And apparently will "mobile supporrt"

Already confirmed to be an mtx ridden, pay-to-win or pay-for-convenience game. So yeah, it's undeniable shit.

if there's an open beta i'll play it. the most fun i ever had with Aion was the open beta way back when, the full game was mid as fuck

And apparently will "mobile supporrt"

this is pc only but there is a separate mobile game in the works

mobile/console cross play

trailer opens with peak nostalgia song

followed by bullshots of landscapes

no ui shown because its a 3 button sloppa

no open world pvp

no sieges/contesting content

instanced pvp on a timer

"dungeons" are hallway ff14 dungeons with a boss arena at the end

25+ years of being one of the top mmo company in the world and they release a game in 2025 with less features than the original from 2009

grim

chrono odyssy looks like the same instanced bullshit too. 99% archeage chronicals will be the same.

Korean dude in the comments said there's planned mobile support and I believe him.

ive been following this game for years. it started as a mobile game, but traditional mobile is tanking ever since genshin impact raised the bar so all the korean devs are trying to refocus on the abandoned pc market.

the livestream said nothing about mobile but could be true since I don't speak korean and I was watching someone translate the stream into english

it started as a mobile game

Confirmed shit then, thank you.

NCSoft

Bros I can't. Don't gas me up about this one. We all know this ain't it.

I specifically won't play this due to that generic Korean plastic surgery look. Should have made them more anime. Cringe and pass.

korean mobile phone mmo

one singular yike

mobile

yep, it's doa

Is the mech user class going to be back? That was cool.

Never before and never since have I been disappointed in an MMO more than Aion at release. Actually had to participate in some shitty forum for a chance win beta access, won it both times, had a great time and when the game launched it was hot fucking garbage where you'd fly for 30 seconds at a time in special designated fly zones and that's fucking it.

Suck my dick NCSoft, choke on it.

tranime

Gross faggot

I really wanted to like Aion and bought it day one, but man was it boring.

I enjoyed the game at launch. Aion 1 was ahead of its time. When it came out it was the most next gen MMO available on market. There just wasn't nothing close.

And then it all went to shit. I may have had a better experience than you anon but I honestly side with you being disappointed in the direction the game went

korean mmo

When will you guys learn

if you had grinded to level 30 you could go to the abyss where you could fly forever just to be instantly killed because every npc has the ability to clip your wings (and most players do too).

the real ball kicker for me was how free falling for 3 seconds instantly killed you which made absolutely no sense mechanically, lore wise, or in any context really.

The only feature this trailer has, content wise, over the original aion is unironically swimming. the reason they show off 5 seconds of swimming is because aion was infamous for not letting your character swim which was even more of a sin than the lack of free flight. Players use to joke that there some retarded lore reason being that water was super deadly to daevas or some bullshit. Realistically, the developers just wanted to use a lack of a swimming as a way to make believable map boundaries but it was still an odd choice for a game that let you fly and glide since moving along the z axis is moving along the z axis no matter if its in the air or in the water engine wise.

i completely gave up on aion when they decided to update the game by deleting half the zones (including the abyss). ncsoft is a garbage company and they make garbage products. Its 2025, wheres the player housing? wheres the vehicles? wheres an ingame system more complicated than 'kill 10 rats'?
i think this game will fail and most people will agree. in the old days, korean mmorpgs were a mystery from a magic land nobody could translate but today you can live translate kr streams and see what steaming garbage it is before it even releases. ncsoft just doesnt have the talent to make good games anymore, they can only put out cookie cutter low effort slop, and then dress it up nice with high quality graphics (the least important part of a mmorpg)

Aesthetics pleasing at least. I’m sick of the generic idealized Korean women though. Give me some variety

People say Korean MMO will fail and yet Black Desert, the most pay to win (more like pay to lose lmao) MMO available on the market has been sitting at the Number 3 spot and has been live for over 10 years now.

