TG thread. Whats your build looking like?
Tainted Grail the fall of Avalon
dual wield dualist swords and the Perceval set
Seems like thats the best but i want go go sword and shield or spear and shield. Idk what to do
Trying a blood mage/life drain tank build.
where more origin potion act 1? Got the one off the alchemist already
Looks good but why not mage armor? They have the cool stuff
I see a lot of people saying that this game is unfinished or bugged. Should I wait for polish, or it's as good as it will get?
Well one it's a new character so my options are limited and two, I like that armor.
This is eurojank. They're putting out patches and all, but don't expect it to turn into a hyper-polished AAA experience. Not that AAA releases that many functional games these days.
Galahad, kill or team up?
What would you do?
oh great hr giger nicenice
ok, serah hawke
kinda cool art direction but the game both looks and plays like a skyrim mod,
not something i am into
Percival set
buffs dual wielding
Percival swords
two two-handers
?!?!?!?!
It doesn't matter.
I thought it changed the game
what's better sword+shield or 2 handed sword ?
Did you not play rpgs before skyrim lol
Breadan or whatever his name is is a real piece of shit, it's a shame you can't kill him and still side with the tribes
Is there any difference between bleed, burn, and poison?
Can't you still side with the tribes with Galahad? One eye isn't their leader yet.
Are bosses supposed to be extra tanky on Hard? Are they extremely tanky on Normal? I've only played on hard but it feels like if I switch to normal than mobs would be too easy while bosses would be better.
Are summons and magic supposed to be this broken compared to melee?
Bleed can stack indefinitely and its duration resets whenever a stack is applied.
bleed stacks forever so you can cheese high lvl mobs as long as you can keep building bleed stacks including the fore dweller knight lol
Try a wizard character
Pick up Skeleton Summon
Can effectively send an unending tide of skeletons to chip away virtually anything
It's a neat idea but I can see it getting boring quick.
Do you want mobs to be hard?
she dual wields them, so
Brb im gonna fuck that slut i put up in my mansion on the coast.
all my stats and bonuses from items were deleted when I used an origin potion and my save before I did is so long ago I just deleted my file completely.
I will check back in in a few months after some patches.
Is there Anglo-Saxon armor?
fake news - the item bonuses are there IF YOUR STATS MATCH THEM. You can't remake your build to magic & expect strength bonuses, anon - I used a potion to min-max my build, my guy is a dashing meatgrinder now
yes
Anon i'm pretty sure he's talking about the bonus +1 attribute or skill points from eating the bones and shit you get as consumables.
hated act 3 and the true ending
still want to start another run but as a warrior instead of a mage because I loved the first two acts so much and want to wear all the cool armor I found in my first playthrough
Damn...
... but you find those so rarely ... 2-3 points lost ain't enough to delete a 30lv hero wtf
you're a retard
a real retard
a tremendous fuckng retard
yes, thank you for not being a retard unlike the above, who is a retard
it's okay for your game to delete 4 stat points and god knows how many stamina and mana increased
ok retard
Go shield+spear. A rare combo for some reason these days.
Would like to try the game but ONLY if it's different from the tabletop game. Have any of you tried it? Am talking about the overall plot. I finished a coop campaign with my brother a few months ago; I played as Maggot and he played as Beor. Does this game follow the same story of the rarity invading Camelot, a party of champions that try to fix this and fail, and then four/five nobodies (you) that have to fix the world by lighting the statues? Will I find similar characters and locations? Is it worth exploring anyways if I liked the setting?
Well ... yes. Baleeting a whole run for 4 measly points is way overreacting
Yes? Normal mobs feel good on hard mode. Bosses just feel tediously tanky, to the extent that I can only kill most of them becuase of summons, which feels cheesy and like Oblivion Conjuration tier broken.
or the fucked up Whispers like me asking about Galahad causing Arthur to talk about the tribes (???), the Whispers that vanished, the broken quest lines, all of Act 3...
you know, outside of all that
Game is good but I can wait for it to be unfucked.
spear is a good choice for taking advantage of "weak spot" bonus, im thinking of doing that.
Yeah, it's surprisingly similar - "rarity" sounds like the Wyrdness, those characters are there, but the previous plague was centuries ago so idk if they tried to fix it ... your main objective is to bring King Arthur to life so he can fix everything, but the game has 12 different endings, so ;dd
Lighting the statues is also part of the plot, but it's more of a side note
ok then, pout, you big baby
Very different, Maggot is an NPC you can find in game and Beor is long dead.
In this game you're collecting the soul fragments of Arthur to attempt to a resurrection that completes him properly or kill him forever.
Its meant to be the interim game that leads into Kings of Ruin and then into Song of a Dying World, the latter especially if you get the best ending.
You do light one Menhir but its a side-note to the main objective you're trying to complete in Cunacht.
Beor's not dead, he's Efryr's apprentice at the forge ... too bad you can make him mad ;dd my guy wants to eat babies now, doesn't sell anything
Yeah, I have no fucking actual idea of the English names for the stuff. Thanks!
What about the locations? Is there also a war going on between the city below a big rock, the one next to the big ass wall and Crow's nest?
That isn't anglo saxon armor
Why did I just stab a peasant in the throat with a mace?
Corpse explosion is fun.
that's not how you use a m-ACK!
some dungeons are too big with no direction, just ran around in some shit piece dungeon for 40 minutes looking for some bitch
cant find any cool two handers, its over.
You either turn him into a homo and lose HP permanently or drive him insane
A bit questionable by the devs really
I'm not sure, so I wouldn't wanna mislead you :( The locations are charming in my opinion, but I've seen only the first two acts ... there's many different places, but idk if they're the exact same as the tabletop.
pic unrelated
drive him insane
buy what you need from him
let him slip forever
its literally a rohirrim
proofs?
already level 30 and at least a dozen quests left to do in act 1
I better start wrapping up
Why couldn't they let you parry while having a spell in your offhand...
So close to letting you be a spellsword...
don't want to go 2h or dual wield 1h
shields suck
game only has a single perk for a "duelist" build (less stamina on parry, lol)
It's suffering being a 1h enjoyer...
1h is still strong as fuck even if you don't dual wield
shields suck
No?
Please convince me a shield is worth using over just parrying/dodging attacks. I need some copium to avoid respeccing.
Exploration in this game is super based. I was wandering around near the ship when you arrive and found the tome of Sir Lancelot in a completely random location.
You can parry with shields.
if you dont want to two hand, use a shield, or dw then get the perk that gives bonus for not having anything ion off hand, its actually good. Shields are good for tanky porc builds, not sure what else, i havent tested. I think some unique shields have special effects around blocking or parrying you could build around too.
And this is worth using a shield over another weapon or 2h how? Also, what decides parry stamina? When I parry with a kite shield, it takes ~85% of my stamina. But parrying with the small wooden shield only takes ~30%
Dex and magic are just better than swords and shields. they are trashola
Any monk/unarmed enjoyers here? I noticed that the Heavy Gauntlets have started bugging out, not sure if it was caused by the patch or me doing something in game. They occasionally don't give their bonus damage to unarmed until you unequip and reequip them, I was doing so little damage I thought they had patched in level scaling or some shit like that.
aw shit this looks fun
8 practicality
are you fucking kidding me right now
Respecced from 1H+Magic, was fun for a while but it really is either weapon or magic, doing both doesn't really work. Using the exploding shield and going ham with 1h was alright though.
