How hard was he really?
Now that the dust has settled
Pretty hard. Probably the hardest boss in the entire souls franchise. I mean, if you go fight him like you would normally do any boss. You can ofc make a cheese build
Not at all, people need to git gud. Also this fight should have been Godwyn, not Radahn.
Miquella? Yeah he was rock hard
He's half the reason why they're doing two co-op games right now btw.
If you just didn't handicap yourself it was easy.
But if you wanted to git gud he was awful boss.
God the way he stands and walks looks so fucking stupid.
Miyazaki was a fucking liar saying "the final boss won't be the hardest one in the dlc"
Is that mogh?
He's hard.
I didn't used any of the meme builds and got pissed because i was lucky. He just stood there for a couple of seconds, almost like he wanted to help me to finally win :/
It was the first time in the entire series that I said fuck it and but on the most broken shit to just see the credits.
Souls bosses used to be fun and fair not whatever dogshit Radahn is.
I beat him two nights ago for the first time ever and the only real problem I had was his holy damage in the second phase. Eventually I looked up two ways to mitigate holy damage (Golden Braid and a shield that blocks 84% of holy damage) and then he wasn't so bad. I was surprised by his reputation, but now I'm just another fucker saying 'um well he wasnt dat hard actully guys' and I can easily point to another boss that gave me more trouble, but I don't know why we find the hard bosses hard.
It wasn't hard if you actually used the tools the game offers you like a certain Ash of War you can find literally 5m in fresh from a new run on the base game
Yeah. He uses a mohg attack too.
Depends on your build. If you're a faggot who uses bleed and greatshields it probably didn't take too long. If you weren't a pussy, it was the hardest fight in the series.
I didn't find him that hard. Jump attacks with two ultraheavy weapons kind of trivialize the whole game and I hope for whatever new game they're balanced better.
He got nerfed btw.
If you try to duel him like it's a fighting game, it's hard. If you employ even the slightest amount of underhandedness he instantly fucking folds. Two applications of rot basically deal 2/3 of his HP.
Reminder he was nerfed.
If you didn't beat him in the first few weeks, you didn't beat him.
define hard. hes just stupid dmg and you need to learn his retard pattern. if you can deal with load screens and constant restarting to figure it out, its very easy. its not what id call difficult. extremely punishing for learning retard patterns or you can look up the cheese builds. like you put retard tombstone shield on and laugh at it. like saying mogh was easy when you one shot him with kamehamaha beam. but none of this shit is what id call hard. meme would be artificial difficulty.
shield is cheesing him tho
Malenia was much harder
Oh yeah I forgot about that. I don't know how badly he got nerfed but in my defense I did beat him completely solo. Please let me have this... or a part of this.
endure
Pussy nigga, LMAO.
Easier than Rellana
thats every elden shart boss, game stinks.
Sure.
You won. It's a better boss post-nerf anyway. Annoying if you're a gamer cred person, I guess.
ntb just like block when he had attack and attack when hes open
Miquella put Radahn's soul in Mohg's body so he could be his gay husband and replace Marika
Trvke
That's not how builds work. If you're constantly changing loadouts for every boss then you're not playing it like an RPG.
No, but I was a chad Sekiro shield user. The only thing that kept getting me is holy light pillar fuck fest combo finisher in phase 2, because it was almost random whether or not I could block it.
She wasn't all that hard desu, I had more trouble with the chaos guy probably because I was a incantation spammer
Harder than Fatalis and Alatron but Extremoth before Iceborn was harder.
*Alatreon
*Iceborne
Also harder than the GU EX Deviants.
How are you constantly changing loadouts
You have multiple builds that rely on different tools to trivialize content consistently
Endure + any good spell or any other offensive AoW
2H AoW spam with stagger immunity for Crit spamming
Lifesteal spam with Hyper Armor AoWs
Shields + Thrusting Weapons
Parry
And all benefit from having certain spell buffs like the best Divine Resist one which you definitely have points for vs Gay Radahn
You can legit beat the entire game from the beginning to the main game end to full DLC with Endure, Giant Hunt > Lion's Claw, Shields, Lifesteal + Wild Strikes etc.
The main issue is thinking every single thing in the game should be viable at the same rate/power which isn't true for any RPG, and even then the game provides you with enough versatility that you can also change some minor stuff in your build like how Wild Strikes rapes Rellana but is shit vs Radahn so you just swap it for Lion's Claw on the same fucking weapon with same fucking stats
Render that webm again right now. Quite frankly I shan't watch it as it is.
