Seen any Morrowind Threads
HAHAHAHA
Seen any Morrowind Threads
AAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
I never got that joke
have you seen my RING?
I always assumed it was ironic because there are elves all over the place.
It's either them making fun of your height because nords are one of the tallest races or referring to the fact that they're in the homeland of the dark elves so elves are everywhere
The joke is that Nords are literally dumber than Orcs and that's reflected in their poor sense of humor
it's very telling that when there's a dry spell of official Elder Scrolls content, the game Anon Babble naturally gravitates towards the most (in general) is Morrowind.
Skyrim is for porn mods, Oblivion is for memes and laughing at bizarre hilarious NPC behavior, Morrowind is for lore and immersion. Daggerfall is pretty much exclusively for contrarians, because god knows nobody's favorite game is Arena, Redguard, Battlespire, or god forbid Blades
I wish I was playing morrowind right now
Morrowind is getting threads recently because a huge mod (Tamriel Rebuilt) just came out
i am going to kill every nord female in the game i fucking hate their voice lines so much
What makes that smell?
I played a female Nord once, for all of about a minute after leaving the Census and Excise office. That fucking scream you make sometimes when you get hit is unbearable.
AIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It'd be like an Swede meeting a Finn in Toronto and saying "Seen any Indians"? It's ironic.
Try playing a Dunmer Woman
STOOPID
I hate N'werhs so much it's unreal
You don't like Lynda Carter?
You like to dance close to the fire, don't you
Morrowind threads will never not be based.
hey, a free hat
Morrowind is getting threads recently because a huge mod (Tamriel Rebuilt) just came out
What a grand and intoxicating innocence.
A misattribution of popularity to a mod being made/released (piecemeal) when it is in fact the inverse. No such mods for Oblivion, Skyrim, or even Daggerfall. Do you suppose you know the reason why?
We've consistently had the most high quality threads on Anon Babble the past few weeks thanks to TR, I hope it continues
kek
Because they're already good games and don't need more content.
They were working on TR before Morrowind ever released. Whether it's a good game or not has nothing to do with it.
It's an autism project.
I've been posting Morrowind threads since the beginning of Anon Babble and they rarely do as well as they've done these past weeks.
It's a combination of factors, not just TR (but that's a big one). New games all being kind of shit means for the first time in a long time Anon Babble is finally backlog diving, for one. Live Service games are struggling and even the average Anon Babbleirgin is waking up to the realities of it.
apparently not that much of one considering it's been over 20 years and it's still not done.
They haven't even finished mainland Morrowind.
The Nerevarine said this
Don't like the chadification of Vivec. He's a poet, he should have a more elegant face.
They were working on TR before Morrowind ever released
This would make a good story, but that's not really true. There were people planning to do it before release, true, but the main bulk of the work (and more importantly the way they're organized today) started much later.
Forbidden lore
having the chewed off dick of molag bal on your back
diabolical
What's TR like, anyway?
it's like morrowind
What level of the iceberg do you think that is on?
Who wouldn't?
You see someone silently falling down to his death you may as well yell for your own amusement.
I have never played much attention to the Morrowind lore.
Why does Vivec have a cursed dunmer half and an uncursed chimer half?
I know that he's based on a Hindu deity whose whole thing is having two halves, one male and one female, but I want to know what the in game explanation is
giving the total overhaul omw list a play through after playing vanilla for a good 5 or 6 hours yesterday. was the first time I played in forever
it runs like shit but looks a lot better i guess
But why sound like a male wood elf no matter what your race or gender? Did the Nerevarine decide to mock Tarhiel in death?
it transcends icebergs into another plane of reality. that piece be granted chim
All wood elves deserve mockery desu
sovlless
what's the deep lore behind bitches standing stock still in the same place, never moving or eating or sleeping or pissing?
especially the ones who aren't even at a table or lectern or anything so you can't even abstract out that they're "working"
name five games where npcs piss
The nerverine also spoke for every deadric prince
23 years later we're still discussing what todd and Kirkbride meant by this
That sounds like something someone with edible flesh would say
Why do you yell?
He is Tarhiel, Bosmer. He will not yell. I will yell for him
All 3 have divine power so they can resist the curse as they wish. Almalexia is vain so she rejects it totally and retains a golden Chimer appearance. Sotha Sil doesn't give a fuck about that shit so he let himself go full dark. Vivec made himself half and half to reflect his dual nature. If you read up on Vivec you see he has a bright, noble side and a dark and dirty side, the former part is exemplified by his good deeds for his people, heroism in battle and erudite love of poetry, and the latter part is exemplified by his close association with Mephala, a Daedra who represents darkness, deception and murder.
The Sims
The Sims 2
The Sims 3
The Sims 4
Urbz: Sims in the City
well done
I think that makes sense, the Daedra temporarily posesses you and speaks to you though you. Seems like pretty standard god fuckery. It's the Tarhiel one that's the real mystery.
Question: Does this also happen for Dagoth Ur's lines when you enter his citadel?
Like an actual Morrowind expansion instead of the BULLSHIT RUSHJOB we got.
does the wind only blow north with Stormrider?
K I N O
I
N
O
name 5 games
names "the sims" 5 times
good job idiot
where do you want it to blow?
only south
Muh dick lmao gotten
Now do a kickflip while grinding into a pop shove it 360
Chim is the only way to explain the nerevarine speaking for all sorts. None of it makes sense so we'll just make up shit like dragon breaks and chim.
The deep lore is that only surface level idiots actually think NPCs walking around doing all that stuff is inherently immersive. Ask an NPC where another one is and he doesnt know, cant ask if you have seen him come into the guild today or not, but hes walking around somewhere, nope cant ask that, we need all dialog to be voiced so cant pay voice actors to give actual directions or put in the work to link dialog with NPCs doing meaningless menial tasks, just walk around until you find them, or maybe your on a quest and theres a marker for them so you can find them while they are sitting on the toilet, so immersive!.
oops you talked to the NPC at 8am but he doesnt sell his goods until 8:30 am despite being in the spot he sells stuff. is it bugged? Is he the actual vendor or is it another one? He doesnt even say to come back and buy at a certain time the dialog related to buying doesnt exist. cant even ask about where the vendor is. Need to go to a third party website nad look up what the deal is to figure out its not the right time and need to wait an hour. Oh but he was brushing his teeth like 30 minutes ago, wow so immersive.
profound post
We shall speak for the law
and
the LAND
I'm making a new character, but I want your help Anon Babble. This will be a single save file character and if he/she dies I will delete them. If any game-breaking bug happens I just gotta deal with it. I'll also be avoiding any exploits or stuff that I feel is cheesy (kinda arbitrary but whatever).
You guys can give me an easy run or put me through hell. Let's start with skills, the first five (You)s decide which Major Skills I tag. If we get more than five, the following replies will be Minor Skills.
Why yes, I do listen to the extended Conan OST while I play Morrowind, how could you tell?
spear
*blocks you're path*
They do things (including peepee and poopoo) when you aren't looking. When you show up to where they are supposed to be they just happen to be there, every time. It's called fate.
Mysticism
Athletics
I don't think this looks better than the base game to be completely honest
Medium armor
How do I make my guy not hold a spear like a faggot?
Avoid obivously gamebreaking shits like enchanting/spellmaking and especially alchemy loops. Play it like your PC actually would.
My're path?!!?
My're NEET daedric wife, Azura
Conjuration
RAISE
YOUR
GAMMA
Not man enough to handle Lynda Carter?
spear, mysticism, athletics, medium armor
anons giving you an OP argonian build.
Only metagamers should ever pick conjuration. It's rightfully seen as the trashiest school of magic by everyone in the setting except the bitch ass thalmors.
What race anon?
Yiff in hell.
I will now play morrowind again
instantly pick high magicka specs, attronach sign
instantly go to balmora, start cooking up custom spells
instantly start teleporting all over collecting spells and alchemy ingredients
help me
How does the average tribunal worshipper react to the news that their gods were killed by a slave race high on skooma?