I've got 83% crit and shit on this build now
still in act 1
arthur talk pops up
What was Galahad like back in the day?
did they fuck this up even worse?
you can hear about Galahad before you meant him, they talk about how awful he is at the start
Why does every game has the same UI nowadays?
Just killed Abigor by walking in circles and bleeding him to death
His sword looks cool, its mine now
because video game """developers""" are being churned out in factory default at "gamedev universities". Studios hire "UX (user experience) designers" who are being taught that the science says this is the most optimal and best design for the lowest common denominator. User interfaces are no longer created by artists.
On top of that, you have slopmaker "artists" selling HUD/UI designs for pennies on the Unity store. It makes me want to vomit
How are buff spells in this game?
My usual go to for games with build freedom is mainly melee (usually sword and boar) with a side of spells for buffing, healing, and maybe some summoning.
i'm getting multiple unrelated topics that start with >What was Galahad like back in the day? however
Best path for the end of act 1?
I hate either faction, but I feel like I'm missing out on a bunch of stuff if I just access Excalibur on my own. I've kinda progressed on all 3, but I haven't seen any rewards at all so far.
I have to fug the bee-bitch, don't I?
on veteran
haven’t upgraded an item a single time
using 2h spectral sword with the Druid armor to stop mana regen
haven’t really stacked any damage in my perk tree, just crit rate and qol stuff like parries
have had absolutely no difficulty
why is this game so fucking easy? im outright not engaging with the core mechanics of the game on the hardest difficulty, nor am I stacking infinite amounts of damage to offset that and im still just steamrolling everything.
there's not a whole lot in terms of buffing, magic is generally summoning/damage with a few healing/defensive spells
the advantage is that you can dual wield a weapon + magic simultaneously so dashing backwards buys you time to fire off a few spells, or you can use a melee range spell as a combo finisher, etc. etc.
all things considered there are 4 slots for weapon configs and switching between them is nearly instant, so you can pull off a lot of varied combinations
stat requirements may be a bitch early on but you will get levels fast as things progress
/defensive spells
What are these like?
i'm not super far into the game (still act 1 of 3) but there's a "ignore damage from next hit", a healing spell, a calm/convert animals spell, and several of the bleed damage spells have heavy attack versions/alt fires that drain hp
potions are more the realm of damage/atk speed/armor pen buff if that's what you were looking for
that said there's some fun synergies where weapons give big bonuses at low mana and having summons up reserves mana
honestly there's quite a few respec potions available so all i can really say is try it out and see if you like it, even if you have to sail the high seas
I'm thinking of switching build, went magic because I figured there will be more varied choices, but I'm near the end of act 2 and I'm still rocking that charging fireball, nothing even comes close in terms of damage to it.
whispers are gained by chatter, places, quests etc. - just going for the tombs grants you 5-10 whispers by the locations/people, nevermind the sweet fights/loot
I went with jack of all trades build on hardest difficulty and the 1st area was fun but as soon as I got to the 2nd area I got stat checked and I stopped playing.
Nothing even comes close to how strong that fireball that homes in on held cast. I looted every PoI in act 1,2 and 3 and you never ever get anything that gets close to it's damage.
what am I supposed to do with Glup Shitto
Can't decide if I should keep dumping points into endurance or not, playing an unarmed build and I have the perk that makes endurance give 1% melee damage per point. I feel pretty beefy but some dex for attack speed would be nice, or to make myself eligible to use better gear.
but you get 1% damage from strength too and strength gives you more stamina. there's no reason to pump endurance too high unless you want to wear the beefiest armor. So far the highest End requirement I've seen is 15
Originally I also contemplated doing a meme low on health build, there are perks that give bonus damage and bonus attack speed based on missing health POINTS, not health PERCENTAGE so having a ton of max health would mean you could buff those to very high values. Now I'm not so sure because on veteran staying at 25%ish health just means you're one, at most two hits away from dying so a glass cannon build no longer sounds tempting compared to your average lifestealing juggernaut. A more even split between str end and dex would probably be better but I'm scared to use origin potions because I've heard they're buggy.
Skeletons actually suck compared to the grindy fags with the hammers, they're not even that much of an upgrade over wolves. Really is a terrible shame that necromancy is the inferior form of summoning, but on the bright side I feel less bad about convincing the necromancer bro to quit and missing out on his equipment.
lone angler fishing rod
does this do anything different? fucking cool-weird event to get it at least
I've used 3 and I didn't notice anything... make a save, take note of your current stats then drink one and reassign the same stat spread. if you end up with the same amount at least you didn't lose anything there. Check your HP and MP without any equipment on, too, in case the permanent bonuses you've found get reset?
I never thought about that so I don't know if my guy is fucked over or not
Bump. Is this game worth buying?
Kind of want to buy this but alters is coming out soon and wildgate beta
Do perk and shrine bonuses even show up on the character page? Also, do you know if there are only a finite amount of origin potions per run?
Oblivion Conjuration
Oblivion summons were ass though unless you rushed Conjuration to 100 and kept your level artificially low.
What's the point of making crafting have a % chance of failure? People will just savescum. Just make it a hard lv requirement to craft.
Just bought it, 1 hour in, was asking myself why they call it junk
Accidentally cooked 400 meals, that will sustain my hp regen for the rest of the game.
Other than that it's great, fighting is way better, music is something else
game falls apart halfway through act 2. its tragic really, i was having a shit ton of fun with it. it was a good 40 hours but i think between the shitty quest design, bugs, and lack of unique exploration rewards like there was in act 1, im done.
It's worth pirating. Most games aren't even worth playing for free.
having beaten the game I can safely conclude my kang Arthur did NOTHING wrong, all the shady shit came from fuckin Merlin as usual but even then they were trapped in a desperate struggle for survival against literal demi-god four arm monsters, funny how the only Knight of the Round you meet that is totally repentant and loyal is Lancelot's ghost
Now that i've seen the patch notes around bugged quest rewards, I actually think you were supposed to get a Lancelot summon from that tomb, which is why he mentions taking him with you and why Arthur says it'll be useful to have him on our side. I thought it was more of a spiritual "we have him in the weapon and armor". But then we actually get summons of multiple other knights.
Seriously I was wondering the same thing, but I figured they meant carrying his armor and Arondight. You can summon Galahad and he's a complete sassy bitch towards Arthur.
Same, about halfway through act 2 it started feeling like a slog. By the time it was time to go to act 3 I just turned the game off kek, I'm probably going to try another build for act 1 then put the game down forever.
