The only reason the game got worse with more characters is because everyone in FP2 is overtuned and can either hit you no matter where you are on stage (Min-Min, Pyra, Sephiroth) or they have ToD combos (St*ve, Sora, Kazuya, Mythra sorta). It's not that more characters are bad, it's that the new DLC characters were overpowered to sell more DLC.

Has anyone noticed how annoying it is to smoothly switch weapons in Terraria? You can't switch until your current attack is over, but the length of that attack can be quite long. So you have to stop attacking, spam the switch key, and visually verify that you've switched before you can start attacking again. There is no queueing. It's rather clunky if you want to weave in a second weapon to apply a debuff, for example, especially in boss fights where there's a lot of shit going on. I actually posted about it once on their forums and people responded with the expected