With the disclaimer that I didn't change my build from my backhand blades for it other than finally using the Physik, which had the opaline hardtear in it, it was the hardest boss in the game.
Cross-slash was definitely the main issue with it being mostly undodgeable, especially since the first hour and a half of attempts I did before the first offline PS update where getting hit by any of it stun-locked you into taking all of it, which was a one-shot (I finally found out near the end if I spammed the crap out of L2 it just barely got out the Blind Spot ash-of-war which could i-frame it but you couldn't roll, run or jump out of it)
You don't care for it anyways, anon.
Godwynfags got BTFO by lorechad so hard they abandoned the thread and made another inflammatory one
I can't even beat Gwyn
By far the hardest in the game.
I don't even know what you're talking about. I just clicked a webm and could not let it stand. That's good though thank you for fixing it.
800x600 video of squished widescreen footage
What are you even doing anon? How the hell do you end up with that?
He is probably the hardest Fromsoft boss but it really isn't due to some kind of intricate, varied, and subtle moveset you need to learn over the course of hours of play. His second phase is just fill the arena with light puke and do delay attacks to catch panic rolls and cloud as much of your vision with stupid holy holy damage explosions and beams of light. I'd say he is a pretty poorly designed boss. I beat him after about 2.5 hours of trying before he got nerfed, I didn't use a shield but I did just end up getting good enough at phase 1 to go into phase 2 with max heals and just sort of brute forced it by trading hits with him and having as much holy resist as I could get. He also is a joke if you use greatshield so there is that.
I personally think that SotE's bosses mostly kind of suck. They just feel like they are designed to kill players. They don't feel like actual monsters or people, they don't feel like actual challenges, they feel like they're designed for you to die and post on social media how hard they are and to have an overreaction when you finally beat them. Every combo is too long, every delay is too dumb, every second phase just starts to shit out AoEs for no reason. As I said, I beat the entire thing solo and I don't use shields, I just don't enjoy the direction they've gone with the series.
Dark Souls 1 bosses feel quaint and easy now, but for the most part they feel more like actual bosses/creatures. Their attack patterns are more basic and slow and they have too little HP for how buff you can get, but I dunno man. They are just better designed. Dark Souls 2 had some decent ideas but the animations are laughably bad. DS3 is basically ER-Lite, so it has better bosses by virtue of them just being toned down versions of ER bosses.
I thought he was easy
I got filtered at godskin duo
Not hard, just not a good fight. The second phase doesn't really go with the spirit of the game. It's just a bunch of anime slop flash and that's it. No skill required to beat him. Just dodge randomly and you win
As hard as you want to make it since the game gives you so many tools to just obliterate encounters.
I personally think that SotE's bosses mostly kind of suck.
yes and id add most arent even finished. i get clipped into the hippos skin every time. shoved up against the wall staring at his insides because it shoves me into him. cant move or even see anything.
it depends.
the boss was clearly designed around cheating mechanics and isn't actually that bad if you use them. namely
tower shields with spears
summons/mimic tear
sorcery
scadutree fragments
then it isnt very bad at all. however if you attempt to fight the boss 'clean' or 'legit', meaning weapon and rolling, you'll get btfo a lot and there is one specific movechain on phase two that's a guaranteed death no matter what (if you get hit by the knockup the first undodgeable follow up WILL one shot a 60 VIT character with no scadutree fragments), though it is technically doable if you dodge LITERALLY everything and know LITERALLY every telegraphed anime move
people will point at this and say it is 'intended', but i dont understand how a boss that will take upwards of 200+ hits to kill and will kill you in exactly one hit can be 'intended'. its just artificial difficulty at that point, merely learning the entire moveset isnt enough, you have to stress test yourself for 5-10 minutes straight and one slip up sends you right back to the bonfire
Launch Base Game Radahn was harder.
Dunno, never played the DLC. Just watched streamers do it, and Caleb did a no-hit club speedrun that Kai Cenat copied the build for. That was funny.
twitch.tv
I still remember when we thought the video leaks of this boss was fake because how shitty it looked
kek
i dont even blame them
the whole femboy + radahn thing was ridiculous by itself
Literal actual unironic artificial difficulty. This fight along with Malenia pushed the Souls combat system as far as it can possibly go. If they reuse the same fucking combat mechanics as they have since 2009 in the next game, it's over.
