every expedition. I wish there was a Raider thrown in every once in a while.
Game is good for 25-30 hours of solid fun and then after you will play it more if you wanna try out different characters, get all of the achievements, unlock all the costumes, do all the remembrances, etc.
It is forty fucking dollars. Why is everyone acting so weird about it? The game isn't an $90 Switch 2 game. For 25-30 hours of fun co-op fun with your friends there are a lot worse ways to spend your money. I personally have multiple friend groups playing the game and so I am enjoying jumping between them and helping them learn the game, beat bosses, trying out new characters, etc.
I don't know. His skill wanting you to take damage is a bit offputting until you get used to being THICC
online co-op existence with no network improvements in a serious with notoriously shoddy netplay
Netplay is perfectly fine with me and my friends. One lives in Texas, one lives in Rhode Island, and I live in Georgia. Yeah we're not that far away but we have 0 connectivity issues, lag, ping problems, desyncs, etc.
Raider is a job that's less obvious than the frame he's given. Guardian is always seen as the "tank" job because it has a good shield, good VIG, and its power block, but stacking VIG, health regen, and phys res on the "Strength" job isn't where people logically go to. If people started making it clear that Raider's REAL strength is that it's the bulky blow trader/counterattacker job, it might get more popular.
Duchess is incredible. I beat the entire game and played her primarily. You just need to play with people who are using big damage ultimates or weapon arts. Restage does a ton of damage and has a low cooldown. It works great with bleed and frostbite procs too. Her dodge rolls are borderline OP to the point that playing any other class feels hard after. If you get just one upgrade to get extra iframes on dodge rolls she feels almost invincible.
Her ultimate is mostly used to go invisible to revive people during bosses.
You had my exact same loadout I used for Darkdrift except mine had Holy.

Magic is honestly just bad and needs a serious buff. Revenant FP management is a fucking joke. Recluse is too clunky to play because her skill sucks ass. Magic does too little damage and it is too difficult to get appropriate spells to fight bosses with their weaknesses when it is dead simple for melee classes. Chain staggering bosses through elemental weakness procs + jumping heavies is the name of the game. Duchess is S tier because she basically repeats every big proc. Wylder is good, but his ultimate has an insanely long CD but it is the best one in the game. Raider is just the best melee character, Bows are insanely strong with infinite ammo and a constant source of damage/status/elements when the bosses are flying away every 5 seconds.
Source: Someone who has actually beat the fucking game.
Recluse is impossible to play solo, my fucking god
Someone said she gets essences from your teammates attacks. They didn't even change it for single-player lel
Her ultimate is horrible solo.
Honestly I got bored after 10 hours. Maybe if I had friends I'd enjoy it more, but $55 for 10 hours isn't that great.
$55
The game is $40, you bought some premium edition DLC bullshit before the game was even out?
they can when they learn english but they use it improperly. i've heard some of them pronounce water like "watel" and call rice "lice"
Remember to do your Remembrance Quests. Odds are high you are literally not even playing the proper version of your class if you don't have their fancy Relics.
I don't know. That's the main thing I use it for during fights against large bosses. It and Ironeye's dash are two of the most versatile skills in the game, at least as far as my current understanding goes.
I'm not American.
Oh, that sucks about the pricing then.
Wylder (best ultimate in the game)
How do you get this to consistently put enemies into crit attack state? I swear I'm hitting enemies with a charged ult, and they don't get knocked down.
Black Claw Necklace isn't even something I'd necessarily run since it's fairly useless against any non-add boss besides the poise. Cord is fantastic though.
It just does a ton of poise damage and always staggers them. It won't necessarily knock them down, but if you do it after it has been wailed on a bit, or it gets wailed on a bit after, it will go down. It makes you invincible and will interrupt most boss attacks which is what makes it so good. It also does decent fire damage and leaves fire on the ground if you have the relic.
It is just the best straight up ulti in the game that is good in basically every scenario no matter what.
Theres several glaring issues with her
animations take forever
because of animation queueing you’ll triple cast
if you run out of mana oops, she’s gonna spend 5 million milliseconds doing the silly “I’m out of mana anon” animation which is a death sentence
majority of spells you’re given are unironic plinkers
your power up requires you splitting off from your physical attack majority group which means you’ll get fucking killed, in solo it’s even worse
cocktail heavily reliant on coop
The ult is great for surviving nukes but other than that it’s just a nice wee bonus
Even $40 is too much for this asset flip trash. It should have been $15 DLC for Elden Ring.
team sinergy is important for damage in this game. Ergo, having either the archer or Duchess in your team will help you tremendously Archer with a full posture build has been the most consistent wins for me
Honestly I misread and thought we were talking about Duchess.
But yeah you're not wrong.
It just does a ton of poise damage and always staggers them. It won't necessarily knock them down, but if you do it after it has been wailed on a bit, or it gets wailed on a bit after, it will go down
Thought it might be something like that. Guess I was just accidentally doing it right the first day when I kept getting KOs with it. Then yesterday and today was much more hit-or-miss. Cheers
Beyond the poise buff, it also makes it so the art isn't useless against packs and it feeds itself off of packs you're killing near it. Just generally rewarding you more for its usage in the field, and I can't think of anything else I'd slot in its place unless it was genuinely astonishingly good.
Archer with a full posture build
What goes into this?
I mean 40 mutt dollars isn't great if you're a solo (queue) player either. Nightreign is missing a lot of features that make it a good rando game like say Helldivers. I'd say it's one of the rare games that's actually only good with friends unless you're a Souls autist.
The ring closes too fast. I’ve beaten the final boss so there’s nothing to cope about, but the pace of the game means one bad fight and you might as well restart because there is simply no time to make a comeback. Even stopping to check boxes for consumables is throwing the game because doing that twice takes the same amount of time to insta kill a demi human queen on the way to the final ring. When you get a team that knows what’s up and you get good rng with weapon elements the final bosses feel pretty reasonable, but you play with randoms that are playing well enough but aren’t following you on your no fun min maxed path it’s pretty much over. The rogue like elements are probably some of the worst in the genre too. Tiny stat bumps and useless shit like a next to no damage spell effect if you slow walk. They didn’t even try. Fun but half baked
I definitely am talking about it in the context of playing with friends. Solos is horrible and it is inexcusable that they don't even have a basic chat wheel or more specific pings/map marking.
