Bethesda fags fear Morrowind chads

Bethesda fags fear Morrowind chads

I don't think about you at all actually

Looks like shit, feels like the whole map is one big town in M&B warband but without all the stuff that makes that game good.

Is this the new thread?
Someone in the last one mentioned that TR added sea elf armor, but I haven't seen it. Where is it?

lmfao. skrimlets will never get it

Gothic mogs Morrowind

this is probably the most retarded sentence i've read today.

I have seen Moamer scale armor at vendors but idk if that's TR, I have a bigasss armor mod installed too

It's true and makes perfect sense.

Morrowindfags are not bethesdafags. In general there's only one Bethesda game they like, Morrowind.

There's a full set in the files but I could only find boots and gauntlet underwater in PC

Better than every single Zelda game, tho

You are clinically retarded and this is an awful thread. I know you don't have the braincells required to actually play a game but put it to better use than this pitiful attempt at flaming

t. one of the 4 actual Morrowboomers on Anon Babble

Oh no. Flaming. On Anon Babble?

Go be a flaming faggot somewhere else. Bethesda games are trash, Morrowind was an accident.

Morrowindfags are not bethesdafags.

yes, they are. every single time bethesda releases a game they run to play it and complain that it's not morrowind. it's a fact of life.

Great, now they will make Morrowind renaster because of you fags

they're pretty god dam rare, I've only got a gauntlet and greaves.
got the greaves from doing the Anvil Kingdom Quest

I like Skyrim too, even if I have to mod it to hell.
Oblivion is barely worth it though. There is so much wrong about that game,

The rarity might explain the lack of it. Is it medium or heavy?

medium

medium. They look really nice too, though I haven't seen the chestplate or helm

This. Morrowind doesn't even feel like a Bethesda game, it makes no sense to bundle it alongside the fucking garbage slop that they usually make. Morrowind is genuinely good, to the point it qualifies as honorary non-Bethesdaslop.

enter Narsis Catacombs and Hlaalu Tombs

MWSE sissies, our response!?!

is there any place in TR/Narsis/Skyrim where you can get those khajiit weapons? except for the NPCs at the ebonheart elsweyr mission that is i don't wanna kill them

you could spawn them in if you knew the code

This is incorrect, since almost every bethfag has only ever liked one of their games.

nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/54203

TR's custom spells

Until OpenMW's Lua capabilities are better, MWSE will still be the best

bu-but muh old engine! muh fps!

You get three more frames per second in a game from 2002 that people played at like 20 frames a second

Post your fashion
About to assassinate some CEO

I'm playing it for the first time after Oblivion. I got to the buff old dude and realized I don't have the package he wants. Did I fuck up along the way? Is it possible to lose a key item?

For me, it's the map
OpenMW's map is just outright superior to anything Base morrowind can offer, which is necessary for shit like TR.

Did I fuck up along the way? Is it possible to lose a key item?

No
You literally can't leave the starting room without it

Bethesda made Morrowind. What the fuck are you talking about? Fans of a game studio fear fans of a game made by the game studio they are a fan if?

Do you see how retarded you are?

UI extension map is slightly better than OpenMW actually

i like both :)

Yes. You probably sold it like an idiot. The game won't hold your hand.

I mean, can you sell off a key item? I was fucking around in the starting town and wasn't paying attention.

Modern Bethesda and Bethesda that made Morrowind might as well be different studios
Yeah
Go look for that note

I use paper map and a mod that removes compass and adds a physical compass item that you have to equip to see the direction you're facing.

About to start the new content using my Anvil character.
Full Dragonscale and a Redquard cloak for comfiness.

file.png - 1920x1080, 3.94M

Looks about the same besides the re-center button.

I still remember when OpenMW haters denied it had better performances, now they pretend it's "three more fps".

there are some M&B elderscrolls mods but you have to get them from some russian youtube link since they use ripped assets

TR really blessed us medium armor chads. So many good enchanted pieces of gear available.

True. Too bad it will get that crap remake, no game deserves such cruel mockery.

There's a Daggerfall M&B mod, Struggle for Iliac Bay, it's from a modder who made Vasnar (aka MtG Innistrad expy mod), it's pretty good actually.

Morrowvegans only like morrowind and nothing else, they dislike any other TES game and Bethesda as a whole for not just making morrowind 1/2/3/4 etc.
They're the equivalent of bloodbornefags who only like bloodborne and hate Fromsoftware along with "rollslop" aka souls game that isn't bloodborne.

TR makes Redguards really interesting and appealing. They have some of the coolest armour on par with the Nords
I wonder how Bethesda will fuck them up

I like Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim, and Fallout 4, and I also only like Bloodborne and hate all the other Fromsoft rollslop.

What do speedrunning trannies have to do with Elder Scrolls? Retarded image. I bet you have the same exact edit for New Vegas or something, you obsessed faglord.