What race anon?
Argonian of course
You have to kill anyone who sees you draw it, it's the only way
stabs you in the dick with a bound spear
See?
its just an ironic joke over the fact that we are in a land where elves are an absolute majority. its also just a bit of a cheeky racist joke. kind of like if your uncle stood by a pride parade and said "seen any fags around? hahahaha!"
What the fuck is a metagamer and why do you hate conjuration?
Imagine all that empty gray boring landscape except there's way more of it and when you finally find a city the game drops to the single digits because modders never heard of moderation
morrowind has been having daily threads for weeks because of tamriel rebuilt.
i only ever pick redguard, nord, and orc. they all despise conjuration especially the anuic redguards.
Imagine needing somebody else to do the fighting for you.
there's levels to it
having someone reading a book, sitting at a desk writing nonsense, fiddling with things, sorting a shelf etc. is a lot more immersive even though it doesn't really make any more sense for them to eternally be doing THAT... but it's better than them being utterly stock still.
There's a sliding scale between "text only, all action is implied and you must imagine it" to "painstakingly lovingly programmed genuinely realistic human behavior" and it's okay to wish that scale was nudged just a LITTLE BIT further towards the latter
I think summoning is kino.
fair enough
I installed a mod to save tarhiel and help him create a completed version of the Icarian Flight spell. I used a companion mod to make him follow me and put him up in Fargoth's house while Fargoth adventures with me- he provides spellmaking and enchantment services in this mod too. I also have a furniture mod that adds empty houses that you can buy and furnish. There's a nice little 2 story house in Seyda Neen, on the same road that Tarhiel lands on actually. When I got enough money I bought it and set up an enchanter's lab for Tarhiel and gifted it to him. Now Tarhiel makes all my enchanted gear and custom spells.
AI will fix this I hope
Genuinely would like to have more natural conversations with NPCs where they can provide basic information like that
The Telvanni chick who makes your stronghold tells you to conjure things for easy access to high quality souls. Telvanni don't give a fuck.
Yeah, I want to play it in a heavily RP'd style. No going straight for OP items/gold that I know exist in the world. Might consult anons on which guild to do.
You merely adopted the dark, I was born in it!
I'll ask you guys for race once the skills have been chosen. I thought it would be funny to leave the race choice after skills so someone could stroll along and gimp our entire setup with a funny selection. So far you guys have picked some interesting options!
Let's get some Minor Skill choices in here and then we can move on to Race and Birthsign.
At least it is a school, unlike restoration
at a certain point it's on us as gamers to have self control and take the game more seriously and abuse systems less
it's like playing a board game and adhering to the rules... you don't HAVE to, you can do anything you want, you can move your piece as many spaces as you want, choose the winning outcome of any chance-based thing, give yourself free resources... it's playing within the strict ruleset that makes it "fun" and ultimately separates us from monkeys
or idk maybe I'm just retarded, feel free to ignore me
kek just now realized it says woe upon you like the scrolls
The radiant AI in Oblivion was cool but it also wasnt tuned very well, like if you wait for a shop to open, the shop owner doesnt just immediately appear at the shop, you have to wait for them to walk to the appropriate spot so you can buy for them
NEVER put athletics or acrobatics as a major skill you will level up so fast you will utterly break the game FAST
Restoration
home of the "Fortify yourself into a God" spells
not a school
the radiant AI in Oblivion was the most soul ever delivered in a game
alchemy
yeah, eso vivec is atrocious. he needs to simply look like an androgynous man but with a gaunt, alien like face.
If restoration is a real school of magic, how come neither House Telvanni nor Mages Guild recognizes it as such?
Acrobatics
and when you finally find a city the game drops to the single digits
are you still on the PC you originally played the game on in 2002? how the fuck are you losing frames in morrowind
old and rushed game made by like 30 people
mercantile or security, flip a coin.
also, i might add, i think this divine vivec mod captures concept art vivec very well.
NTA but I've never seen anyone get 60+ FPS in those modded cities. The modders have no idea what an 'optimization' is.
khajiit has no time for you
How the fuck do you think Telvanni wizards live so fucking long? Mysticism?
Necromancy, which is why they recognize conjuration but the guild doesn't, choosing alchemy instead.
Mysticism does have Absorb Health.
Have you wondered where all the kids are? Telvanni wizards absorb their youth and take it for themselves.
Yes.
Speechcraft
are there any OpenMW AND Tamriel Rebuilt mods that alter skills to be damage/magicka cost buffs rather than accuracy/cost chance buffs?
Fyr's clone daughterwives have now taken on another layer of "fucked up"
Illusion
Nah you're right it's restoration.
Telvanni pseuds love to act like they're working with some dark arts when really they just specced into every other school including restoration, while the warrior might've only specced into restoration.
He went to the effort of training them to be skilled in magic and combat. He isn't eating his other selves.
MOURNHOLD
I made an orc and they’re huge. Crazy how scrawny the other races are.
Gaenor
some dark arts
Huh? Necromancy is perfectly fine by them and not even shunned so long as you use appropriate targets (not Dunmer). It's literally the same type of magic they use for their sacred rites on their ancestors, just applied for selfish purposes on dead n'wahs.
It's like walking into modern Anon Babble and asking "seen any retards?"
He's got the adrenochrome grindset. He makes vampires say "that's too far bro".
CITY OF MUH DICK
City of Light
City of Faggots
Conjuration is a dark art
Destruction is a dark art
turns jiub into locke from lost
correct
Restoration alteration and illusion are the only good ones. Mysticism shouldn't even be a school.
Gothic chads had it figured out over 20 years ago
It should always serve gameplay - like open new timings to steal shit. But then, you also can always wake NPC up and return quest
i cannot understand how someone can play with these face mods. so incredibly garish
Anon, think about it
His daughters namea are based on Alpha, Beta, Delta, and a mistake(?) Uupsie
At the very least, Gamma got eaten
illusion
good
It's the darkest of arts.
Mysticism shouldn't even be a school.
It's the only legitimate school of magic. Everything else is just larping as wizard from fantasy books.
Where are all the toilets in Morrowind? Does everyone just go in the designated shitting canton?
Everybody knows the only true magic is Enchanting.
There are NO honourable uses of Illusion magic
Please tell me there is a mod that allows you to use items without automatically equipping them, its driving me nuts.
I have cool constant effects, but they auto unequip when i use other things
Well I use illusion to sneak around NPCs so it's not a dark art
Mysticism's benefits could be split into enchanting and every other school of magic. Forreal any mysticism spell you can name I could categorize into another school more betterer
Calm creature, light, and sanctuary can be honorable. The rest are pretty tough.
I'm only on a 3070TI and my PC doesn't even come close to struggling anywhere in TR.
The people have spoken. These are Anon's skill choices! There's only a few more things to decide:
Poll for race selection.
Reply to this post with
Male or female
Combat, Stealth, Magic specialization
Two favored attributes
Whichever Specialization and gender is chosen the most gets picked, and I'll go with whatever two favored attributes are posted by the anon with the highest DIGITS.
OpenMW or MWSE? Because the latter is buttery smooth but looks like shit compared to the former, which tanks FPS like crazy.
Female redguard
lets make it hard for em
OMW
I always thought it was weird how Knights have Illusion instead of Restoration in Oblivion. It's the most dishonorable school there is.
Female orc, stealth, luck and endurance
male stealth khajiit
Not him but I've had the total opposite experience, MWSE/MGE runs like complete shit and OpenMW runs TR perfectly fine.
Female
Combat
Luck and Agility
Really? Post a screenshot in Narsis with your FPS stats please; I'm curious as to how. F3 two or three times I think.
male, stealth, luck and endurance
Rally, probably.
The real reason is having the social skills removed. Knight in Daggerfall used to have Etiquette as a primary skill and no magic skill at all.
