I wish it had a fixed camera angle, better pathfinding, better companions, a better story, used 2e or 3.5e rules, and an option to do rtwp. basically I just wanted a new black isle game, never played a larian game before.
I wish it had a fixed camera angle, better pathfinding, better companions, a better story, used 2e or 3.5e rules...
No one cares
3.5e bloat
no thank you
Mostly I just wish Larian knew how to actually make coop games that don't feel like ass to play
The moment I realised conversations are whoever happened to be closest to the NPC in question and the rest of the team just stand back doing nothing I knew BGIII was not a true D&D game
I modded it into a solo RPG game and it was an okay experience, fell apart in the last third of the game and companions had no life if they weren't in your party which was gay, not to mention them all being player sexual and sex / race / class blind was retarded too
Shallow experience really, just because there's a lot of it doesn't make it better than the next generic shit
I modded it into a solo RPG game
what are you talking about? it is a single player game
I never understood the massive dick riding Larain got by normalfags. It's been this way since DOS1. They're basically the only CRPG they play. Even on Anon Babble people pretend Larian and Owlcat are the only 2 CRPG devs. They're the two only devs discussed on /crpgg/.
I wish it had less companions
Larian Icewind dale 4 when
basically i just wanted a game without faggots in it
Any tips for a Dark Urge play-through on Tactician mode?
Bloat
Can't even make a single aaa video game that actually includes all the rules for the shitty dumbed down normieslop 5e version
You are right it would never work without a skilled developer who actually codes shit instead of blowing the entire budget on mocap and VA and degenerate sex shit
Larian Icewind dale 4 when
icewind dale yes
larian fuck no
2e or 3.5e rules
fucking asshole
Bbbbbbut I'm 16 and I started on 5e and eat tons of processed food with phthalates anything old is le bad I need my advantage rolls and doing 40 damage at level 20 I can't comprehend using more than 1-3 dice at a time help me
anything old is le bad
usually
i wish it wasnt turn based
turn based gameplay is the most boring shit ever conceived
I wish it didnt have the gay rest spell slot system
Then why isn't everyone playing chess 2?
mfw a neanderthal couldn't get out of platos cafe near me
still no sales
Outsold by e33
Kek
Druids can't polymorph into children.
3.5e
ehh, maybe. It's kinda a sweat opinion though.
2e
wtf no
Honestly, you just sound like you're too old to be playing vidya.
DARK URGE IS TOO FUCKING HARD WHAT THE FUCK
Isnt pathfinder based on 3.5e? If so its bloated dogshit system with prebuffing cancer and I would prefer 5e
Sounds like you just want to play an Owlcat game? They made 3, start with WOTR I guess
But don't bitch about TONS of trash fights and the constant pre-buffing, you wanted 3.5e and that's how it is
Which class you playing
Bard
Sorcerer because it is lore accurate.
fuck off.
Hahaha calm down man just fucking with you
Lore for best support, Swords for best offense. Glamour is honestly kind of bad. One of the weakest, if not the weakest new subclasses they added in Patch 8. Valour is the token superfluous subclass everyone ignores, like Illusion in Wizarding, or the Magical Barb.
Oh. Well, I would ignore Wild Magic for starters. Can't go wrong with either Storm, Dragon Ancestry, or the newly added Shadow one...but of the three, I would say Shadow is the hardest one to really nail down, and it may be the weakest. If you're aiming to go down Storm, focus on three attributes:
DEX
CHR
CON
Keep Wisdom at either 10 or 12 for some saving throws. STR and Intelligence should be dump stats.
b-but you need at at least some STR for jumping
Don't listen to those retards on YouTube. I have beaten Honor mode eleventy billion times with 8 STR without any problems. You don't. Need. Strength. Consider bringing along Shadowheart or Jaheira to complement Storm Sorcerer for that Pool of Water spell to get enemies wet before you start casting lightning and shit.
I just played a Dragon Sorcerer and used twinned haste, then my gloomstalker Astarion and battlemaster Laezel would delete shit with near infinite actions, while I used some CC and AoE spells to soften the enemies
Oh, but if you plan on going down Dragon Ancestry, ignore poison and acid ancestry dragons. Doesn't matter if they're chromatic or metallic. Acid and poison are SHIT elements to use for your sorcerer, and that goes double if you're planning on playing as a Dragonborn. Stick with either fire or lighting (if min/maxxing). Ice is fine, but just know you won't be getting anywhere near as much benefit as the previous two, and only a fraction of the benefit as fire.
Fire > lightning > ice > Acid > poison
attributes should honestly be spread the same as Storm Sorcerer. Ignore STR and DEX. Need a frontline fighter like Lae'zel, Minth, or Karlach to tank, with a back up spell-caster maybe if you plan on using elemental shit like lightning, but that's only if you're really going hardcore into Storm Sorcerer. Twinned Haste is always good, but if you wish to challenge yourself or change things up, there's lots more combinations. For the unique abilities Sorcerer gets, I would focus on
Twinned
Heightened
Careful
for the first two Acts
And then Quickened for the last act. You can swap out Quickened with any of the others though if you want. Extended, Silenced, and whatever the others are, are almost never worth it, IMHO.
If there are any bosses or encounters you're having trouble with specifically, let me know. Sorcerer happens to be my favorite class too.
Anybody here playing tactical D&D mods? Currently playing Improved Anvil and further improving the encounters as well.
I uploaded a few videos here if anybody wants to have a taste:
Hexblade Dips are the best class. Your entire party should be Hexblade dips.
*ignore STR and INT
Forgot to mention a very important part of my build
PICK A HALF ELF for shield proficiency, that way you hold a shield for more AC, e.g. I used the adamantine one from the forge. with the shield + the dex gloves you can easily get over 20 AC which is insane on a caster
Multiclassing
you didn't beat the game
I wish it had act 3 that was in any way comparable to act 1 & 2 in quality
Just play Divinity Original Sin 2 to be honest
no RNG bullshit, everything (and I mean everything) is deterministic, if an enemy can BTFO you, it will, but the same goes for you as well, no gambling on a chance
more build and enemy variety
consistent campaign quality
But yeah no fully mocapped cutscenes every time you talk to an NPC
So? The last boss is a giant brain. That fucking stupid. I just try to ignore everything involving the main quest and the stupid mindflayers.
I love looking at Lae'zel fully nude.
reach level 12 a quarter of the way through
zero motivation to do any of the quests
many of the quests do not really feature much choice or branching paths apart from binary "do you want to lose this companion forever or not? dilemmas that aren't really dilemmas at all, choices not mattering in the slightest (Gortash, killing off the tranny in the Shar hideout), and and zero sum games as the question over who gets to control the Absolute.
constantly feel rushed thanks to the earthquakes, and you feel punished for progressing the main story thanks to people constantly changing into mind flayers if you dare kill one or both of the two chosen
best girl
worst sex scene in the game
I will never not be mad
I wouldnt even mind most of that stuff
its just that no one reacts to shit in act3
the area is just bad, you get bored of looking at the samey beige city areas for dozens of hours
the quests have this linearity to them where it feels really bad if you do shit out of order, but the game is structured to encourage encountering shit out of order, so you just feel bad and you have to backtrack a lot
The quests in general are bad, like their design is off lesser quality to act 1&2, they're written worse and other intangible shit.
Gortash living in some random gatehouse is emblematic the entire acts feel.