Depends on your build. Very easy to trivialize with shields, very hard if you try to roll everything on a glass cannon build.
The biggest issue for me was the visual pollution, I think this was the first From boss where it was hard to see what the fuck was going on on screen.
I had a lot harder time on Malenia though, not even close.
I find bosses hard because I play on a potato and have garbage FPS.
cheating mechanics
shields are now cheating
lol, he was designed to get people to stop exclusively relying on rolling
along with Malenia
malenia is literal baby mode after going through the DLC, plus even the wind can stagger her
Yeah WTF did he mean by that? Even post-nerf PCR is by far the hardest thing in dlc, pre-nerf he was completely different league to everything else in whole franchise. I think Bayle is SUPPOSED to be harder, in the sense that Bayle is technically scaled higher than Radahn, but Bayle’s base stats are pathetically low, and his moveset is quite readable and intuitive to avoid most of the time. You’ll never get combo’d from 100 to 0.
PCR has a base hp of 3168, area scaling of x7.468, and Scadu bonus scaling of x1.95 (46,134 final hp).
Bayle has a base hp of 2712, area scaling of x7.672 and Scadu bonus scaling of x2 (41,612 final hp). So despite having higher area scaling than PCR, Bayle has way lower hp. If you put Godrick into Bayle’s scaling data he would have 51,456 hp.
Everything about behind scenes numbers, and From’s past DLC’s, tell us that Bayle is supposed to be the ultimate boss. Like Kalameet or Midir, and his area-scaling backs that up. But they just gave him such pathetic base stats, that he doesn’t stand a chance to live up to that. Meanwhile Radahn got nearly as high scaling, but got beefy base stats and the most oppressive moveset they’ve ever designed, including (pre nerfs) the single worst attack they’ve ever made. And yes, cross slash got nerfed twice, but only review copies saw its original form, where all 3 hits true-combo’d into eachother, since they all used to have Collosal weapon tier hitstun instead of first two swings having light hitstun.
At launch he was completely ridiculous. Now he's about even with Malenia, although there are fewer ways to cheese him.
Becoming accustomed to a badly designed fight doesn't make the design good. Malenia doesn't belong in a Souls game and neither do half the bosses in Elden Ring in general desu senpai.
badly designed
waterfowl is the only move that requires any form of knowledge, everything else is piss easy to dodge and punish
Were you using the easy mode fragments?
Captcha: YKGAY
this was the first From boss where it was hard to see what the fuck was going on on screen
looking at this makes me feel like im having a stroke
everything else is piss easy to dodge and punish
It objectively is not, you are merely accustomed to it. The skillset that fights like this are testing have nothing to do with the skillset that the entire rest of the game utilizes. Boss fights in Elden Ring feel like you step into an entirely different game for however long it takes you to memorize the fight, then you exit back to a Souls game.
I don't know why zooming out the camera seems to be such a foreign concept to them.
she literally just jumps and swings at you, she doesn't even do anything fancy outside waterfowl and shadow clone jutsu
The guy you're replying to is a hopeless zoomer retard, but Malenia specifically has other serious design flaws like excessive and inconsistent hyper armor, her shadow clone attack making a damaging column that can easily kill you before you can react if she decides to use the move on top of you, and very blatant input reading punishes. That said her stats aren't actually that impressive so you don't need a clean fight to kick the shit out of her, at least in NG+0. Unlike say, Gaius, who has a total fucking horse shit AND absurd stats. But base game bosses? Other than Malenia? Baby shit. Maybe Maliketh could be a problem on much higher NG+ cycles but I wouldn't know
entire rest of the game
block attacks with shield
this fight
blocking attacks with shield heals her to full
It only took me about 2 hours worth of tries, but I didn't mind adapting my build to better suit the fight.
First phase was fire throwing spear and normal greatsheild. Second phase was fire throwing spear and holy greatshield. I used that black flame protection spell as well and had skadoo blessing level 19.
I think the people who really shit their pants over him were probably all doing the med rolling while dual weilding or two handing routine. The game is only as hard as you make it and that's the hardest way to try to fight this boss.
Lmao fair.
