I asked myself:
Does Anon Babble really need a Morrowind thread up at absolutely all times? An undying general, constantly bumping trash threads off the back end of the board?
And I thought
"Yes. Yes it does."

my n'wah...
it's vigilant, vigilant is the most downloaded quest mod
and btw almost all of Skyrim's quest mods suck ass (vigilant included)
Is it possible to just spawn a chest or something to store things in the game with console commands and no mods already
just murder somebody and take their house you pussy
that's what Ralen Hlaalo is for. Mark his corpse, use it for infinite storage that will never despawn.
endorsements
its the same for most downloaded, most unique downloads, etc. etc. idk you just seem like a weirdo autistic nitpicker just being difficult for no reason.
i love how whenever somebody asks this they still do their pointless stock replies like are doing rather than just actually answering the question
It's funny how the most downloaded quest mod for Skyrim is made by a single jap, borrows asthetics from Dark Souls and isn't even translated without patches
That's the thing about Skyrim modding, you have to install a lot of mods to get meh experience
Hell yeah fuck Gachaslop and fuck Twitter we hitting the skooma tonight
no
because the answer is no now shut up
Good last post
here's my current one, spear + medium armor dunmer chad (i name all my characters jiub)
you don't know what endorsements are, do you?
Floor of the mages guild.
that is the answer you stupid nigger, there is no console command to spawn a chest or permanent corpse
Place at me should work for containers, and it should also save it (since Morrowind saves are literally just mods renamed).
hey dude you've got like
a crab
on your face
fyi
Warlockin'
My Wizard on his coastline tour. I left Old Ebonheart with barely any money after buying the ship and now I'm on the way back with a shit ton of money and tons of treasure in the holds.
I see you found Khalaan
What do you think, did he survive the red year.
Anyone ever tried one of these?
morrowind has like 5 mods worth using
just do it yourself
modlists just shit up the game with tons of retextures/meshes that nobody gives a fuck about
Kezyma and Lost Prophecies are pretty nice, the other ones didn't interest me since they added new skills and otherwise skyrimified the gameplay
him, yagrum and a few of his daughter-clone-wives fucked off into the pocket dimension amulet he keeps in his jewelry box
Got tricked into playing this outdated shit. Can't even quick move or sort inventory in any meaningful way. Pretty sure inventory was solved by the time Morrowind came out
I know, just wondering what this kind of bloat makes the game look like, lost prophecies is over 50GBs.
he probably didn't even notice it happened
path of the incarnate is good, I can recommend that one
stupid fucking comment, there are tons of really excellent mod lists, stop typing if you don't know what the fuck you are talking about with your 10 hours
use modlist
disable texture and mesh replacers
Wow that was hard.
That's not a pocket dimension, that just teleports you to a daedric ruin that's no longer accessible.
moments before uninstalling that cheat mod
There were FIVE Divayth Fyrs in that tower. They're fine.
yea idk why boomers play this shit when fortnite exists.
if fucking neloth survived, he did too
shut the fuck up!
bait post
The funny part is if you're using openmw you have the zoomers ONLY way to filter which is the search box. Zoomers only understand search boxes sorting? LOL LMAO yeah right.
Don't be mad when you're wrong, just don't be wrong again.
So uuh is there a shortcut to move items from inventory to container with a single click or vice versa, shift or ctrl clicks do nothing and I still have to agree to select all and then move the item to the other thing
that makes sense actually, i remember a quest in vhul that does something similar.
she sounds like she fucks argonian men
shift click grabs the whole stack
ctrl click grabs 1 out of the stack
I will ask again, then
I want to be a Nord. I want to beat shit to death with a long blade and shield. What do I do with my other skills? Do I go security/mercantile/speechcraft or just go full magic sperg and use it for utility
Is Heavy Armor worth it over Light Armor (I've patched out the assassin's raping you till you're mostly done with the main quest so no dark brotherhood armor early)
My MO2 started launching launcher instead of the game so I can't launch Morrowind
Can anyone help?
armors are a trade-off between weight and protection, heavy armor does what it says it does but boy does it weigh a ton, light is pretty lacking until you get to the good stuff but you're gonna be moving fast. personally i enjoy mixing light and medium.
i also forgot to mention, consider using a heavier shield, the light ones break too fast in my experience.
Whatever you want bro. Most every skill is useful to a degree. I always pick restoration as at least a minor skill to have an easier time healing, but it doesn't really matter. Only thing that matters (imo) is that your two primary skills are your main damage dealing skill (ie. long blade) and your main armor skill (light, medium, heavy).
TIL that Baar Dur was just "Paused" in motion with all of its kinetic potential/momentum intact and not simply brought to a complete halt and levitated.
Red Year makes a lot more sense in that context, I always wondered why just dropping a big rock from 200 feet up would cause such a disaster.
Axe or Blunt as backup weapon skills
Armorer
Heavy or Medium armor if you want to use the orc one
Athletics
Speechcraft for taunting/threatening
This assuming you want to go full grug and don't rely on magic
Neloth was the weakest and least interesting of the Telvanni Masters. Even Baladas Demnevanni was higher-level.
we swashbuckle in this motherfetcher
What are the best cast when strikes enchants for weapons, you guys think?
lightning since basically nothing resists it except the rare storm atronachs
drain health is also solid but doesn't work on automatons
Been playing Total Overhaul, it has been very fun adding stuff to my treasury
I would recommend getting at least a bit of alteration, you do not want to rely on lockpicks when you could have all the utility of alteration plus an unlock spell.
Basic bitch choice but absorb health, always useful because if it's ever reflected you just absorb your own health
Does Morrowind have any mods that add voice acting to all the dialog?
I only looked at voices of Vanderfell and that looked like it had only finished like, 2 or 3 races/genders.
paralyze
Restoration and Alteration are worthwhile minor skills on pretty much any character. Restoration for healing / stat restores / stamina replenishment and Alteration for the massive amount of quality of life spells it gives access to. Whether that's too powergamey and you'd prefer some other method for RP reasons is up to you.
So now instead of the game launcher starts so I can't play with mods. Can anyone help me
It was fine just a few days ago
oh also "fortify strength 100 on self for 3 seconds" is cheap and gives you a huge physical damage bonus, so its a good all round cast on strike effect
pretty much anything you would like to cast
your favorite elemental damage
absorb health
soul trap
paralyze
restore stamina on self
damage attribute
She's a Dunmer, she fucks anything that walks
I had a sword on my last playthrough enchanted with Restore Health on Self on Strike. It was pretty cheesy. Just doublecheck that you don't accidentally make it on target or you'll end up healing them instead.
Did you select the game executable in the drop down menu on the right side that's next to the run button?
Can you remove enchantments from gear to enchant them again
No, maybe with a mod, or just use the console to get a new item.
why are bosmer women average height instead of small?
Here
Never mind, running MO2 as admin helped
Yeah, it launched Launcher even through Morrowind.exe in the folders
comfy locations: ashlander edition
LMAO imgaine playing this slop when you could be playing the SUPERIOR remaster.
Bosmer women are built for human men
I'm waiting for mods to be updated for the new TR then I'm gonna follow the vanilla expanded mod list on modding open mw since I don't see any other mod guides similar to that.
they should be small then
do you really need a mod guide for openmw? just pick what you like and install it
There are too many mods and patches between them to not use a guide.
