In all seriousness though, a lot of status effects are too binary and too powerful. Casting silence on a boss can completely break an encounter, but if silence instead reduced boss damage or increased cast time/resources then it would be more useful on bosses and not have to be disabled.

Then you run into the opposite effect where none of your status effects feel powerful enough to warrant spending a whole turn casting them. It's kind of a lose-lose situation as far as design goes.