I should have added "due to particle effects", I was thinking about how every other team ninja boss (not to mention your character) is exactly like consort radahn while from bosses typically aren't.
is it true that this was nerfed?
god forbid you need to change things up but you can easily outdamage her healing, already done a heavy weight + shield only run
Yeah
Alright, but i am roleplaying a character that only uses dragon weapons and low level incantations, so i am limiting my options somewhat. What do?
yeah its pretty easy now but on release it was hard as fuck ngl
dlc was too shit for me to get to him so I'll never know
blocking attacks with shield heals her to full
It actually barely hesls her. Even blocking an entire waterfowl dance will heal her like 15%. The only move that gives her a significant amount of health back is her grab.
I've been playing Souls games since the beginning. Whether or not you subjective think fights are "baby shit" is entirely irrelevant. The way that the boss fights challenge you is not the way that Souls fights are supposed to challenge you. Wind up attacks with weird rhythms and rollcatches are not challenging in a good way, they're just exercises in rote memorization. The game either devolves into a rhythm game where you press the roll button at the right time, or metagming retardation where you stack enough buffs to skip the rhythm game segment and cheese it. Or, you do what From seems to have intended, and use Ashes of War that trivialize the fights completely.
i actually had a much harder time with maliketh on my RL1 than malenia
Yes. On release Radahn had some combos that were actually impossible to dodge through even at light equip load. They were slowed to the point where you can mid roll through them. Also they turned down the visual effects for better clarity.
clean' or 'legit', meaning weapon and rolling
retard
no scadutree fragments
self-imposed challenge, don't cry about it
I believe it. What makes Maliketh easy is that he has the constitution of a piece of wet toilet paper and only okay damage, but in RL1 you're dead if you get touched either way, and Maliketh is fucking great at touching you.
Malenia IS waterfowl dance. The difficulty of the boss comes down to RNG of when/if she decides to use and whether or not you have figured out some sort of unintuative bullshit dance routine or meme build of your own to deal with it or not. I tried out a mod that stopped her from doing it and I was able to kill her first try with multiple different builds.
People were blinded by the spectacle of the second phase and didn't slow down to figure out how it works, instead immediately jumping to cosplaying Patches to get through it. Miquella produces a bunch of afterimages of Radahn, but they're mostly mirages and don't hit anywhere near as hard as the real guy does. Figure out which ones are mirages and which ones are Radahn and you'll do fine.
Also I laughed at everyone who got grabbed twice. It's his most telegraphed attack and piss easy to dodge and punish. Fucking how do you get caught TWICE?
There’s definitely more reliable ways to “cheese” him than Malenia. The true cheese tactics have been patched out (using stealth and making him phase through floor while he looks for you), but there’s easy ways to script the fight. Euporia Twinblade can completely skip phase 2 if you play phase 1 well.
Malenia cheeses or scripted fights have to be super precise and calculated, since she can instantly transition into a hyper armour move at nearly any time. In order to actually stunlock her you can’t let her ever leave hitstun animations, because even 1 frame in neutral is enough to go into a unpunishable string of like 6 attacks. You can’t rely on poise breaks outside of full scripted stunlocks, since she can just choose to ignore them.
The images don't do much damage but the main problem is they can stun lock you sometimes into getting hit by the real one
The way that the boss fights challenge you is not the way that Souls fights are supposed to challenge you.
Your favorite game (DS1) does not challenge the player beyond asking them not yo be completely retarded
Wind up attacks with weird rhythms and rollcatches
Literally only Margit does this. 3 years later and you're crying about a tutorial boss who does 5 damage and has like a thousand health.
Or, you do what From seems to have intended, and use Ashes of War that trivialize the fights completely.
You don't even know what the good ashes are and would fuck up using them if told.
Fucking how do you get caught TWICE?
Greeding. Never underestimate how hard I can greed an opening.
They did a lot more than that.
They extended his recovery times for nearly every attack (usually by 0.66s, which doesn’t sound much, but its difference between landing attacks and not), and a few other changes including speeding up one his attacks so the dodge timing was now the same as the other times he uses an identical animation, previously the dodge on his “rip swords out of dirt” timing varied wildly based of which combo he did prior to burying them. Exact same animation, but pre-nerf it had 2 completely seperate dodge timings.
Your favorite game (DS1) does not challenge the player beyond asking them not yo be completely retarded.