This except swap the games
Oblivion has actual replay value and good mods because it has good quest writing and charm.
Skyrim has good gameplay but the writing is such boring, trite slop I have no idea why people spend thousands of hours modding it. What for? The story sucks, the guild questlines suck, there's barely any memorable characters.

do the two favored attributes at start up matter beyond the first few levels? does it affect the points on level up? I'm still deciding between str, end,and int for a mostly warrior class that buffs itself like a paladin.

I feel like they like skyrim more than they let on
They hate oblivion though

tfw only found 3 pieces of imperial ebony so far

will it be possible to play morrowind online with tamriel rebuilt?

I like Morrowind and Oblivion but can't get into Skyrim at all

I'd give you a legit advice but the game is already piss easy even on full grug no magic playthrough, so don't worry about it. TR adds some challenging fights but they're not overbearing. If you truly want to minmax, pick agility + endurance. Endurance hp gains are non-retroactive and agility contributes heavily to hit chance (Weapon Skill + (Agility / 5) + (Luck / 10)) and hitting something with high AC is important because chances are your weapon is already going to be damaging enough to 3-4 shot niggas.

Only for Endurance it really matters. Health gain at level 1 and per level is tied to the Endurance you have at the level up.
For the other attributes is mostly a matter of preference, like getting slightly higher Wisdom for easier spell cast or higher Speed so you don't fall asleep when walking around early on.
I can't think of an useless favored attribute honestly, everything has its use.

Skyrim has better atmosphere, music, mods, and sex. It's just a relaxing mod pool.
Morrowind is just the better game.
Oblivion is neither.

Counterpoint, Oblivion's world design, dungeons, gameplay, and aesthetics suck

I like Oblivion much more than Skyrim. Every single faction, location, and person is retarded in Skyrim. It's just so poorly written.

Oblivion's major sins are lore rape (still not as bad as Skyrim) and fucked level scaling (terrible).

Yes you can, but merchant inventories don't reset, only their gold does. If you know who you sold it to then you can probably buy it back.
Just don't sell armor pieces or weapons because the merchants equip the strongest items automatically and you can't buy them back after that.

wasn't paying attention

Well you have to because Morrowind isn't your usual "turn your brain off" Bethesda slop such as Oblivion.

Oblivion's lore rape is objectively worse than Skyrim's though. TES V is at least just a lukewarm take on what was said about Skyrim in Redguard and Morrowind, while Oblivon completely changed Cyrodiil and the Imperials.

I'm a proud Morrowvegan and Skyrim was fun but I wish it could have been a bit more at times. New Vegas I really love for it's story and builds even if it's really janky. Fallout 4 was fun but has even more of Skyrim's problems and I'm not a huge fan of the direction it took the Fallout franchise as a whole. Dishonored 1 was awesome, Wolfenstein: The New Order was awesome, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood was awesome, Doom Eternal was really really fun for what it was. I never played anything else from Bethesda. I own Prey and Fallout 3 but I haven't gotten around to playing them yet.

Bloodborne is my favorite Souls game so far. I've played OG Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Elden Ring so far. I own Dark Souls 2 SOTFS and Sekiro, but I haven't gotten the chance to play them yet so perhaps my tune will change (I doubt it though because Bloodborne's theming and setting are hard to top for someone who loves that sorta thing).

dungeons

I couldn’t fucking believe it the first time I went through an Oblivion dungeon. It had stupid ass goblins, zombies, ghosts, wraiths, all these bullshit enemies. Who the fuck wants that? All we want is DRAUGRS.

Is it me, or has the anti-Morrowind schizo got worse lately? It's like the TR update completely broke him.

I like the variety of biomes in Oblivion, and I like that it scratches that LOTR-fantasy itch. yeah I know it's a lore rape and I'd rather have roman jungles too but it still fills a good niche if you look past that. Skyrim might arguably have better world design, but I find its setting really boring in comparison. I know I'm probably in a minority for that though.
Oblivion also has the best cities of the three imo, they absolutely mog the "cities" in Skyrim. and the dungeons can be fun in small doses, they just get tedious when you do a bunch.
I just treat Oblivion like a different kind of game, instead of focusing on the open world I tend to focus on the cities and questlines, and it's really fun that way

I know you are being sarcastic, but maybe you should focus on the fact that all Oblivion dungeons are literally just cobbled together premade rooms that are reused HEAVILY

he never did Sundercliff Watch

Literally the best dungeon in any ES game. No draugrs required.

I guess you could give it cities, but honestly I hate the voice acting and general look of oblivion so much it kills most enjoyment for everything else.

Sorry, Skyrim has the best mods. These games are only worth their weight in mods.

If you're a retard who only plays these games vanilla. Then I agree.