Damn no Bosmer for fucking you over with a ranger build.
female/combat/speed and luck
I totally forgot to put Bosmer on the list (Fargoth would be ashamed) but I'll note that it's got one vote.
Female
Magic
Conjuration
Spear
True, I guess Restoration in MW was a result of Medical being removed.
Yeah I sold it and I stole your money too fucker
Etiquette was a giant useless meme good for nothing.
Restoration was in Daggerfall too and it was almost unchanged between games.
Medical is just the shittier non-magical version in case you don't want to use magic to heal.
Just like Security is the shittier Alteration in Morrowind.
You can actually save this guy and if you do the game pops up a picture of boobs
i think i hate everything about morrowind but the worldbuilding and dialogue
weebs just dont have the capacity to get it. you cant help it, really.
his dialogue in AFFresh is funny
Half the skills are a giant meme in Daggerfall. Even when they work as intended, and that's not to be taken for granted.
the 40 fucking language skills always got me, since you'll still just whack the monster anyways
Yes those are the best parts of morrowind. They are they best of the medium. I don't rate Morrowinds combat or exploration at all but the game still offers an experience unlike any other.
Those do work, if you try to make them work (pick them at creation and/or train them).
The idea behind them is befriending monsters in the dungeon and using them to fight other monsters. Or, at the very least, making them passive so you can ignore them. Think of them as a passive conjuration skill.
they work, but my point was when you turn the corner and see a monster you just start swinging even if your skill passed and it's non-hostile
thye never fight for you to my knowledge
Graffiti is dark art too
Language skills at least were useful to make hostile characters neutral, meanwhile etiquette was for absolutely nothing beyond roleplay as a knight that every commoner insulted and ignored when asking for directions
They do, I can make Lord Dremoras into my bitches by just talking to them with 43 points of daedric language and 100 luck
Can you not talk to them? Or maybe that was a mod for unity and I'm just misremembering things.
UESP fact checking you says you're full of shit
No it just makes them passive but you can't even tell unless you just kind of loiter and wait to see if they're going to attack you or not
How's the telvanni content in TR anyways
No you can't, it just pacifies them
was gonna vote bosmer but you left it out
Old and it shows plus there's not a lot of it, you're better off sticking west of Old Ebonhearth with the exception of Firewatch and Helnim
Just installed Tamriel Rebuilt what level is the content intended to be played at?
May had been a mod then
Going through a generic dorf fort with low level bandits inside
Get to a really fucking cool hall with cave ins and water
Think I'm gonna get lots to explore here
No lol that's literally it, nothing to do here other than a few dwemer coins in the water chest :^)
Blue balled yet again
any and all
From 1 to 15, go to Old Ebonheart
first two bosmer you encounter in the game is this guy and a fucking Fargoth
What a joke of a race
not him, but my FPS doesn't go below 60 in narsis on a 3060 ti. I have door preload and shadows disabled.
1 to whatever you want
Slow levelling mod is a good idea, you will surely get too strong even when using it, amount of content is enormous
Yeah that was my bad, I'm not racist against Wood elves I swear. That would put them at 2 votes from you and another anon. Here's the results of the race poll.
5 female votes
2 male votes
Seems like we're making a BLACK KWEEN for this playthrough.
3 stealth specialization votes
2 combat specialization votes
1 magic specialization vote
And finally, our lucky anonwith the highest digit post picked out the favored attributes. Luck and Agility.
Last poll! Decide the Birthsign.
Reply to this post if you want to pick out a name for our
Female Redguard.
I'll go with the highest digit post that comes first.
I spent like 10 minutes here thinking SURELY theres someting.
It's balanced like vanilla Morrowind. You can go on a fresh lvl1 character
be hyper intelligent mage
realize you can make a short duration jump spell at excessive magnitudes if the duration is short enough
prepare yourself with your slowfall spell
jump
travel across all of morrowind
time to land
cast your snowfall
spellcasting failed
AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE
Tarhiel was originally going to be argonian. His ID name is actually "Agronian guy" (sic). I think he's funnier as a wood elf.
He is Tarhiel, Bosmer. He will not yell. I will yell for him
There's content for both high and low levels
It's implied that you'll spend a little time playing in Vvardenfell and move to mainland through one of the new quests, but there's nothing stopping you from starting on mainland
Tarhiel has no skills for alteration, only restoration. He didn't even think to use slowfall.
It's morrowind but better, unironically. Interesting writing, interesting world building and there's usually several ways to finish a quest. It's probably the best mod ever, especially the new stuff is amazing. How this is possible considering the state of the modding community is a conundrum.
There is a piece of unique loot in the ruins
It's not in the hall, it's in a random fucking closet in another dead end generic room
Restoration
He thought he could tank it and then heal, poor guy
Fatima
direnni cuirass and bracers + adamantium boots and pauldrons + militia helmet
rate the look
Not even, the restoration was just to fortify acrobatics, I don't think he even considered the landing, he was so focused on the jump
Ugly as a sin
Hlaalu, Bal Foyen and Narsis in general are the best areas in any TES game with mods and all.
Very very satisfying if you're roleplaying an anti-Dunmer nwah ready to subvert them from within.
The disposition boost with Arrille makes giving him his ring back a far better investment if you want a boost at the beginning of the game
That's the most wholesome story I've heard all month anon.
dope. the weird high fantasy axe looks kinda retarded though
the restoration was just to fortify acrobatics
Holy fuck, he really was the most based of them all
These threads have given me the itch hardcore to really get back into Morrowind, I remember when I was young my parents both bought my sister and I new Dell computers for school (they were black instead of beige, it was incredible) and I probably spent a thousand hours playing my burned copy of Morrowind. All this Tamriel Rebuilt buzz got me nostalgic so I dropped a couple thousand on a new Dell and I'm gonna play the SHIT out of this game again. I just hope a 5070 and a Ultra 9 285K can handle the entirety of TR.
looks good
close up
You can have your cake and eat it too. Give him the ring, get the boost from Arrille, get the quest to rob him from Hrisskar, and he stashes the ring in the stump so you can steal it again. Then don't even talk to the nord faggot again and keep all the money.
5070
lol absolutely it will. if anything its kinda overkill. only places that run kinda badly for me are old ebonheart and narsis kinda, but im on a 3070.
Mage oriented start with skills and attributes
All levelups increase int and will
I still cant cast four fucking spells without going out of mana
I get that I'm increasing the strength of whatever I am casting from time to time, hence the cost too but this is really not fucking satisfying. Restore magicka pots being impossible to fucking craft also doesn't help
Ty anon. Tarhiel likes his house and has been an invaluable asset to me on my quest.
I wish there was a good vanity mod like in Skyrim.
That's very true, I wasn't thinking that far ahead
blurry ass
I think the CPU is what really matters. Either way your GPU is strong enough to run lossless scaling on OpenMW's windowed mode. Trust me, there's no reason not to pirate it if you dont want to pay the $6.
Is there a point to raw ebony in TR, this shit is way too heavy for the value it sells for and all its alchemical uses are pure trash despite the fact about ebony being extremely important and valuable in the world??? I know that you can actually craft stuff in that one DLC but those are not unique anyways
fuck off
My favourite part about TR and other Morrowind mods is that it actually has many things that were previously only in lore
All those Khajiit sub races, creatures from redguard and battlespire and random stuff like mentioning space colonies
TR and PT have a much more fleshed out view of Tamriel than Bethesda has ever had so you may meet some Breton or Altmer that will have a well-developed culture and unique style behind them
We still haven't got Hammerfell mod yet but Reduards already has a bunch of character and culture just from random NPCs, merchants and ships
install openmw 0.49
get total overhaul pack
walk off boat
jittery 30fps
Wtf. I have a 3070 and a 5900x. I tried so many graphics options, disabling shaders, view distance to 1, diabled shadows, barely anything made a difference.
try just morrowind expanded
surely it was just the new graphics fucking me.
40fps
disable all the shaders
55fps
........ I guess.
it's important because it creates the best class of armor and weapon materials behind Daedric, which is inaccessible to most Tamrielites anyway.
t.