Who the fuck even teaches summon golden saint in TR
I am Shovel Knight!
Can you post this spot from Oblivion remastered?
It's right in the docks in Anvil if you look at the lighthouse
I like it because it shows just how much better Morrowind Anvil is than Oblivion one
Isn't it all pretty much random when it comes to that?
Wood Elf men are ugly and small so that they will not mate outside of the race. Wood Elf women are beautiful and of attractive stature to attract outside races to assimilate aspects of their kind to the Wood Elf young that will be birthed to broaden the child's strengths if it should need to be called on for a Wild Hunt.
Source: I made it the fuck up.
In game reason or out of game design choice?
Any mods that age huge titties?
So does speed or any of the skills actually increase walk speed or is that just running speed
i don't know why you want wrinkly huge saggy tits but you do you.
in game I guess
are they not supposed to be small? was that just a retcon from the later games?
Speed boosts walking speed, but you're thinking of how Athletics only boosts running speed
age huge titties
Not a lot of time spells but Halls of Colossus has some.
Speed increases the speed of both walking and running.
Where is the age slider?
Bosmer males have to eat the flesh of something to gain its attributes.
Bosmer females can also gain attributes by being ejaculated inside of (DNA capture via microchimerism)
That's why bosmer females are larger than the males, because they get creampied by larger races.
You have to wait for them, just like mortal men do.
in game
The males are reverting to their true form a bit faster than the females. This is also shown in their attributes.
so is picrel good enough to get through the game, hitting the magic schools I need for useful spells and overall not getting raped?
I know endgame won't matter since you'll be shitting out fuckery for the werewolf maze
Also considering swapping the long blade to blunt so I can use sunder.
I might swap security to athletics
I miss when khajiits and argonians had long feet
I know they're still technically canon in different circumstances, but I miss seeing it ingame
Luck
Based but why?
boosting luck can only be done 1 point at a time while leveling up, so starting out with luck as a favored stat is like 10 levels worth of luck
Enchant as a major/minor skill is a bit of a meme. Enchanting is extremely powerful but the meta is to pay NPCs to do it because the success rates suck for players even at high levels.
You might also consider changing your specialisation from Combat considering you only have Block and Long Blade, while you have 5 Magic skills.
if you have alteration you don't need security, unlock spells are alteration school and simply better and faster at unlocking than lockpick
also I suggest you move long blade to secondary skills, or you will level up uncomfortably fast
luck is especially useful for jack of all trades characters it will help his hitrate, spellcasting, unlocking doors and persuasion all with a single attribute.
Interesting, going to do that on my next build.
They're supposed to be taller and pretty
Get ebony blade
It's way worse than adamantium, which is way cheaper
Huh
Doing enchant to save on soul gems
Altho considering how cheap conjuration training is, I might just summon the ghost to trap now and then
Would you say the same with blunt if I go with it over long blade? I'll take security out for Athletics then
Enchantments regenerate passively over time in Morrowind too. You only need to recharge with soul gems when you're spamming very expensive enchanted items.
think of every point of luck as a half point in all attributes and skills for the purposes of successful rolls.
Bound armour/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers build.
well fuck
athletics can replace it thwen
Good to see that everyone kills that guy for his helmet
I just said bound armour bro, I summoned that helmet.
What's the point of soul gems as refills if you can't use them during combat? When you're outside of combat you might as well just rest.
So is it possible to get a special potion or reward for crafting the potion in Hanin's Wake book
Also the fuck is an ebony alembic, master?
This city is too big. Khajiit is lost.
Hottest Elder Scrolls race?
all the sidequests hiding in the apartment buildings get me pretty turned around too.
cute cat
Find a boat to stirk and get your bearings there
Scale-wise, MW's Gold Coast is a lot bigger than Oblivion.
Ebony is better than Grandmaster but worse than SecretMaster, IIRC. Morrowind has the Secret Master's repair hammer (sold by the smith at Hawkmoth Legion Fort) and the Secret Master's Key (the skeleton key) but even though the Secret Master's alchemy equipment was included in the game files it was never placed in the game world. Ebony alchemical equipment found in TR is like an interim step between Grandmaster and Secretmaster.
If you make items with big boy souls it can take multiple days to fully recharge an item.
kek. Morrowind memes are the best.
And it looks better too and it's more interesting and fun and I guess that's why shithesda won't ever talk about Project Tamriel.
Ok, so i want to play marksman but bosmer are 120cm tall, what other races are good choices? does orc berserk apply to ranged?
Yes.
Kezyma's is really good. Just needs a quest list mod.
yea its probably best with ranged because you dont have to worry about the agility loss for defense
orc berserk is great for archers, pair with sujama for a good time, you can also use the fortify fatigue effect to help you with shopping, lockpicking, and spellcasting
Honestly he had it coming
People are recommending orcs because of berserk but orcs have another hidden effect. Projectile speed is tied to racial weight in Morrowind, and male Orcs have the heaviest weight, so their projectiles actually move faster than any other race/sex combination. Their spells, thrown weapons, arrows, bolts, etc. all move a little faster than everyone else's.
Listen nigger as long as you have one weapon skill and one armor skill you can fill the rest with liquid shit and still beat the game. In fact the game is so breakable you should purposefully nerf yourself by choosing skills that fit the RP of the character you want to play instead of metagaming.
Did you teabag him?
that is some secret mechanical spice right there, i'm guessing the openmw option to normalize movement speeds across races disables this.
you could olay a fem bosmer
It almost certainly disables that, yes.
That's not how anything works.
I was referring to how inter-racial children are always of the race of the mother with some traits of the father.
No but i stole literally every single thing in his tower and sold it to the guy in Narsis. And also soul trapped him.
orcs secretly the best wizards
kinvm
I'm still learning new things about this game after 23 years
orc ladies have a particularly robust stat spread for battlemages
micromachines characters are funny though
Sadly orc ladies aren't as heavy as orc men so they don't get the full effect of the bonus projectile speed.
What mod lets you play as that?
the best wizard is Altmer followed by Breton in a distant second, as always
With absorb spells, can you only absorb what the enemy actually has, be it skills or health or do you always get the amount set on the spell
Is there anything weird you noticed while using this? I like immersion in morrowind.
Playable Alfiq when? I want to be a housecat wizard
Nothing I've noticed so far but I haven't tried the weirder choices like tsaesci or giant
rape
some of the weirder choices are not designed for normal play.
5'11"
What in OBLIVION is THAT?
open console
click player
setscale 0.5
Devourer.
A enemy from The Elder Scrolls Battlespire.TR likes to lift creatures from the spin-off games.
Cute dog
What does dispel actually fucking do in this game
Removes all non-constant effect effects on you, both positive and negative.
dispels your own spell effects
one way to use dispel is to remove your damage over time effects when the fucking atronach reflects them.
STR/INT or STR/WP for a battlemage type
why are nord resistances so overtuned compared to any other race?
agility/endurance
Depends on what you're doing, are you relying on melee with magic for utility? Willpower for the magic resist and fatigue, if you're going to major casting and rely on armor for defense then INT for the initial magicka pool boost
Because there has to be an explanation of a group of people dumber than a bag of rocks actually survived this long
Probably the latter, with blunt and maybe block as a minor. Also going to try not to use too many misc skills for level-ups or otherwise
I hate these niggers so much. The northeast part of the map has hundreds of them and they aggro from a kilometer away
They're shit-tier casters, the opposite of Almer who have massive magicka pools but are weak to literally everything.
i basically just started, might reroll again idk. I keep picking atronach. i can't stop.
mainland Telvanni is just casual cosmic horror
I don't know what I expected honestly. Really cool landscape though, tons of ruins.