Daggerfall

Shit gameplay, soulfvl art, mediocre lore

Morrowind

Shit gameplay, shit art, mediocre lore

Oblivion

Shit gameplay, shit art, mediocre lore

Skyrim

Mediocre gameplay, mediocre art, shit lore

Sorry to say it, but objectively, numerically, Skyrim is the best Bethesda game even without mods.
If you unironically think Morrowind has good questing, I've got about 1000 MMOs to introduce you to. You'll love them.

the merchants equip the strongest items automatically

This is one of the dumbest things in Morrowind.

Balmora merchant stands in his store wearing fine clothing to impress his customers

on his shelves are various heavy armour pieces. He could wear these if he wished, but does not, as they are not appropriate attire for his job

but if the player character sells him heavy armour, he has to put it on immediately no matter how it looks

Even if you are shitposting, it's hard to see how anyone could think Morrowind has shit art direction and lore.

I'm pretty sure most modern versions of Morrowind fix this, I know openmw has an option to disable it and I'd be surprised if MWSE didn't also

I kinda wish to know who is desperate to create these flame wars threads, and the smell of rotten axe wound were a man's genitals should be from a shitty imageboard that failed to kill Anon Babble and their obsidiot buttbuddies with bell iq is strong

I don't understand why people like Oblivion's cities that much. They're not really that big at all and coming from Morrowind they're rather underwhelming in scale. People say all the time Solitude is small but each of the smaller counties cities are roughly the same size. The Imperial City is the worst offender being awfully tiny for what the capital of the empire of Tamriel should look like.
They're also not aesthetically nor culturally lvery different and their biggest contrast is the color of their walls. At least Skyrim's 5 major holds have a building style to each one of them as well as better ambiance.

But Morrowfarts are also bethsfags. You're saying they're self-hating?
Makes sense I guess, since out of all the elder scrolls games, they're the ones that act like little 16 year old protokarens.

Oblivion has the best cities

20 people and a couple buildings in the Imperial City

Vivec is the only good city in the series.

The blue plates are nice, but the brown ones seem to last longer.

I said mediocre, not bad. Because the 'good lore' that people quote constantly is in books that have fuck all to do with what you do in the game.

As for art direction? The game looks like ass. It came out in 2002. Want to know some other games that came out in 2002 or earlier? Splinter Cell. Final Fantasy X. Silent Hill 2. Metal Gear Solid 2.

Compare any of those visually to Morrowind.

undertrannie

liking elder kino

your taste are inconsistant

The LeFemm Armor official plugin is especially funny because it adds a new set of armor to a particular blacksmith NPC. You're supposed to buy it from him, except you can't because he just equips it instantly. Lmfao what the fuck were they thinking?

People say all the time Solitude is small but each of the smaller counties cities are roughly the same size

well yeah, but Solitude is supposed to be the capital, not a smaller county city. that's proving my point lol.

to me Oblivion cities strike the perfect balance between scope, aesthetic, and livelihood. Morrowind cities like Vivec are obviously more impressive in scope, but mostly just consist of a bunch of static npcs with copypaste dialogue. and don't get me wrong, I love Morrowind, but the cities in Oblivion definitely feel more alive. and aesthetically I just like them a lot more than Skyrim. they feel like proper medieval cities and have distinct vibes. I guess Skyrim has different architecture styles too but something about the palettes and presentation in that game just make them all blur into a big brown mess in my head.
Imperial City is fairly disappointing I'll give you that, but I love the county cities.

I always forget the 8 official plugins because they aren't part of the Steam GOTY for some fucking reason

Skyrim's city's are good, but they have what you might call a fantasy concept art vibe, being very stylised and improbable, particularly Markarth. Oblivion's towns are more grounded in recognisable medieval images, which some players will prefer.

Oblivion cities are literally the same and have no personality
Skyrim cities are just small

Skyrim's city's are good

No.

but the cities in Oblivion definitely feel more alive.

Well, at minimum having NPCs with an actual routine helps a lot. What's the point in having a night/day cycle if every NPC is static?
Gothic did it before Morrowind and it makes a world of difference.

braindead grafixfagging with no regard to art style

in 2025

over a game from 2002

compared to other games that also came out around 2002

the mental gymnastics are crazy

I agree morrowind looks like shit but comparing it to FFX is just absurd, they have absolutely nothing in common

Oblivion at least still has classes

you probably sold it to arille in seyda neen, I've done that before.

morrowind even mogs skyrim at being skyrim

file.png - 1005x1077, 1.72M

Where to find Rourken Dwemer Armor?

LeFemm is also funny because it adds Domina, which is a decently good, really cheap set of light armor. Five points stronger than the Chitin you can get in Seyda Neen so it's the second best light armor in the base game, and it looks okay, too. Not bad to carry you until you get Glass, right?
It's still only literally half as good as the Dark Brotherhood armor you're forced into getting your hands on for free by Tribunal.

Whoever decided not to level or quest gate the Tribunal shit needed to get kicked in the balls for that retardation.

guys the art isn't bad wtf

yes it is, here's why

wow are you retarded who cares about art lol it's an old game

Classic. I accept your concession.

