I've played the shit out of it, I've seen all there is to see. I want a sequel instead of endless battlepass bullshit. Give me a new, larger, more varied map, sexier women, more building options, SIGNIFICANTLY better combat, better mod support and less jank. You can't squeeze any more blood from this stone.

I hate respawning instead of a normal save system, it' absurdly unimmersive
I hate that enemies act like MMO mobs, with short artificial aggro range and fast respawning to the point it's basically in your sight
I hate that all bosses respawn in particular and nothing you do matters, like wiping out a village
I hate that there are no normal cities with normal traders and quests save for that one city where there is nothing to do anyway
There are other issues too, but the fact that it is ultimately crafting mmo is the worst.

My least favorite part of survivalcrafts, nearly all of them are "deserted island" scenarios where you start by knocking rocks together for hours until you suddenly leap to the industrial age.
I want there to be some kind of existing established civilization with NPCs. A couple towns with different factions, and the rest being wilderness.

I love the minecrafts too, but there are thousands of copycats that are all exactly the same stoneage start empty island.
I want Minecraft with civilized NPCs to interact with. Palworld is almost there in that regard, a few settlements and wandering NPCs but not much to do there.

Is conan exiles good for the gooners? I heard it has sex mods or some shit but is that for real? I feel like the game is dying a dog's death.

That would require talent and effort to make. The whole point of these survival crafting games is to just plop in an easy to make template.

It does have some sex mods but it's all just animation viewer stuff.

i have never played this game with other people and never will, the build mode in this game is the best shit. i just usually make some huge palace dedicated to one of the different gods, fill it with half naked women, take up sorcery, capture people, and bring them back to the altar to sacrifice them.
i did all the boss stuff once where you go to each civilization's biome. the underwater lemurian place with some old god trying to enter the exiled lands, was pretty damn cool.

I basically just built thematic buildings and settlements constantly then decorated stuff too. The actual gameplay is boring as fuck, but the building is possibly the best you can find in videogames.

yeah i wont argue that, the combat isn't the greatest but i like the exploration and you can just climb wherever you can to reach places where other games would just have invisible walls and you can find stuff like the mountaineer.

I tried pvp last night and 2 fags blew up my sandstone base that had next to nothing in it. I know I was on a pvp server but I don't see the point in blowing up some randos mudhut near the starting area.
Game's okay, I think it's better than the Dune game that's coming out soon(been in the beta since January)

Online games are always garbage nowadays unless you're playing with friends on specific tailored servers. In Ark the endgame guilds (that you genuinely can't even harm stat wise mind you) will just prowl the starter beaches whenever someone joins the server to endlessly kill them and/or lock them in cages so they can't even play at all. It's hilarious, but obviously also destroys the game's multiplayer.
Generally you just have to either find a not garbage server (good luck) or become extremely scummy and abuse exploits to fuck with the big guilds.

The problem with these survival games is that you need a co-ordinated effort to loot and fuck a large clan side ways by the time you finish playing in a weekend. It makes it a bit interesting since you are speed running things and even if you wipe you maintain your high level character. The problem with Conan Exiles was the protection timers but in Dune it seems like there will be faction wars which is a blessing for PvP.

Yamatai and Khitan ones are good if you’re into ancient Japan/China respectively - Poitain is more for the armors and weapons only if wanting to go full Medieval knight, Argos and Aquilonia good for ancient Greece stuff. Turns is hit or miss, Frontier is meh.

its good for building because you get some cool areas in the map; lots of beaches, different forest biome that doesn't rain all the damn time, the stormglass building set which is one of the nicer sets i think especially if you want to build dark cathedral type stuff. you can use the set on both maps.
it goes on sale quite often, so don't pay full price for it.

I've played it to death already. The last time I played was the last content patch, which was also the last battlepass patch. There's nothing left for me to do, and they've spent almost a year now on "fix" patches yet don't seem to have fixed anything and only reverted a few of balance changes.

I still get constant urges to come back, but I always end up reminding myself, "Why?" Modded singleplayer is infinitely better than online multiplayer.

I don't play this game often enough to have a preferred place. I set up my bases where I haven't done this yet for variety sake

Maybe once a year, my friend and I will pick this up and play for a week before dropping it. Same thing with Minecraft and Don't Starve Together. Still enjoyed the game though.