Just wanna say some of you guys have absolutely abhorrent visual/UI mods.
congratulations
Post yours
absorb health + soul trap
whats up with those shadow people hanging by the shelves
shadows from the NPCs on the 2nd floor because OpenMW shadows are stupid as fuck
indoor shadows are bugged, they go through the floor
rumor has it the ghosts of Tarhiel and Processus Vitellius still haunt the tradehouse
vanilla does that too retard
yeah so what bitch
How are you guys still alive? Isn't Morrowind a 100 year old game or something?
OK I need someone to explain this to me because I feel stupid thinking about it
Daedra worship is a thing regardless of where you are
Dunmer have a history of being very intimate with the daedra and worshipping them
The current temple religion still doesn't outright say all daedra are evil and you should receive anal rape for caring for them, stating three of them in particular are very fucking rad
Dunmer are extremely autistic about "preserving their culture" to the point most of them think living in a literal outhouse would be cool if one of their ancestors did it
Daedra in general are actual active and living beings that interact with people
Two of the three gods of the current pantheon haven't even shown their faces in the last fucking 150 years, let alone talk to people (granted, one of them is just dead)
There is a whole horror-show going on in Vvardenfell and has been for a long time
Nobody but a couple Morag Tong members and a few rednecks living in bumfuck nowhere, Alaska worship the daedra and have active daedric shrines
Am I just missing something
Powers of CHIM makes us ageless bro. Get on the gravy train.
They've had 4000 years of "AlmSiVi rules; other gods drool" hammered into their culture.
Ashlanders are the only ones really holding onto ancestor (and Daedra) worship like it was in the old days. Everyone else is more like something along the lines of the ancestor worship equivalent of "cultural catholic".
I've been using Ashfall for this character and while it does let me role play a little bit I find myself not really interacting with it at all.
The wilderness of Morrowind even with TR isn't really big enough to justify carrying around 50 pounds of camping shit everywhere I go and the water/food/sleep needs are completely nullified by all the towns being so close together when I can walk into a bar and fill all of them for like 20 gold. If I'm in a real pinch there's more than enough water and alchemy ingredients laying around that I can toss into a pot and spend 30 seconds boiling. The bushcrafting mechanic is completely superfluous and adds practically nothing unless you are going full mountain man RP and pretty much exclusively that, even if you want to carve figurines or whatever for RP purposes you're going to be carving an ungodly amount of bowls until you even unlock the option. The temperature scale also comes off as unnecessary unless you are in a volcano or Solstheim.
same. guar whisperer makes it more enjoyable because it's easier to justify RP camping when you don't have to carry fifty pounds of shit yourself, but it's still mostly RP.
I have most shit turned off but I like setting up camp and I also like the "wet enemies take more damage from electricity" type shit
They've been worshipping the Tribunal longer than they worshipped the Daedra at the point of Morrowind I believe.
Calling the "Good" Daedra the Anticipations let the people more easily accept a shift in worship, it wasn't a total cultural shakeup because they still technically, kind of, potentially, maybe have significance to the religion. You have a group of three people that say they are gods prophesized by the Daedra they worship then perform seemingly godlike acts on the daily, very publicly for nearly their entire reign, the culture would adapt pretty rapidly.
In Morrowind you are popped into what IS the mass cultural shakeup caused by the Tribunal not appearing for 150 years, the faith is wavering which is reflected by the Ordinators becoming the gestapo and the appearance of the Dissident Priests.
So how much trouble did this bad boy get into back home? I imagine the sugar paled in comparison to all the heirs being picked off by the Mythic Dawn
My headcanon
Tel Fyr was destroyed
The entrance to the Corprusarium became covered up by tons of mud and ash
Vistha-Kai and a couple of the infected got killed
Divayth and three of his daughter-wives levitated out of there safely
Uupse stayed behind to try to escort out some of the infected, but she didn't make it
Yagrum is still alive, but he's trapped in the now-sealed Corprusarium, and he has lost his sanity once again
Divayth hasn't been the same since that day
Why the guar on the right is so small?
like i'll take lore info from some guy who makes retarded dwemer horse mods
Facilitating the neutralization of Dagoth Ur and the Tribunal probably saved him from being expelled from the Blades, he might have been demoted to just an agent once again and stationed as a trainer somewhere.
4 hours to reply
Rolston published some letters from Caius to his wife that talked about the Oblivion Crisis, apparently the GrandSpyMaster of Vvardenfell island was recalled to Cyrodiil so he could....be stationed at Kragenmoor, where he mentions he's noticed increased traffic to the shrine of Akatosh since the showdown in the Imperial City. Did he get shitcanned? Probably, but that depends on how much you think the Emperor can actually foresee and how much Vvardenfell is valued in the grand scheme.
I hate to ruin your headcanon, anon, but I didn't make any part of the dwemer horse for Forgotten Seasons, I merely integrated the asset, same as the dwemer crowns.
There's a whole massive cavern system beneath Tel Fyr and it leads to Sotha Sil's pocket plane according to ESO.
does anyone sell the weapons the elsweyr mission guards use?
There's a temporary rift that opens during the events of that DLC that you close as part of a trial.
according to ESO
according to ESO
So in other words not canon
Still a huge cave system though, plenty of time to hide and open up new portals.
not canon
I hope this is true, considering everything after the Necrom chapter.
Well no, because the cave is actually Abanabi pre-construction on his tower, and by Morrowind neither are connected.
You guys are missing the point that Fyr is canonically the greatest planar traveler and teleporter in Tamriel.
Could the guy who is able to open portals at will survive hpurr durrpde
looted an outlying storage building
walked away with 45 fucking pounds of corkbulb root
I asked myself:
Does Morrowind really needs mods to have a general on?
And I though
"it's overrated."
Isn't Fyr the greatest mortal mage on Tamriel? Of course he fucking survived.
The guy could've easily become a god by now if he wanted.
Also a psijic and they can stop time
weapon
Sure is some pretty country
I like to think of Ashfall as more of a needs mod, sure the camping stuff is cool but you're right, Vvardenfell is small. What the tents and bushcrafting is good for is a small, free "base" to set up in a central location early-to-mid game. The wilderness outside Caldera is a favorite spot of mine.
The real benefit of it is the buffs and such added from meals and stews and teas. A fully heated fully stocked pot of stew buffs a ton of things and lasts for 12 hours.
But really, it's about setting a routine and getting emergent gameplay from nature and the wilderness. Stumbling out of a rainstorm half frozen and starving into a warm, well lit tavern after a long walkabout is peak.
If all the Telvanni demigod wizards are ancient and can live for an indefinite amount of time due to their magic powers then why is Shalidor fucking dead?
Cause he's a nord
what big mods would i miss out on by using openmw? and why the fuck doesn't openmw just add some kind of emulation for script extender? their refusal to just add it is retarded. i cant wait until ai is good enough that i can show it documentation from both and add it myself
As far as I know they DO have scripting ability on par with MWSE, it's just a different implementation so the mods have to be rewritten.
Whyd he not Mannimarco
holy fucking ESL
Assuming you're asking why Fyr is stronger than Mannimarco; he's not. Mannimarco isn't mortal though, he's a god.