I put her at the bottom of the list to bait people desu :^)
I have no idea what the actual balance is in the game, only played for like 8 hours lul
didn’t beat it solo with recluse
You didn’t beat the game
just pick posture passives and heavy attack relatively close to the boss, this, as of right now, is broken as fuck, bonus if yout get anything that lowers aggro on you, your ultimate also seems to deal a fuckton of posture and always staggers bosses, so ultimate cooldown is also sick as fuck
For me it's how the game has zero balancing for solo whatsoever. Feels like you're always playing with a severe handicap so even if its doable it kinda feels awful.
trying out melee iron eye
It gets fucking crazy if you get a good dex/arcane weapon and a good opening. Iron eye isn’t just an archer class, he is the rogue, not duchess.
and happen to have at least one competent friend
Haha... yeah...
Ironeye and Duchess are both stupid strong. Duchess can mash dodge on every boss attack and Ironeye just marks, staggers bosses, and doesn't afraid of anything. My main squad is regularly Ironeye/Duchess/Wylder and we rape face.
Yeah, another couple minutes per phase would go a long way to making the game feel significantly better to play. Current pacing is some turbo-sweatfest where you can't even check loot. Like you said, I'm not even stopping to check boxes 99% of the time since that time is better invested elsewhere.
The rogue like elements are probably some of the worst in the genre too. Tiny stat bumps and useless shit like a next to no damage spell effect if you slow walk.
Was saying almost the exact same thing earlier. The worst part of this is that it's super fucking obvious after two runs that they phoned this shit in with zero thought. Yet they shipped it anyway. Absolutely baffling.
You mean the deal more guard break stuff or something else?
troony
Ring closes too fast
There’s literally zero exploration desu, I wish they’d make this the “hardcore” version of the game and we got a slower more relaxed game instead. It literally needs to take one or two chill pills, I’m running and hitting POIs like a crackhead which doesn’t end well when the payoff is getting fucked up by a retarded boss fight and a bunch of dogshit NPC teammates
Oh. I don't think I've seen much in the way of bonus stagger/poise breaking. Just guard breaking comes to mind immediately. I'll keep an eye out though. Can't wait to find more flashing lights while walking, bonus dick at low HP, magic damage, and 6% extra attack power
The specific strategy in the game is snowballing, which most randoms really need to start understanding the value of. I agree that a lot of the random buffs don't do enough, but every inch towards another rapid kill of a boss or just instakilling field mobs when you're 3 damage short is a second you can use to build up to haymaker those more intense bosses on day 2. Every game I've played where the randoms(or I) signal to just hammer out all of the early weak camps on day 1 has been level 12-13 consistently without any issues and 50/50 on if we kill the nightlord. Every game I've played where people run after Bell-Bearing Hunter or a Dragon day 1 is a dead run where we might as well have quit almost instantly. The highest I've ever gotten was level 15 in a run where we had pushed that fuckhuge castle and killed every single boss in it, but again, we only did that on day 2 after ramping up like mad day 1.
>dude what if centaur that sprints around the map spamming AOE attacks and never stops long enough for you to catch up and hit more than once or twice
Solution. Play Guardian.
The problem is that I do want the game to be a bit slower and have a few more minutes per cycle or whatever, but the game is also kinda easy already. If you have 3 people who are just halfway decent then your odds of killing the boss are very high. I'd say 3/8 of the night lords we beat on our first try. Most others were 2-3 tries. Final boss was just 2 tries (and we almost beat him the first time).
Good luck!"
Imaginary scenarios that never happen in any fucking video game dreamt up by utterly deranged retards who don't speak to people
*unsubs*
I’m enjoying ironeye (pretty much who I always play because man it’s so fun zipping around with his dash tech and marking shit) with raider and recluse. Ironeye for consistent chip when the boss runs all over the place and huge burst with bleed melee weapons and the marks crazy burst and stagger. raider for even more stagger, huge damage and an incredible ult for bosses, him being tanky means even if something goes wrong you can be sure he’s still standing. And recluse is easily the highest damage character in the game but these a bit more rng for them, with a very nice ult that lets the raider and ironeye go full unga bunga which can lead to chain staggers. And no one is fighting over loot as well
It's the ultimate streamer game where they run around like headless chickens and do the favorite thing of all normie shit in a rolllop: go go go go bossrush www leggo
There is nothing to do there alone, the game is stupidly unbalanced for solo, all the mobs and bosses are as fat as the mother of the developer of this shit.
The archer is the most OP class in a Fromsoft game
I wish I've had that consistent success. I feel like most of the time I fight a Nightlord, I'm stuck running around the map back and forth for eons as it chases after ranged players while I want to hit it with my sword. Then we inevitably lose to low damage output and resource drain. I genuinely don't know how to outskill this beyond memorizing boss movesets and never needing to heal as I solo the monster once the other two are dead.
I really hope white woman egirls put on blackface for this cosplay, I would stroke it til I experience Final Death
DLC boss rush mode made into a separate game
OK?
Another big problem with how fast the ring closes is that it makes many bosses instant ignores, if I see a bell hunter or a gargoyle i’m heading somewhere else because if you take that fight you’ve just pissed two levels and extra loot away. The pace of the game means you actively ignore any potential challenges because two or three easy mode areas is worth far more than a tough boss and takes the same amount of time. Very fun game but it needs some work and I hope they actually update things
This game should've been a chalice dungeon crawler. The death ring forces really linear routing and it feels like they spent a lot of time designing a map that overall kind of sucks. Also it has like 3 slight variations, it's not even close to procedurally generated.
You need all 3 people to have the boss weakness. That alone makes them much, much easier. They all can get semi-chain staggered by that. A few of the bosses are kind of exceptions. The centaur guy is so fast in his second phase it is hard to chain him, BUT if you hit him with lightning when he is charging he can get staggered, same when he is charging up (yeah I know, confusing wording) his AoE.