Does anyone know where the coast guard is located in Narsis?
There are Redguard Dwemers ruins on the island near Anvil, but I only found boots there

They're games from the same generation.
They're both RPGs.
Why is this invalid when we're ONLY comparing graphics? Don't defend Bethesda's shittery.

I really dig the Arena/Daggerfall vibe in Karthwasten and Dragonstar.

mods

it's still basically one street

full of static npcs, most of which don't even have unique dialogue

looks generic as fuck

No it's basically just as shit as Skyrim, why are morrowfags so insufferably delusional?

I accept your concession

They weren't thinking at all about level/quest gating the expansions. In their own twisted mind you would only enable them when you wanted to access their content, for example after beating the game (which explains the retarded difficulty spike with goblins stronger than literal Gods).

Luck is the best attribute

t. Gaenor

I learned this lesson after my encounter with this schizo Bosmer in the Tribunal DLC.

file.png - 600x600, 870.76K

Yeah sure luck's a great stat if you buff it to like 400 or whatever he has

morrowind is so good, i dont even need to mod it to play.

ffx is not an rpg

I updated my navigation mesh cache on OpenMW and my computer started to sound like an air fryer.

okay it's time to stop posting now

The hardest part is letting go

it has about as many rpg mechanics as call of duty

what's the role playing part of that game

When life gives you air fryers, make chicken thighs.

Season with basil, parsley, oregano, salt, black pepper, pinch of cumin, generous amount of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and pico de gallo seasoning powder (trust me). Slather it in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and lemon juice. Air fry at 400 for 15 minutes (check with meat thermometer, you want 165F). Marinate chicken thighs for one hour before cooking (better results: do it overnight).

After that's done your PC should be back to normal, if not try it again with drumsticks instead.

Gold armor is also one of the best medium armors in the game, even though it's not a full set. Yeah it's made for female characters but it looks aesthetic as fuck too, in fact all medium armors look aesthetic as fuck in Morrowind. Nowadays I only spec into medium armor because of this.

And yeah the way the expansions were implemented was fucking egregious. The fact that nobody thought to fix things up a bit for the GOTY edition is beyond me.

Gold_Armor.png - 600x1000, 1.18M

thanks chatgpt

that's not chat gpt that's my super secret recipe for chicken thighs. Fuck you. Ungrateful shit.

Skyrim is aight

Sounds like a you problem.

I also love Lunacid, Metro, Half-Life and Bioshock.

AIs don't have feelings. I do not feel bad for one and would not feel bad for one.

You had them anon until you wrote this retarded shit haha

I hope your PC airfries your dick faggot

I bet you would, gay boy

mfw people like skyrim and oblivion

I like Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim for different reasons.

mfw people like morrowind

I'm not seeing any dwarven ruins around narsis fuck this scrap metal

Dark Brotherhood armor

1. you get attacked at a low level to earn it
2. you need to have high level armor skill to make it effective
3. you need to have high mercantile skill to sell it for value
4. a couple quests into the game you are replacing it out for free glass armor that is just laying on the ground
5. the Curass of Savior's Hide is also obtainable at the same time

If you think it breaks the game then you somehow missed out on everything else in the open world.
Second quest for Balmora Mage guild allows you to obtain a gran soulgem with a Winged Twilight soul which allows enchanting of better armor than all that.
There's a cave outside Balmora filled with 100 ebony to take. If you tell a quest giver in Vivec of the mine, he gives you daedric.
I could go on and on and on.

not punching cliffracers to death

actually using H2H for the first time in 20 years made me love Morrowind again

They didn't live that far south, not enough volcanoes for their geothermal autism

All of that requires game knowledge or effort.
The Dark Brotherhood armor comes delivered to your bed just as soon as you sleep.

The closest dwemer ruin is way up by Roa Dyr.

you need to have high level armor skill to make it effective

you need to have high mercantile skill to sell it for value

set up OpenMW and Tamriel Rebuilt

decide to install some extra mods for maximum immersion such as dynamic music, smooth animations etc.

they don't work on OpenMW, and if they do it's some obscure build

can't convert saves from OpenMW to MWSE

All I want is the characters to not move like robots and soundtrack not repeat itself my playing the same 5 tracks over and over and over again goddammit

It doesn't break the game as such, but it makes the light armour gear progression quite boring because you pretty much only have one upgrade opportunity. That said, you could already just buy a full set of chitin from Arille, so light armour progression was pretty fucked even in the base game

Should I enchant my Daedric Helmet with fortify strength or fortify heavy armor?

file.png - 220x120, 16.59K

they don't work on OpenMW, and if they do it's some obscure build

You may be too retarded for either MWSE or OpenMW. Sorry.

just dump a bunch of Soule's music into the explore folder, dynamic music is overrated anyway

Ah so it was nerfed for consolebabies.

level 6

Only get attacked once

In their own twisted mind you would only enable them when you wanted to access their content, for example after beating the game (which explains the retarded difficulty spike with goblins stronger than literal Gods).