He truly was. If you look at it objectively, Tarhiel is perhaps the greatest enchanter that ever lived. No one knows how he was able to cram such a powerful fortify enchant onto those scrolls. The scrolls of Icarian Flight are the most powerful enchanted item in the game, stronger in magnitude than even "artifact" scrolls like the scroll of fiercely roasting, with more power behind them than even daedric artifacts.
Other scrolls you can find are pretty powerful, like scroll of the wind walker, but they are dwarfed by the scroll of Icarian flight.
Tarhiel deserves more than his reputation as a bumbler who killed himself with an ill conceived spell. He's a flawed genius who simply flew too close to the sun.
total overhaul pack
Go for expanded vanilla, the total overhaul looks fucking awful
I'm gonna make a female bosmer hunter that uses swords and bows
is this a bad idea or can I make it work?
Dude, you're getting a Dell!
A short duration high magnitude spell is easy enough to make though? Even you can do it.
Why didn't they remake morrowind? Too hard?
That's what I did and it still runs like hot garbage.
This is my first time actually playing, and the overhaul graphics immediately didn't feel right
Pick short blades so you can use Jinkblades and proc paralyze then get range and shoot again
Lowball a merchant a couple times
The barter screen closes, says I've commited a crime and stole stuff
????
I own it on Steam but I'm gonna use my old pirated copy for nostalgia's sake, I still have my ancient burned discs
zoomies would need quest markers which would make the map feel too small.
Playing melee bosmer is pretty painful but you can make it work
Although you'd probably just kill everything with a bow
They need to completely rewrite dialogues and rework quests to make it accessible to a modern audience
get fucked, outlander
You tried to sell him his own merchandise.
I like it. We only had a couple picks for birthsign so I spun the wheel between the two options people picked. I'll post Fatima's character sheet and autistic backstory here shortly.
You managed to close the screen and pressed your activate key and stole something that was lying on the table
i wonder who could be behind this post
You couldn't even fit a short duration high magnitude spell of THAT magnitude on an ebony staff. The fortify amount is 1000 for 7 seconds.
Go to inn
So much smoke that you think the monitor settings are fucked
Multiple customers gambling, pipes and moon sugars on the tables
Innkeeper refuses service because I have moon sugar
The fuck
Their "all TES games are their own separate setting from one another and our mod aims to specifically depict the one from the Morrowind era" rule drives them to dig really deep into the old stuff, a lot of their planned Skyrim/High/Hammerfell shit draws from those obscure Travels games from the 2000s for instance, and their infinite time in virtue of it all being a mod allows them to implement it
Contrast this with ESO or that shitty card game, which feel like they were largely developed by people who only ever played the big 3 games (but mostly just Skyrim and Oblivion), some of whom are willing to spice things up with the odd Kirkbride text or Pocket Guide entry thing (thus fooling a legion of fanboys into believing the former game is somehow comparable to Morrowind in lore quality)
I was pleasantly surprised when I could sell sugar to the bartender in Bal Foyens skooma den, not skooma though, but I suppose that's for a later quest
I kneel. before the only productive member of these Morrowind threads
scroll of Icarian flight
flew too close to the sun
Woah...
22 years to figure that brain teaser out, huh
Morrowind has such high quality lore!
90% of the "lore" is bullshit Vivec made up or conflicting accounts of historical events
Talk to any NPC in Morrowind and now think for a moment that they would have to make all that dialogue voiced and you have one of many answer about why a remake is impossible without AI, but they aren't going to use AI
pretty
kitty
special
friend
Not many games transparently lie to the player then have the confidence to expect them to cross reference in-game material and piece it together themselves.
wait until you find out how real life lore and myth is created lol youre gonna freak!
Mostly agree but I'll give ESO some credit for at least trying to make something out of TES
It's mostly pretty bad but they've been put in a terrible position and did the best they could for the most part
They even mentioned Cyrodiil being the jungle
I would probably play it if it wasn't so expensive
don't overdo it, dumbass. you got your 15 mins of fame, now get lost.
but they aren't going to use AI
why not? theres nothing stopping them
Because every voice actor would chimp out at them
Did your momma drop you on your head a lot or are you just naturally stupid?
Just have the AI use Todd's voice for every single character. Problem solved.
who gives a shit? what power do they have? im not even a pro-AI guy or anything but i just dont give a fucking shit. i personally dont care about VA anyway in RPG's, but if the normies need it to get into morrowind, then i'd be down with that.
concession request has been received and accepted.
it just works
it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that this photoshopped and not an actual picture of todd goofing around
photoshopped?
That's all natural, then?
this photoshopped
That's what they want you to believe
No one wants you to know what happened to his high school bullies
I bet you think this is shopped too
Do the skills matter in terms of getting them to 100 right away/getting attributes to 100 right away?
I was planning on doing picrel since I have no idea what to do with like 4 of the skills outside of melee/some magic
The mages' guild supply chests have restore magicka potions in them for free. They're not very good once you get to casting properly expensive spells, but they help you go longer without resting.
What do the "greater" versions of mark and recall do
Nord
You can forget about magic either way
is that from a multiple mark mod?
Why? I just want to bash shit in the fact and use magic to do everything else for utility
it's a modded version of the spell
Allows you to put multiple marks
Major skills get a big boost to their starting level and also level up a lot quicker. Minor skills also get boosts to their starting level and exp gain, but it's smaller than major skills. If you want to rush certain skills to 100 quickly it's useful to have them as Major skills. Your attributes will level slower because you'll be advancing character levels rapidly and not getting as many skill levels per character level, but contrary to what zoomers and e-celebs think it doesn't really matter. You'll still break the game by 10.
Nords are the second worst mages after Redguards
Even Orcs are better
That's more of an Oblivimeme concern
I think male orcs are just as bad as nords
Female orcs get the intelligence buff
that pic
Should we have listened?
We could have saved him
Don't fall for its tricks
It's just trying to sell you skyrim
It's useless to dwell on the past, he's a changed man now
born in Hammerfell as the only child of a fisherman and his wife
trained by her father as a SPEARfisher to help out with the family business
had to learn from an early age how to deal with haggling customers at the shop
coastal life introduced her to many new cultures early on in life, had to adapt and be personable
big dreams of sailing the open seas
finally gets her wish when she's older, but a terrible storm leaves her stranded on an island off the coast of her homeland
when she's on the verge of starvation she meets an old hermit on the island who takes her in
find out he's a daedra worshipping weirdo and a mage to boot
skeptical, but open minded due to her upbringing and the fact he saved her life
spend months on the island learning the arts of Mysticism, Conjuration and dabbling in Illusion and Alchemy
eventually a ship comes along to the island and she gives her farewell to the hermit, pledging service to a new captain
these aren't just normal sailors, these are scumbag shithead pirates
they take her in and she acts as muscle for the Captain, blessed by the sign of the Warrior from birth
their thirst for plunder takes them to the waters of the Cyrodiil coast to the south, where their villainy is brought to an end and much of the crew is killed, with those who surrendered being taken prisoner to the Imperial City...
In the waning years of the Third Era, a prisoner born on a certain day to uncertain parents was sent under guard, without explanation, to Morrowind, ignorant of the role she was about to play in that nation's history...
starring Debra Wilson
Thanks for helping me make this character, bros. I tried to work in the skills you picked out into her backstory. It's time to see if Fatima has what it takes to fulfill prophecy, or if she's merely destined to become another failed Nerevarine.
Well what's better for nord if I want to kill things, going security/speechcraft or going illusion/mysticism/alteration for locks/traps/charm
How to choose major and minor skills properly?
Can a Breton work as a somehow hybrid build with support spells? Their stats looks like ass for trying to melee and low endurance to boot.
Something like Long Blades, Medium armor, Mysticism, Alteration, Restoration?
Is Armorer essential in this one or having it as a misc skill enough?