IMO, yes. It's the most fun I've had with a game in a long time, I had forgotten what it was like finding a new game and becoming completely absorbed with it. It has its fair share of bugs and apparently the quality falls of noticeably in act 2 and 3 but I'd buy it for act 1 alone, across two character's I've already sunk 35 hours into it. Exploration is fun and rewarding, the combat is pretty satisfying and it's one of these games where it feels really good to progress your character, if you like the power fantasy in WRPGs. It isn't a perfect game but it is a really cool AA budget game from a no-name studio and if you care about voting with your wallet I think this is a title you want to support if you like the WRPG genre.
Anyone know if DoTs can crit? Also, do their damage scale with spellpower?
So there's no woke shit in it?
I assume you mean the statuses. No, they scale with enemy health. The only one that scales per stack is bleed. You can increase their damage significantly with points in practicality I believe, whichever tree boosts debuff damage.
However, if you're a mage, you can pick up a game breaking cube (pic related) which charges extremely quickly if you take the skill in the spirit tree that turns all damage into elemental damage. The cube INSTANTLY procs one debuff on an enemy (or has a low chance to just do damage) which is absurdly strong later in the game because enemy resistances to debuffs ramps up to absurd levels.
If you maelstrom poison or burn onto a lategame enemy, maelstrom even enters a feedback loop and feeds itself with the DoT damage and you can just stand next to the enemy and spam it 10 times a second for completely absurd damage + debuffs.
Depends on how to classify woke. Keepers specifically don't allow women into their ranks, but you also have female warriors among the tribes and while I haven't seen it myself according to people in this thread there's a homo couple in one of the tribes somewhere. You're not going to see black NPCs in your fantasy Britain village but if you lose your shit over seeing a female warrior in a fantasy game then it's not the game for you.
In Black Tar Prophecies should I side with Drest or Iona? I want to side with Iona but heard Drest is involved with other quests.
It's obvious Drest is a selfish piece of shit
At the top of my head if you've already gotten the recipes from him then you only need his help for the quest where a knight is too scared to leave his camp under a bridge
is the game fun as is or should i watch for patches?
there's a gay male couple and a lesbian couple, both among the barbarian tribes
what bridge? I must've missed that guy
His name is Berach or something like that, Drest helps you 'cure' him of his curse then you find him in jail in the second town
Romances are playersexual, so depending on your character pick there's always going to be a homo option + a one night stand with a woman.
There are a few topics that enter into more "modern" topics like helping a woman kill her baby or arguing why porn is good. But you'll have the option to say no in different ways and complete the quest regardless.
Outside of that there are a good number of female bandit bosses and strong woman monsters. There is also a tribe of wild men who have female warriors, but they also use heavy amounts of drugs and voodoo and are really more of species of human rather than normal human, so it can be worked to make some sense.
Overall if you think you're going to go in and get the 21st century dumped on your face... no you'll be fine.
I'm having fun. Most of the (noticeable) bugs that I've encountered are minor shit like subtitles not matching voice lines or an audio track being a bit out of sync during a cutscene. There are broken quests (from what I've heard) but it's not like the game is an unplayable mess, you might run into some sequence break in 1/20 quests or something. The exploration and combat is the fun part IMO, quests are just an excuse for you to do so.
Can't remember exactly where he is, he's near a collapsed bridge around the center of the map, maybe near the Abandoned Village or Abandoned Fort
Not really? There's a quest involving a woman who gets pregnant from having an affair with a red priest, and in the quest you can either help her get the abortion or make her face the consequences, idk if that's really woke though since the woman wasn't the village whore or anything. There's also a "porn bad" quest but you're not given any options other than to defend the porn. There's another quest where a woman wishes for her husband to disappear or something, so some Fae comes along and grants her wish by trapping her husband's soul in the Fae realm or whatever and disguising itself as her new husband, but she only wished for it because he kept beating her or something. Another one involves you outing a guy trying to cheat on his pregnant wife by attempting to seduce a bookkeeper, but you can help the bookkeeper expose him. There's also a quest where some woman turns her husband into a pig with a potion she bought from a witch, but you can also make a deal with the witch to turn the woman into a pig as well.
Idk if you can really call any of that woke or "men bad" though. I guess you could call woman warriors woke but it doesn't come off that way whatsoever, everything seems about right in place for the setting. If there is woke stuff, it's definitely not in your face about it and the game puts the setting first over everything else.
It would be more interesting if gender mattered more. For example the captain says you technically can't be made a Keeper if you're a girl in act 1. Maybe have that be real and have another faction that only accepts you if you're a woman. I enjoy stuff like that in games
I downloaded 1.0 and it sucks. It could be good, but it still feels like early access.
"You fight like a milk-maid!"
"YOUR GOLD BELONGS TO US!"
I know they a small studio but kind of wish they gave more voice variety among the brigands/deserters and other ne'er-do-wells we butcher our way throughout avalon
The problem is that Arthur's soul is an eldritch combination created by a wyrd goddess. Reviving him constantly is what keeps the Red Death and other problems going because she is mad and wants his soul back.
bandits in peasant clothes see a guy dressed in gleaming armor with a magic sword
"Let's get him!"
(A few) fags don't bother me, nor do female warriors (especially if they're hot).
I'm just tired of outright faggotry/tranny shit, Debra Wilson face scans, and ghoulish looking female characters.
Keepers specifically don't allow women into their ranks
This is actually pretty cool to see someone do in 2025.
Not many though, yeah?
arguing why porn is good
How could this possibly be a topic in a medieval fantasy game kek?
Outside of that there are a good number of female bandit bosses and strong woman monsters. There is also a tribe of wild men who have female warriors, but they also use heavy amounts of drugs and voodoo and are really more of species of human rather than normal human, so it can be worked to make some sense.
Sounds right, barbarians are supposed to be heathen degenerates.
Overall if you think you're going to go in and get the 21st century dumped on your face... no you'll be fine.
Sounds good.
help her get the abortion
As long as there's not in-universe PP clinics or anything retarded like that
There's also a "porn bad" quest but you're not given any options other than to defend the porn
Bizarre
The rest of that just sounds like good fun
Watches some other poor down on his luck fucker get blasted into cheese
"I can take him on lads!, with me rusty blade!"
How could this possibly be a topic in a medieval fantasy game kek?
There's a bookstore in act 2 that sells some erotic literature. A red priest steals them to burn them because he thinks it's sinful for all the soldiers to be jacking off into books every day, so your quest objective is to either get them back for the bookstore owner or let him burn the books.
As long as there's not in-universe PP clinics or anything retarded like that
Nah she sends you to get some alchemy materials and herbs n shit.
it clicked for me after around 2-3 hours, when i found some good loot. since then the game has been fun. the loot and exploration is pretty nice. story is whatever so far and im like 8-10 hours in, in act 1.
>>There's also a "porn bad" quest but you're not given any options other than to defend the porn
Bizarre
You can choose to not debate the flagellating zealot and he'll burn the books and you go back, shrug your shoulders and finish the quest.
fucking got him
Started another playthrough after beating the game a few days ago. Act 1 is so fucking good, I desperately wish the rest of the game is like this. So much detail and care put into everything. Massive change compared to ore nodes in act 3 looking like they dragged the ore model into the ice model and just said "yep good enough"
Character creation has Male/Female instead of Body Type 1/Body Type 2
there's one in the tutorial and one at the end of act one, I can't remember exactly where, I think it might have been in the Dal Riata camp in the top right corner of the map
enemy HP is my biggest complaint with the game so far
some enemies just have 10 times the hp of everything else around them for no apparent reason, then some bosses die in a few hits
So many waifus in this game
And somehow I beat the game and never encountered any of them. Just boring humans.