The main problem is when someone goes down more than twice early. That feels like a wipe. When someone is at 3 bars to revive it feels nearly impossible to get them up without one of the ultimates that instant-revives or the boss is doing a phase transition and the two others can just hit the downed player. You need all 3 people to survive for at least most of the fight. Two players can finish off the last ~20% of the life bar, but if you're doing 2 players when they're at like 60% it is just over.
Raider is probably the best, but ironeye is very strong. Not because of bows though, just the marking ability and the passive. The damage on your bow is pretty shit but when the mark pops it makes up for it. And there’s nothing forcing you to use a bow
They're such a fucking hassle though
Now if they don't know what they're doing, they're not putting pins down, they're just following you or the other player, then yes, YOU act as the leader and put pins down.
You can still put down your pin. It's just if anyone else puts down a sensible pin too, you should double-pin it and accompany them. But if you leave your pin on the map, chances are one or both of them will double-pin your pin after you're done with the current pin.
Having multiple pins on the map is good because it prepares the other players for a "direction" so to speak. That way some semblance of improvised coordination can be achieved instead of everyone just placing pins randomly, or worse yet just running all over the map.

posture break passives cause the boss to break more often allowing a critical to be performed on the boss, this is the best way to deal damage now that bosses don't have iframes on riposte
i forgot to mention, Periodic glintblades and walking rancors are insane as well, because you can imput walk before drawing your bow and the whole time you're shooting its spamming rancor
Ironeye's basic skill is so fucking good you can play pretty much anything you like and he'd be good, bows provide much better utility most of the time
I’m find the centaur guy to be the hardest boss by far, way harder than the final one. He’s just so spastic and aoe happy with very strange tells
I think he is probably the hardest boss, yeah.
???
There is pretty much no attacks you can't block with the guardian if you've got a good shield and you actually enter your not!dodge block stance.
Is the boss charging up some mega huge fuck you attack? Raise your shield and block. The Guardian is fucking nuts.
Well put, none of my friends or randoms have done ANY of the world bosses, these were fucking high tier pain in the ass bosses that basically one tap you or just take forever to fight
magma wyrm
dragon
death rite bird (literally just walk away at this point)
fugly tree worm cancer thing
The game really fails telegraphing the risk/reward aspect desu, I’m pretty sure these are guaranteed purple drops at the very least
Then stack that shit with walking spells like stars or frenzy
Aren't those super rare? Or are there bosses that have a higher chance of giving them to you?
playing with katana man
Why are they always so fucking useless, put your shitty parry sword away and hit the fucking boss with something useful
these bosses are for when you have a really good day 1, me and my mates melted the fuck out of the magma wyrm and got 2 gold weapons
They’re exceedingly common lmao, they show up for casters a lot
You need all 3 people to have the boss weakness. That alone makes them much, much easier. They all can get semi-chain staggered by that.
mfw I was constantly going for boss weakness days 1 and 2 and noticing no effect
Fuck. I'll go back to that then. I gave up and swapped to prioritizing status weapons early today because it didn't seem like it was achieving much, if anything.
When someone is at 3 bars to revive it feels nearly impossible to get them up without one of the ultimates that instant-revives or the boss is doing a phase transition and the two others can just hit the downed player.
Yeah, it's brutal. The boss will turn to go for you when you've gotten them down to 1/2 or 1/3 remaining, and they're full up by the time the third person runs back over.
Centaur is fucking turbo aids. He's definitely the worst offender of "fuck off to sprint around the map"
My tries so far have been
2 on dog
1 on gravity gaping
3 on bugs
3 on augur
1 on centaur
I carried on all except the centaur where we all helped each other out and the revanent saved the guardian and I with her ult.
Both of his skills are fucking useless. His ultimate is only good for a heal and for bullying low tier bosses in day 1
711238947
Nu-søy effortposting brimstone niggers are just as cringe if not moreso than the Reddit threads that sharted them out onto their own dead irrelevant website
I like the game but why is it so lazy? Only 'limgrave' is insane when you could easily turn altus plateu and SOTE zones into a map.
The classes are fun and the combat and loop is fun absolutely.. and it scratches that itch of wanting to do a rerun to play with a certain weapon surprisingly well, I think getting legendaries should be more reliable though besides the events.
They also unironically didnt reuse enough assets. Between ds1-3 and elden ring and SOTE they should have had way more variety. The open world bosses are the same with minor AI tweaks and stat buffs anyway
One person with the boss weakeness won't be able to do much. Two people if they're good can get some procs. All three with decent elemental weapons/spells will make the boss MUCH easier. Many of them get unique debuffs, staggers, and extra damage windows when you proc the elemental staggers and they're really not hard to do with 3 people.
Will try this out tomorrow. Cheers, big ears.
Fairly sure that's the actual appearance of the Nightlord and what we fought was just a projection of some sort
I feel like they held a lot back for updates/DLC honestly. Kind of scummy, but I bet within 3-4 months we'll get an entire new map with 3-4 new bosses and 1-2 new shifting earth events.
I'll get my friends on again and bully them into forcing weakness builds. I think most/every game we've played together, at least one person didn't find a weapon they wanted with the boss weakness. The Nightlords have been such fucking slogs so far.
So frustrating when you’ve got a good run but then get to the night lord and suddenly realise the executor is doing next to nothing because they’re trying to farm parries
How the fuck do I even get poison damage though?
Honestly the worst part about executor is when he goes beast mode and just staggers the boss forever. Can't get my R2s or skills off reliably so I just pop a healing stone and sit back while he has fun being a boss for 15 seconds.
Check map for encampments that drop poison shit
Retarded question. But do character-skill damage scale with the equipped weapon strength?