I doubt this is the explanation. Morrowind became the second-best selling game on Xbox, so Bethesda would have expected most of their customers to play the expansions when they arrived on the console as part of the all-in-one GOTY edition. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Xbox Morrowind lets you disable expansion content the way you can with a PC launcher.

Modding page for OpenMW tells me I shouldn't use MO2, but there's no way I'm manually installing mods in 2025. Can I just do what I want or will something break?

Serious question, is there any mod to add grass to the Othreleth Woods?

Append your mod folder

It says right there that for the original pc release there is no such requirement. And they haven't changed it for the goty version either so it must be something planned when they were writing the guide but before releasing the goty.
I haven't played the console version of the game so I wouldn't know if it was fixed for that. Could be.

If you look at the very bottom of the OpenMW site, there's a guide for Automatic Installation. I used it for the Graphics Overhaul modlist. It took a long time because I don't pay a Nexus subscription, and you have to monitor the process and click to install every Nexus mod it downloads (there are fucking loads), but nevertheless it is doable. I think it took 6-7 hours. Will obviously go a lot more quickly if you have a Nexus premium account.

modding-openmw.com/guides/auto/

follow up, then find your openmv.cfg file and type in your mod direct in DATA PATHS (you also have to do the the same for content files, scroll down)

this guy kicked my ass when I was a kid, and I lived in fear of him and had to run away in temple district every time I went through there

merchants with many golds?

file.png - 486x393, 152.57K

Enough about what race is the best for gameplay or what race is the best for the narrative or what race looks the best or any of that irrelevant nonsense.
What races have the best player voices for male and female?

just put fortify strength on everything, things can't hurt you if they are dead (1-(max str) and then reequip till high roll)

mudcrab merchant, look it up. rest for 24 hours to reset his stock of gold, if you have multiple pieces to sell.

player voices

player character doesn't talk unless there is some mod for it, so idk what you are getting at

you have to add the data path and content files yourself also but they are already there for me because I downloaded a mod list

Mudcrab Merchant and Creeper

imperial male, argonian female

Enchanters.
Also don't forget to play the best race for good prices, the Orsimer

Your character still has a voice, Anon.

I think every race in Morrowind has excellent voices, but i really like the Argonians in particular, both because it's the only time in the history of the franchise in which the females have good non-chainsmoker voices and the combat lines with hisses and stuff are pretty rad (shame you'll almost never get to hear them since there's like less than half a dozen hostile argonians in morrowind)

Use it anyway. It's fine, if not a tad redundant

mana potions are too expensive and i can't figure out how to make the infinite mana spell. I tried -100 int and +50 magicka fort and it does nothing

make your own restore fatigue potions to sell to raise money. Any two food items can be combined to make one, they are cheap and profitable with restocking ingredients from vendors.

Then either make your own magicka potions or buy them.

Just make fortify intelligence potions.

Thanks, that wasn't a thing last time I tried using OpenMW

you have to monitor the process and click to install every Nexus mod it downloads

There's a script that auto clicks slow download then closes the tab, thankfully

Modders trying to add a lore friendly way to join House Indoril

Impossible.

It shouldn't be joinable but you can be a retainer or ally like the Imperial Legion quests since you don't actually become a "Legionnaire" soldier but you still kinda join the faction

it should be joinable just because it would be funny to become master of Indoril before rocking up to Almalexia

can you kill almalexia before doing the tribunal finale

yeah i made tons of fatigues already, i have 100 alchemy. the problem with mana potions is there's only 3 ingredients to buy and i have to buy those salts to make them. And i still haven't found a place to buy good magicka restore pots at, the ones i make are way better. I keep thinking how i would survive if i made a mage dunmer for my next character but it seems like it will just suck going for magic pure.

the problem with mana potions is there's only 3 ingredients to buy and i have to buy those salts to make them.

Kill respawning daedra. Or just suck it up and buy them.

Bethesda fags fear [Game by Bethesda] chads

???

If you're already cheesing it then what you can do is sell ingredients to that vendor and they will permanently raise how many they have available every time you open the window.
Buy 5 salts
Reopen the barter menu
sell five
Buy 10
sell 10
Buy 20
etc.

Morrowind may as well be made by a different company. Everything they made after was shit.

You could get a way in with the Tribunal Temple, or Almalexia could just force them to accept you

No, retard, it was made by Todd Howard who made literally all other relevant Bethesda games later

i don't know why they removed levitate from the game.

Doesn't matter. Todd only had one good game in him, got all the good ideas out, and now can only make trash.

morrowind > skyrim > arena > oblivion > daggerfall > oblivion with guns > skyrim with guns > skyrim with spaceships

Todd only made one good game. Even he agrees that Morrowind is his favorite game.

I would say his actual favorite is Redguard and he's never forgiven the audience for not liking it. He likes being the hero who steered the ship and saved the company from bankruptcy with Morrowind.

