Halo

lmao, nobody did that. Xbox sold fewer units than the Dreamcast.

manchildren need to grow up

*looks at your screen*

You are not happy.

ironic

shut the fuck up you will never experience kinda 90s kid sleep over LAN parties. You MISSED peak civilization.

Xbox sold fewer units than the Dreamcast.

What drugs are you on? The Gamecube sold more than the Dreamcast and that was third in the race.

this but cod 4 with 20 schoolmates in an internet cafe LANing

Many anons here weren't even born in 2001

Redditlon Bee

ask a millennial what his favourite childhood memories are

it's all just consooming this media, playing this vidya, nothing else

his nose looks really nice

We did that half a dozen times. We had eight people over for birthday parties and spent two days playing blood gulch ctf. At night we loaded up beach volleyball from the guy who's parents didn't give a fuck.

I host a LAN party with the boys every few months. A good amount of the time it feels like you are chasing a high that you're never going to recapture but sometimes you get just the right mix of people with the right game and the right atmosphere and it hits hard. Last few times have been:
Rocket League random queue
Quake 2 Team CTF
PayDay 2 DLC heists

I try to get Halo MCC going but it always feels like a shadow of itself of late.

That's surface level. The guy in the OP misses having friends.

you are all old and bitter

Roommate insists on never doing LAN for any of the games we play together

Shits up one of the few times I managed to corral various international pals (or internatiopals if you would) into a single gamer session all mic'd up

Gets mad that I was upset with him

Majority of people live a normal life, correct. What kind of memories do you expect them to have?

Nobody did that

They did, but faggots like you weren’t invited. I randomly matched a guy on Halo 2 Xbox Live who lived 3 miles away from my house and hosted LAN parties.

No you didn't lol. Nobody had xbox except amerilards

To clarify

Game we play together

Is a game we both play collectively.
Not a game that we actually play together.

I had a semi local game store which also had a forum I spend a lot of time on, they did a in store evening halo lan once. It was us(mostly early teens) vs the store owners/workers. We won since, well we were early teens against 30+ fucks.
Weird to think those poeple are pushing 60 now.

:(

We won since, well we were early teens against 30+ fucks.

Nah, you won because they fucking sucked. Good Halo is about weapon and resource control not twitch shooting (though not being shit at gamepad shooting is a plus).
t. 30+ fuck that regularly goes +20 on the leaderboard.

so it's literally quake then

Helldivers 2 is a better, more fleshed out version of Halo, prove me wrong.

Nah, in Quake you still need to actually land your shots. In Halo you memorize the spawn timers for every power weapon and the spawn locations for enemies and essentially starve them into only holding starting weapons so they are a minimal threat to you. I'm so effective in this in H2 that people regularly quit when facing against me on smaller maps and I'm not even a pro player.

Not even remotely the same kind of game faggot

HAWO
goo goo gaa gaa gehehehe

even remotely trying to imply quake doesn't revolve around camping the RPG and railgun and spawn camping the rest of the round

fuck off underage

for me it was custom games with xbox live friends
your friends were only cool if they wanted to play duckhunt and jenga

Did you read my first sentence? It was the first sentence for a reason. In Quake you will get jibbed by some sweaty fuck hopped up on red bull even if you hold the rocket (and probably end up killing yourself fucking up a rocket jump). Which gives younger players an advantage. In Halo you could literally be an aimbotting god but if you have a fucking SMG while I hold the sword and sniper you have no chance.

We did, and it was really fun.

If you are a zoomer then I have bad news for you.

It sounds more like you don't know how halo works.

Hypothetical presented was but I have the rail gun and gibbed you instead >:(

says the generation whose entire childhoods consisted of being glued to a smartphone and tablet

This, by the way, is why nuHalo has Batt starts and power weapons all have nerfs like a bunch of action delays baked into their use. When Halo was good if you faced a team that had the resource spawns locked down you would get fucked in the ass.

Who the fuck has favorite memories?
What even is this concept?
You realize such a phrase puts your own memories on the level of media you would consume right?

You try hard retards are so fucking cringe.

25 years later with its relevance completely eradicated and you arena faggots still think halo is the problem with current shooters

I still miss The Lost Continents.

I used to LAN Halo, Unreal Tournament 99,Quake 3 Arena, Counterstrike 1.6/Counter Strike Source in secondary school in the computer labs at lunch break and after class.

t. Faggot being loud about something they don't understand
There is a reason competitive Halo players' best friend is the map clock. In a game with gamepad autoaim as strong as Halo it is infinitely more important to have map control and team shot than twitch shooting, of which competitive Quake is one of the OG pillars of. I'm not saying weapon control doesn't matter in Quake you brainlet but it is apples and oranges.

i have favourite memories. i'm glad i have them. sucks to be you.

t. Faggot being loud about something they don't understand

That'd be you nigga lmao

Yeah, I'm the one LARPing knowing what the fuck he's talking about.
Picture unrelated, just me winning a match with half of my teammates quitting out after going negative on Lockout using the map control I'm talking about.

I still do lan parties with my buddies, even though is not really optimize or necessary is still a lot of fun.

We play a lot of empire earth casually, sometimes they come to my house with their laptop and we play all the afternoon and then in the night we have some drinks.

The fact that you can play online easily today shouldn't deter you from making this plans with your friends

catselfie.jpg - 700x696, 323.17K

Yeah. People are pack animals.

Why? I am comfy.

Who the fuck has favorite memories?

Most people?

I remember still a LAN party with friends, reaching the boss of Egypt in Diablo 2 and everyone running like retards between town portals because how much he kicked our asses till the paladin had the idea to shield bash it and we were able to damage it while abusing the knockback.
My best multiplayer experience ever.