I wish they added proper "classes" to their singleplayer games. I've wanted a game with proper classes for so long, not the souls shit of making your """"build"""" which is just raising a bunch of numbers and it means fucking nothing. Proper classes with their own weapons and gear to use and special moves and such is what they need to spice up the souls formula in their normal games. Imagine picking a Warrior and you actually play as a fucking warrior for the entire game and then you can replay it as something else and have a totally new experience instead of just making a "Warrior" with nuke magic spells and heavy armor and a greatshield because you allocated numbers into magic usage because fromsoft. Nightreign actually does that which is awesome. Not to the same level of detail that I want it to be, but it's an improvement over the jack of all trades bullshit.
I think most/every game we've played together, at least one person didn't find a weapon they wanted with the boss weakness.
You honestly just kind of have to deal with it. Like yeah, as Wylder you WANT greatswords but any strength/quality weapon will do. Yeah, you WANT daggers as Duchess but any dex weapon will do. Your main goal should be hitting up churches, camps, and then going to ruins that have the appropriate element for the boss. Then if you find decent weapons you go to a mine to get a purple upgrade material to make it purple. A purple weapon appropriate for the class with the right weakness will do wonders.
You just get any weapon with the poison status from one of the ruins marked with poison. If none spawned then you still gotta hit up camps and even check the vendor. Sometimes they sell the shit you need. Buy and upgrade with materials from the mine.
100% this and Duskbloods are their gateway to introducing a skill tree to the next real game.
No, skill damage and ultimate damage is based on character level
Like yeah, as Wylder you WANT greatswords but any strength/quality weapon will do
I'm happy to go for other strength weapons. But when I go into the encampment and don't even find a fucking one-handed sword with the proper element BECAUSE 80% OF THE SHIT THAT DROPPED DIDN'T HAVE THE BOSS WEAKNESS DESPITE THAT BEING WHAT THE FUCKING CAMP WAS FOR, I end up with a bleed weapon or whatever the best 2H I could find was.
The crimsonwhirl bubbletear is a waste of runes. That shit does NOT work, I popped that right before getting hit and it didn't absorb shit.
Every time I see them ult the night lord they just get their ass kicked
I could've sworn it worked earlier. It gave me the same effect on my character as the
successive attacks provide damage negation
That bubble thing. And then when I got hit, I only took like 10% damage, same as the normal damage negation effect. Maybe I got that visual effect and then activated the normal damage negation effect properly though, so I just mistook it for functioning.
When you get Moonveil on Duchess
The more I play the more I think the time limit undermines the shifting earth events. I most of the bosses and sprint to the goal. I wish the game focused more on randomized legacy dungeons.
Am I just absolutely worthless at navigation, or does the north mine not have a tier2 smithing stone?
With the the south mine you can just run in and punk the giant in the middle under less than a minute.
Executor is just a weird class all around and honestly it should've just been based around Sir Alonne instead of being this gimmick bloodborne sekiro dies twice thingy.
I just looked it up and...
it doesn't work on physical attacks...
So I guess that explains it.
It is the soldier walking around on the wooden bridge on the floor after the first jump up. He is one of the "Royal" Soldiers. Another one of the mines it is a Pumpkin head.
it's fine.
They also unironically didnt reuse enough assets. Between ds1-3 and elden ring and SOTE they should have had way more variety.
Literally my biggest complaint. This game could be slop city and have every random useless enemy from DS1-3 AND Elden Ring in it. I would absolutely not mind going into a field ruin and beating up an Asylum Demon or being invaded by a Pursuer or having a castle with a bunch of Lothric Knights defending it and one of those Winged Knights as a boss. I've seen the same pool of enemies too many times, and I should be seeing more variety. If this game winds up with content patches where they just slide more assets in, it could sustain itself pretty well, but right now there's not enough slop in my trough to feel full and satisfied.
The North mine’s boss is the pumpkin head nigger, you’re talking about the one with two springs right?
This game needs a chillaxed mode I swear, I’ve been sprinting all over the place non stop
Reminder to beat the game before the big nerf patch that is incoming or you didn't really beat it.
Don't think they'll nerd anything since most hardcore players beat all bosses already. All I want is a better solo experience
(You) haven’t beat the game with Recluse yet.
Doggo is 100% getting nerfed, reddit is full of people saying it has taken them 15+ hours and they have still not beaten it.
Okay am I missing something with Gnoster?
huge ass armored lobster fucker
dainty ass moth
shared healthbar
think I get it, the lobster is armored so you do crap damage you have to hit the moth which does big damage but he's hard to hit
hitting the lobster does negligible damage as expected
try the moth
also does negligible damage
no clue what the fire weakness actually does, with the doggy and mouth dragon it was obvious after you proc it once.
This feels like fighting yhorm with your fists who thought this was a good idea?
the game is already dead lol, if you didn't cancel pre order or refund, you're retarded
Just bring poison and rot and apply them to the big bug
Fire weakness works on the moth just by hitting it. Only works on the moth.
In phase 2 they merge and it becomes a lightshow laser spam. Just hit the beetle when it's not hardened and watch for the moth.
Between Nightrein and Duskbloods, I'm really skeptical of FromSoft's ability to maintain live servicey games. Nightreign could be great after 6-12 months of updates. At this point, I think voicechat will hurt the game's longevity, because players actually playing like a team will blow through all the content. The game needs build variety first and foremost.
try to run towards one of the churches alongside the rest of the group
first time playing with the shifting earth volcanic crater thing
I jump down the cliff thinking I could just climb up to the church like usual, not realizing that I jumped down the volcanic crater
there is no way up from the crater without having to circle all the way back in the complete opposite direction
got separated from my party for the rest of the run and I missed out on all the exp and since I had to spend my time trying to escape the crater I wasn't even able to get any exp solo style
and since I was significantly under levelled for the crater, staying and fighting wasn't a good idea anyway
What the fuck bros...
It also needs more and more expensive costumes.