Im using Bloodsting, a 2hn Sword that damages me. It procss the 5% heatlh per hit skill and 25% more more armor on dmage taken amueltt before doing damage, so I cant a nice boost with armour to damage skill and 5% max health heal per strike. It could also trigger stamina on damage gain but I dont need stamina really.
What level were you?
I just got to the second map and I'm a level 31 mage. I'm wondering if I can take him on.
Dual Wield>2handed>Magic>Shields
Not sure where summons and bows fit in, but they are probably shit. Lots of complaints about summon AI and bows seem way too slow but I've never tried to use them seriously
This spell is so broken
Is there ANY point to fishing? I have not caught a single thing besides common bream and garbage
these are my stats, haven't put all attribute points so ~45. could probably have done it earlier, my 2h weapon deals around 140 damage and I have the lifesteal perks. Didn't have to use any healing items. 34% armor
Other than a couple of quests, no
I finally did it. I reached The Tainted Grail™
Adventurer difficulty by the way
Is this TES like or rollan?
I wanted to like and enjoy the game, but every time I use certain spellls my frame rate tanks. I can't play it as a result.
Doesn't sound bad at all, thanks
It shows how grim the situation has gotten that something as small as that is seen as a win now, y'know?
the loot and exploration is pretty nice
Is there actual cool artifacts/unique weapons? Or is it all RNG shit like Falloit 4/Skyrim?
what the fuck, I'm 44 with 500% spell power how is your shit so low?
All RNG.
That's not true.
I dunno why, but I keep thinking of fable while playing it.
There's generic loot and there's hand-placed loot. Exploration is highly rewarded, every nook and cranny will have secret quests, named loot, etc and there's lots of it.
Except it is? But nice try.
I swear every hidden, locked chest has gold (20), wooden arrows and/or a bottle of moonshine and it drives me mad. There are a lot of hand placed uniques, but you pick them up in the world, they're not in chests.
I'm wearing a mix of +Crit Chance and +Damage gear. I switched out the +20% crit chance helmet with the fledgeling helmet that has 33% crit dmg and 33% atk spd. I think I will change back to the critter thoug
The sunfire sword has an RNG effect?
Correct.
Where?
What do you think critical chance is?
What part of the unique effect of the sunfire sword mentions critical chance?
Not sure why you're lying so blatantly. There is generic loot that enemies drop, like a bandit dropping his generic shortsword or leather chestpiece or whatever but there's literally hundreds of static items that are completely unique. The loot system in Tainted Grail is no different than Morrowind: if you know where something is, you can run right to it from the very beginning of the game.
Every weapon has RNG on it. It's called critical chance.
The part where said heavy attack can, randomly, crit or not.
Every weapon has RNG on it. It's called critical chance.
Oh, shut the fuck up. You know exactly what meant. Stop being a retard on purpose.
The person you replied to was asking about unique weapons, not about critical hits. Surely you're merely pretending, right?
Did that quest have any special loot tied to it? I jumped in the hole, killed the Feys, got teleported out, ran into a bear, and...that was it?
Unique weapons have a chance to crit do they not?
711121749
Bait used to be believable.
Yeah there was a unique spear in the bear cave. It was kind of shitty though
Imagine being proven so wrong you don't even want to quote the person in an attempt to avoid being called out.
but you pick them up in the world, they're not in chests.
battlemage set, spellslinger set are both found in chests. atleast half of all spells, multiple unique weapons and almost all armor diagrams are in chests.
You are correct for act 2 onwards though that 99% of chests you open even if they're in spots that seem hidden or secret have nothing but gold and one potion or liquor in them
I just stumbled on this one, I don't have screens of any actual uniques but I've found a couple in this same manner
Alright fair, I wasn't being 100% factual there. Most stuff is on corpses and generally you find them from the bounties but plenty are simply lying about for you to pick up
They're in chests but they're static and will always be in the same spot.
Where do you get that chest armor?
Is it any good? I'm tired of looking at the Revenant's Ribcage.
Could you tell me where you found this? I've been using merlins thorns and thunder lash for like 30 hours now.
i cant play any game that doesn't have souls-like combat.
it's been this way since i played DS1 back in like 2010
as a result i haven't played many games in the last 15 years
I think that's Chestplate of the Last Man. It sucks. 10 armor and 3% melee damage buff. You find it under blood lake
You must learn to embrace the eurojank.
Just beat the game and saw most of the endings (one ending has like 7 variations that slightly change ending slides). A 6.5-7/10 game that could've easily been 7-8.5/10 with enough polish and development time. As a first Elder Scrolls-like RPG of the studio that only made a card battler before (though it was also pretty cool, it's in the same setting and is pretty creative with enemy design), great job. Act 2 starts feeling unpolished halfway through. Act 3 I just ran through, luckily you can speedrun it right from the getgo (and giant and forebear fights are pretty kino all things considered). Cool environments are definitely the game's strong side, plus people who programmed enemies and combat should receive A for effort, even though it's probably C for execution. My only hope is that this game makes the studio some money and after they make it actually fucking playable and fix all the broken quests and jank they'll make a second one which would be much better now that they have experience. The secret ending makes it possible for the sequel to go pretty much in any direction and the setting is easy to use to tell pretty much any story (if only writers for this game were better at their job).
The dungeon under the blood lake.
Is it any good?
It's got good armor (10 base) but the effect sucks (+3% melee damage).
500 elemental
That is like 2 attacks on the Tier 3 spells
The combat is basically 1st-person dark souls
This model is a fucking beauty. Reverse image search took me to an ancient ass website. I wish this mini was in a games workshop army. I always loved the chainmail mask
It's not a 28mm mini judging by proportions.
54mm according to the site.
You start off hideously weak, until you grinded enough stats to wear the level 1 gear.. And that is part of the appeal
But i wish the vendors where just a little better Only real gold sink is what... upgrading for flat ,1 gain per level?
The way it calculates damage to charge is a little weird. Against most enemies a single charged scorching blaze will instantly fill the meter though that's probably because of the "chance to gain 2 charge when you gain 1 charge" skill.
It's hard to describe just how silly this cube is so I'll just show you
You're right, it's 54mm, but with modern tools it could easily be scaled down and maintain the details.
It's dirt cheap too. Fuck if I had a way to scan it into a file and make a custom army I'd spend a few dozen hours on this project.
That really does suck. Also kinda lame that there's no greaves or boots.
It's unfortunate I missed the cave the first time when I swam the lake. Just went back and exploded the guy's head with one attack.
VM Miniatures has nice 28mm vikings if you're looking for non-3d printed ones
VM

Does magic stay overpower in the game? I'm just running through everything without effort on the highest difficulty. I want to be a spellsword but magic feels retardedly op.