Assuming you're asking why Fyr isn't a god, presumably he just doesn't give a fuck. Dude is busy fucking his daughterwives, talking shit with the last living dwarf, and watching adventurers fucking die in his dungeon.
Too busy fucking his daughter wives
This thread is too dry, can anyone moisturize it?
at least if mods can be ported, thats good. supporting mwse seems like a pretty basic thing that should be in the engine though. if you can make a game engine, certainly you can add support for some extra crap mwse adds?
tsaesci
nani the fuck?
Hey what the hell
I kinda wish the unique gear they had was worth some money or was worth using
Is there way to sort inventory by weight and ingredients by effects
modding-openmw.gitlab.io
I can't be bothered setting up openMW but this is kinda cool
Anyone think the Argonian revenge porn fanfic in Skyrim was the nu-writers getting confused because they looked back at the morrowind notes and saw that the only way the player could buy slaves in vanilla morrowind was through the Telvanni? Based off of skimming that they just figured the Telvanni were the uber slavers that needed to be knocked down a peg.
Do random clutter chests and sacks respawn their contents or just enemies? For when you come back to a dungeon like a week after clearing it.
I don't think it was them getting confused so much as having a political vendetta unfortunately.
While I'd like having better access to hotkeys/hotbars like that I really like first/close third person.
Is there way to make you look like this IRL and force you to cuddle me 24/7
youtube.com
this is neat but it's not what I'd call playable
want to reinstall Skyrim
remember you have to reinstal Ostim
realize it's not worth it
end up not reinstalling Skyrim
Yeah, everyone agrees it was an easy, feel good political tier decision, but it just logistically doesn't make sense on multiple levels. 1. The Telvanni aren't even the puppet masters of the slave trading in Morrowind, that would house Dres and Halaalu. 2. In order for the Argonians to attack the Telvanni, they'd need to to travel a super far distance up north, and pass through Dres and Hlaalu territory while turning a blind eye to what they were doing (lol) to specifically target the Telvanni. 3. How are the Argonians invading and winning vs their prohibitive tier architectural design? Are they daggerfall characters with a climbing as a major skill? I hope so.
You're putting significantly more thought into it then they did.
There was no justification that passed their minds other than 'slavery bad, punish slavers'.
What school is necromancy a part of? Conjuration or Mysticism? Or even Enchant?
My generic breton spellblade guy after MQ + expansions and the TR epilogue.
and speaking of the epilogue, spoilers: Was that it? You find the mural then decide which of the temple guys dies and then nothing really happens and you don't even get a real reward. Am I supposed to do something with Nerevar's ashes?
its not specifically listed but conjuration seems to be the closest
You decide what the future of Morrowind and the Temple will be in the epilogue, and decide the narrative of what happened at Red Mountain. Is there really more you need? Keep in mind it's after you beat the MQ and Tribunal, so it's basically the very end of the game.
I want to use alchemy and enchanting but not to stupid op shit. What should the cap be with the skills? Probably 100?
tfw sounding out daedric as I try to read it
How long does it take to become proficient at this? I can recognize the characters but actually sight reading is painful; I feel like I'm a toddler again.
If you use alchemy but don't fortify intelligence it's perfectly fine.
If you use enchanting at all the game breaks basically instantly. There is no level of enchanting that isn't insanely overpowered.
more images like these
Recommend me some total overhaul mods or modlists that completely change and fix the game. None of that vanilla trash that purists love.
you don't have to abuse it at all
just use console commands if you're going to abuse alchemy
Huh, I wonder why the dwemer have such huuuge hallways. Not suspicious at all.
Which questlines are worth doing in Anvil? I just cleared out that ayleid ruin for Palagrius's son and have nothing to show for it.
too bad it doesnt get dalle and claude off the board
Fallout 4 looting? Nice.
Cool statue, looks alive. Haha.
I got stupidly sucked into replaying Fallout 4 (though I probably shouldn't since I'm really only doing it for the building).
I wanted to experiment with Morrowind Outlander but it's too in-development to be stable and really worth it, and to be honest after...too many years of manually installing mods, I just cannot endure the suffering of hunting down and manually installing and configuring and patching and cleaning Morrowind mods. So it's compilations for me these days.
The main kingdom one
let's make a bet, you catch me and I pay you back
yea ok sure
he sonic the hedgehogs out of my sight instantly
What in the goddamn
I traveled for miles and no sight of him
When is someone going to make a mod that adds physics to every object?
Even if this existed I wouldn't want it.
He has the boots of lightning speed
No one because that shit is dumb.
Choose a modlist for me.
Does Anon Babble really need a Morrowind thread up
A Gacha thread died for this.
Only melee and magic are viable
Sneak and the crime system are fundamentally broken
Shit game
melee and magic are viable
As opposed to fucking what?
They're all kinda terrible with a lot of annoying mods included
Get OpenMW tho, a lot of kino mods coming out for it now
I guess, there's just not much of an aftermath whatever you do, even with the NPCs involved. It's good intrigue until the mural but then the questline ends without any fanfare. At least having one last talk with whoever you sided with would've been a good way to bring some conclusiveness to the questline.
Oblivion has the worst sense of scale out of all the games
alchemy, and/or enchanting. So you can make your own potions/enchants. Unless you're going full no-magic. Then athletics since your nord ass will be running everywhere anyway.
I'm fairly certain the grid size is actually identical for Morrowind onward. It just feels very different because of movement speed, level design, and the availability of flight.
If we're talking realism scale then the problem is that you need it to not be like Daggerfall where 99.99% of the map is literally empty, so it gets compressed for gameplay reasons.
Really the harsh reality is that sense of scale is almost entirely dictated by level design.
How are the Argonians invading and winning vs their prohibitive tier architectural design? Are they daggerfall characters with a climbing as a major skill?
Regardless of ingame mechanic and lore, I expect a race of oversized lizards to be REALLY fucking good at climbing over any surface.
I'm fairly certain the grid size is actually identical for Morrowind onward
Nah, the scale is brought down in Oblivion and Skyrim, I think Skyrim is slightly bigger but not by much
Apprentice or Atronach for a Breton battlemage? Mostly casting with a minor in Blunt
nvm, going Atronach: being out of mana is a fine excuse to bring out the club
don't know what that other guy is talking about with true form, but I do know when the valenwood is threatened the bosmer can become a swarm of death, like locusts, and devour everything threatening the forest. It happens in one of the books in morrowind/oblivion.
According to OpenMW one cell is 128x128 yds in Morrowind, and 64x64 in later games. However, Oblivion has ~4 times as many (slightly less) cells, so the overall size is roughly the same. Couldn't find numbers for Skyrim.
Atronach is objectively the best sign for every character in the game. I personally hate it because it feels extremely strong.
They're not like locusts, they're worse.
It's an everchanging form of primordial sludge that constantly shifts and eats everything in its path, including itself/other transformed Bosmer. All Bosmer have the ability to do this innately, but it's a one-way trip and if they don't eat themselves/get eaten they can turn into a monster that'll terrorize the area.
They basically only use it if they absolutely have to in war situations, and detest it since their god gave them actual form and reverting to this is sacrilege.
How does Reflect work with things like Absorption? Can you reflect a spell you fail to absorb? Can you reflect a spell you successfully absorbed? Vice-versa?