Good. That's the entire point of the series, punishing you for not being observant/careful to draw you into the world more and act more like an adventurer would if they were actually in that situation. Over time the series stopped using difficulty in this way and the roleplaying elements have severely suffered because of it.
The thing about Malenia is that she's just not that strong. If you can dodge or block waterfowl and dodge scarlet aeonia and the shadow clones, you barely even need to learn the rest of her moves well, because the amount of damage you'll be putting out will make hers unimpressive by that point in the game. Unlike Hyper Radahn, who will tear you apart like abstract art even at 70% damage negation. Malenia is executionally a bit harder to do perfectly, but Hyper Radahn leaves absolutely no room for error and gives very little room to breathe, even in phase 1.
Yes, same as original radahn in caelid
Gaius is more bullshit than hyper radahn
I don't think Bayle is meant to be interpreted as harder, since he gives less runes and a less unique death message
Miquella is harder
DS1 had laughably badly designed stat systems and all of its sequels and successors have more variety AND better balance, especially elden ring.
equip greatshield
equip bleed spear
pretty easy
Daily reminder that he did nothing wrong
pick fight with a boar
get gored by hyper aggressive raging cunt
If nothing else it felt appropriate. Also just like for radahn, shields trivialize him.
I beat him on my first try so that should tell you enough. These games are not difficult.
Pre-nerf or after? And what build?
I don't know.
I was sick of the dlc by then so when i saw the dumb afterimage attacks i just summoned two people and hid behind a shield with multiple buffs.
Just didn't feel like doing the fight honestly.
he did nothing right either
I beat him on my 5th try no summons just rolling/jumping with a 2h great stars.
Owl Father, inner genichiro, ss isshin are harder charnless
Are they? The only one I struggled on more was Inner Father NG+4 Demon Bell Charmless
The guy you're replying to has never played sekiro
don't cry about it
not crying about anything, op asked a question and i am giving the answer
more like 'dev imposed challenge', do the little dance and play by the new rules (that were never a thing, were never asked for and everyone hated) oooooooor get oneshot by anything regardless of your VIT or armor. also you deal no damage whatsoever and the multiplier is applied after effects, so you cant even bleed bosses to death. EVERY fight is 5min+ and one mistake and you're reset
sounds fun? no? well thats the gameplay for you
Radahn isn’t actually tankier than Malenia. At least in terms of effective hp.
Radahn has 46,134 hp, and an average of 36% negation. So ~72,000 effective hp (obviously varies a bit based on what damage type you use, but it’s close enough). But Radahn is also Scadu 16 (1.95x bonus damage and hp) so assuming player is also Scadu 16, then his effective hp is divided by 1.95, or about 37,000. If you are higher Scadu it’s even lower.
Malenia has 18,473 hp, but phase 2 starts at 14,778, so assuming she never hits you and heals, she has 33,215 hp, she has average negation of 15%, this again obviously varies based on player gear, but this is vague estimates only. So her effective hp (assuming no healing) is 39,076, and let’s be honest, she’s gonna heal a bit.
If we assume player is only using the best possible damage type (fire vs Malenia, Holy + Peirce vs Radahn), then Malenia has 33,215 effective hp, Radahn has 27,503.0769 it’s even more biased towards Radahn being squishier. Especially again considering this assumes hitless Malenia so 0 healing, and Scadu 16, when going higher isn’t exactly hard. Even if you ignore Phase 1 holy and only do Peirce whole fighr, Radahn still dies faster.
Retarded nigger
He's manageable with shield. As a sword and board player I felt validated.
Malenia gives less runes and has a less unique death message than Elden Beast, but she’s clearly supposed to harder. The numbers don’t lie, the DLC has 14 scaling tiers, Radahn is tier 13, Bayle is tier 14.
As a guy who almost never uses a sword I was fine with the fight too. The Deflecting Hardtear made it super fun.
almost never uses a sword
never uses a shield*
Incredibly fucking hard. Like what-the-fuck-were-they-thinking tier prenerf.
One of the easiest non-cheesy way to beat him prenerf was parrying and it still took me a few hours to beat him, by far the longest I've spent in Elden Ring for a first clear.
Just insanely oppressive and unforgiving in the second phase
elden ring doesn't have lore, it's a series of cool concept art setpieces and boss fights. the lore exists after the fact, to make those things feel meaningful instead of too videogamey. godwyn would've been cooler
as always how hard he was depends on your build. he does seem like he was built with sword and board in mind, since that was the most brain-dead way to beat him, with counter attacks and shields.
generally the worst build against him was pure sorcery because he could easily close gaps, and relentlessly attacked, making casting spells gay.