I'm assuming her story arc will have her accept that spears are worthless and embracing her natural talent in the exquisite art of LONG BLADE?
Go full unga bunga and just buy scrolls and potions, maybe invest in enchanting
Stealth archer
Why do people hate the Tribunal expansion again? So far it's been full of the good stuff from the base game like political intrigue and conflicts within conflicts plus it has a nice artstyle. Much better than Bloodmoon.
NTA but are non long or shortblade weapons shit even in TR
made a new character, gonna try and RP as some sort of sailor, sabres and hand-to-hand only
Stat blob enemies, disconnected from the rest of the world and generally feels like a mod instead of official content. Bloodmoon solved two of those.
because it has retarded stat bloated enemies, insanely bad level design and littered to hell and back with bugs
Yeah, I'm finding TR very good. A lot of it feels like the vanilla game, that's really hard to pull off. The fact Morrowind is mostly text helps a lot.
Compare that to the mods included with Skyrim SE. It sucks. Like the Golden Saint armor mod? The plot has NPCs handing you notes to read, wtf. It really blows ass.
the city is the prototype for all the modern bethesda cities using interior cells
shitty city design even ignoring it's all build with interior cells
terrible integration with the base game
godawful enemy and gear balancing
disappointing conclusion
People will call me a shitposter or whatever but TES games have consistently always had one good expansion and one bad one, and the bad one is ALWAYS the last one. Like Shivering Isles is pure, concentrated fucking bullshit. Absolute garbage. KotN was incredible. Tribunal? Incredible, while Bloodmoon was fucking nonsense. Skyrim almost broke the mold because I don't consider Dragonborn bad, it's just that Dawnguard was better.
But yeah, Tribunal was great. Intriguing from start to finish. Bloodmoon was a slog and didn't even have interesting lore to fall back on.
The werewolves were way tankier than anything else in the game. Those little fuckers casting reflect all the time were also annoying.
I could see this happening. I don't even remember where I've seen magical spears in all of vanilla Morrowind. I have TR now so maybe they'll have some. Assuming she lives long enough to make it to that point. For now, it's all about old faithful and maybe finding someone to teach her how to use her Conjuration skills to make a bound spear.
i don't believe major/minor skills affect the rate they level up, i think only your specialization affects that. that being said the improved success rate will let you level them more effectively.
People will call me a shitposter
You said it.
i don't believe major/minor skills affect the rate they level up
Believe what you wish, that's how the game works.
Technically Heartfire was the worst Skyrim expansion and it was the second one
Does it count as an expansion? It's in the same category as Dragonborn and Dawnguard, so I consider it so
Hearthfire was probably one of those "game jam" ideas or cut content from the main game. I don't consider it an expansion personally.
if you are autistic, maybe you would consider it that, but do you count the horse armor dlc as an expansion like knights of the nine and shivering isles?
I really wouldn't either but it even has achievements connected to it
literally wearing the ring that kills you if your aren't Nerevar
still spend 5 hours having to doing random bullshit for every ashlander nigger to convince them you are nerevar
my least favourite stretch of the game
i think that's how it works in oblivion but i'm not really seeing it mentioned on the morrowind section of the UESP
Did those get official achievements? I doubt it, even in the remaster
nvm i read harder and found it
Every skill requires 100 points to level and every action grants a flat amount towards skill up regardless if it's major, minor or miscallenous skill, The only difference between them is how high they start as and if they contribute to total level up.
And by "those" I mean the horse armor/mage's tower, stuff of that nature
Nights of the Nine and Shivering Isles did
Bethesda considers all official DLCs as addons, even AE mods
mod that allows you to loot Almalexia's armor from the sexy almalexia mod
the armor isn't light even though it's basically bikini armor
Garbage.
How the heck do you deal with ghosts that resist your magics
You need some heavy metal to hold up those tits
Silver+ weapons
Get yourself a summoned weapon
I feel like Tribunal doesn't have a strong internal hook to keep the player following along with the questlines. You go to Mournhold to deal with the assassins, and both the Temple and the Monarchy both string you along doing bullshit tasks and condescending to you the whole while. Most of the time, players who go to Tribunal will have beaten the main quest and probably a few guild quests, so they're usually pretty high level, but all the quest-givers in Tribunal fob bitch-work off onto you and never give you straight answers, to the point that you're asking, "What am I even doing here? I know Helseth sent the assassins after me, so why am I working for him? He's not even paying me. I don't care about the monarchy." It doesn't help that Mournhold is supposed to be the capital of House Indoril but apart from the Ordinators, there are no members of the House at all. In fact it's weirdly cosmopolitan given that it's like the Forbidden City of Almalexia. There's a sort of dissonant glibness to Tribunal's writing that I find off-putting. Nobody is taking things seriously, while Morrowind's main quest has a sort of earnestness to it that I find charming. As you're going along with the MQ of Morrowind, you're learning about the various peoples and beliefs of Morrowind and find yourself changing with the land as you grow into the role of Nerevarine. The conflict in Tribunal, by contrast, feels very one-note. You have the centralizer Helseth who wants to gather power into his hands, even if it means breaking the Houses and the Temple, and Almalexia gone mad with the loss of her divinity, and that's pretty much it. It doesn't help that after you kill Almalexia, every single person in the world thinks you're crazy for killing her, even Nibani Maesa, when the whole point of the prophecies is that you'd "Free the cursed false gods."
I liked Tribunal a lot when I was younger, but every time I play it I notice niggling little flaws that put a bad taste in my mouth.
Yes yes, any simulation will need a certain level of abstraction to be at all practicle, but that doesn't mean a more detailed simulation isn't more immersive
Silver or enchanted weapons
blast them with a fireball
This might be one of the first pictures I ever saw on the internet.
it seems as though it does, i'm personally surprised.
every self respecting mage should have an enchanted pimp staff to beat ghosts with
I wanna adventure as Johnny Bravo
See a cool castle on a tiny island during my coastal cruise
Oh, it's filled with skeletons and bone decorations, I'm going to get to loot a liches lair!
Get down to the lich
She's married to some guy and they're actually quite nice if you're not trying to kill them
As a fellow mage I bid them good day, take the good loot from the adventurers laying around that they don't care about and continue my sailing
I certainly wasn't expecting that.
Morrowind is the least garbage
but mechanically still sucks. For example, stealth just straight up doesn't work and most of the quests are boring as shit
It feels like an honest attempt at an RPG instead of being just generic action slop
Every skill requires 100 points to level and every action grants a flat amount towards skill up regardless if it's major, minor or miscallenous skill, The only difference between them is how high they start as and if they contribute to total level up.
Not quite. There IS a bonus for Major and Minor skills.
wiki.openmw.org
I remember it being mentioned on a UESP page as well but I can't find that source
Nords, before the third era, pretty much wiped out the snow elves from skyrim, nords are native to skyrim along the aforementioned snow elves are basically asked "Where did the snow elves go?", which simultaneously being responsible for the 'disappearance' of the snow elves.
The Nords you get to interact with in the fourth era (TES5) are pretty much soiboys, and not even a quarter racist as their ancestors.
Weakness to x element allows you to punch through that. Just be careful with reflection, because that's going to hurt a lot.
Yeah, in general running through Tribunal it kind of just... was
pre-skyrim nords are supposed to be boisterious easily-amused weirdos with huge tempers
the joke is that elves look funny so remembering that makes him laugh uproarously
morrowind/oblivion nords make more sense when you realize that they have the most in common with traditional fantasy dwarves, even moreso than the dwemer
I love how you can occasionally go off into the wilderness and find some random guy standing around in the most isolated places possible.
I thought it was the dwemer who fucked over the snow elves? Hence why there's so many falmer in the Skyrim dwemer dungeons
You have to infer the context and the implied history in the setting
Nords have a long history of hating and killing elves, so the phrase "Seen any elves?" could have historical context like back when they were at constant war with the snow elves, such as like they're either searching for more elves to kill, or are boasting about how they genocided them all. "Seen any elves? LOL NOPE we killed them all!"
