Sadly, I don't think so. I fucking love SMTIV and Apocalypse, but bringing it to PC or console would basically require a remake. Since they were on the 3DS, they were able to get away with the 3D environment being low resolution and blocky. Bringing it to PC and just bumping the resolution would look horrific; genuinely PS1 era models and textures. They were able to (arguably) get away with it in the SMT Nocturne port because the environments looked decent as is. So they just made things less blurry and moved on.

SMTIV and Apocalypse would need to gut the 3D mechanics, upgrade a majority of models, bump the textures/resolution, add in proper camera control, and essentially prep for players being able to now see what was hidden by the 3DS' limitations.

I would fucking adore a port, but they would have to do a lot of work. Which, looking at the Nocturne port, they seem against that notion. It would be sick though. SMTIV has my favorite setting and world to explore in the entire series. Hell, being able to play those games with all of the DLC alone would be awesome. SMTIV and Apocalypse had a weird amount of proper DLC missions despite being on handheld, most of which I would bet people completely missed.

Raidou is the older game so clearly they're doing that first to try and revive the Raidou series as a whole. They're probably going to at least remaster and/or port IV and IVA at some point, it'd be kinda weird for them not to.

It always feels like Raidou 1 weakness is the combat and that 2 is better, but seeing that they're just going to add in the entire 2's combat to 1, 1 remake is easily going to be the best Raidou game.

And those games are generally considered bad by anyone who isn't a fanatic for anything Pokemon related? We're talking about mainline SMT; an already somewhat more niche JRPG series compared to things like Pokemon. They already have an uphill battle selling these games to a lot of people.

Look man, I love SMTIV and SMTV. But SMTV's literal worst aspect was its writing/characters. At least with SMTIV, the characters are generally by your side, consistently commenting on events, having moments that push them to their alignment, have breaking points, but still genuinely want you on their side. SMTV's characters just flip in the last few hours and are actively antagonistic towards you at times even if you're siding with them. It's nonsensical and genuinely felt unfinished. Hence why SMTV:V basically just remixes everything. Which is an improvement, but it brings it from a 2/10 to a 6/10 story.

SMT IV story suck ass, though. SMT I was peak.

You can talk to Dazai's roommate and classmates that tell you he's always been a schizo and the only reason it's not outwardly apparent is due to being a people pleaser. He lacks the strength to assert himself which he desperately wants to do because he wants to be popular. It's why he's a youtuber because he's chasing recognition. Unlike previous lawfags that get mind fucked into their alignment, Dazai was always hard law, the only thing keeping him back was his cowardice. In CoC you can see the steady build up of his character and realizing being the sword of heaven is how he gets that recognition he craves. Abdiel does the exact same thing because you find out she let the rest of the Seraphim die in the war and didn't revive them like she was supposed to so she could also get recognition.

If you actually fucking read the side dialog, he's actually the best law fag in the series.

SMTV has this problem as a whole. Look at Yakumo. Easily one of the coolest and most interesting characters. But the only way you find out half of his motivations, what drove him to where he is, is by talking to random figurehead NPCs on the city map every couple story beats. A character with extremely interesting nuance in how he views demons, works with them, what he lost in the past, and how he's fighting now. None of that is actually really present in the story. You have to go talk to NPC #48 for critical info.

SMTIV, and many other SMT entries, have that same world-building and context through NPC dialogue. And they also have things play out in the main story. You get both. SMTV is a fantastic game; the characters and story are mediocre at best, outright unfinished feeling at worst.

4/4A have more demons that 5 and 3 combined.

Why a remake? Wouldn't it be better for them to make a PC remaster for SMT 1 and 2 that have a difficulty option that fixed the lack of balance so that one could still play with the original difficulty, allowed you to change between the SNES and PS art styles on the fly and included the extra content from the flip phone versions?
Remakes for these would be horrible. Only SMT game that warrants a remake imo is the first Majin Tensei, all of the DemiKids games and SMT Nine since there's so much shit wrong with these games that warrant a remake to fix them and turn them into a good game. There's also Digital Devil Saga 2 which is a good game but has a really rushed story because DDS was supposed to be trilogy but got turned into a duology, so remaking 2 into two games so that the devs can finally tell the story they originally wanted would be cool.