BUT IS THERE ARMOR LIKE THIS IN THE GAME AAAAAAAAAAAA
That does sound good
The loot system in Tainted Grail is no different than Morrowind: if you know where something is, you can run right to it from the very beginning of the game.
That's exactly what I was hoping, like Morrowind or Souls games where if you remember where the good stuff is, you can set up a new character nicely.
What am I looking at here?
Neat!
You start off hideously weak, until you grinded enough stats to wear the level 1 gear.. And that is part of the appeal
Yeah I don't mind starting weak as a kitten as long as i get to actually become powerful.
Nah you can fill the heart with monster souls then when you turn it in convince him with 15stat to not go through with the operation and stick with his weak original heart.
You finish the quest, don't lose hp, and don't lose a merchant. His boss even joins the grail team after
first person kill cam execution
Was segremar's castle only supposed to take like 30 minutes or so? Can't shake the feeling that I missed something.
His boss even joins the grail team after
As long as you don't rat out Etryfr and help reclaim Beor's original heart from the fey he'll join the grail quest.
I did the monster heart, and he only turned a day or so after I convinced the bald man to go help with the grail.
I've used two true all-mother's amulets so I had +70 HP from that alone and I fueled the heart because I was still beefed up regardless. he didn't seem to turn gay from that but I haven't gone back to talk to him since.
Game is easy enough that as long as your build is functional, everything is easy, even dual wielding shields is pretty okay. The sole exception stealthless bow runs, those suck.
In general, player power plateaus in mid act 2 as you start to run out of skills to invest in. Hybrid builds are possible, but they take a long time to take off since you need to invest in a whole bunch of skills.
90% of Segremar's is just listening to dialog.
You enter, go through the part before the castle and take in the sights. Meet mushroom man and the hidden merchant, go in Kill butler, go meet the first sister who puts you into books where you kill her tulpa a few times, meet the second sister, find all the dead babies then you can go to the chapel, talk to mushroom man, promise to help or not, then you fight the queen then choose to kill or infect the king
There's nothing else aside from some generic exploration loot to get.
Ah so I didn't miss anything then, I also got two swords from the queen and I'm not sure if that was intended. What happens if you kill the king instead of infecting him?
Full life steal+Thornblade for bosses, and for mobs my Stun Hammer or Big Club of AOE. Them bears still hit hard though, is it possible to summon them?
Vidar or Crows?
Who gives the better stuff?
do you think any anon had the time to fully play both sides? just go for the roleplay version, except for act1 there arent any items to miss anymore later on.
Crows. Just trust me.
Yeah surprised the only boss fight was with the queen, maybe we were supposed to fight the fungi later?
Gotta say i kinda wanted to save Claire, even if she's a fanfiction author
What's great is that you can kill them both. None of that essential NPC bullshit Bethesda throws on fucking everyone.
You get his clothing set, which is another magic set but more summon oriented but includes easily the best cape for magic users in the game (as long as you weight reduction it)
I see, I just feel im plowing through everything way to easily. Have the fire want and it just makes the blood shot spell a death machine. Just bring and bleeding everything. Every other spell also just melts through everything even on the highest difficulty
Fuck, I picked the mushrooms and didn't get shit from it.
Huh i haven't seen them, then again i did think that ugly shopkeeper was a bit too flamboyant asking me to sleep in his cave
You do get a funny mushroom hat if you speak to the original infected knight outside of the castle (you need to walk past the teleportation circle and back up the steps to where he is initially located). But it's really just a ridiculous looking meme hat.
Talk to the mushroom knight and you'll get a hat.
it's the blacksmith dude who forges the new heart for Beor, and some random lesbian couple in one of the Dal Riata tribes in act 3
and some random lesbian couple in one of the Dal Riata tribes in act 3
Oh, right, the one that 41%'s herself.
metallic tunic
simple cloth cape around the shoulders
tight strapped leather boots
unadorned metal helm covering the dome
Simple lightweight spear
shield
sexy saxon sword on back
It's literally everything I want in a character. It's awakening a primordial memory of my ancestors.
Oh i didn't speak with Beor again after saving him.
I missed the teleporter at first and was panicking around thinking there was no way to get above ground. I was expecting it to be next to the throne, like in the queen Bee dungeon
it's the blacksmith dude who forges the new heart for Beor
Erfyr? The guy with the (dead) wife and kid?
devs added a soijak in the game
based
Which is crazy against the lore
Forgot le pic
No the tribal you speak to about forging the new heart for Beor, he's camped up by the ruined toll house
Just reached lvl 20. I've maxed summon branch and got 20 spirituality, grindylows destroy everything. Is summoner build basically cheesing?
I dont care im going to revive him anyway
Anybody found anything interesting with fishing?
I feel like a Deviantart OC (straw wings until I can find some actual ones lmao)
so is this SCORN but Skyrim?
Where do I find the Summon Assassin spell?
Pontiff Sullyvahn
Where was this cube? I remember seeing it somewhere but didn’t grab it.
In act 2, where the giant wyrm skeleton's tail meets with a road, theres a guy sitting on a rock that sells it
A lot of builds turn the game into easy mode when they get going. Maybe a weakspot build is the best for tryhard gamers because you have to actually aim your attacks to hit the weakspot.
Thanks!
I'll buy the game if there's nudity or if I can play a tribal in body paint
now where do I find something better than master assassin/battlemage?
Can't dual-wield Perceval's cool status swords
Where the fuck is my Titan's Grip feat you Polish assholes?
She's kinda hot tbdesu, shame she didn't have painted toenails though
Act 3
magic deals absolutely 0 damage
burn + bleed outdamages every spell i have, even with the double cast wand
Is Alisa the only chance I have at sex? I can't get through the game without a good coom
A little late to the thread but anyone know good 2 handed swords I could pick up in the second area? Can’t find an updated wiki and got to the zone last night.
the slight jiggle when the sword is removed from her chest
muh dick
there's at least one girl in act 2 you can fuck
double cast wand
WHERE
Its back in act 1 but you should try the Cracked Sword that the Stone Knights use in that early crypt (yes the 100KL one) just grab the perk than increases damage based on weapon weight
Oh nice, is she hot?
I decided to kill him but when I learned the truth about Kamelot I decided to tell Breadman to fuck off because nothing he said warrants me going against Arthur. So now I'm locked out of the keep and farming for honey so I can pull the damn sword myself. It's a good thing I'm the type to do every side quest before continuing main quest shit or I'd be a bit saltier.
Honestly though? Kind of worth it so far. Galahad's mace is very nice.
STR
END
Almost got 30 in both
That's it. That's my build. A greatsword and just that. Oh and the heaviest armor I can find.
can you get into the sewal tomb without siding with brandon?
Is there a way to make the day/night cycle longer? Cuz the days and nights are WAY too short imho.
Interested in the game, it seems like the build variety is the strongest selling point. How are the quests? Fun and engaging or boring?
i wish i remembered where i picked that up. i'm so sorry my friend.