It's funny how people just ignore BDO's success. Game is Korean as fuck and now normies are hyping up it's single player game Crimson Desert.

I liked it because you could make an attractive character unlike WoW's hunchbacked abominations.

if i ever decide to play this i would max out my toon to cap level, run a couple of endgame dungeons/raids then completely forget about this game.
never spent a dime on mmo cash shops, spent most of my time playing with the character creator in these games anyway

Do any of you even have time for mmos these days? Everyone I know who is burnt out from mmos has no time while at the same time wishing for mmos to come back. it's so weird

Are we sourcing our dreams now

We're not doing this bro. Not falling for your bait. You're pretending. While you're at post the FFXIV Steam Charts too. I thought FFXIV had millions of players. Only a few thousand?!? They lied to me!

bdo has abunch of subsystems to keep you entertained and a highly competitive end game that fuels large groups of people to constantly try and one up each other. Its the ideal balance for pvp/pve. p2w is just a sliding scale at this point and only poorfags care about it (poorfags do not matter).

the real issue with p2w in 2025 is whether or not a game actually gives you value for the money you spend, and most of them simply do not. they just want your money in return for nothing, and aion will be one of those games because it has nothing to offer you. wheres the crafting? or the gathering subsystems? this game is going to be one of those games where you just grind to end game, make the best set of whatever, then you spend all your rl money enchanting that shit until you are a retarded looking christmas tree.

thats because when you have no time but have something you want to do, you make time. and that makes the time you spend in the thing you like even more precious.

people are drawn to mmorpgs because they present a fairer world. a world where an individual can be successful with pure effort and time investment. this is the opposite of the real world. pretend progression in a social game is extremly satisfying, especially if you live the kind of life where other people are constantly climbing ontop of your head, stealing your credit, undermining you, ect.

if the real world wasnt so miserable and corrupt, people would unironically pine for mmos less.

aion was kino i was like level 37? or 40? twink farming herion I think it was called all day then fucking raped the 50s that came to try save the lowbies

best days of my life, leveled to 55 and farmed gelkmaros in giga high kisk spot in mountain between middle zone that took like 2 hours of climbing to get to for the kisk

I also got a week ban for killing a general in the 1st zone "safe" zone you're not allowed to pvp in(western only thing you could pvp there in asian versions)

that looks like shit tho

I think people overestimate how much of a time commitment they are.

Another korean MMORPG with realistic graphics, surely this one will be good

The same people who cry about pay to win in MMOs are the same people who go and spend $500 on a Genshin waifu after watching a zoomer coded trailer with camera pans and chinese wubwub music. They're also the same people who think Subscription or Buy to Play is a bad idea... THAT'S the poorfags. One thing I do know is that a lot of MMO players are Gacha players now and they have no issue spending hundreds on a phone game. But every time I see a Anon Babble thread on mmos it's like we're back in 2010s or some shit and pay to win is a taboo

realistic graphics

I want to live in your real life if that's realistic

I didn't play Aion, how bad was P2W in that game?

I will play it for the day 1 dopamine then quit after a month

it wasn't bad for the first 5 years. then they removed the enchant limits, and it went all to shit when they added a gacha system for stats

opening is a song from the first game

i never really played aion, but i noticed only the first OST is any good from pic related. why did they replace him?

file.png - 2265x606, 226.28K

It was chill the first years. But now, lmao.

actually looks polished

now show me the UI and we'll really see if this is worth trying

Beside aion what other stuff has he done? Never heard of him but

korean

I bet all he does now is gachaslop

bang 'em young

...wat

I'm never playing a Korean MMO ever lmfao, fuck those niggers

but you play gachslop

actually, scratch that, he apparently did a good bit more under his japanese name

I support Pay to Win. I have a job. I don't have as much time anymore. The only way I can keep up with you Brasilian NEETS is if they add Pay to Win

Oh nice, another MTX storefront with fancy animations.