I think the oblivion remaster got people who only played skyrim to look at older games, which brought morromongers out to talk up their game, which got the morrohaters on overdrive

If you bought Starfield, Oblivion remaster, or Fallout 4/76, you're a Bethesda fag.
You enjoy slop.
Being fooled once or twice with the other games is fair.

Does TR add any merchants that restock grand soul gems? I don't want to go unlock mournhold

Narsis mages guild has a special room for summoning and capturing souls and I'll be surprised if the merchant there doesn't restock grand soul gems

pop-in mod

better than 20 fps

Enter OE

Game turns to Silent Hill

exactly

Nigger morrowind is made for installing manually and OpenMW has a built in sorter

there's the mo-to-openmw plugin, use that
other than the basic fixes, OpenMW has like 20 mods that are worth using anyway so it wouldnt be a problem if you just installed everything manually

Just do it anyway. Anyone who tells you not to use MO2 is retarded, that goes for the retards who run OpenMW. I don't know what the actual fuck is wrong with those brainlets, but they're wrong.

target your openMW install in mod organizer

nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45642 use this

export to openmw

launch the game through the openmw launcher, not MO2

Works fucking fantastic, no manual install bullshit, no "install the mods in this order and just overwrite everything lmao" retardation.
That shit is ass and you're a retard.

Isn't required so YOU'RE the retard

Tell me when the Dres lands are released so I can play a pro-slavery House Dres Nerevarine who is an Argonian.
I want to imagine Nerevar's Chimeri soul truly awakening within his lizard body at the feeling of a slaver's whip in his hand cracking against a scaly back.

Isn't required

You're not required to wipe your ass after you shit. I'm not going to force you to do it.

I'm still going to wipe my own ass. If you like living like that, that's your problem and not mine.

Open archive

Drag files into the data files folder

Manual install is wiping your own ass you mongoloid, you need someone to develop a software to wipe yours for you, like a little baby.

want to change one mod

better track it down and manually remove then reinstall it

what a waste of time.

I've never had a single problem doing manual install in 15 years

puck.jpg - 587x561, 49.54K

OpenMW and their shills always tell people to use their own shit instead of the old stuff that works perfectly fine and they start seething when you point out the old method is better than their shit
Vanilla with DXVK gets better framerate than OpenMW btw

modding morrowind is pretty painful and i've been doing this for 20 years

I'm not manually removing then reinstalling mods whenever and update happens. If you like doing that, I don't care.
That's good. I haven't either. I'm just not wasting my time doing it.

drag and drop file

instantly able to uninstall, reinstall, and install multiple differing versions of the same mod

wow everything would be so much better if I couldn't do this said nobody ever.

You seem to care lol
A goo goo gaa gaa dingleberry bitch

Vanilla with DXVK gets better framerate than OpenMW btw

I thought that was only for Linux.

retard

It works on Windows too, it makes the games that use DirectX use Vulkan instead, makes most old games run better

I don't care about performance at this point, I really, really just don't want to bother with distant land and groundcover generation ever again

Everyone swears by TR

Start up new character

go to old ebonheart

join mages guild

fetch me some herbs and eggs

finish quest

Great, now fetch me some alcohol

This shit is so fire..........

file.png - 1024x683, 1.2M

First time playing Morrowind?

Keep going anon
This is only the beginning. You’ll be probing pocket realms and solving ethical quandaries in no time

the fighters guild first quest is way more crazy lol

Oh my word is that an empty copy pasted forest? So based!

play morrowind

it's morrowind

Morrowind questlines usually go like this, you start with something simple and then move on to something more interesting and complex

Just tried it. You're talking way out of your ass, it actually ran worse than vanilla + MGE let alone "better than OpenMW".

Just tried it

Clearly have no idea what he's talking about

lol
lmao
DXVK is just a config file that you throw into the game folder, it doesn't replace OpenMW or MWSE

fuck I wanted to do a mod to add in the concept art Daedric masks. Please tell me Tamriel Rebuilt didn't beat me to the punch

fuck, just looked it up and they did. I didn't see a molag "forbidden tickle" mask though. I guess that's still something I can do

well at least the work is already done for me.I kinda like making shit myself though. Le sigh

DXVK is just a config file that you throw into the game folder

What config am I supposed to have because I just dropped in the d3d9 dll and Narsis dipped 10 FPS

Who are they all representative of?

That's Vulkan for you
For some it works and magically makes games run better and for others it makes everything worse

first one I think is Mephala, second one is for Sheogorath, third is Molag Bals' apparently supposed to be the face you make when he rapes you, rebellion one is supposed to be Mehrunes Dagon, not sure what the one under it is

Alright. Not three hours later and I already have a modlist fully installed and ready to be played. Next I'll install a few other mods that I want and then I'll play. It's much better now that I don't have to mess with the absolute nonsense that was manually creating folders and extracting mods

Discord trannies are trying to divide TES chads

And the sad thing is some anons are falling for it

To be fair it's stupid that they keep making rollslop when the dodgeslop of bloodborne works just fine, rolling is just silly

Have they not added Almalexia's Daedric mask that she wears to fight to go with Vivec's and Nerevar's?

