Pre-order secured
How is this legal? lol
I pre-ordered one and I've already got my money's worth of entertainment from reading pointless seetheposts about it from people here who don't even play videogames. Looking forward to playing all my favourite PS1 games on my CRT.
Why does every post from FPGA fags read like this? Why do you constantly sound like you have something to prove?
Chink shill farm, you can only buy the fpga board from one place.
The PS1 is the last console I would ever want to hardware emulate. Give me emulation that allows for floating point math any day of the week over accurate emulation. PS1 looked like dogshit.
Also why buy this for $150 and be stuck with only PS1 games when you can spend a few bucks more and get a Mister Pi and get an FPGA solution that can play any classic console and most arcade cabinets? This seems like a product with features only an enthusiast would care about, marketed to non-enthusiasts.
Hmmmm interesting, very nice
*downloads emulator for free*
What's FPGA
it is a FPGA board retard and has all the functionality of a mister. lurk 2 years before posting
disc support not pictured
luhmao
you can play bin/cue files you just cant use an actual CD.
Finally, a worthy successor to the Soulja Boy console.
may they really are trying hard to take the OUYA audience
getting ouya vibes from this

Demarcus... you cane come back to da hood anymo... you knowd dat...
Theres about 30 good PSX games and I have every one except Einahnder. So much of the library is unplayable trash.
$149
no disk reader
I can buy 4 or 5 PS1s for less than this.. what's the point
Can't wait to play Monster Rancher 2 with the one default guy
jesus christ what a fucking stupid product
I can play my ps1 games right?
no disc drive lol
...so it's just a PS1 emulator box? that I can get for exactly 10$ on aliexpress?
yea but this one looks like a ps1 heh
I see what you mean. Look at them all go.
here mouthdroolers...learn something new today
I've worked with FPGAs you silly billy. Why would I spend FOUR times the amount on this than an OG model?
Does it work with crt and light gun games
It's like 50% porn spam
Why would I spend $150 on a ps1 emulator when I could get a raspberry pi for around $50?
did you know you can pay us to do something you can already do for free???
lol
I'd get one if I didn't already have a PC which could emulate all the same things and more.
I believe the appeal is going portable for consumers and friend havers
149$ for an emulator, which you can get for free
Reminds me of some engineering/layout work my friend did for a GB/GBC compatible knockoff. It was at least $100 and the company had original game cartridges they were selling for $40+ lmao
bait for brownoids thread
Cool, my PC does all that too
Most people have phones capable of emulation
still have my playstation from 96. in fact, i have 6 or 7 i've collected over the years, i even turned one into a clock i keep in my den.
This plus straight into a tv
it's overpriced but you're acting retarded as if computers and phones to emulate are free
Yes and yes
It's literally the Mister Pi on a PS1 themed box for cheaper you retard.
MiSTer thread
bunch of angry goobers that don't even know what the OP is start shitting up the thread
If you don't have a smart phone or a computer in 2025, then you're a brokeboi cardboard-box living bitch. there's nothing else to say about people like you. Literally just die so tax payers don't have to put up with you anymore srsly
Sure do love the psueds who fail to respond to any argument about the myriad of cheaper options
I bought a cheap gaming toaster to own the chuds
You are an animal dictated by your hunger and that's all you'll ever be.
I'll wait for China's version where I'll be paying $50. Thank you.
If you want FPGA emulation then there is no 'cheaper option'. Software emulation is not the same. If you think it is then unfortunately you're the pseud.
buy an ad
Brother, I can open up eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. and find scores of listings for PS1s with controller, memory cards, and games for far, far less than $150. I can buy backup systems for modchips and even if I cook those pads, I still have saved more money than the FPGA option. So what's the sale's pitch?
See, like I said, you don't understand what the OP is.
It doesn't just play PS1 games. It runs all the cores that a normal MiSTer does, including almost all consoles from 5th gen and earlier, retro PCs, and a ton of arcade cabinets.
Even if you only wanted to load backups from a microSD on a PS1 you'd be out much more than just buying the thing in the OP because the xStation mod alone is $120.
morons still think this only plays PS1 because it looks like a ps1
brownoids are too easy to bait
Sony should probably still manufacture them for this to be illegal...
Question. How does this change the gameplay compared to just running it on a good emulator?
supports additional hardware FPGA emulation
See, if the the original tweet just said this instead of "supports PS1 games" it would be a lot more impactful.
My b, thanks bro. I'll see what the disk reader model comes out to.
PS1 can play PS1 games
PS2 can play PS1 games
PS3 can play PS1 games
PSP can play PS1 games
PSVita can play PS1 games
PSTV can play PS1 games
PSmini can play PS1 games
any electronic device made in the past 15 years can play PS1 games
your microwave can even play PS1 games
"let me buy this meme machine for $150 that doesn't even play original PS1 games"
Yeah, I think it's a nice form factor, but I see so many people get the wrong idea because of it and assume it's something like the Analogue 3D which ONLY supports N64.
They really should clarify for the uninitiated.
FWIW I still prefer OG hardware even if FPGA gets closer to the real deal. But, solid option for people with limited space or who just don't wanna fuck around replacing old components, boards, etc.
In terms of authenticity original hardware will definitely always be king. This is a nice compromise, though, especially for hooking up to old tube televisions.