She is OP as fuck, as soon as you find fire and faith spells you can literally spam the strongest spell in the entire game that does the following:
Massive frontal AoE that staggers all smaller enemies
Deals MASSIVE stagger damage
Continuous stream of fire that deals MASSIVE damage
Heal any player that stands in the fire
Puts a defensive buff of any player standing in the fire
The concoction flamethrower spell is so broken OP that it's not even funny and even if you don't know how to use the elemental system you can literally just spam the concoction ability and have infinite FP at all times as long as there are enough enemies/players around. The only negative about it is that all of her spells are elemental which means that you need above 80IQ to figure out what enemies are resistant to which element, if the enemy throws fire or magic at you the chances are that they are resistant to the same element that they are attacking with.
It's only better than normal ER if you're an ADHD zoomer.
What disappoints me is seeing that Fromsoft can in fact make things with unique abilities after all but they'll never be in a real game.
Wait. The dumb jellyfishes are pretty much guaranteed to drop the jellyfish shield if you kill all of them?
That's a fucking game changer. That shield is great.
The crater takes a long time to go through. Ideally you can only do one place outside of the crater at the start of the day before jumping into it from the church side and then killing the gargoyle and beetle. Then you go deep down into the fire monk’s den, kill them (it’s worth killing the prelates on the way since they drop orbs and I’ve gotten starscourge swords from them once) and then kill the magma wyrm. The lift at the very bottom takes you back up to the very top.
It is impossible to get what concoction you want when your allies are all spamming attacks on the boss.
Pretty easy to get with ironeye on the team as well since he increases the chance enemies drop loot
Bosses always end up getting gutted in some patch, I would be incredibly shocked if there were no nerfs.
This
The best playstyle is NOT spell spammer - use your spells to apply the tags to craft a cocktail SPECIFICALLY!
Don't just opportunisticly use them.
Example: you want the fire breath, so you use a magic damage spell (then succ) , then fire (then succ) , then holy (then succ). Yes your teammates can mess this up but frankly its not that hard to play around them anyway.
THE COCKTAIL DOESN'T HAVE A FUCKING COOLDOWN, YOU BETTER SPAM THAT SHIT.
Did they make Centipede demon a good fight in this?
Having fun, cleared 5 nightlords so far. The worst part so far is just how insignificant my upgrades feel. Like I’ll get a legendary weapon, Godrick’s Axe, with Raider who should be able to use it right, alongside many other buffs, and its definitely noticeable in night 1 and day 2, and then night 2 it starts dropping off some but I still see that yellow bar for hp chipped off the boss, but the nightlord has so much health and the fight lasts a while. You REALLY get to know its moveset, too. They don’t have a lot of moves, Dancing Lion from SOTE has more moves than two of these nightlords combined, it’s just a big endurance test.
Where do you clone equipment?
I have no clue why birdman is so fucking bad, he is tanky towards the end of the match but not nearly tanky enough to make up for his absolutely abysmal damage. In a game that is literally just "GOGOGO!" all the time his damage is actively detrimental to the quality of the match.
I'd argue that they need to do at least one of the following to "fix" him into being useful:
Buff his guard counter damage
Make his glaive/spear attack animations faster
Make "draw aggro while holding block" stronger and baseline to his passive skill along with adding some sort of graphical effect that shows that he is doing it
Remove the constant stamina drain from his shield stance and buff the amount of guardboost you gain from doing it along with adding a "super guard counter" with a unique wider and faster animation that deals double the damage or poise damage when preformed out of his shield stance
Buff his "whirlwind" ability by making the AoE larger and poise damage stronger or by making it deal more damage
So is it highly replayable
not really. everyone does the exact same paths every game depending on drop. depending on your character you'll prob see most of the same drops. there's very little variety in paths because bosses are extremely beefy to any damage but their weakness so the game tunnels you in a direction in it's "open" map i.e. illusion of choice. You'll fight the same 2-5 enemy types all game and occasion you might have a little boss variety but nothing that is going to exert any sort of joy. more along the lines of "sweet i get to fight gargoyle/deathbird/gaping dragon again." random "events" equate to some bosses just idling around in a field. most the classes are so utterly dull or gimped that there's no real reason to even engage with them.
it's a 4/10. duo queue/comms won't fix the many issues this game has.
It's exactly the same plus like, one new attack.
literally the only class in the game with nothing but good skills. you are, quite literally, just really bad at the game it would seem.
I am trying very hard to like this game and I hate it the more I play it. FROM missed with this, it is beyond low effort. This could have been insanely well done. Lots of maps, lots of bosses, NEW music. Did I mention most of the music is shit from regular Elden Ring? Like the standard boss music is the same shit Ive heard for 300+ hours. At least DS2 had all new content even if it was rehased it still was a new game with new areas and shit. This isn't even a full asset flip its like they flipped 25% of ERs assets and said alright ship it
But Centipede demon is a terrible fight even by DaS pacing. How could it even hope to function at all in a fast pace Elden Ring game?
you have to go out of your way to get her dedicated stuff JUST to get her on par with everyone else. she's also not even the best caster, duchess is. recluse is easily worst in the game.
other than the night lords most bosses are extremely easy as long as you have semi competent teammates who grasp aggro trading
I have not had a single successful Libra match with randoms.
I'm starting to think this would be easier solo.
Why are people so absolutely fucking trash at decision making in this game? Like they might be fine at actually fighting things, but as soon as it comes to where to go on the map and what is worth doing vs what isn't with the time we have left, people just go completely fucking retarded
I've just started ignoring people pinging red field bosses on day 1 and let them die by themselves; even if we won the fight without dying (unlikely) it would still take up SO MUCH time of the day that it wouldn't be worth the rewards of doing it compared to just running like 3+ random locations
and people keep marking churches ACROSS THE ENTIRE MAP and then sprinting to it whilst ignoring everything on the way, they usually end up weak as fuck because they have no levels....OH BUT THEY HAVE 1 EXTRA HEAL THOUGH! TOTALLY WORTH IT!
is this just an example of people not being used to roguelites that have timing-based events?
Duchess is F is utterly retarded
Even if you just sit back and spam your two charges of restage on cooldown the damage amp is good enough to make you A tier.
The ult is not that good though but you can res one whilst dropping aggro if you need to.
get cd relics and focus on hp + stam.