This might have even led to it later becoming a colloquialism along the lines of "How's it hangin brother?" In the context of the Nords in Morrowind, obviously they're in the homeland of the elves, so the phrase is just an ironic joke but still means the same thing
It's not remotely impossible. It would just take a lot of time and money, and a lot of the cast no longer works in the industry so you'd get another round of skyrim actors being brought in.
you forgot to mention that nords are in canon retards who can barely rub two brain cells together to blurt guttural sounds that vaguely sound similar to words.
IIRC Falmer got BTFO'd by Nords, went for the ((Dwemer)) for help and got tricked/enslaved.
nords cursed to hate elves for eternity
elves cursed to be defeated by drooling jaundice-haired snow apes for eternity
the godhead is a funny fella
Nord eradicated them, Dwemer enslaved the few, they eventually became the Falmer we know about in the fourth era.
Is not impossible just unfeasible
Yeah, the miscellaneous quests are fine, but the main quests of Tribunal are bad, really bad.
You said it about Helseth, I kept wondering why I was even doing it. He kills everyone and then Oblivion says his reign was great? LMAO ok
Almalexia is just as bad, there's a point she starts asking you to basically screw the people of Mournhold and the Nerevarine just goes along? Wtf is this writing.
Yes, there are different words that mean different things. Do you struggle to comprehend the difference between "literally" and "figuratively" as well?
Orcs are the traditional fantasy dwarves
Does anyone know if A, there are in-game maps for Project Tamriel/Tamriel Rebuilt for entire regions, similar to the "Guide to X" scrolls, and B, where to buy them? I'm trying to explore the new content with a reasonable amount of info, I don't want to have the full map showing me where everything is on a second monitor.
What would be really sick would be a stylized art map similar to the one that came with the base game, but that doesn't make much sense when it'll just become outdated.
ANOTHER POINTY-EARED KING OF NOTHING
she's a titlet though
Wealth beyond measure, Outlander
You look tired, friend. Did you walk all over Morrowind?
and the bad one is ALWAYS the last one
Dragonborn is 100 times better than Dawnguard, hell Dragonborn is a lore love letter while in Dawnguard you have to take the fucking daugther of Harkon to the Dawnguard and then back to return a dammit Elder Scroll to the ancient vampire.
It always rubbed me the wrong way that we didn't dust Serana instantly and that the Dawnguard allowed her on the premises at all.
I need ashfall and joy of painting for openmw, mwse runs like shit
Niiice.
I know someone will get mad at me for even suggesting it but seeing all those nice small towns and empty vistas makes me wish the game had a house building system or something like f*llout 4 sometimes
Yep, each town has its guide. One of the Traders, pawnbrokers or booksellers will be carrying it, depends on the city.
I found a map for the Telvanni territory, but it was super basic.
they had to cater to the absolute scum of the gaming industry, i.e. waifufags because the neckbeard gamers of skyrim needed that bullshit in order to please their loser brains
Eat them fatty
I mean....
okay recruit, go kill vampires on your own
what? you brought an ancient vampire with an elder scroll right here in our headquarters? uhm... just do what she says!
That was such a dumb sequence of events. Completely unneeded too.
Wrong, retard.
The Nord's single "success" against Elves was only successful because of Elf on Elf violence with the Dwemer double-crossing the Snow Elves and stopping them from being able to recover and fuck the Nords up.
You know how I know that's how that rematch would go? Because that's how it went the Chimer and Dwemer did it.
Bee tee dubs, Nords' greatest historical heroes got raped by Mer cock at Red Mountain and they've never mattered in the slightest as a race since.
The Cyrodiilics and Redguards are the only Men who've actually done things.
No, my point was that specifying that is not impossible just extremely expensive and time consuming is a completely stupid remark, of course isn't impossible but people use something called "hyperbole" to cut words as anyone with a brain would understand perfectly what they mean with impossible in such context.
OpenMW will get something like that inevitably
dude you cant just post this shit and not link the mod or source or whatever what the hell this is amazing
Wait what the FUCK
Both of the expansion packs kind of sucked in that regard. Huge difficulty spikes (Bloodmoon is even worse here, because the unique weapons and armors are so shit compared to what you get on the mainland) and bad writing. There was something about having not much time to complete both of them. Tribunal at least didn't respawn an army of bears and tri-reviving spriggans every five paces.
thats the day that morrowind turns into the literal only game i play. i could straight up just roam the world forever
Find a Nord Barrow on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere
It has a horn that summons four wolves as loot
Ah yes, the mystic horn of Yfga You-Just-Know
I was wrong then, my bad. Years of playing this game and you still learn something new.
its for openmw
praise ALMSIVI!!!!!!! finally us openmwchads get a decent fucking meal
Looks cool but having just big tent-like houses would be more than enough imo, this feels too excessive. Having space to rest and store things, maybe a chair or two on the outside for aesthetics
finally
Anon... It's been two years.
autistanon, the point of the mod is that you can put whatever you want anywhere. nobody says you have to literally do what trainwiz did in the webm.
I recently replayed both Dawnguard and Dragonborn and they're both so shit
New worldspaces are very empty and quests are just boring
And I played with AE and a couple of other mods that added more content for DLCs
i somehow completely missed this it never showed up when ive checked highest endorsements and shit on nexus over the years
lore love letter
Dragonborn contradicts literally every single thing about Solstheim there was in its first appearance in Bloodmoon. The ice giant's castle alone is in a completely different place. It also has the Skall becoming retarded, the redoran being given ownership of the island, and suddenly there are a billion fucking dwemer settlements that were never there in the first place.
Is it possible to just spawn a chest or something to store things in the game with console commands and no mods already
Nta, but he meant all the godhead shit with miraak
Skyrimbabbies were deluded into thinking Nords are badasses who can handle themselves when they haven't done anything but eat snowcones and wear fur coats since 1E and the Empire is the only reason every province isn't speaking Aldmeris.
first time playing
apparently i should rank up in the mage's guild to make training not cancer
balmora
some khajiit nerd wants me to do all her literal chores for her
get through her chores
oh hey deliver this letter for me in old ebonheart
finally an opportunity to go to another guild and do some actual WORK
go through the trouble of travelling there
WELCOME EVOKER, ARE YOU LOOKING FOR WORK?
go collect plants for me
back in the mainland, by the way lol
FUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Maybe this cum-slurping guild isn't for me...
It's the other way round
Before Skyrim Nords were cool
In Skyrim they've become a pathetic parody of the Vikings
You control the buttons you press.
every race was so much better in PGE1 its not even funny
They were cool in a "based retard" sense. You could be in awe at their retardation.
In Skyrim they're dirt farmers pretending that they had a glorious past.
Why do containers have max weight?
The mages guilds start you off on errands but quickly start throwing some serious shit your way, especially on the mainland.
Hey, you mind interviewing a fucking hostile vampire? You've got charm spells, that should be fine, right?
Hey, check out the weird interdimensional basement universe we keep. Yeah it's dangerous, but I don't care
Please go rip the soul from an animal sacred to the locals. I hear it looks shiny.
Hey anon, wanna check out our magic NUCLEAR REACTOR?
A couple of weeks ago anon had a similar problem
Most of the faction starting quests are pretty basic
Besides the mages guild is the most incompetent of them all, who in their right mind would allow them to have a nuclear reactor in their basement?
Also you can get all the ingredient for these quests from merchants
Realism. You cant stuff a daedric claymore in a jewelry box.
Before Skyrim Nords were cool
How? Name one thing "cool" about Morrowind-era Nords. Was it the part where they wrote a whole cope book trying to make out like they didn't try to third-party the Chimer-Dwemer war and have their Dragonborn God-King get BTFOed like a bitch before the Chimer went back to more important matters?
lmao put the potion in the bag, magie
Dispute this. You can't.
Why is it so low for everything?
