The game is mostly dead, people only play HOE, and it's next to impossible to join them since your perks aren't maxed out. What a shitshow.

Any DLCs worth buying? All weapons look like absolute shit, that's why I refunded KF2, everything looks like glossy rainbow puke and the style is all over the place. It's like the worst and the most obnoxious CS/Fartnite/CoD guns.
No. But I have played with the guys on Anon Babble before and it was fun. I'm just annoyed with how fucking painful levelling your perks past 3 is.
I have always said it takes too fucking long in either game to level up. Mindless fucking grinding just for the sake of it which is boring at best to do fast and massive tedium at worst because you can't/don't have the time to grind.
Leveling up to unlock and "learn" your character/perks isn't a bad thing. Forcing you to play many hours per character to level up to max is. Just let me get to max and be done with it

It's not an issue in 2. You level up your perks super quick.

Not really, no. Most of them are whatever, with the exception of Killing Floor - Community Weapon Pack 2 since the Grenade Launcher reskin plays differently with a bouncy nade if it doesn't hit an enemy IIRC.

You unlock all the DLC if someone in your lobby as it. Normally, someone has the DLC, so no, it's not wroth buying.

I only tried KF1 a bit back in 2011 and we had a shitload of connection problems so we barely even played. But when we could play together, it was weird and kinda junky (too used to L4D gameplay) but fun, and I liked the atmosphere. We just tried KF2 since it's on sale for peanuts, and holy shit it was painful, x4 refunds.
What's the general consensus on 2 from people with gorillion of hours in 1?

Even cheating your perks is a pain. You have to enter one of those perk lobbies and grind that for hours.
At least in KF2 thos perk lobbies take no time. You can get perk level 25 in under 10 minutes probably.
I do miss how much impact the shotguns in kf1 had, they felt a lot meatier

It looks like absolute shit. Like, physically painful to watch. Neon everywhere, lights everywhere, every single material, every single surface is glossy and shiny and reflective. The maps are shit. The music is worse than 1. Gunplay is good in some places, but at the same time absolutely horrible in other, the weapons variety is nice but it also triggers Anon Babbleautism in so many wrong ways yes, it's not supposed to be realistic, no shit sherlock
I don't remember a single thing about 1 outside of the atmosphere except the ost because I listen it occasionally so I'm not comparing them.

Just download the leveling map faggot. You can max out berserker and medic just by using an autoclicker on the perk leveling map

you can download a mutator to unlock all the dlc weapons, you won't gain any experience if you activate it tho
