If you go to the main menu and hammer the Start button until you hear a chime, you unlock four more battle stages.

Yeah, it's the start button. It's similar to Bomberman Hero's thing where they added it to sell turbo controllers, but if you mash fast enough you can get it on a regular controller.

Mashing out of stun is so hard to do without picking up a bomb.

I clicked the exe file and it opened a popup about allowing it to execute, I did that and then nothing happened. I don't know if the problem is my pc or the emulator. I also tried with the previous version and got the same result.

I found out each time I click the executable file, Windows Problem Reporting starts and closes itself quickly. I don't think I can fix that.

Bomberman 64 is probably where the series peaked. Why did they bail out on that format? The story and puzzles were fun, the multiplayer map being 3D was awesome and made it really interesting.

Same as you would any game.
Netplay: Create Session --> Open Rom ---> Choose ROM

Just make sure your controls are set and know that every person participating needs the same exact ROM. I'm not interested in anything but Bomberman but feel free to host here.

My favorite was a bomb on a short fuse slid across the entire stage and set off the one I just started carrying.
Or the Twister I summoned spawned right next to me and knocked me off the stage.

Have fun. I ignored the story mode entirely as a kid. Was way too hard for me.

The emulator netplay connected at least. Like I said I think we desynced. Keep an Ethernet cord in whenever you host. It helps prevent most issues.
