The combat prioritises being mechanically satisfying over complex. People without autism prefer decent combat in a handcrafted, rich, thoughtfully designed world rather than complex combat but clearing mobs in a series of square rooms. Its the whole reason From got popular in the first place.

I haven't played this, but it seems to be the poster child for parryslop. That shit isn't "decent combat", it's just padding to make some people feel better about themselves for memorizing enemy patterns. What's more, From games usually punish you with death over 2-3 mistakes during big fights.

DMCV bringing Vergil back AGAIN as the main villain was so unbelievably lazy that it knocked the game down for me. Still great, but man, could they really not have thought of something else?