Birdboy is a support character, unlike Raider who is an actual tank, your job boils down to reviving people and vaccuming ads and humanoid bosses with your tornado shit, bonus, Charged counter attacks with halberds do a metric fuckton of posture, focus on that if you can land them
I was watching my friend play. Morgott for example looked sped up with some minor changes to his attacks and seemed a lot more agressive.
I can't imagine Centipede demon moving like an elden ring boss without massive animation changes.
The thing is basically a glorified Dragon Ass.
My biggest problem with the bird guy is that nobody uses the reaver because of him. The melee attack is also awkward when trying to revive teammates.
It's even worse solo since you pretty much can't stop him from buffing up unless you get lucky and find vyke's war spear that lets you exploit his weakness to madness
im not saying this game isn't doable with 3 competent comm'd people but this and erdtree and making me think that From just stopped balancing and are just user generating data to balance off of.
I'm going to attempt it anyways
pick my character
Actual tier list
Randos:
s
Ironeye, Rev
a
Wylder, Duchess
b
Raider
c
Executor, Bird
d
Recluse
Premade:
s
Duchess, Ironeye
a
Raider, Executor
b
Wylder, Recluse, Rev
Double Rev on solo is actually really fucking good if your third guy isn't a complete retard
Recluse shits out massive AoEs that both staggerlock and deals massive damage every 4 sec
Ironeye is really good at reviving safely and as long as you manage to get Dex+ and Range damage up relics he starts shitting out as much damage as Wilder but at a safe distance
Duchess Restage is literally just "Oh I just did 2k damage... BITE DE DUSTO!" as soon as you get her unique remembrance relic her damage literally just doubles
Raider is middling at first but if you get 5+ or more poise from any source you can tank just as well as Guardian while shitting out massive damage by just spamming strong attacks with any massive weapon
Revenant breaks the game DPS wise if you just buff her starting weapon with extra magic damage and upgrade it to purple
Executor just wins the game if you find any fast bleed weapon and know how to use his Sekiro stance
Wilder is the only other character that isn't that great but his strengths comes from being able to use almost any melee weapon to its full effect since he scale really well with both DEX and STR
Wylder
I don't find any of the Nightlords fun to fight. They're all just tanky AoE spamming fags. It's like an MMO.
Recluse is ass.
Ironeye heavies actually scale better than anything Wylder does
not to mention there's air ones. hope the game decides to give you a range weapon! the auger just being a more tedious spirit beast is an actual from troll.
I'm unimpressed with the Dark Souls bosses. They're mediocre, which is made worse by being end of day bosses. Who's even thinking, "I'm so glad I get to fight Gaping Dragon again!"? He doesn't even do anything for 90% of the fight.
I agree but how else are they meant to make it """Balanced""" for three people all wailing on it? If it didnt have these things people would complain the game is too easy.
some people just like getting gaped, you know?
Spam flamethrower concoction
???
WIN
It heals, buffs, staggers and deals 500 damage PER TICK in and AoE that is as larger than guardians ult. literally just find any source of faith/fire and you win.
Stop wasting your time on day 2, i've seen most randos just meander about and do low camps all the way, at the end of day 2 you should have 2 purple main wepons and 2 support blues for offhand + 2 talismans and maybe an orange
GO DO HARDER CONTENT ONCE YOU'RE LEVELED FFS THE CASTLE AT THE CENTER OF THE MAP HAS A GUARANTEED TALISMAN CHEST THAT WILL HELP A TON
People like to rip on Demon's Souls bosses but Dark Souls bosses are even worse.
There's Day 1 bosses and Day 2 bosses. Day 1 bosses are meant to be easy, Centipede Demon is a Day 1 boss, so yes, you're correct. He's a free kill for a group with more than 30 IQ between them.
I laughed so hard when I saw him come out of the mist. It's such whiplash to have a boss like Gaping Dragon and then have enemies like Grafted Scions in the same game.
tail cut is a guaranteed weapon, so while it's a mediocre fight it kind of has a sub objective I enjoy doing
It's even worse solo since you pretty much can't stop him from buffing up
When he meditates, break the 3 sigils floating in the air around him by dashing/rolling through them. It breaks his barrier for free.
Sad, I was hoping for his redemption arc. I used to fantasize about a remastered Dark Souls with an actually completed Izailith.
overworld looks weird without the giant tree in the background
nah bro she's garbo
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS ITS THAT EASY
Gaping Dragon was a joke even in DaS. He was clearly designed to scare new players with that mouth but without the brains to use it he's more bark than bite.
I always thought that he looks goofy as shit, his tiny little snake head above that massive maw makes him look ugly-cute, like a pug.
The idea is at any moment he could slam down and maw you to death. But he prefers to do that when you aren't under him for some reason.
People like to rip on Demon's Souls
For good reason. Demon's Souls remake was just illustrated how primitive the bosses are in comparison to current FromSoft. DeS, DaS, and DaS2 bosses can't keep up in Elden Ring. Nightreign's new mechanics make them even bigger jokes.
Maybe Nameless King will be better, but I'm currently not basedfacing over the nostalgiabait.
What I'm unimpressed with is by how players I'm encountering in matchmaking are so fucking bad that they are dying to these bosses that I solo'd 15 years ago
I even tested this out by not reviving them to see if the boss was that much hard and then soloing the boss easily; who the fuck dies to the fucking CENTIPEDE DEMON?!
fuck man finna main recluse because i jerked it to her like 50 times already
Trying to solo as guardian is hell.
Nightlord bosses are so fucking unfun.
Yeah, I just had a 2 Recluse 1 Duchess run that ruined EVERYTHING.
We ran out of shit to do and anything else was just too far to bother.
What does this have to do with the boss designs being boring?
I feel like you could make a tier list of what enemies to avoid because a lot of them just waste so much time running away from you or spamming charge attacks where you can't engage them. If I see a Magma Wyrm, I'm not fucking bothering with that.
bosses are not as "tanky" as you believe
They are in coop. I just play solo now.
I was Raider at level 14 with some defense buffs against the Centaur and he still could two shot me. We still won but fuck he hits hard.