This game is a lot more fun when I don't try to make a character that can do everything
What is this supposed to be?

Sticking to raising just your majors and minors and going with the factions that suit them is a nice limitation.

Altmer are literally yhe worst race in the game, their weaknesses are irredeemable.
What's he thinking?
that's pretty cool, thanks anon
Playing for the first time, taking it really slowly.
Running a destruction + short blade focused dunmer. People adviced me against going with atronach on my first run and I ignored it. So far I take the restore magicka potions from the guild magues chest now and then.
What is my best option for a reliable source of magicka recovery? Is fortify magicka a viable option?
Christ, it's Dead Money all over again
other than the welfare potions, donation at shrines to absorb the buffs
methods beyond that become increasingly cheesy
You can buy potions from alchemists. I advised against going alchemy on your first playthrough
let it go
*slams ten sujamma*
The rest button
Unlike what the other guy said alchemy is fine, so long as you don't abuse fortify intelligence. It's only broken then, without it it's completely fine. It makes too much money but money in Morrowind is a fucking meme.
Man, I hope there is some sort of Imperial Navy faction that you can join in the future with it's own questline where you travel around on a boat.
Would be dope asf
How the fuck do I get stronger? I'm playing morrowind for the first time and I'm playing as a short blade light armour wood elf and I can't get past the guy on the dwemer bridge... so what do I do? I look for joining the fighters guild so I can improve my combat stats and oh I guess they don't accept short blade and light armour users! So then I find a quest that involves me killing five members of the camonna tong so I go to their house in Balmoral and get stomped! What is there for a wood elf twink to do in this situation?
Yes

I found your problem
it's actually just Hunger concept art
Pay for training; go to other towns and look for more jobs that you can do. Use potions; they're very strong (including alcohol).
Really you get what you deserve for being some little twink though. You built a character that wants to sneak and avoid combat so of course you're getting pinned down and bussy gaped in combat.

thats fair but i like to play as pretty twinks in games but perhaps instead of going for some strong warrior maybe i should just see if i can join the thieves guild and be a sneaky fag
Maybe find a big strong imperial or nord long blade user...?
Your short blade is lower than it should be.
In any case, go back to balmora and buy a demon tanto from ravirr the trader and some sujamma from a club. If you don't have enough money, talk to the blades trainers until they give you some moon sugar, sell it to ravirr.
Snowy granius can be easily defeated if you stand your ground and dodge his spells. He will then run to you when he depletes his magicka and exhaust himself.
Use your demon tanto to summon a bound dagger and drink your sujamma and kill him.
Good luck in Arkngthand.
wait so can someone clear this up for me
how much of Daggerfall is actively procedurally generated as you play? Everyone talks about how the map/dungeons were procedural generated, but doed that mean it's happening on your end as you play and each copy of Daggerfall is personalized, or do they mean to say procedureal generation tools were used during development and a small handful of things were touched up therefore every dungeon of the same name in every copy of Daggerfall has the same layout?
The procgen was run once when bethesda made the game.
Some dungeons (for main quest ) were hand made
Others (almost all) are procedurally generated from one seed, they are the same for everyone
talk to the blades trainers until they give you some moon sugar, sell it to ravirr.
Kek, fucking glowies keeping thr cat man down
I was afraid you'd say that...
I'm playing Oblivion and am thinking of just dropping it. Level scaling is awful, massive hitstop everytime you fight is obnoxious too. Game isn't that interesting either.
Is Morrowind better?
For you? No.
So Morrowind has worse level scaling?
No, but you won't handle missing half of your swings for the first couple of hours
It has no level scaling, but that's irrelevant.
Your complaints are about balance and the feel of combat, both of which are terrible in Morrowind. You also say the game isn't that interesting, so have little to no interest in lore, which is the primary attraction to Morrowind.
So while for many people Morrowind is a better game, you should avoid it.
Make sure to rub the soul trapped gem across your balls daily. He can see you doing it in there
It does actually but only for enemy spawns.
Daedric shrines are a good example of this; visit at a low level and there's scamps. Visit at a high level and there's dremora and golden saints.
There's also a lot of curated and placed monsters to mask this, and placed npcs do not scale.
It has no level scaling, but that's irrelevant.
But that's the main reason why I dropped the game. I already own Morrowind anyway, so I will check it out. But I already know about the complaints of the combat, so I'll just be a mage.
Combat is also much smaller part of morrowind than oblivion.
One thing that always bothered me about Enchanting was that the soul size didn't matter for Constant Effect. Are there any mods that tackle this, or ideas people have to improve the system?
Everything ends up being based off of the capacity of the item instead, but it just feels wrong that Vivec's soul is just as good as a random golden saint's.
I feel like doing something along the lines of allowing constant effect for any soul above say 300 size but making it so the effect is multiplied by soul size/400 AFTER the capacity calculation is done would be a good remedy.
I can't stop you, but you won't like it. When you feel the need to complain, give yourself a nice hard slap in the balls first and remember that you were warned.
Which doesn't matter, since he doesn't care about that part of the game. His entire post was about combat and he said he found the rest of the game uninteresting; Morrowind will prove much worse for him. The quests are typically much less interesting until you get deeper into the game, and the NPCs don't have neat little interactions.
I wish weapon types were abit more different, especially since tamriel_data adds so many.
Maybe war picks and maces ignore a bit more armour every hit, maybe sabres can cause bleeding and swords have a chance to automatically counter if you're blocking with them, something along those lines.
Constant effect items should be the exception, not the rule.
Nearly all enchanted items are cast when used or cast when strikes.
Should I side with her or the more diplomatic altmer battlemage?
As much as I want to follow her orders and be THE LAW upsetting the locals by going around executing people instead of giving the evidence to the proper authorities seems like the more sensible thing to do
For items found in the game, yes. But for items used by players, I think it's inverted. Players will have all of their items enchanted, but likely use only a few ones actively.
I find there's not really anything players can enchant with constant effect that is worthwhile except for 4 points restore fatigue on a belt.
You could stack a small amount of strength or something yes but it isn't transformative in the same way a fatigue belt is or an artifact with resistance is, like putting on dragonbone cuirass as a nord and becoming nearly element immune.
Custom enchanted weapons with massive cast on strike damage are far more transformative.
These things are huge
Uh, what?
Restore fatigue, restore health, fortify attribute/skill, levitate, chameleon, sanctuary, night eye/light, even summons are all massively game changing.
I feel like maybe you just haven't played around with different enchants very much.
Even just one shield with a fortify attribute can give up to 59 in an attribute, which is absolutely massively game changing. That's an increase of 295 carry weight, 59 extra fatigue, and massive DPS increase. A full set of equipment gets even more out of hand; I think you can get like +250 to a stat overall.
Morrowind becomes good once you realize it's trash. Why did you retards try to convince me it's good?
thanks doctor
The Empire hard at work
If only there was a better way to stash my gear
playing bloodmoon for the first time. i've done the MQ and tribunal a few times each but never went past the first couple bloodmoon quests til recently. it's alright. the wolves are annoying as hell.
Dps and carry weight aren't transformative.
Looting a whole bandit cave of iron armor doesn't matter.
Damage in morrowind is pointless to express as a rate per second except when comparing spell effects. Weapon swings are weapon swings, if you can pancake trivial enemies in one attack and kill threats in a few hits, any more damage is pointless.
Summons and levitate sound miserable.
