I hate how slow I am to finish games. I took my sweet time with this and by now everyone has moved on and it's probably reached that part in the Anon Babble discussion cycle where any remaining threads are just shitposting and contrarians saying "erm actually its reddit and bad". Sad I missed the discussions but game was good.
Only complaint is all the super crazy endgame content in act 3 being randomly thrown at you with no indication you're supposed to do it post game made me do it all before going to the final boss. It was fun struggling through the crazy fights but it made me way over leveled for the finale and made the whole thing into a joke.

genuinely curious because i haven't played E33 yet and i don't really plan to for some time, but i'm curious. hello charlotte also has themes of existentialism and painting, but they differ in that HC also has television motifs (ie charlotte jumping through different realities by going into TV screens and manipulating events by "changing the channel"), they also deal with existentialism in a way that reality is a combination of a simulation and the dream of a dying race of "gods" (something alluded to by comparing them to inky creatures tainting a paper world), while E33, at least from what i've heard, is maelle escaping reality by painting her own reality by painting happy places for herself and supposed echoes of her friends
granted, i haven't played E33 yet and i'm still going through EP2 of HC, and i'm not about to say that E33 is ripping HC off, but i thought the similarities were close enough to warrant at least a mention since i haven't seen anyone else bring this up