Why are you trying to start an argument? You are annoying. Waste of your time.

we didn't use to have shitty bait like this in our comfy Morrowind threads before the Oblivion Remaster came out. Take me back

i cant decide if i want to go openmw or mwse...

MWSE (MGE XE)

Cool mods

OpenMW

Cool performance
Easier for retards

Two installs
openmw and mwse
go to old ebonheart
see if you want to kill yourself or not

What's the best economy mod? I don't want to get rich 5 hours in

i never played a rogue/stealth focused characters so i want to do that now
should i just go with the vanilla mechanics or use every stealth overhaul mod?

visibility and detection is kinda broken in vanilla, also npc's in morrowind don't really have a schedule and they often stand still. If you dont want to install an overhaul mod your best bet is to lean into invisibility magic and stuff like that

invisibility magic

invisibility sucks ass in TES

Get yourself to 100 chameleon and become a ghost
I was about to say it's a decent escape tool when I remembered teleportation exists. I still use it sometimes when I find it on a ring or whatever and want to run past shit without fighting.

Just keep in mind it's much less

cool dickassthief creeping in the shadows and ghosting missions

And more

social stealth where you mostly cajole, bribe, and bully people, and occasionally pocket things at a fancy dinner party

Actual stealing is more like finding the camera blind spot in the electronics department at a Walmart, i.e. finding the one pixel NPC's magically won't detect you in.
Also magic is your friend, not just Illusion, Mysticism and Alteration too. Telekinesis is amazing, and you don't need to worry about lockpicks with open spells. As for overhauls there are a few but none fix the fact that most interiors are small and NPC's impossible to path around. Stealth becomes broken after level 50

I know this is 6 hours old but you better share those mods

*Sneak, even
This lady in one of the manors in Old Ebonheart likes to stare at this painting so I walked into this corner while I made dinner. Got around 20 odd levels

Not bretons. I can't play them on account of that faggy whine when they get hit.

n'wah

I only play Nord or Altmer because I'm tall irl and it's really weird and jarring playing first person in a game and not being taller than everyone.

The smallest dog barks the loudest.

money is what makes a game good

Go play genshin and fuck out this thread right now then.

Wow, these grass mods look like shit.

he's a bethesda FAG!!!!

oh nonononononono

bloodborne is rollslop (parryslop, same thing) thoughbeit

this is based actually
you see, its a FPS representation of what could just as well be isometric CRPG combat, it's really cool being 'in the action' and causing and interacting with the dice rolls yourself

morrowind combat is a fatigue management simulator that happens to look a litlte bit like a first person fighting/shooter game.

nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45846

Why are you asking? The mod page gives you a total list of all the changes he made. You can gauge for yourself if those are things you think are good or not.

Like fuck man, come on. Come ON.

I don't want to get rich 5 hours in

How about you just kill creeper and mudcrab merchant, and then install a mod that doubles or triples training costs?
Also install a mod that reduced price of player made potions to near zero, or requires you to buy potion bottles that even out the cost.

You know the bit in The Mask when Bighead is dodging all the bullets? That's what this character is doing.

Is there any way to get decent magicka regen in morrowind without abusing alchemy or spamming rest?

atronach and summon ghosts to fill ur mana

then install a mod that doubles or triples training costs

what mod does that

Lots of them. Just google it and pick your preference.

profit, critically reception, and legacy is what makes a game good

Correct.

tribunal sucks
bloodmoon sucks, I'm going to start a new character and play the TR content, wish me luck boys

DXVK is a godsend for old games, even on windows
It even makes oldblivion 90% more stable, which if you've ever modded old oblivion, you'll know

Is Tomb of the Snow Prince just a land overhaul or does it also add/change quests

Just a landscape overhaul, iirc

Name a single dungeon in morrowind that has an actual puzzle or problem to solve.

if TR counts, a dwemer ruin north of firewatch has a puzzle, even if it's
skyrim-tier

This isn't zelda, give me my ancestral tombs with 3 rooms and fuck off.
Also sotha sil

thing is, I could excuse the garbage hold m1 gameplay IF there was literally anything else in the game, but there isn't
all the quests are fetch quests
the music is insanely repetitive
the visuals are barren
the dialog is literally copypasted 99% of the time

I really don't get what everyone sees in this game, I never will. It has to be nostalgia, because I'm old enough that the jank doesn't bother me, it's just genuinely a really shitty game.

