Prime 4 is going be on Switch 1. Also Rhythm Heaven Groove (the one game I actually do care about from Nintendo) is going to be on Switch 1 too. I probably wouldn't buy a Switch 2 just to play it, though.

Looking at all my Switch 1 games. They´re mostly retro stuff and I´m fine with it. No reason to get new stuff since everything is censored paypig slop nowadays. No thank you.

Where's the "gimmick" part? Is there a point in Mario Kart World where suddenly you need to point at the screen and shoot something out of the air with a turtle shell? Or you need to use the mouse function to "change gears"? There's nothing gimmicky about MKW, those are just mild annoyances you have.

I have the Switch 1 is probably the console I bought the most games for got when Splatoon 2 came out.

Now I don't really play it, my preferred way to play video games was always sitting in a good chair looking at a PC monitor from 1 meter or so away.

I have been heavily burned by the PS5 where I bought the console expecting tons of exclusives day 1 and I got jackshit I can't believe it's now a 5 year old console. It's basically just a PS4 Pro++ I had a PS4 with an SSD so the PS5 was an incredibly underwhelming upgrade.

Now I look at the Switch 2 and wonder if I spent 550€ to get the Mario Kart 8 version what would I do with it?

I replayed Zelda like 1 year ago, there no grind games I can turn on for like 30 mins a day to justify it. Mario Kart 8 is fantastic but all my friend who I used to play 4 player couch coop now have kids it's not Corona anymore where they're forced to stay inside.

It's probably going to cost 400€ in say 2~3 years, it's going to have at last 5 really good games and SD Express card are going to be decently priced too. Bet they'll upgrade a ton of Switch 1 titles with free preformance upgrades too.

So buying it just to play Mario Kart 8 seems like an incredible waste honestly. I am not getting my moneys worth right now.

Also I get to skip the first units made that come with tons of defects.

Honestly I would have no issues buying it, if it came with say Super mario odyssey 2 or new Zelda or actually good Pokemon or new Fate Emblem or some JRPG.

But right now it's Mario Kart and Donkey Kong who I'm not interested in the last.

Open world is a gimmick.

I´ll get these games down the line, as I´ve always done. No reason to pay premium when I can get them at better prices down the line. I´m smart and my backlog is monstruous.

It's just the Switch again but a bit stronger and bigger. Only now the joycons snap in with magnets instead of the slider thing. That's not enough for me when I ended up primarily using my Switch to play old NSO games anyway and I have no desire to play Gamecube games on the Switch 2.

1 and 3 are good. 2 is okay. All three are fun, except for the ice boss in 2.

I've never bought any system at launch, even when a system launched with a few titles I really want to play out of the gate, and what they've shown so far for Switch 2 isn't exactly motivating me to do so here.

Prime 4 is the only game I'm even slightly interested in. Hated everything else shown.