Sanctuary and chameleon I think are worthwhile, but I don't think you're going to get a significant amount of either, and you could probably get more bang out of a 30 second buff cast on use.
Night eye is solid.
The only other thing to do is abuse fortify, which I hate. It's transformative in a bad way because it trivializes the game the same way boots of blinding speed do.
Meanwhile 4 restore fatigue solves walking and is about the only constant effect enchant I would consider worth the money, and ethical. Except for night eye, sanctuary and probably chameleon as you pointed out.
House Telvanni has the best helmet.

So there's no good way to import saves from vanilla engine to OpenMW, huh? That's a shame.
And for some reason it's the objective of several fetch quests, nothing for the other guard helms, just Televanni
modlist?
....
You literally said DPS was transformative because of the massive cast on strike damage. You can get that with fortify strength as well. 250 strength bonus when you have 75 yourself increases strike damage by 140%. So if you have say a daedric longsword going from 55 to 132 damage. That's not as much as you'll get on a cast on strike but it still matters for hit count.
As for the rest, I think you should go try them. Levitate and summons you don't leave on constantly; they're on rings than you take on and off as needed. Sanctuary and chameleon can both be gotten to 100% (at the same time actually), they're rather cheap.
And restore health is even more than fatigue IMO, because you become nearly impossible to kill.
It seems to me like you're underselling how big a difference these things can make. Fortify enough personality and a lot of NPCs at daedric shrines and such won't even be hostile anymore.
Random uppity slave
But nothing that a few of fire touches can't fix
Aaaand already beat the game
I remember years ago I ran that Trial with you and the /tesog/ guild.
Fun times.
I mean they have so many variants, three of the helms in this pic are telvanni headgear.
It's almost like the game itself is quietly pushing Telvanni supremacy. No one’s out here collecting Redoran helmets like Pokémon cards, but you trip over Telvanni helms every time you turn in a side quest. Either dev favoritism or someone on the writing team just really loved looking like a brain coral.
Only for Khajiit, for the Argonians it isn't anymore because the Oblivion remastered's Argonians are canonically from northern black marsh/southern morrowind and yet are plantigrade
Redoran mogs them so hard it's not even funny. Redoran Watchman's Helm is the best helmet in the game.
Also Gah-Julan Bonemold looks fucking sick and it's the only Bonemold variant whose name I bother to remember. Armun-An Bonemold looks so ass, I couldn't even remember what it was called without looking it up.
Cast on strike damage isn't dps, it's a weapon swing, which I already explained.
Enchanting all your equipment with strength to achieve what a single weapon enchant can do is wasteful and pointless.
Cast on strike is also amazing when it isn't used for damage.
You can also do incredible things like cast when strike bound equipment to force npcs to unequip items. Great on darts. Add calm to it as well.
Cast when strike invisibility on self for a vanish weapon.
Or cast when strike levitate 1 point for 30 seconds, paralyze 1 second, and a high duration damage effect to essentially make a crippling poison weapon. Completely transformative; it changes how you will play.
I mean shit if you're just dead set on stacking strength on all your equipment as a fantasy then put restore fatigue on self cast on strike on your warhammer or whatever and it will actually be transformative again.
And as for fortify personality you've just shown another way stacking fortify attribute breaks the game and is thoroughly unexciting.
Constant effecting all your armor to make morrowind boring is a total waste.
I wish they remastered Morrowind instead of Oblivion.
Oblivion is the most boring elder scrolls game there is. I actually haven't played Morrowind properly because of how old it looks and feels, remaster would be cool...
You just have a bizarre interpretation of what's boring to me.
I don't see how fortifying attributes is any more or less exploitative than bound weapon+calm. I also have no idea why you'd enchant something for that instead of just make a spell.
The major advantage of enchanted items over self-casting is the massive mana pool/100% success rate or constant effects. But all the effects you listed are completely achievable with normal self-casts except for the massive damage.
You're in the wrong thread nigga
They will never remaster Morrowind, and even if they did you wouldn't enjoy it.
then fuck off
you wouldn't enjoy it.
Yea probably I wouldn't since I don't like RPG. My favorite elder scrolls is Skyrim either way.
It might be because they already exonerated the Dres from the slavery business in Oblivion, when it was said that they willingly gave up on slavery in exchange for a political marriage with Hlaalu or whatever (even though i'm pretty sure that's not how dunmer great houses work, it's like writing lore about a political marriage between republicans and democrats)
It's not at all how they work and is completely nonsensical.
I enjoy oblivion more than skyrim desu
That's bad faith.
Turning invisible when you connect a weapon attack is in no way comparable with swapping to spells and casting an invisibility spell when you complete an attack.
And the reason you make these into enchants is because it leverages large souls like vivec, which was the initial point of the discussion.
i love u trainwiz
For the NGCDMW users, what percentage do you set the 'starting attributes affected by skills' setting to?
Turning invisible is much worse than 100% chameleon though.
And it still doesn't effectively leverage large souls, since you'll bel limited by the capacity and the increased soul size just means you'll have to recharge it less often. Which is more convenient, but there's no functional difference between a kwama's soul and Vivec's for the cast itself so long as the kwama's is big enough to cast the spell.
We've been over this before. The "tenvanni" questline in Skyrim is so full of mistakes it's impossible it wasn't written by a retard scalie who's lacking a basic understanding of what Telvanni even is
GOD I WISH TES HAD MORE SIDE-STORIES AND SPINOFFS THAT ACTUALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE SETTING

How do I get into tamriel rebuilt? What mods do I need for it to have boats and everything? Is there a modlist I can download that doesn't change textures/graphics too much?
How does vivec travel with nerevar when nerevar was already dead and dagoth ur is now in the heart chamber?
How do I get into tamriel rebuilt?
Go to Ebonheart and from there take a boat to Old Ebonheart
What mods do I need for it to have boats and everything?
Stormrider for your own float of boats
Is there a modlist I can download that doesn't change textures/graphics too much?
Yes, you have modding-openmw.com
With the Telvanni talk cropping up again, I do have to note that, since this is a TR thread and TR is a Kirkbride lore dickriding project, the Dunmer were supposed to all die down to the last Mer if Kirkbride got his way.
Skyrim only had a Red Year full of stupid shit because they were giving Mike what he wanted without actually wiping out one of their races.
Kirkbride is really into apocalyptic death-of-Tamriel shit. He's said that he wanted Valenwood to Wild Hunt almost all their Bosmer so that it's a rare site to see ones that are elves instead of monsters and outright stated that the Thalmor are going to win.
Krikbride is fucking retarded and has proven he fluked out with Morrowind if you look at his recent stuff
shortblade is giving me carpal tunnel and destroying my mouse buttons
Can someone please link the stormrider boat mod? I keep finding outdated/dead nexus links when I google it
Bind M1 to scroll up
Why is everyone playing morrowind now
He just needs a wrangler to keep his retardation under check
If you don't keep him under check, you get shit like time-travelling robots with lightsaber hands.
Yeah, so it's a legitimate use for a large soul because it provides a benefit.
Constant effect enchantments aren't and an item made with just a golden saint is completely indistinguishable from one made out of vivec.
That's been my point more or less this entire time.
Invisibility unlike 100 chameleon is cheap and you don't need it to persist through actions anyway, it will be reapplied when you next strike.
Why aren't you?