Not that bad, really. The other DLC bosses serve as good training for him.
Unless you were relying on slow weapon arts the entire time. Then you're fucked.
Malenia's health is on par with Radahn's, but her damage is far less, making trading more viable, even accounting for the lifesteal. You can also frequently do two hit combos on her because of her shit poise, and will crit her multiple times if using anything chunkier than a bread knife. She also opens her second phase with a move that lets you do whatever you want for like 5 seconds except stand next to her. By contrast Hyper Radahn has very few openings and trying to trade blows with him is like trying to box an elephant.
Bayle is the placidusax of the DLC, not the Malenia
generally the worst build against him was pure sorcery because he could easily close gaps, and relentlessly attacked
Take the Crystal Release pill.
Gives enough hyper armour to withstand any of his basic attacks. And does utterly obscene damage. I saw 9000 from one cast and I wasn’t even fully optimised or using extra shit like Golden Vow. You get hit every time you cast, but with decent armour and Dragoncrest talisman every trade is well worth it.
bro you are like level 3000 shut up
You literally don't understand what's interesting about Godwyn if you think that
I beat him the other day with just comet. Wasn't easy by any means, took like 3 hours, but I've never done it much quicker
That level 175 but by all means keep coping
how dare you stack HP from sources easily available like a Great Rune, that's totally level 20000
Gaius is an amazing fight outside of the charge hitbox
Okay fight, though I admit I relied almost entirely on Deflect for it, the only boss in the game I had to do that for my first playthrough on the DLC. Most others I stuck to what you'd get in the base game. I hated that it was Radahn. I wanted to 1v1 Miquella and I was legitimately kind of pissed off that this dumb, gayboy romance became the end point of the entire DLC, when it starts off with all this self sacrifice and remorse for Genocide stuff, which I found interesting.
I really loved Messmer and Rellana, Lion was alright, Frenzied Lord guy was pretty good fight but I felt the lore there was underwhelming and that whole chunk of the game felt weirdly primitive from a gameplay perspective to me. Bayle was a Moby Dick meme, a good one, but still I kind of hate fighting creatures that large in Elden Ring.
Everything else was a bit forgettable.
No, he's total dogshit. His hit boxes are fucked, his combos have a stupid tempo, and he flails around so much that his wind ups are very difficult to read. Even the premise of the fight is fucking stupid. Putting aside what this crippled retard is doing here or how he even fucking got behind the shadow tower, there's no reason at all that the player is even made to fight him to progress in the area except for the boss fog itself.
I disagree.
Boss has multiple attacks that can't be parried
Boss has multiple attacks that can't be blocked
Boss has multiple attacks that can't be jumped over
Boss has multiple attacks that can't be absorbed
This is fine
Boss has 1 attack (double cross slash) that can't be rolled (it can with light armor + talisman)
Game needs to be patched to fix this
Explain this to me.
Not everyone has a shield but everyone has roll. Parrying and jumping over attacks are explicitly riskier but more rewarding defensive options that only work on certain kinds of moves. It's also worth noting that Hyped Radahn still has several things that can't be rolled through and demand you to sprint away (or block I guess).
endure
mage
crab
nah, you didn't beat him
Why does no one talk about the fact that all you getting from beating this guy is a remembrance? You don't get a cutscene, a new ending, nothing.
can't be parried
Roll it
can't be blocked
Roll it
can't be jumped
Roll it
can't be absorbed
Roll it
can't be rolled
It's over
Every attack has to be avoidable by either jumping, spacing or rolling as they're the only tools you can guarantee every player has.
this bitch is carried by his stupid inflated as fuck hp and damage. i can style on him the whole fight and then i'm off a frame one time and die.
We DID talk about that. The victory was underwhelming. People fight Radahn for the sake of defeating a superboss, not for what you get after. The challenge is the reward.
Game introduces a jump.
Very first major boss a player will find has a wide horizontal slash
That cannot be jumped over
what the fuck is wrong with this company? lol
But I already defeated Radahn. I wanted to fight Miquella, whom the game cockteased me multiple times as secretly being the Mightiest Demigod.