R*ddit meme poster unironically cares about what others think about them
Lmaooooooooooooooooooo
instantly recognized it
Curious...
if you can get cow tools you can get the nord joke.
Cuckoran are just weak pussy liberal versions of house Chadoril
Because you can actually place shit around in Morrowind without it exploding everywhere like the later games, just install perfect placement and start putting shit up on your walls like Trainwiz
I know it's only temporary and the rest of the questline is apparently supposed to be kino or something but that first Ebonheart Mages Guild Quest just triggers a primal sense of utter revulsion within me that makes me just not want to do it at all, shit has unironically stopped me from playing a single mage character properly since GF came out
It's weird because i don't even mind collecting mushrooms and flowers for Ajira that much
I don't even remember where I've seen magical spears in all of vanilla Morrowind.
Spear of Bitter Mercy, from the Sheogorath quest. It isn't complete trash, but compare it to other artifact-tier weapons and it's trash-adjacent
They have a kidnapped Ordinator in their rape dungeon, dude.
The mages guild is a bunch of niggers, did you know that they are the ones who put wraiths, atronatchs and other stuff inside people houses so the fighters guild can clean these for money? This is actually part of Daggerfall mages guild questline
What do you guys usually play as?
Read a Pocket Guide to the Empire
At one point Nords literally ruled High Rock, a bit of Cyrodiil, and all of Morrowind
They lived in wooden houses, not because they didn't know any better but because they were absolute masters of woodworking and the very first houses they built have been standing for thousands of years
I really don't want to leave ugly shit like Stendarr's Hammer laying around.
Bosmer, I like being a bow-wielding, tree-dwelling cunt
autism unironically, you probably hate the fact the quest giver tells you to buy or haggle the ingredients from farmers and shopkeepers instead of just picking em up from the wild
Gothic 1
RedGODs of course
Then give it back to the museum
Redguard or nord as I can't stop myself from trying to max out endurance ASAP
VTMB
In fact, not only do they piss, you can see some NPCs getting a blowjob in alleyways.
Altmer, I like playing a mage and they're much more interesting both in lore and gameplay wise than bretons
This is just a tier list of the great houses in inverse. Redoran are hypocritical dullards and their quests are not only unremarkable but also unrewarding.
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
I like Orcs and Altmers
I don't understand why Skywind is a thing
Imperials
Being able to use my name for a character is too appealing
At one point
At one point, there were Ayleids and Dwemer all over the place, too. How about we look just a liiiittle further from 1E300?
"Mongrel dog"
Xavier is a khajiit
holy kek
Splinter Cell
Argonian, I just like to float around everywhere, nobody else ever understands.
where's the sload webm
I play a lot of varied characters but I think Nords are my most common. Innate frost immunity and 50% shock resistance is sweet even though there aren't that many enemies that use those elements.
Anything except bosmer because playing as a manlet in first-person feels weird
NO IT'S MINE! I STOLE IT FAIR AND SQUARE!
Yes, and he attacked them. Fuck the temple.
Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines
graphicsfags. i dont have as much mouth frothing hatred for it as much as everyone in these threads always have, but it really just boils down to making the game look appealing to newer gamers.
that doesn't mean a more detailed simulation isn't more immersive
It means that a more detailed simulation can be less immersive if it is not designed well.
Its more immersive to have a level of abstraction where i pretend NPCs are out doing things while im away then to have to look up a guide on when an NPC sells me items and where because you cant ask by talking to them, like for buying the furnature for houses in skyrim for example. The houscarl will come out and talk to you but he wont offer any dialog for buying house related things unless its a certain time of day. That is more immersive breaking than if he was just a static NPC who stood in one spot and always sold the thing.
They broke the law of the land, and more importantly the law of almighty Arkay, and deserve nothing but steel and fire.
It's not graphics. It's the combat not being shit.
Morrowind without shit combat would be way more popular than Oblivion and Skyrim.
Skyrim they're dirt farmers pretending that they had a glorious past.
so like real life Scandinavians?
Bretons are the safe horny of Mages.
He's still 100% uncursed but larp as the cursed one anyway because it looks cool.
There's almost no lore on modern Skyrim in the old lore
Basically the only thing we know about them is that they're very isolated and traditional
that too. i think skywind will be quite decent and i will especially enjoy their unique takes on dungeons unlike the quite lackluster dungeons of original morrowind. im saying this as a huge morrowindfag, btw. why do so many people here absolutely hate it? it seems more like just a fun new way to explore morrowind to me.
graphicsfags
Maybe when the project started.
Skyrim is older now than Morrowind was when Skyrim released. If it's graphicsfags, it's delusional skyrim modders with 600+ GBs of mods types.
Arkay
more like Are-Gay lmaooooooooo
dra til helvete jævla stygge amerikanske homo
posting random pictures of the moon
calling other people gay
Whatever, fagboy.
Yeah, but I'm a mage, not a faggot so I don't care.
Don't forget stealth and everything related to thievery just not working at all unless you have a magical buff that makes you invisible or are such a high level that it isn't even worth it.
idk if you have heard but skyrim is still the most recent TES game and the only one most supposed elder scrolls fans have played along with the oblivion remaster only recently. theres a whole generation thats grown up ONLY knowing skyrim, anon.
Then they have shit that you might want, and if you can't claim their shit then you're a shit mage. Gonna start calling you Copromancer.
Indoril before Redoran
fuck TR
Honestly shocking to me and a sobering dose of reality that Oblivion Remastered was actually a brand new Elder Scrolls game to a shitload of people.
I'm well aware, but Skyrim was already a dated game a year before its release. By now it has aged worse than Morrowind.
Porting Morrowind content inside Skyrim's updated engine doesn't really improve Morrowind in any meaningful way. All of the supposed problems can be solved much faster just by modding the original game.
Yeah, that too. Morrowind has a ton of smaller issues. NPCs not moving around is another one, the dialog system being repetitive, etc.
yeah no shit but skywin isnt for US, dumbass. are you this empathetically inept that you cant see why skywind might be appealing to newer gamers?
Why would Redoran need any content anyway?
Redoranfags do it for free, no need to waste time with quests.
at least we could have had a glorious period of time. That is if one side didn't constantly mutiny our chances of solving our crippling problems and the other wasn't just straight up evil retards.
The real sobering thought is how many people get filtered by the minigames in it. The real REAL sobering thought is how many people get filtered by trying to install mods for it and failing at the most basic possible shit.
a berniefag in the big 25
I don't see what would be appealing in terms of content.
If you like Skyrim, chances are that you would dislike the majority of Morrowind's content. Making it look pretty (debatable) won't change that content.
This faggot ruined Tamriel by backstabbing Nerevar and then giving the Dwemer time magic Gundam to Tiber Septim for literally no reason. Sotha Sil is the only tribunal member who isn't a complete piece of shit.
They have a kidnapped Ordinator in their rape dungeon
I kill ordinators if they look at me wrong, those skeletons are practically saints.
Which should i play first?
Skyrim Home Of The Nords or Project Cyrodiil?
No refunds berniebro
the man was always right, is continued to be proven right every day and the consequences of pretending he isn't is what got us here
Skyrim really doesn't have much to do in it right now.
How so?
The only difference between quests in the two games is that early Morrowind quests are a lot more menial.
He always was a sellout, and ignoring this very easy fact is what got you to post retarded off-topic images to this day.
because most skyrim fans have sat with the game for 14 years and would now not mind a bit deeper RPG mechanics. 90% of the reason younger and more mainstream gamers give for not being able to get into the game is the graphics, no voice acting and static world, which skywind will "fix" while still retaining tons of morrowind elements and mechanics paired with the modernized QoL feel of skyrim. not so hard to understand, anon.
skyrim is not that interesting now, but cyrodiil has tons of content even if its just 1 city and some outskirts for now.
The only actual fighter in the Tribunal is Almalexia.
Vivec bent over for Tiber Septim because he's a hooker who dabbles in writing poetry while Sotha Sil is an autist wizard who just likes to play with his trains.