Perhaps I phrased my initial post poorly, but my sole complaint was that the constant effect Vivec is indistinguishable from a golden saint. That's the part that's stupid.
I meant as a single bundle so I didn't have to download mods individually but thanks anon
Anon these can be installed automatically

Both Zenimax and Bethesda stated it's canon. Some of the lore is interesting, some of the lore is shit. Ultimately, it'll get lightly retconned come TES6 just like every single Elder Scrolls game lightly retcons the previous ones.
NPC lies about him being essential
What the fuck was his problem?
Unfinished plot thread; look at the helmet after all
Most people in these threads don't even consider Oblivion to be canon
It's not

Well, yeah, I'm in this thread after all
It is and so is Skyrim.
Enjoy!
Kirkbride wanted the Oblivion crisis to be an actual crisis that changed the every aspect of Tamriel. He had some cool concepts, like the Imperials literally not being able to create or imagine the image of an unbroken diamond due to being mind broken over the Talos ban. More interesting than what we actually got, which makes it seem like the Imperials don’t actually give a shit about the ban, despite Talos technically being an Imperial god and not a Nord one
Kirkbride being worshipped like he's some amazing writer is funny when he also wrote shit like this and the cringe trial RP.
Don’t get me wrong. I want to get into Vivec’s sexual goreporn…
…but there’s enough subliminal hints to that idea out there anyway.
Most people will make Muatra jokes as its penis form; hardly anyone has cottoned onto Muatra as a vagina(l Swiss Army Knife). But it’s there: check out how Vivec literally smothers Ysmir’s Thoom to death by shoving her pussy AROUND the Nord Demon’s head.
Note that Sermon 9 is also where Vivec shuts a bitch up with his dick, which is constantly (really by Hogithum extension (geddit)) used as a model of Proper Male Sexual Dominance.
Another thread idea: Vivec’s use of her divine rage as a woman, using her Muatra-as-a-dancing-pole included and her Listening Frame as a yeah-c'mere-baby-you-know-you-wanna-lick-this-all-the-way-up-into-my-void NOM NOM NOM YOUR FUCKING FACE, PIG.
Bro is really fucking weird about rape and is way too into Vivec.
Personally, I'll just stick to the interpretation that everything said about Vivec is bullshit.
dumb dunmer would rather drown in her hatred for me than accept my magical superiority
No wonder the Red Year happened
Personally, I'll just stick to the interpretation that everything said about Vivec is bullshit.
Just like with Mephala all that surrounds those two is complete bullshit made up to trick the masses.
Kirkbride disagrees and so do a significant number of lorefags.
"Each game is it's own canon" theory.
oblivion remaster made me check it out. 50 hours in right now
What are you talking about? Kirkbride would never wipe out the Dunmer. They and the Khajiit are the only races that don’t get erased out of existence in c0da and are the only ones that pass onto the next kalpa (from what I understood)
looks better than the latest monhun
I mean, that's just objectively true, you can cope with shit like the Many-headed Talos all you want but the differences between Morrowind Imperials and Oblivion Inperials are just too significant and go way beyond just the vegetation of the place they live in
Kirkbride made TES into what we all love, but he's also a cringe faggot redditor at times. If he hadn't made his contributions to the PGE we would have been stuck with the boring ass world we had in Daggerfall. Bethesda struck gold with KB and should have kept him around on a leash
Kirkbride I couldn't care less, he wasn't actually involved with Morrowind (or TES in general) as much as people seem to imply.
The lorefags are extremely annoying, especially surrounding Mephala lore, so ignoring them is just what they're asking for by peddling nonsense.
Is there any explanation to why there's always a silt strider carcass in every ashlander camp?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
redoran mask
Indoril armor and robes
Shit/10
It probably marks the camp. We don't see it in game but they are nomads, so their yurts get moved around from time to time. But the strider shells are probably left in place, and mark where they set up camp that season.
Also it's just a useful thing to make a structure out of.
There is a mod for one handed spears but its over a decade old and hasn't been updated in years
so uhhh... what is going on here?
Well this would be my autistic canon ranking if I had to be specific about it
b-b-but...
My C0DA my rules bitch
So speaking of shit post morrowind lore, how did Hlaalu lose their great house status and how the hell did the Redorans emerge from the Red Year as the most powerful house
It's not worth your time considering
Considering how little though went through the Telvanni quest in Skyrim, I wouldn't even bother. Bethesda has lost its passion for the setting.
The Redoran had an army which they used to defeat/withstand both the oblivion crisis and the Argonian Invasion, so they emerged as the most powerful house by default
It's funny how Ordinator armor is treated as THE Nerevarine set but the process of getting it is so arduous that you're better off with chitin or something.
bloodmoon mostly canon
what for?
so arduous
kill a dude and loot him
Hack writers thought "FANS' LEAST FAVORITE HOUSE = DEAD! HAR HAR HAR" without thinking about it past that
Redoran rising in influence through harsh times makes sense, but Hlaalu failing absolutely does not
Ordinator armor is treated as THE Nerevarine set
Never seen or heard this
ignore that anon, he is clearly on skooma
What are you talking about? You can get a helmet and cuirass from a low level quest(solve the serial killer problem in vivec). As a bonus this lets you kill more guards for their armor without even getting a bounty since they attack you first! This is actually almost guaranteed to happen the first time you play, netting you several complete suits, and since they're better than 90% of the armor in the game you'll probably end up wearing it for the whole main quest.
It's also thematically apropriate.
anyone else likes using the standard classes instead of making a custom one?
my favourite piece of post morrowind lore is house sadras
en.uesp.net
just look at all that amazing worldbuilding
based cat
Realistically it almost makes sense.
Hlaalu is all about trade and industry, most of which got totally destroyed leaving morrowind impoverished and isolated.
Dres is in Hlaalu's situation, minus any outside support, plus RACE WAR, so they're totally fucked one way or another.
Redoran would rapidly regain popularity since it's the only house able/willing to fight and defend the people.
Telvanni would be almost entirely unaffected, probably making them even more unpopular than they already are.
Indoril has been completely ideologically gutted and would probably collapse internally even without the red year(Almsivi is DEAD and Nerevar actually came back, only to tell them to go fuck themselves and leave)
Not at all. Well, I can't speak for your heart, but I had been setting up the fall of Lie Rock as far back as I [don't remember]. If anything, I wanted Morrowind to be what the red-headed stepchild always deserves in the Faulknerian tradition: to be taken out behind the shed and shot in the head with a silenced .44 caliber Derringer. I'm actually more heartbroken that moar of Morrowind wasn't utterly destroyed. But I'm thankful for what was. "None shall survive"-- ring a bell? Or eight? It should, I think thank thunk -- around 2008 I was hinting at the Red Year.
He wanted them all to die.
Kirkbride is a hack and the sooner people come to terms with this the better.
It's funny how Ordinator armor is treated as THE Nerevarine set
It's...literally fucking modeled in-world to represent Indoril Nerevar? That's why the fuck it's named that. What are you talking about?
Also, it's not hard to get. Also, you can just taunt a guard into attacking you if you're desperate, but there's multiple instances in the game where you kill them or they wind up dead.
They're actually in TR btw, though their whole thing there is being a fully imperialized hlaalu family that even converted to the nine divines religion and built a chapel in their town, which kinda goes directly against their one gimmick from the main series
You have 2 ways of getting a full set for nearly zero effort.