You also get the very best hat in the game. Which is pretty funny. You murdered jesus and doomed the world for a hat.
Sorcery
What spell can you cast without summons to tank for you? Am I just not abusing the Ironjar perfume thingy enough?
Very first major boss a player will find has a wide horizontal slash
Who are you even talking about? I had no problem rolling every attack that wasn't an AOE / ground slam
I still think Malenia was harder - if only for her lifesteal which pretty much invalidates shield builds
This obviously never meant physical power, but that his magic made it impossible for anyone to choose to kill him
Like everything else in Elden Ring, the game is only as difficulty as you let it be. Elden Ring is the most casual friendly souls game and normies love it for a reason, it's got everything they adore.
Rolling is gay. Fromsoft should abandon it entirely in favor of Deflecting, Jumping, and an actually good backdash
not even close. if you could endure her DBZ attack you can kill her easily
Honestly I liked the St. Trina flower better, neither hat were particularly good but the flower looked better on my female characters.
try reading the rest of the post next time.
Cool. Let me fight that. I don't care if I have to fight some abstract dream realm of Miquella's compassion. It's all good. I just didn't want to fight fucking Radahn of all people. Easily the least interesting Demigod in the whole Game.
Her lifesteal is actually so low that it's a non-issue outside of her grab, which heals much more
I finished Elden ring (100%, all dead bosses including caves) 4 times. 2 times the DLC. I wish these cunts at fromsoft gave us another single player game instead of FUCKING TWO IN A ROW multiplayer shits that nobody asked for
I actually meant statistically. The circlet of light has 5 poise and weighs 1 pound, which is nuts. AND gives bonus stats. It's nearly a 5th talisman.
You get Ansbach's cool Scythe if you're doing an Arcane build.
The thing he did wrong was feature in the wet fart of a DLC. If he had been in the tree and had his own ending like they had originally planned in the base game it would have been fine.
Elden Ring was mid, the DLC was shit, and I'm happy to see Fromsoft's reputation falling off thanks to the shovelware they're pumping out. They deserve it.
this magic just doesn't apply to the player for no reason
God, Miyazaki needs to be beaten into a coma. What a talentless piece of shit.
and I'm happy to see Fromsoft's reputation falling off
Where, schizo?
reputation falling off
maybe here in the Anon Babble bubble. normalfags are salivating at the thought of playing slopreign and not bb2
this magic just doesn't apply to the player for no reason
He can literally do it to you in the fucking boss fight. It takes a bit more effort because he broke his great rune. YOU DIDN'T EVEN PLAY THE FUCKING DLC. I am so fucking tired of retard third world shitskin zoomers trying to manufacture movements about shit they DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT.
Incredibly easy.
Easy took me 35ish tries.
get good
easy
35 times
I don't think I ever died to a boss more than 15 times
easy
15 times
I've never died in a video game. git gud
What's sad if you're probably actually proud of this
Wouldn't know. Always summon the bros because it's cooler that way.
there are so many ways to play the game that it doesnt matter frankly, there's always gonna be someone with a disproportionately harder or easier time even when playing ostensibly 'normal'
generally the worst build against him was pure sorcery
Its called carian soveriegnity and shoving as much damage boosting shit as you can toss on.
LMAO i just beat him for the first time yesterday and this was my exact build, i was already using mogwhyns spear
first phase is fine, second phase has maybe a couple bullshit moves but the bigger problem is it's a visual cluster fuck that makes it difficult to tell what's happening
Quite hard, even if you're using a not retard build - aka, getting decent defenses to the types of damage you'll be receiving, using your ash of war, using consumables, etc. He's quite a challenging, and in my opinion, fun bossfight. Top 5 dlc bosses easily.
Of course you can cheese him, but that's besides the point.
So they made it possible to dodge and let you see what was actually happening and this was unacceptable to fromdrones for some reason.
Roll into him, with orientation slightly to the left. This works for virtually every attack that isn't Lightspeed Slash, which is admittedly bullshit.