Remember thinking about doing that very same thing but I’m too much of an hoarder and pick up and save everything especially unique gear so I need that extra carry weight room
i think it might have been in Act 3 in the cave where you find the old berserker tribe's tribe mother.
there is a tiny chance that it could have been at the top of the tower, close to the Percieval fight in the Forbidden Temple. there is an elevator in a tower there and if you ride it all the way to the top, instead of getting off early, there is a wand there. but i am like 70% sure that it was the wand with +75% spell damage, +50% spell cost instead. that's a good wand too though, if you don't have it yet
See I was gonna kill him but I don't want to be locked out of the keep...
When is this gonna go on sale?
Yeah I've been using that wand, and I'll look for the twincast, thanks
I tried Avowed and thought it was ok at best but got very bored. Is this not just Avowed but dark fantasy? Looks like it. Hard to trust "Scrolls likes" after playing that dogshit
it's about as close you will get to an elder scrolls copy. it even has the same kinds of bugs and jank.
What differentiates it from Avowed doebeit
no idea, i didn't play that slop. all i can say is that Tainted Grail is basically Skyrim with nicer cities and better combat. Act 3 sucks though
Oh. That NPC looks kinda cute
completely honest here, avowed really wasn't that bad. ill still shitpost on it every chance i get but i actually had a lot of fun with it. i think it had better combat than this game and the world was fun to run around in
It was boring AF. I completed my oblivion play through just fine (after not completing a full play through before) and it was significantly easier than sticking to Avowed. Oblivion still had all the same 20 year old bugs too
The problem with Avowed is that the RPG elements sucked ass. The skill tree was garbage, the gear sucked and the upgrade system sucked even more. Also the world scaled in a shitty manner forcing you to upgrade your gear to keep up in a way that made it feel like a gear treadmill.
L-Lewd......
its great right? so far the only games I can do this in are Mordhau, Elden Ring, and modded Skyrim but I'm always on the lookout for more
Anyone know where to find this?
My issue with Avowed and pretty much every other modern RPG is that they scale really poorly. I don't know if it's an issue of scaling being an issue or if scaling itself is just a bad idea in general, I am not a game designer, but when I play a lot of modern RPGs they tend to have level scaling, so I almost always feel just as weak as I used to. I can never gain power. And Avowed did exactly that.
That's why I like this game and things like Gothic. Once you get powerful, you really are powerful and you feel powerful. That doesn't mean the game is instantly easy, because there's a new zone around the corner that fits your new power level, but it feels nice gaining power and having your build come together. It's satisfying in a way that I'm constantly baffled that modern RPGs tend to do the exact opposite and tie enemy power to your own, so it never feels like the choices you make matter. Making small advances in power never feel like that.
In the corrupted temple, I met some guy in a dungeon in a wizard hat and I couldn't find the key. I just killed Percival and entered the new area, but I still want that guys key to the cell.
Where do I find that?
Sounds like you might like Cyberpunk then. Even on Very Hard the game is relatively easy if you have a good build and the top of the line cyberware, iconic and upgrades. It feels good to be that OP using cool abilities but also it's fairly easy to get (you just need to play a lot so you can level up and buy the cyberware, iconics and their upgrades you naturally get crafting material for). I would say on Very Hard only the final boss presents a REAL challenge.
Definitely for one on one fights like boss battles, specially early on when you don't have good gear or stats to use it
Where!? I never saw it.
get to act 3
just want to restart and do a new build to do act 1 all over again already
act 2 killed my desire to ever go past act 1 ever again
Good riddance.
i really enjoyed Act 2. it's really just Act 3 that sucks. Act 2 still gives you lots of reward for exploration but 3 is just potion and gold in every chest and experience as the only reward for every quest.
Either the worm boss or the remains of the woman that becomes it should have the key, you might have missed her wyrd ash pile.
Act 2 still gives you lots of reward for exploration
act 2 doesnt give shit for exploration. anything remotely interesting is tied to a bandit bounty which you'll just follow a quest marker to or is part of the main quest.
the dumbest shit about this thing is that it damage ticks super often and stacks Lament like crazy.
they nerfed the arcanist blade
FUCK, that thing was so damn good.
Yeah i hate weight issues in RPGs
i wish you hadn't posted this
t. just started over as a pure mage
i cannot resist the call of pure beamspam
Are there any other crazy night events in The Horns other then the skele farmers and fisherman?
What's with all the... "statues" of people and the gigantic hands and faces and peoples faces screaming out of walls and whatnot.
It's this weird new art style I've seen in a few recent games and I hate it. It's almost like... Hieronymous Bosch mixed with Zdzisław Beksiński. It looks almost comical when you're walking around the dark abandoned ruins, slow female chanting some kind of hymn in the background, the moon casting dim rays through decrepit broken glass windows, creating an oppressive atmosphere and then you get some retarded gigantic soi facing statue....
a lot of bosses don't have stamina so all the points you put into fucking over stamina mean nothing
Kinda silly.
the demo was fun but all the reviews are saying after act 1 the game falls off a cliff and it's buggy, is it that bad?
That's what a lot of people are saying here too. Act 2 is a step down and 3 is meh.
I just freed Kyreth from the Corrupted Temple but got nothing from it... is that normal? Does he show up again? I asked him for a reward but he said, "Sure, just let me out" and then he just vanished. I reloaded it and just opened the cell and tried to kill him but there is an invisible barrier protecting him.
I've been liking Act 2 more than 1 to be honest.
You only get locked out if you kill galahad AND piss off the captain. If you kill the captain, galahad just makes the quartermaster you've been working for the new captain and everything is fine.
Act 2 is still good. Act 3 is where it goes for the nose dive speed record.
Act 1 is 10/10
Act 2 is 8/10
Act 2 is still good, it's just that you start to notice less polish and less rewards for exploration. In Act 1, you can't go anywhere without being rewarded for exploring. It feels really good. In Act 2, that's still a thing but it's obviously to a lesser degree. Act 2 town is also a complete mess to traverse when you just want to craft things and use your chest constantly.
With a little polish, Act 2 could be just as amazing. Hell, the Corrupted Temple questline alone in 10/10 and that's in Act 2.
Act 3 is there it really starts to decline. There is almost no rewarded exploration to speak of. And this is where bugs start to become even more common. I don't even think Act 3 is finished. I'm almost certain they just pushed it out the door and called it a day.
I'm still more than happy with my purchase though. Act 1 and 2 are better than anything I've experienced in Vanilla Bethesda games.
So it's literally Dark Souls 1?
Pretty much.
i got teary eyed bros... were the devs saying we need to let the King Arthur myth finally die?
king arthur is over
its shah mohammed time
You guys just bitch about act 2 because you burned yourself out
Yes, now it's time for the Mabinogion game.
Then why am I already doing a 4th act 1 playthrough?
Filthy fucking polacks dont get to tell us to give up British legends.
That makes way too much sense.
Because you attached yourself to the feeling at first and won't give the other acts a real attempt. Try it again trust me
I don't even think Act 3 is finished. I'm almost certain they just pushed it out the door and called it a day.