That's a rare L for the TR team. It's an interesting concept, though
morrowind lore
posts shitrim lore
The dead body is the best storage option because it's infinite storage, the crate you spawn will eventually run out and you'll have to spawn a new one
Was I misremembering Daggerfall or was Morrowind the one with the skeleton castle and adamantium armor?
What's he got against gingers?
Oh, so it's that dude from dark souls 3. Neat. Makes more sense then why it was barely recognizable in the book iirc, and completely terrifying. Don't get how bosmer are ancient elves then if they came from primordial sludge, unless all elves do, or elves just racially convinced themselves they were and accidentally gifted themselves an incredibly pyrrhic deus ex machina card to play when shit gets bad.
love bonemold
You're probably thinking of Fort Firemoth as the skeleton castle, it was a free plugin Bethesda released to show off the capabilities of the construction set and added a castle filled with a billion skeletons. Adamantium armor was also added to Morrowind in the Tribunal expansion pack, but another free plugin added adamantium armor to a variety of smiths in Vvardenfell.
both games have adamantium armor
as for the skeleton castle you mean a castle full of skeletons?
Morrowind has Firemoth which is full of them
1. The fact Helseth banned slavery in Morrowind for no reason was incredibly dumb and I've never seen a good argument in the setting for it. Morrowind would already be going through a crisis with the Temple undergoing massive change, upending slavery would've changed the status quo even more, and that's not ignoring the whole oblivion crisis (I don't remember if the ban was before or after the crisis, it doesn't make sense either way). Helseth isn't that powerful in Morrowind, there's fuck-all political desire from any houses except optimistically a few in Hlaalu to ban it, and Helseth doesn't even strike me as someone to ban slavery if it didn't benefit him. Which it didn't.
2. House Hlaalu should've been able to have sustained a nest-egg from being absurdly rich and controlling so much of Morrowind. Them suffering in the aftermath of all the crisises makes sense, them becoming outlawed doesn't.
Bethesda had fuck-all plans for the Dunmer and Morrowind after Morrowind.
Didn't expect it to look so gay
Yo
confusing whimsy with homosexuality
???
Which is better OpenMW Or MGE XE
Dres has been practicing slavery for 4000 years. Their whole society is built on slave labor. They maintain cohesion via slavery. They are the breadbasket of Morrowind because of slavery. The population of Morrowind - and much of Cyrodiil, as much as the Empire hates to admit it - is sustained by slavery. Dres banning slavery because of a political marriage with Helseth, a puppet king with no power outside the walls of his palace, is the dumbest shit imaginable.
Which mods do you need to make morrowind look like this?
Yeah, especially when Hlaalu itself is relying on slavery for its plantations and mines. It would not have been a popular decision in-house even. It's just a "slavery bad so we have to remove it from our made up setting" situation and it really sucks when real life sentiments decides the course of action instead of in universe reasons
They're not elves at all actually, they're just glamored to look like elves. They were made by an entirely different god from the rest of the elves, the same one that made all the plants.
You will never be Numidium
You will never tell the god of your universe "No."
Your skin is weak flesh, not superior brass
You will never find the love of your life in the vast emptiness of the Aetherium plane

I like OpenMW because I'm only interested in small gameplay tweaks and vanilla friendly visual mods.
Wut.
Skub is great
opinions on slavery?
you guys aren't one of those filthy abolitionists are you?
slavery is cool and neat and totally justified and only a Hlaaulu would think otherwise
Any way to get this or something similar on OpenMW?

Y'ffre, the nature god, took the primordial ever-shifting sludge that made up the universe, and used it like playdoh to make the Wood Elves.
That's why they worship him/her through the Green Pact for bringing them out of the shifting chaos the world used to be back in the way-back times. Y'ffre says "preserve Valenwood" and the Wood Elves say "yes, boss".
They can also perform a ritual to revert some of them back into ever-shifting sludge monsters to defend Valenwood in a Wild Hunt. The Empire was planning to invade Valenwood back in the First Era, and they sent the first recorded Wild Hunt to fuck up Skyrim and killed the king costing Skyrim their hold on Morrowind and High Rock and stopping the whole invasion plan.
Telvanni: Of course we use slaves.
Dres: Of course we use slaves.
Indoril: Of course we use slaves.
Hlaalu: Slavery is an outdated institution, we need to keep up with the modern world. Of course we use slaves.
Redoran: Slavery is cringe because you're weak. But it's tradition so I'll fight for your right to own slaves.
Dagoth: It's OK Nerevar, you're one of the good ones, but the rest of your kind have to be slaves.
Slavery should be in almost all settings not set in the modern era.
It's just how the world worked.
In Morrowind, I would've liked to see the system for non-beastman slaves explored a bit more. Beastman being beaten and treated like literal animals made sense, but what were other slaves used for? Like a random Imperial slave for example, would he be a housenigger or just throw his ass in the egg mine too?
Or rarer species, like the Altmer slave. A female Altmer slave I could see being used for anything but manual labor; what's that look like? Do slaves ever have their cuffs removed so they can cast magicka? Obviously there's a risk they teleport away, but if you know they marked nearby then it could be safe enough, and they could be very productive that way.
bold words coming from a guy wearing an akulkahan mask
skub is shit wtf are you talking about?
Bosmer used to be shapeshifting slime monsters, then they got into a civil war and the side that chose to stop shapeshifting and become Elves won and imprisoned all the others in an underground mass grave(they're immortal because they have no true forms).
You should run now.
It's evil and bad, I became the Archmagister of the Telvanni to outlaw all non-mer slavery on threat of death and go out of my way to free any of my beast race friends I see. Helping out my homeboy hood rats is only like 33% of the reason honestly, I mainly do it because I just really fucking hate elves and it brings me joy to piss them off.
homeboys
You farmtools do nothing but tribal warring in your "homeland".
ESOshit
just walked into Neloth's tower, merc'd that bosmer, walked out and no one cared. Telvanni is great

they'd just ignore you then maybe get together to take you down for infringing upon their rights as ancap citizens
where did you get that.
he want's to play as the mega crack head khajjit
ancap
That's not what the Telvanni are and I don't know why you keep saying that in every thread. They don't give a single fuck about rights or NAPs or money or any other Ancapistani retardation.
Telvanni are a "might makes right" backstabbing meritocratic society built on Boethiah and Mephala's teachings. If you have a big enough magic dick to command respect, they'll listen while likely secretly plotting to kill you. This is seen in the coded messages between Divayth and Aryon with Aryon saying that they'll listen to Divayth because he's wiser and better at magic.
Nah I haven't saw a M*ckrom yet
If they don't do what I say then I'll just float up their towers and slap them until they do. I killed Therana to free her Khajiit slave, I'm cool killing the rest too if they don't obey me.

Putting crossbows up against the bed like that seems like a really terrible idea.
You could roll off the bed in your sleep and accidentally shoot up a bolt up your ass.
They're not even really backstabbing. The subterfuge is relatively limited. They just have no respect for the social contract unless it can be personally enforced. So if they can beat you up and take your shit, that's your problem for not being strong enough to stop them or aligning yourself with someone stronger willing to protect you. And in Mundus this means magically, since mages are so much stronger than everyone else.
The fact that they don't organize duels or whatever and are able to attack whenever and however they want is the subterfuge, but since those are the rules of the game they play it's not underhanded or treacherous or anything.