Is there a reliable way of finding a weapon that has the boss's weakness? I've gone to areas marked with that element and don't get anything with it.
Go to the marked areas and get better luck.
I genuinely can't believe they have areas specifically to give you proper weapons for the boss only to often have most of the shit drop there not be that element/status.
Sometimes it's only the Waeapon Art and some of those just suck dick.
Is crater the only good shifting earth event? The rest just have meme shit like “ohhh you can… get more damage if someone procs frost” or “here’s runes bro”
modders are going to go nuts with this game, right? after what they've done with base ER
always pick all bosses
have no idea what the boss will be until I get there
I should stop doing this really.
Savor the risk.
Variety and mystery are what make life worth living.
Roguelikes are about making do with what you get - not always having the optimal build.
Gaping dragon was designed around two big attacks that nobody except the most braindead of retards will get hit by, speaking of which the npc summons there have massively inflated HP and defense for that reason.
Scroll trough multiple pages of shitty porn.
Finally find a proper actual video game thread.
It's just about some boring ass FOTM nigger slop game.
I wanna punch whoever is responsible for this in the face.
I said I should, not that I would.
It is annoying when I keep running into the same boss time after time. I guess people really can't handle ze bugz.
The map shows which day 3 boss you'll fight.
Check the corner of the map.-
I think people are just surprised that the game feels kinda cheap
Like SOTE was also $40
the last thing i want to hear when im playing a game is some nasal nerd taking me out of the game completley
text chat should be there though
how do I start the revenant remberance quest?
>Finally find a proper actual video game thread.
Here , , .
enjoy ya erudenringo:NTR, pajeet
superficially its the same but you're on the clock, your teammates are NOT optional and the vibe is much more about sweating it out and performing well.
in vanilla elden ring, you have plenty of time to drop carvings and emote to do funny attempts at communication.
in nightreign you need to get your team to haul ass immediately and with detailed instructions or you lose
The biggest problem the game has imo is that the exploration of the map has the exact same strategies and loops on each boss.
The first 3 Nightlords took me 5 hours to beat but the last 5 took 4 and a half because at some point you just become so good at doing the loop that you explode in levels.
It would be nice if the game changed it up a bit in the later levels so that you have to relearn it and form brand new strategies.
Figures. I guess it's not supposed to be so reliable.
it wouldve been fine if it was free, basically a thank you game that you can optionally spend money on. instead they charged 40 frickin dollaridoos for something they spent no time, money or brain power on. i think theyre going to lose a lot of goodwill for having released the game like this
do I get the passive bonus from all items in my inventory or just the equipped ones?
All of them
6 runs down and this has been my expierence (plus one mid-fight disconnect) every time, except Ixve never managed to break level 11.
Game is fucking miserable.
Does that random insta-kill on enemies activate appreciably often or is it just going to be once per run on some random dog?
Yea unless the weapon has a red hand icon which means you must be wielding it to get the passive benefit
If they have a little hand icon on the buff you have to have it equipped if not you don't
On that note, is there any place where exact percentages of things are detailed yet?
Hmm? Yeah you putting cocks in your ass is sad.
Nah you just sound trans. She's literally the strongest character in the game. Kill yourself.
So far in terms of fun for me it's
Unga bunga > sorc > weeb > dead girl > archer > duch > wylder >>>>>> bird
I'm not touching guardian if they don't fix his dodge.
You do know there's a catalog, right? But seeing tourists seethe at their own incompetency is funny, so keep at it.
Someone said a full inventory makes the weapon effects stronger. But it doesn't seem to be true.
Everyone I play with in the game is a master ragebaiter desu
nobody knows how to aggro or even manage it
nobody knows anything about teamwork
or picking people up
I’m in fucking hell, where the fuck did these literal lobotomites come from
Fairly sure guardian intentionally has shit dodging to incentivize using his guard stance
It’s not the full inventory that makes it strong you doofus it’s the buffs you pick up
two armaments equipped +15%
dmg resist
stronger jumping attacks
stronger guard breaks
And so on
On top of what everyone else said, you can put equip passives in your offhand slot and twohand your actual weapon and you'll still get the offhand's equipped passive.
Me when I'm looking for Holy weapons and camps only yield Lightning.
Ironeye is really good at reviving safely and as long as you manage to get Dex+ and Range damage up relics he starts shitting out as much damage as Wilder but at a safe distance
Bullshit you haven't even checked this. Dex gives about 1% damage per point of Dex, it's fucking nothing. Ranged damage up is +5% but you're about 100% behind. Bow damage never competes with melee, it's consistently mid output which is usually only worthwhile if you're not good at staying alive and dealing damage in melee
Then I'm not picking him. Simple as.
I got to 1 hour and 55 minutes before realizing that I hadn’t had any fun and that this game wasn’t for me. My previous run had been so shitty and unsatisfying that I was just like “fuck it”, and refunded after realizing that I was almost at two hours. Did you make it to a nightlord in that hour? If you did, you should probably have a good idea if it’s for you or not.
Someone said the actual buffs become stronger. Like 15% to 20% or whatever the fuck.
But that was bullshit.
See Death Rite Bird
Know from experience in Elden Ring that you don't fuck with these things
Pass on by
Teammate engages it
Five seconds later they're downed
Don't even turn around to try and save him because I know he'll just get back up and try again, and I don't want to down myself
I wonder how many people playing this game are seeing Elden Ring enemies and bosses for the first time.
Magic is honestly just bad and needs a serious buff
Magic is good at the only part of the game which matters which is nuking the day 3 boss. You need RNG to get a staff with a viable spell on it and then you can easily go in there with 4 starlight shards and full nuke through the whole fight. Recluse only feels bad when you're running around mid game using a full spell cast to kill a dog, which is a waste of your time and you should just leave that to the melee
Having a mage stacked with good spells and an ironeye and duchess amping their damage can get hilarious
Field bosses shouldn't even fucking spawn day 1.
