I'm guessing he's hiding lots of Dark World rules that will only be relevant later (see: Roaring). Not just for convenient plot reasons, but also he wants to make sure everyone has a good time.

I have no idea. The fact that they stay exactly the same in the Light and Dark Worlds imply they have stable 'meaning' between reality layers, which also means they are the same even in NEO Dark Worlds. Probably a key to getting closer to Gaster.

I think it's the reverse. Asgore is sweet, but I think he has a bad tendency to gift instead of actually spending time with and being emotionally open with people, existentially using flowers as a shortcut. He does it with both Toriel and Rudy so I don't necessarily see it as a romantic gesture in of itself. Rudy is the one thay outright calls to be romanced with, even if its in a joke manner. Carol is either too distant to notice or formed the marriage with Rudy out of convenience, while Toriel is the only in the group to notice what's going on and statt getting suspicious.

Sans being a Time Cop(?) and having come to Undertale from Deltarune feels very blatantly foreshadowed, but it's also really hard to see how the story actually goes in that direction. There's no way it's going to be as simple and direct as "Sans and Papyrus have a secret tunnel to The Bunker in their house and they're working with Gaster down there" that would be fucking stupid.
Understanding Kris as Deltarune's counterpart to Chara could also lead to a better understanding of Chara's characterization in Undertale. And the nature of the SOUL and our relation to Kris in Deltarune could give us more clarity on the nature of the player in Undertale.

What i struggle with understanding is that Sans claims to have no memory of any reset, yet he acts like he has some permanent memory of dealing with some time traveler murderer. But if that were true, there would be some extant evidence of Flowey killing a bunch of people without resetting. But the monsters never talk about anything like that happening.
Sans also talks about how he's given up on going to the surface or "going back" because time will reset again, but if he has no time-independent memories, he should have no idea that his "try to befriend the anomaly theory" failed. (Assuming the player did pacifist first; if an edgy player hops right into genocide, then Sans completely missed his hypothesis.)

Sans doesn't know what you know but he does know what his plan to deal with you was. He knows that you're familiar with his shtick based on your (lack of) reaction at the start of the game and he also knows that you didn't immediately try to kill him despite killing everyone else, so you must have at least been willing to hear him out once.
Sans is constantly appealing to your better nature even mid-fight because he knows actually confronting you is hopeless, and all he can hope to do is change your mind about what you're doing.

Dark World's LV already has two different set of rules that is different from UT, and the light world itself is fundamentally different from UT in the first place. The dark world is actually closer to UT than the light world in the first place, so I don't know where this "nah LV and EXP are the exact same no questions asked" comes from.