Act 3 is basically still an Early Access game. you can feel how it is absolutely barebones and that it is supposed to become a proper full game as the development progresses. but it doesn't. it's the actual release of the game.
the story is basically a single paragraph; uninteresting and bare.
the Dal Riata tribes are completely soulless and boring. you see these interesting tribesmen in Act 1 and 2 and they're just nothing alike the Act 3 tribes. every single tribe NPC is just a whiney bitch, crying about how their problems are more important than anything else. none of them even care about Arthur or mention him except for the one story guy that has to lead you to the last artifact.
the chests and bosses just have no loot. there are no merchants anywhere that would sell you anything cool. there is nothing that would actually want to go somewhere and find stuff.
the dungeons are either short and bland or rehashed. the map is just an ice block with rocks and without any detail. it looks like shit and feels boring to wander through. Act 1 and 2 had such nice scenery and in 3 you just get the same light blue rocks in every direction you look.
and the ending to the game doesn't even make sense. you make your choice on what to do with the whole Arthur thing, kill the final boss and see the epilogue. the game tells you how the story unfolded after your decision and talks about the NPCs you've encountered. but a lot of the events are completely contradictory. characters going places that don't exist like that anymore. others interacting with NPCs that shouldn't exist. you see in a diashow how on choice 1 you picked option A, but in the next dia the game tells you how character X's life went after you chose option B for choice 1.
THIS GAME SHOULD NEVER HAVE RELEASED ALREADY. it needed at least another year to finish act 3.
I didn't enjoy it and I think the map design is meh. Not shit but meh. I just don't like it.
shill me this game anons
Remember how you felt when you played your first Elder Scrolls game? It's that.
it scratches that elder scrolls itch just right while having better combat and better performance than the oblivion demake.
just stop playing after you finish act 2. there is nothing waiting for you there.
should i wait for them to finish act 3
if we knew for sure that they planned to do it, i'd say yes. but we don't know anything, other than them at least addressing some bugs with patches. we can only hope they don't copy Bethesda in terms of post-launch support too. one can cope that they give it the same dev attention as Baldur's Gate 3 got post launch.
bg3 also didn't finish act 3 so
talent that gives me an arrow back on crit
talent that makes arrows pierce the first enemy it hits
crit both, get two arrows for the price of one
lol. not that I need it, the best arrows are also the easiest to make
afaik bg3 didn't add any content to act 3 post launch.
so if they haven't said they'll add it, i guess that's that then.
thanks for the help
Act 3 should have been Kamelot, instead it's a lame snow area they're probably going to spend an extra year finishing if they even continue developing the game. Now Kamelot is probably going to be some DLC that's releases just as unfinished as act 3, if we ever even get Kamelot. To be fair I don't know if the devs are good enough to create an entire fleshed out cities, the houses barely look like houses, so maybe that's a good thing.
they also dumped the entire concept of supporting the game for some reason because of WotC being WotC I assume. these developers on the other hand only have this game
I dont think the idea of king arthur as we know it really holds any water anymore after all of the archaeological work that has been done since the fucking 12th century. Just look at all of the other hogwash the original author wrote about to try and craft some made up origin story for britain
i don't even understand why all the Dal Riata tribes live on a fucking iceberg. how does that make sense?
the last soul fragment should have definitely been in Kamelot though. but adding Kamelot to the story doesn't make sense anymore now. the only way we could get Kamelot would be as a prequel but then we would basically be playing Arthur. being arthur while having the freedom to build your character however you want sounds wrong.
Wait you can dupe wyrdbone arrows? Just gotta line up drowners like a kebab?
Looks like I found a way to 5million and +20 equipment even when I've found all the stagfather shrines...
Get the jester boots for 200% speed
Think I can just buzz saw my way through
Any forward or even sideway movement turns any melee attack into a lunge
High movement speed means my lunges throw me 5m forwards pass whatever I'm trying to hit
Literally unplayable as a melee char
Thank god that I CE'd in 99 origin pots.
erm ackshully the archlogical data...
in a mirror, the lips
any nigga here played the card builder game?
another anon mentioned wotc but when i checked there was nothing to support the theory of wotc-larian conflict. when i read the statements by larian ceo on twitter and from wotc it seemed like everything is fine. from what i can tell and extrapolate from pri,ary source data, larian did not continue to bg4 or bg3 dlc due to financial reasons and/or employee burnout.
aside from bg3 act3 being unfinished, as far as "unfinished" games go act3 is actually not that bad. and larian did bug fixes and patches for years, even adding new subclasses, which was entirely unexpected at launch. not that it's some difficult thing to add a subclass of course.
i think that if TG act3 is as anon says e.g. chests have no loot and dungeons are just an ice block everything is the same texture... then there is a lot more left to do to go from here to a finished act3 tan bg3 had.
in the end, bg3 never finished act3, so it's pobably not gonna happen here either. maybe there will be a kotor2 style fan megapatch in a few years. or mods.
how's modding for TG?
Sodapoppin had fun with it. It's really good. The deckbuilding mechanic is great and enjoyable.
how's modding for TG?
well, according to a post on reddit that reposted what the devs said on their discord (god i fucking hate the devs already), mod support is planned to launch in about a month with the first modding tools.
You might be thinking of Avalon, Kamelot still exists in the story
regular ass tainted grail? it's pretty great
the twin pillars of roguelike deckbuilder are enough to fell even the strongest of shills but despite that it's still really fucking fun
good atmosphere, music, builds are almost meant to be broken in half over your knee and the final boss is basically a leaderboard dmg check so you are encouraged to break shit in half
recommended, especially on a sale
but what do you want to do with Kamelot when the story concluded without it and you can even tell the giants and Dal Riata to raid and destroy it. all offscreen of course.
That's why I was saying act 3 should have been Kamelot instead of Forlorn Swords.
devs working on modding tools
mods will fix A3!
They should fix their own Act 3. Then release more and more content. Do a No Mans Sky.
the post in question. i am not going to join their shitcord just to confirm this is an exact copy of the original post.
ffs even doing their shit on reddit would be less shitty than announcing your plans on a discord. or just don't be a disgrace and make a wordpress website in 5 minutes where you can keep people updated with blog posts.
people kept saying the story is bad
it's actually kino
Our KING is such a fucking bro too.
I have still not seen any real bugs. Sometimes the dialogue gets fucked and lines repeat and you do get stuck and have to use the unstuck thing sometimes if you route in a strage way. Other than that I don't think I noticed anything bad. Act 3 is kinda boring so far though
I HAD A THUNDER HAMMER AND I HIT THINGS AND THEY DIED. BUT THEN A FROG ATE MY ARM.
my wife arthur is so cool
people kept saying the story is bad
Literally who?
find a really cool set of armor
it's white and no enchantments
Oh fug
Ginnungagap, Niflheim, Muspelheim.
Ild, is, dråber falder.
Ymir, Jotun, skaber aser.
Most negative reviews dislike the story, some positives even mentioned how it was subpar despite liking the game.
Anon Babble has also mentioned how they didn't like it.
Sounds neat, and it's on sale for 80% off right now so I'll give it a go.
hey I asked this first, you are not supposed to take advantage of the advice
Found the act 3 fire ball and healing spells on a corpse on a cliff face around the Theud village.
nibbleheim :D
reach level 35 in the first zone after exploring and completing nearly everything
see the wyrd knight for the first time at night
assume im more then ready to fight him
get my ass handed to me like a child to a drunk abusive professional mma fighter
Jesus christ, im not even sure what to do against the guy, status effects?