He said this after saying the DLC will be a little bigger than Limgrave
He's a fucking liar
The putrid nigger version of this in the catacombs in radahn's area can eat a dick
He's the hardest boss in the series, especially his attack that drops the game to 5fps in the already dogshit performing DLC
Shields are only for people who can figure out 2 different buttons to avoid damage. been using one all game
why does Ranni have no comment whatsoever about you killing her brothers, at least one of whom she was recently on good terms and conspired with (Rykard), and her mom also gets beaten up a bit
At no point is Godwyn said or implied to be the greatest of the demi-gods pre-Shattering. It's even symbolically implied that Morgott was far and away the best among the demi-gods the moment he left the sewers, and everyone was blindsided by that. Only Ranni might have been superior, and her own schemes kept her away from a collision course with him at the time, along with the Dark Moon's machinations, both if it could manipulate her or outright puppeteer her to an extent. Furthermore, even when Godwyn's knights try to do training arcs after the Night of the Black Knives, we find that one has apparently been fully killed by Elder Inquisitor Jori, who has been stuck as partially insane, scrounging in the wilderness of The Abyss, and without his or her main weapon for ages. Even if Godwyn got to participate in the Shattering, Elden Ring implies that he and his followers were long since surpassed and didn't measure up, not even to older foes stuck suffering in hellish conditions.
Tl;dr Godwyn was never the greatest demi-god, never got the Shattering training boost, and would have been folded like laundry the instant Miquella summoned him. Also, Freyja's line about reviving Radahn's soul is a mistranslation, Miquella only pulled it into Mohg's body, so Godwyn was SOL with his destroyed soul.
SotE feels like a parody of Elden ring, really, and not even a good one, like it completely missed the point of what it was trying to parody
I noticed this happening too in some Souls bosses. Not sure if accidental
??? How do you infer from that I was bragging and not just showing that I actually played the games? Niggerbrained shtiskin cant follow the flow of conversation
Dark Moon's machinations
Stopped reading, certified schizo post.
And yes, cross slash got nerfed twice, but only review copies saw its original form, where all 3 hits true-combo’d into eachother, since they all used to have Collosal weapon tier hitstun instead of first two swings having light hitstun.
Don't forget that the lunging energy clones attack was itself an upgraded version of the cross-slash combo and thus could hit at least one extra time, maybe more, to open someone up for the full combo. The only thing preview homunculus Radahn was missing was the ultra meteorite attack.
The DLC had plenty of difficult bosses. Messmer is the actual best boss of the DLC, in that he is both hard to beat while simultaneously being fun to fight. On repeat runs I actually look forward to fighting him.
I have beaten Consort twice, once with cheese and once without, and have concluded I do not enjoy his fight and will never do it again.
Because canonically you cuck her for marika so her opinion dosent matter
You need Endure
Just Endure before casting, it's way better than Ironjar since it doesn't make you turtle slow and also can be spammed fast at little cost
he boughted miyazaki's poopoo flake and homosexual incest dlc
If 0% of your players who nolife your games for 10,000 hours can beat the boss on their first try and likely need 100 tries then the boss isn't actually hard, it was not balanced to be a reasonable encounter for anyone.
took me longer to beat melania, orphan and lawrence
his holy whatever attacks in 2nd phase caused frame drops for me so I quit
The move didn't even require strafing to the left and dodge rolling to the left, you could roll away provided that the timing was tight enough on the first swing.
You do get a cutscene, it's the memory of Miquella you can observe in the arena afterward. It's a ball of light you interact with in about the center of the area.
Why did every single no-hit runner not do that then and all universally followed the left strafing method?
Try to open the Fingerslayer Blade chest without working for Ranni
"You are not fated to open this"
The Dark Moon is absolutely scheming. Also, notice how Ranni's soul, her actual self, isn't present during her "marriage" cutscene? That's not her being coy, that's something suspicious, especially since the slain Two Fingers elsewhere show that the Fingerslayer Blade isn't even necessary.
Because the strafe was easier for avoiding some of his other moves, and because they treat no-hit running like a job and try to get the gravy train rolling past a certain point instead of labbing it out for the full length of time. Even in the base game, while they studied Malenia's moves for like 12 hours each, in the end it was a YouTuber named ClankyMocha who created the comprehensive guide to countering Waterfowl Dance.
It absolutely was underwhelming, but not for that. Gael only gave you a new dialogue, but that fight was hype as hell. It's the fact that it was just Radahn again. Turns out, all those comments of "Imagine fighting them in their prime!" Didn't know what they were saying.
"You are not fated to open this"
Real shit? Damn. All the gods are the fucking same in the end.
I wouldn't know, honestly wasn't impressed enough with the base game to buy the dlc. Don't even feel like pirating it either.