khajit neravarine

pfffthahahah imagine those fucking dunmer's faces

mod the absolute shit out of it

the combat is still fucking worse than blobbers from the 90s

honestly impressive
morrowtards will never cease to amaze me

sorry best I can do is a difficulty 50 lock and a chest with a ruby and 23 gold in it

i like daggerfall, morrowind, skyrim and basebuilding in fallout 4 (although almost nothing else about the game)
don't care for fallout 3, it's just FNV but worse in every way

probing pocket realms

I ended up in there on my fucking thief. It was a good thing I had like 1 fucking scroll of telekinesis, Christ

its not a game
it's an approximation of a fantasy world
that's what makes it special
there is no gameplay, because it's not a game
you can move around in the world, you can learn to fight better or how to create better or stronger spells, but you will never be able to get a 'game' out of morrowind, because that's not what it is
it's a great approximation of a 'live in this fantasy world and do your best', without being gami-fied

you have to train, you have to spend time doing things, you have to slowly(ever so slowly, until you learn how to get around) walk around like a peasant moron, but you grow, you learn, you get stronger and stronger, you go from peasant to god, and that experience of living in that world and growing and becoming powerful, while exposed to the lore and crazy bullshit, is what makes morrowind special

if you don't like to read, it's understandable that your experience with morrowind was surface level, because if you just skip all the dialogue options and try to look for 'the gameplay', then yes - its a barren experience, but if you approach it from a roleplaying perspective it becomes something else entirely

there's no fucking way you rate arena higher than DF unless you truly despise the procgen dungeons because it does every single thing better

In TR you can go from trivial fetch quests to getting stuck in a plane of oblivion in like 30 minutes, things escalate quickly the deeper you go into the faction quests.

bloodmoon is FINE. not great. tribunal felt like when you'd buy knockoff 3rd party "100 extra level" packs for games and every single one of them was garbage. Writing was fine.

some of the dwemer places are straight up mazes. i remember some paths in the moonmoth-adjacent one that took me a million runs to find. can magic around a lot of it though.

I actually enjoy Starfield even though it is very flawed in many ways and it's a shame the modding didn't really take off on it. Bethesda should be yelled at for the shitty writing and setting but after tweaking it with mods and adjusting the difficulty to my tastes where everything's really lethal it's a pleasant way to waste some time

What's Starfield?

Anon, I'm old as fuck. I played MUDs, old DOS CYOA games, visual novels, you name it. Reading doesn't bother me. I love reading.

I would probably love reading a book or VN about Morrowind. But that's not what the game is. You admit it's barely a game, it's something close to it, the mechanics are all irrelevant and to that I say, why are they there in the first place? It's an argument that's dangerously close to 'oh, just pretend it's good'.
I don't have this problem with any other Bethesda games. Daggerfall, Oblivion, Skyrim, all have their faults, but I can enjoy parts of them. I cannot do that with Morrowind, because it feels like every element of it is weak.
What you call immersive, I call poorly designed. Spending time casting spells at mudcrabs, then resting to get mana back, then doing it again to make an arbitrary number go up isn't immersive. Seeing your dagger clip through the enemy model isn't immersive. NPCs not moving or doing anything isn't immersive. The whole 'you go from peasant to god' thing you talk about applies to quite literally the vast majority of games out there.
And no, modding these things out doesn't fix it because the rest of the game is designed with them in mind. Adding magicka regen, for example, makes the game trivial. Removing hitroll doesn't make combat feel any less unimpactful and uninteractive.

I wish I could enjoy it, I really do, when I see projects like TR. It just makes me feel like there's something I'm not seeing.

getting stuck in a plane of oblivion

is it at least one of Sanguine's ones?
catching some kind of Daedric STD is probably still better than most of the alternatives

dwemer puzzle box

Base game: atronarch riddlers under the mountain
TR: Crystal's labyrinth near the mabrigash camp

Aside from the abysmal writing, starfield's only real issue was the sheer lack of content for it. The procedurally generated planets are a complete was of time, which defeats the entire point of the game.
90% of their effort should've gone into those and gone all in on the procedural generation. Cities, NPCs, quests, all of it.
Instead, they did the usual Bethesda thing where they try to please both camps and end up pleasing none. They've been doing it a long time.

Daggerfall: Full proc-gen

Morrowind: Fully hand-made

Oblivion: Mostly hand-made

Skyrim: Leaning more towards proc-gen

Starfield: Almost fully proc-gen

So for the next TES they'll probably go right back to morrowind and fully dump all the procedural stuff, guarantee it.

nah hand designed things are too expensive to ever have again, especially if they're not completely abandoning their jank engine yet.

do you use an alt start mod to start in TR or start main quest then go there?

there is quite literally 0 chance bethesda will try to go full proc-gen again after the disaster that starfield was

disaster all the way to the bank, its so fucking garbage cheap to produce they dont need it to be good. they dont even need DLC to be good, just hyped. IF they manage to create an environment to run off UE5 or something then they can outsource work and maybe there's a chance for human creativity. nobody will ever develop for gamebryo, it's not worth a single dev hour.