Is HOTN worth downloading just to explore the world?
who just likes to play with his trains.
Nothing wrong with that.
Skyrim is very small and should get an update soon
Cyrodiil is pretty big and only recently got an update
calling bernie the sellout
as opposed to alzheimer's fdr wannabe, and the last minute diversity hire?
non stop morrowind Anon Babble posting while im in the middle of my oblivion remastered playthru.
can you guys stop, your creating too much of an urge for me to go play morrowind.
It's got a lot of cool world elements but it's not really on the same level of the other two. Their next update is meant to be a release in PC or TR's vein though.
Never said there was, boss. He's just not a fighter.
I'll finish my current playthrough then download it and check it out then
bro thinks politics is about ideas and not character
he buckled and give in to the hysterical brown people in his party. he was completely useless.
Wtf. I have a 3070 and a 5900x. I tried so many graphics options, disabling shaders, view distance to 1, diabled shadows, barely anything made a difference.
you're doing something wrong, I have a rtx 2060 mobile with 6g, ryzen 9 from 5 years ago, and I run open mw with overhaul maxed out 20,000 view distance at 60fps steady
I suggest you check your mod load order and make sure you actually have everything installed correctly
Spears are great, they have incredible attack distance which means you can be 100% safe attacking while backpedaling from most enemies. It's a good choice for a 'hardcore' character.
If you did survive into old age (level 30+), then spamming elemental damage via short blade/long blade is better dps, but only just barely.
Their next update is meant to be a release in PC or TR's vein though.
When is that and what area will it focus on then
The light armor you get from here has a pretty high enchant value
Once I finished playing OBR I started playing TR for the first time, I legitimately think the modders released it the exact time they did specifically for that reason. That's probably why so many people are here now, just got done with the remaster and felt like playing Morrowind and it just so happened that the newest TR update had just come out.
modernized QoL feel of skyrim
Skyrim feels extremely dated to me. For example the interface is a step back from Morrowind.
You know what would be QoL? Morrowind's interface in Skyrim, not the other way around.
I know. I use the bracers + some high enchant gloves I found from god knows where to be extremely powerful.
I legitimately think the modders released it the exact time they did specifically for that reason.
They started teasering it almost a month before Oblivion remastered announcement
yeah i agree with that. the ui design of being able to move around and stretch windows to your liking is amazing and such a relic of the fact that morrowind was designed with pc's in mind first and foremost (at least regarding UI design) unlike skyrims horrible design, but you must also realize that they will be using skyui for skywind so it will at least be way better than vanilla skyrim's ui.
Are you the lunatic who made the clockwork city mod? Where do you live? I want to bash you with a cinderblock.
He lives in a treehouse in Todd's yard
desu my favorite thing about morrowind's ui is how fast and responsive it is
i don't have to wait for menu animations or flick through tabs to find what I want
i just right click and everything is there
I just ran through SSE to test out the latest update in full. I didn't remember any of the puzzles and it was still easy as hell, even the sewer maze.
Git gud.
Everything is like that.
Dialogue? No waiting 30 years for the NPC to slowly turn and then freeze while you skip the shitty voice acting.
Interactions? No being locked into an ugly animation where your character spends far too much time sitting/leaning on a crafting table. No doors bugging out.
Travel? No need to slowly climb a wagon, you just go there.
Everything just works.
New bread when bros
the fact we got oblvion remastered, TR and skyblivion all in the same year is wild.
Do light sources like torches and stuff light indefinitely when placed in the world unlike in your hand
I'm just seeing this for the first time an it looks amazing, what's the problem with it?
skyblivion
I won't believe it until I see it.
Yes. Although some of them don't work when places on the ground for some reason.
skyrim's ui is fucking atrocious, not to even mention how they nerfed skills or cucked magic.
Lots and lots of swimming through pipes
new bread pl0x im not a baker
i'm a little sad that OBR releasing before Skyblivion means Skyblivion modding will be basically non-existent
Skyblivion with a fully deleveled world would be kvno of the highest degree.
Nope! Sewer section is now entirely optional, a new puzzle replaced it.
it's literally 99% done, they are very open and autistic about the numbers on development, they count every mesh/voice-line/quest, etc.
I'll be very surprised if it doesn't release within the next 3 months
Skyblivion modding will be basically non-existent
What makes you say that? I'm pretty sure it will be easier to mod, for starters, because it's not saddled with UE5 bullshit.
Skyblivion modding will be basically non-existent
absolutely not true. you can basically port 1:1 skyrim mods over to skyblivion with zero problems as it is basically a skyrim total conversion mod. modding for oblivion remastered, if anything, is and will remain shit because of UnJeet Engine 5
people already modded original oblivion to death
now people had to redo a ton of mods for OBR since it's literally a 1-to-1 copy of oblivion with some very minor QoL
OBR doesn't even get that many mods already
Now Skyblivion will release and modders are supposed to start over a THIRD time? For a game a lot of people won't even play because they recently played OBR?
It's looking bleak.
What dose of Adderall were you on when you made clockwork city mod? How long did it take for the first release version?
Skyrim has the biggest playerbase and modding scene of any Bethesda game
That's not going to happen
We already have Enderal as an example
Skyrim modders are obsessed with making random textures, models and porn mods
None of them actually play the game
Oblivion modding was barely there on life support before the demaster, if anything there will be more people interested just for the novelty of it.
Spears are great, they have incredible attack distance which means you can be 100% safe attacking while backpedaling from most enemies. It's a good choice for a 'hardcore' character.
This has been my experience thus far. Honestly, you guys made a really powerful early game character without even trying. Conjuration's fortify skill on Bound weapons and the Warrior sign have helped me basically one shot every enemy while avoiding all melee combatants with my extra range. It's been nice!
Skyrim is not Skyblivion.
With that logic, Skywind would also have a massive modding scene.
enderal isnt TES you mongoloid of course people arent going to mod it much as the interest isn't there for a non-TES IP. skyblivion is a major release with millions of views on youtube and tons of frequent engagement
its not SUPER cheesy, but go buy the devil spear in balmora for like 200 gold, it comes with bound spear for 30 seconds ability and has tons of charges, as a spear user its basically the sword of white woe
Skyrim modding is very bloated with translations, patches and presets
In practice Skyrim modding is barely ahead of Fallout 4
Morrowind and NV have more genuine mods
nta and don't you think a huge part of those people who were hyped and watching videos and getting ready to play are now gone because they played OBR?
You're either delusional or this is just bait
None of the Skyrim modders care about TES
The most popular quest mod for Skyrim is literally based on Dark Souls
idk lmao
also if you can get 'summon scamp' early, its immune to normal weapons so its a giga tank, summon spear and summon scamp can carry you until about level 20 as long as you play carefully and dont overextend
Niiiice.
not even remotely true, especially for Morrowind
Morrowind, for some godawful reason, has like 50% of it's mods being graphics mods
The actual amount of mods that do stuff, and aren't just minor fixes/patches/changes are incredibly rare.
Not sure about NV, NV never struck me as a game that has a massive modding scene, it's almost all rebalance stuff like Jsawyer's and once again, visuals stuff because Bethesda fans are obsessed with fucking graphics for some reason. But admittedly, I modded NV a lot less than other games, so maybe I'm ill-informed.
The most popular quest mod for Skyrim is literally based on Dark Souls
what the fuck are you talking about
Ordinators are faggots who attack you for being Nerevarine and even when you are proven by the Goddess Azura herself and acknowledged by the "Vi" in AlmSiVi to be Nerevar reborn they will still declare unending mortal Jihad on you if they catch you wearing Indoril armor, despite you literally being the reincarnation of INDORIL Nerevar. They can go fuck themselves. You want me to care about the Ordinator in the Lich rape dungeon when the Ordinators never gave a care for all the basically innocent people locked up in their floating asteroid rape dungeon? Hypocrites all, you and the Ordinators.
