Also I have seen a lot of people online really hyped for it so its much more mainstream than E33

DS2 unfortunately disappoints, it is fine but not spectacular, failing to expand on its predecessor in any meaningful way, and will come and go as quickly as KCD2 did. DK Bananza ends up being a good game not quite at the Mario level and Metroid 4 disappoints. E33, again, does a clean sweep in nearly every category. Silksong still hasn't release.

Really? I used to play a lot of them, I loved 13 on Ps3, 10 and 10 2 on ps2. I remember playing Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Enchant Arms on my 360.
Clair Obsurc was free on gamepass, so figured I'd try it out and it's everything I used to love about those other games.

In chapter 1 so far, normal enemies and bosses generally kill in 2-3 hits with some occasional oneshots. Side content is generally 1-2 shots.

Story stuff? You have some leeway. You have to build some HP/use pictos that are defensive oriented. Early game is better for build variety, IMO. Optional content ranges from reasonable to one-shot city while they have millions of health. Don't be afraid of Expert unless you think you won't have the patience for attack patterns. Best part is you can change the difficulty if it bothers you either way.