You need bone like stone for Recluse she's a different character with it. And if you want to ult faster with Wylder you need Silver Tear
Reminder to beat every boss at least once before they start massively nerfing them because babies find them too difficult. "beating" a boss after a nerf means you didn't beated the game
nerfing them
they don't need to because the game is designed to get dramatically easier the longer you play it and most of the "challenge" is a knowledge check instead of a skill check
That's true, but they're still gonna nerf them because of all the masses of seething shitters dropping the game because of not even beating the dog or at most only the dog
Rather than giving the bosses less HP, I wish playing solo gave you longer days.
I feel like I barely have time to do anything on the map when playing solo.
I wish playing solo gave you longer days
I wish there was some kind of indicator of how much time you had left. Would a clock or timer of some kind really been too braindead of an addition?
Agreed, they are a complete trap that people keep falling into, I think over the 16 hours I have played so far, I only ever had 2 or 3 teams that were competent enough and strong enough to roll through field bosses
90% of the time I see randoms ping a field boss it results in a team wipe, everyone losing a level, and losing whatever runes we were carrying that we hadn't spent
that being said, when you do get a good team, you COMPLETELY MELT the field bosses so fast that it can be very efficient to farm them. I guess it really is just a skill dif and most people being unable to let go of their egos enough to see that
I realized way too late that the item effects on the weapons actual STAYED on your character at all times and you didn't need to have them equipped.
Then I just stacked a bunch of guard counter damage negation on Executor and he became unkillable.
Just in case you don't know, some of the item effects DO require the weapon to be out, you can tell these apart because they have a red hand icon over the top of the normal buff icon on the item screen (usually these are on-hit effects, like "recover hp when attacking")
but these do still work if you have them equipped in your offhand and then just two-hand your main weapon, because it's still technically "actively equipped"
I'm 20 hours in and just now I realized that you can charge Wylder's ult. I feel really fucking stupid now.
Is the matchmaking on PC really fucked for anyone else? I can't find a match
with duo it's bad but solo I get matches instantly
i'm not sure on how to optimally used restage, it's before or after big damages are done on the target? Like to I trigger it before doing a crit, or during or after it? Same for bleed, frost ect
Weird, it takes me an hour to find a match even with this setting
Fromniggers are so at their witts end that they're pretending a coop game with no VC is a good thing
Lmao
remembrance fucking sucks from a gameplay perspective, the matchmaking is different there so you don't find anyone to do them, no way i'm beating gladius solo as a revenant fuck
Ah, I see. According to Leddit the game has separate queues depending on where you are with the remembrances
Nobody cares about you beating this asset flip
Who the fuck plays battle royale slop kek
consequtive attacks give dmg res
attacks recover hp
damage reduction at full hp
You can just facetank bosses an let your team die in the meantime.
roguelite
so is this like isaac or slay the spire or deadcells where you get op and breeze or you dont and eat shit or was that just marketing speek?
also i heard solo mode is impossible. what are the chances fromsoft realizes their retardation and that they will literally make more money if they add a proper solo mode?
no hand icon - you get them even when not equipped
red hand icon - equip it in your main hand for the bonus to apply
white hand icon - equip it in you off-hand for the bonus to apply
imo it's worse than Elden Ring in every way.
Time pressure means I can't play at my own place.
Premade characters means I can't make my own guy.
Gameplay is mostly running and bossfighting; my two least favorite things about Souls in the first place.
Randomizationmaxxing to activate people's gambling neurons.
Without the adventure part, the game becomes a combat game, and i don't think the combat system is good enough to carry the game.
Wake me up when Executor or at least his Cursed Sword with deflects gets backported into Elden Ring.
Is the matchmaking really different? I guess that explains my wait times. Why would they even do that?
maybe I was just bad at the game, but I've mained raider for like 10 hours now and I thought he was shit at first because I could not reach the dog in time to deal any damage before he spasmed away
I haven't lost out in the field for several games in a row now, unless the second bonus on it is super significant and lets me spam totem I'd rather have stats that let me clear camps faster.
Ironeye isn't actually S-tier, it just turns out that ranged combat has always been easy mode in Souls and this is the first game where it's just given to you.
Cringemasters, give me the QRD on Nightreign lore. Does it tie into Ranni's "chill night of the moon"? No, I don't care if it's canon or not, I just wanna know it.
alt universe apocalypse where people and monsters are being pulled in from different timelines, and you gotta kill the big bad to make it stop
no ranni
Dog is such a shit intro desu
Ironeye is for retards that don't need to engage the fight at all. Like gun users in MH, they are S tier just because they don't have to play the game.
Ironeye would be S-tier if the game was not on a time limit and you weren't playing in a team, but it is and you are
Does Dexterity do anything for casting speed?
The core of the game is good but I don't think they will ever get it to a state of being highly replayable.
So is cerberus the final boss on each day 3?
Before you unlock the others. Yes.
You can charge a lot of the skills but they don't all look that different so it can be hard to tell if you did it or not
Bird's whirlwind for example gets bigger if you charge it but it's not really that much bigger and there's no difference to the animation length so unless you read about it you could do it and not even know.
Has Nightreign made you more or less excited for Duskbloods?
Is it worth pirating this game and just playing through it by myself? I don't wanna drop $40 on it for it to be dead in a week...
Wait for the patch, it’s straight up unplayable solo esp for characters like recluse
No, if you want to play solo you'd get a better experience just playing Elden Ring
and just playing through it by myself
How good are you at Elden Ring?
If you're a pro gamer. Sure.
But I mean. If you don't mind the time to download and install it then you might as well just try it anyway. But solo play is not easy.
dead in a week
0 chance, also you will get nowhere alone
You didn't play the game
I like it. I'm a wagie so I can't play long vidya campaigns that much anymore
nooo guys! It's not bad, it's just "pretty good"!
noo! It's not an asset flip! (99% of assets are just copy paste from Elden Ring)
How much did they pay him for this damage control?
(99% of assets are just copy paste from Elden Ring
GOOD
Devs should do this stuff more often. They used to and they should do it again.
more or less excited
I was never excited. It's all premiere sloppage
