I have spent an inordinate amount of time on OG BF2. Mostly singleplayer though. I acknowledge the flaws of BF2 compared to the OG but there's a lot of aspects it which it is superior. Maps and vehicles are really the only failing of BF2 mechanically. Go back to the OG and really look hard at the gun play and how all the Heroes feel the same. Class selection is about as good as the OG, gun variety is slightly better. I really can't stress enough how much better heroes are over the OG, especially the HvV mode.

If there is going to ever be a BF3, they need to increase map size so that vehicles are actually worth playing again and fun, and deliver on starfighters, and FINALLY deliver on space to ground like the OG BF3 would have. I never liked BF2's space battle mode, not many people did and it never felt even half as good as the OG.
