i doubt xbots got confused because generally if you follow a brand you tend to educate yourself about it. as a ps/switch/pc idort who doesn't keep up with gaming news, i get a little confused with the last 2 xbox gens. without googling i cant really tell you whether or not the series x or one x is supposed to be the latest one.

nintendo did it best imo by giving their consoles completely different names. i know ps x/2/3/4/5 is probably best following that logic, but numbers are kind of unimpressive. need a cool title.

Xbox One and Xbox One X are equivalent to the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Xbox Series S and Series X are equivalent to the PS5. But yeah, it would’ve been less confusing if they just called it Xbox 720 instead of this shit

Nintendo already mentioned that they considered calling it the Super Switch at first but probably realized it’s not the 90s anymore, so the name would sound retarded to modern consumers. Besides, the Switch is basically Nintendo’s equivalent of the iphone now, since they no longer release separate home consoles like they used to. Calling it Switch 2 actually makes the most sense.
