be console player for life

decide to buy a pc

everything is at least 120 fps

What the fuck is this shit. I got so used to 30 and 50 that this is unplayable. Everything is so fucking fast, I am literary on verge of throwing up. This should be illegal

that's not how framerates work but lets see where this weird bait thread goes I guess

bait

how the fuck does it go then? I cant fucking parry in games because everything became so fast

Don't worry, with the latest in raytracing technology you can now enjoy sub-50fps even on the newest and most powerful PC GPU hardware!

You can lock the framerate to any arbitrary value you retard

b-but there's no option in the game settings

You don't need an in-game option but I ain't gonna spoonfeed you on that.

be careful, your eyes might fall out if you play too many games on pc

I don't remember game not having an option to limit the framerate to 30 or 60 fps, but I just don't ever pay attention to that so maybe a lot of them don't. Having said that, if you genuinely prefer 60 fps or below over 120 and above that, I think you might not be an actual human being. Games are not movies, you interact with them, because of that the smoothness + the lower input lag will always make games feel better to play on higher framerates.

That isn't how frame rates work, at least make your bait believable next time.

Yes. 30 fps is the optional to play games. Anything else is just a meme from pc players, so they can justify their obsession with spending a fortune and paying shekels to njudea

i've played at 165 for so long 120 feels normal and 60 feels slow.

was aiming for a 144 fps build

screen is locked to a lower number

bros, will I get a headache from playing it like this?

I'm poking my monitor but it's not starting help

not me

I can't perceive a difference between 120 and 165. Maybe if I had two monitors running different frame rates side by side I could

I can't perceive a difference between 120 and 165.

I can, it's subtle, but it's there. I can also tell the difference between 120-165 and 240 fps in game especially when there's a lot of motion like in competitive FPS games.

30 is good enough as long as you are not playing with others. Heck, i still think the sweet spot is 24 just as it is with movies. And yes, i actually like motion blur, fuck anyone that doesn´t.

Literally unplayable, you'll constantly be distracted by the 0.14 fewer frames per second

It's really funny when I hear pros talk about different frame rates affecting them at tournaments and they have to practice on a specific screen to get used to it.

30 fps is the optional to play games

optional

Saar...

High refreshrate is overrated.
Get a nicer panel instead.
You won't notice nearly as much difference between 60hz and 175hz as between 30hz and 60hz.
Plus high fps needs a beefy setup to actually hit that aside from ancient esports games.

I have no idea why sub 60 feels so bad on modern games. I used to play at 30 fps on my old junk computer and nothing gave me a headache.

you don't have to lock at 30 or 60. you can lock at 70, 90 or whatever u want.

What
The difference between 144 and 60 is so big it makes me worry about thermal throttling sometimes, and gives me slight motion sickness the first hour of playing cyberpunk(maxed out all settings at 1440p)
Much less fucking 175

all the nice panels are 120+ fps anyway, and 60 looks choppy when you're used to 120+

if you genuinely prefer 60 fps or below over 120 and above that, I think you might not be an actual human being

They're not. We call them "console players"

His eyeballs don't function properly. He's handicapped, anon. Have some sympathy

Is weird, because i can play shit like botw on switch with no problems, but i tried Batman Arkham knight on ps5, where it runs at 30, and can barely play a couple of hours, i dont know why

4chins satire bait

have sex, you cringe incel

The jump from 60 to 120 is not as extreme as from 30 to 60, but it absolutely is a big difference.

probably because Batman is a darker game, and since I assume you're playing on an LCD instead of an OLED, the the blur and smear are aggravated not just by the lower framerates but also by the LCD's inherent issues with handling motion with darker colors.

Buy a 4K OLED

Native refresh is 240Hz

Pixel response is instant so any lower refresh looks like shit because the frames don't naturally blend into each other any more

So this is the nefarious plot to make us buy high end GPUs.

I went from a 75 ips to a 175hz oled (Samsung G85SB).
You could have fooled me if you told me it was 100hz.
The difference is noticable.
Just far less than i usually see people claim.
Could OLED be a detracting factor?

And to add to that, an OLED at 60fps has clearer motion than whatever IPS panel you could use at any fps. OLEDs only look better and better the higher the framerate but IPS panels are hardcapped by the fact their pixel response time is not instantaneous like an OLED's.

You can't see more than 16MHz.

Interesting, maybe is time to replace my tv

16,000 fps

I'd still notice a 3 frame drop, i'm built different

People were literally saying this years ago but then it was 30 and 60.

Just limit it to 20 FPS then, you can do that.

human eyes can't see more than 3 frames per second anyway

It can take a while to heal the trauma of not having a good gaming PC. Therapy helps.

Good luck, anon.