Anon Babble called it reddit but didn't elaborate how
i thought act 3 didn't have loot?
cohh being obsessed with this and calling it amazing when its the worst combat and gameplay possible
I got him down to half health and he fucking disappears, and then reappears the next night. Absolute horseshit.
Percevals Sword that Inflicts Poison on Odd Hits
Two Poison Gems socketed into it
Fully spec'd into the Status Tree
Poison Buff applied
still doesn't apply Poison in a single swing on some peasant
Well time to respec. That's fucking annoying.
Hold off till the major bugs in act 2 and 3 are sorted.
the more i play the more flaws i see
its making me not wanting to play, game is starting to feel like budget yurojank vanilla skyrim
holy fuck theres like a million quests in act 2. this village people just keep giving me shit to do
when its the worst combat and gameplay possible
except this is the best combat and gameplay in any first person game likes this to date. skyrim wishes.
Do another playthrough
Strawchildren can fuck right off
Actually act 2 can as well
I'm in the boat where I think Act 2 is better than Act 1.
greatsword user through all of Act 1
didn't even bother looking at anything else
get those dual fire and ice sword that are meant to be paired
whatever, lets try it out
one-shotting almost everything at three times the speed
what
Why is there no gore in combat, fucking safe shit.
I hope one of the first mods once the mod tools are out is a dismemberment mod
Quests bug out for me a lot and so do talks with Arthur
I'm doing one right now and I don't plan on continuing after act 1 is finished cause I have another build and challenge in mind I want to try afterwards. Idk why you're so pressed to convince me to like act 2. I really just don't like it. I don't like being in cuanacht at all. You cannot change my mind, it's fine and that isn't a bad thing. I would still recommend the game to anyone who wants to feel like they're playing a TeS game for the first time again. I simply enjoy only act 1 and not 2 or 3.
it doesnt even come close to vanilla skyrim
vanilla skyrim was god tier
this shit isnt even worth your time
They're easy as fuck though?
Played the tutorial dungeon and a bit of the beach. Honestly not for me. Dark fantasy is cool but the world is a bit too boring for me.
vanilla skyrim was god tier
Dual wield is supposedly the most broken playstyle in the game
the seats still warm and smells like mother........
Can I play one of the usual generic fantasy races?
This game wasn't for me sadly. Combat felt to slow and slugish.
-steam review
wew lad
No, humans only.
how is practicality not seen as OP af?
5% damage per point (assuming you hit weak spots, not hard to do vs most enemies)
1% stamina/mana reduction per point
10% better vendor prices per point
weak spot normal enemies and bosses that cant be weak spotted just use bleed. what am i missing?
its fine if you have the stats needed to equip the best armor already
I've pretty much given up on the game after Act 2.
Act 1 was fantastic.
Act 2 was good, but felt unfinished. Suddenly all those fun little exploration based treasures I was finding stopped being as common.
Act 3 on the other hand feels like it would be an insult to call it barebones, because it was even worse than that. I can't remember a single Blue item I found while exploring.
I think my biggest issue though aside from that was a combination of weird balance and odd a massive overabundance of Magical and Dexterity based gear. In Act 2, I basically had the same equipment through the entire Act. I found a Greatsword from those Gacha Identify loot boxes and never touched anything else through all of it. The two rings and necklace I found in Act 1? Never changed those. My Armor? Knight Armor except for the chest armor which I bought from the Blacksmith 10 minutes into Act 2. As STR and END I feel like I never got anything worth anything. And furthermore, the items I did get felt bizarrely weak. I found a Dual Wielding Ring that gave me 25% Damage while Dual Wielding. For STR and END stacking, I found a ring that gave me... 5 Health.
It was weird going into Act 3 with only a couple changes from Act 1.
The other issue I had was that this seemed even worse for Shields and One-Handers. I kept telling myself I would respec if I found a good Shield or a good One-Hander with STR and END but it never happened. For Shields, most of them gave buffs for Blocking. Which is hilariously shit. Even with all talent points put into Shields, they remain subpar compared to parrying, which wouldn't be that bad if they at least gave shields cooler skills and not just Block or more importantly, gave them cooler attacks. Shield Bash is garbage. Meanwhile NPCs with Shields get several different kinds of Shield attacks, one throws you to the ground, another charges at you. So Shield tends to just be a stat stick, except it's stats suck... It's depressing.
It's good for money so you can upgrade your gear, but it's easy to get insanely strong without fucking around with aiming for weakspots. I can one-shot everything as Dual Wield with my stats spread everywhere.
You don't need weak spot damage, practicality is more or less just there so you can exploit it and get infinite gold then respec into other attributes.
Holy fuck the issue with Shields and One-Handers. I 100% agree.
Act 2
I have several special shields
all of them only give bonuses to blocking
Blocking is fucking garbage
I have over 150 Stamina and Bosses still ruin my stamina bar when blocking despite having all Block Stamina Nodes and having a +7 shield with the highest Block rating I found which I wasted all of my Gold on
Shield bash is bad, just really really bad and a waste of stamina, even with the 3x damage shield node
NPCs with shields take fucking ages to kill and their shield bash knocks me on my ass (I wish I was that cool)
What's the point of this? The + doesn't show what it adds.
you cant guess that maybe it improves the only thing it does, the poison build up?
I just used practicality and two respec items to make 1 Million Gold as well as a billion really powerful foods and potions and buff items.
300 Stamina Regeneration a second
lol
The top half of Act 2 is 100% incomplete. There is barely anything out there. Just massive open land without nothing but a few stags running through it. No dungeons. No loot. Only a few quests but they come from other areas.
proof? I was there
Tainted grail reddit shill thread
No one actually likes this slop and it'll be quickly forgotten
I like it.
It's just that Act 3 is 100% unfinished while Act 2 feels only 70% finished and a love letter to mages.
Bring it, bitch
Well, I will not respec then
Shame, I really like the aesthetic
There's not enough insanely powerful respawning mobs just roaming around.
My build is too powerful that I basically don't get to fight anything.
I'm sorry
just sneak attack him with the instant kill token. problem solved
I'm really interested in the game, but I don't have a lot of time to play vidya these days. Can someone post a webm of actual gameplay? It's either this, E33, Roadcraft, or Forever Skies.
just pirate it and buy it with all the DLC on discount a year or two from now
Weird or some say Wyrdm
of course i was gonna pirate it
i just wanted to focus on one game at a time and let the others build up patches and updates. thanks for the advice tho
Man... Half way through act 2, 90% of the quests are broken in some way or another. I've got like 30 quests all unable to be completed. Or, well, I did complete, but they say they aren't.
This one for example, part of the main quest, it says talk to Neante about the corrupted temple, but I've already completed the Corrupted Temple and fixed her Soul. So now she just stands her all glitched out and I have no dialogue options with her. Most of the quests are like this.
Absolutely loving the game but it's a buggy unfinished mess. It's clear this game needed another year.
