Spess Marine 2

So they really couldn't get him voiced by the same fucking guy?

1498769865.png - 562x359, 428.36K

Mark Strong was a D-lister back in 2008-2010, he became an A-lister shortly after that.

The new devs are vatniks and therefore are a liability hence why they settled with another D-lister.

It's not like having Mark Strong would matter, the campaign is only 5-6 hours long and this Titus has less lines compared to the original.

Console space marine 2 is a joke compared to pc, we're lucky to get an armor piece each update while pc is getting fucking classes.

How are you not getting the same shit when there's crossplay?

file.png - 298x108, 4.94K

"vatniks"

Is this a bot or is this autistic masking?

he has a cooler role in SM2

Xbox version doesn't let you, that company can't do anything right.

play Space Marine 2

Angel of Death difficulty

have some amount of fun

protecting the antennas

have a rough time

what a difficult segment. I'm obviously doing something wrong and I'm a bit stuck

Angel of Death is meant to be played with human friends, the bots are simply useless even if you have mastered the game's mechanics.

The vatnik devs refuse to thoroughly improve the bots because they're retarded.

oh you can you coop with people in the campaign? I'll just try that. but what about what I could do better? what guns, or chainsword or knife

The vatnik devs refuse to thoroughly improve the bots because they're retarded.

More like malicious, can't afford to make grinding easier and damage their precious engagement numbers or whatever it's called; remember when they accidentally made the bots useful and almost immediately lobotomized them?

Doesn't matter, just minmax the heavy weaponry the game gives you.

The hardest one to solo will be the Volkite engine horde defense mission.

all right. the bots do seem useless, yes, but I should at least be able to do some things better.

New guy is pretty good, I don't care.

The one thing I hate about Space Marine 2 is that it made me hate Chaplains. What the fuck why did they make the coolest space marine unit be that chud Leandros?

why are you getting triggered by common slang

isn't he actually good? he sounds like the Force Commander from Dawn of War.

Commander Hairgel talked?

Leandros was right though, every OldMarine from 2nd company agreed with him

He was also canonically promoted by Calgar and Guilliman

I was pleasantly surprised by the voice acting in the game overall. There's not really anything groanworthy, and it's consistent.
The horrifying sound of that chick screaming at you through the radio with distortion sounds like a demon trying to rape your ear, though.

He maybe be right but I don't like his attitude.
He has like negative charisma.
Compare that to the chaplain from DoW1.
youtube.com/watch?v=PJ5s81NRdQE&t=7s
Leandros talks more like an Inquisitor.

are you dishonest by choice or by nature?

You can crossplay but not touch mods, says PC players are kept separate from console players in this mode for "balancing".

You only hate Leandros because he snitched on Titus in SM1, he does nothing of the sort in SM2

He's a mild dick at best

go squat on a corner, Ivan

I play Operations and encounter Snoy and Xbronies all the time

Snoy players are decent, Xbronies are mostly garbage

PC players range from absolutely retarded to godlike but the latter are rare

Thousand Chads

We're getting SM 3, what race should Titus be fighting? What Traitor Legion should interfere?

I want Orks. Hell, make a mechanically similar spinoff called "Orky Boy."

With gameplay mods? Not that I'd know, I don't play online.

Emperor's Children, go 18+

Fulgrim final boss but you'll have Girlyman, Calgar and Tigurius at your side

Malum Caedo joins Titus' squad, if they want to promote Titus as a captain they can kill off one captain of some reserve company

Bring the Orkz back along with the Tyranids, double WAAAGH and Tyranid invasion

Necrons fuck shit up but Fulgrim keks them

I want space marine 2 tier games for the other factions, dressing and coloring necrons or orks would be fun; can't imagine slow walking through levels as a skeleton, though.

none of the remaining factions really work for the horde-slaughtering gameplay of the first two, if they want to do something new instead of retreading Orks or Tyranids

Could Tau and their client races not horde a bnit? The Kroot seem to be for that purpose.

Players are anal about Tyranid snipers in the game, imagine adding an actual ranged shooty faction. People would refund because it'll be 'too hard'.

Can't do Eldar because they're in a quasi-alliance with the Imperium now.

Not really, plus an entire faction of ranged niggers would probably make people lose their shit

Damn. I really want to crush some blueberry skulls like Cato.

decent chance we get a bit of Tau murder in Dark Heresy

ranged tyranids and traitor guardsmen already fucks up even the best players since they can easily eat no less than 70%-80% of your health
imagine fire warriors, pathfinders and all sorts of ranged xv suits
the slav devs repainted a zombie horde game into a 40k one, the tau would slow the game to a crawl since players will turtle from cover to cover

BROTHAH I AM PINNED HERE

Why does it have to be Orkz OR Tyranids? Go the Dawn of War route and make it be both of them hitting the same planet and everything going totally tits up.
Either way the Chaos behind the scenes should be Word Bearers for more daemons and to play up the Calth angle.

retarded consolenigger lol

Tau railguns are basically sniper rifles to the Imperium and they hit equally just as well, you're basically playing Sniper Elite: 40k instead of Space Marine.

could just cut out the middleman and have a corrupted hive world with hordes of cultists to stomp

Word Bearers

no

since relic is back doing 40k stuff they need to take this ip off the inept and retarded slavs
since relic also sucks they just need to partner off with someone more competent than them

The Thousand Sons were picked as the main enemy simply because players already fought Bloodletters and Plague drones in SM1

The games are just a vehicle to IRL plastic shit which the Thousand Sons did get a couple of months after SM2 released

Since vidya like this takes like 3-5 years to create the devs are always under the mercy of James Workshop's whims

For ostensibly being the smartest legion they are pretty retarded.

Disobey the Emperor and keep fucking with the Warp

blow up the Webway ON ACCIDENT

have to join the traitors because you're such fuckups

try to cure your legion's genetic illness

turn yourselves into zombies instead

nonstop infighting

their Primarch is a retard, it's genetic

Why is Gadriel so babygirl?

Space Marine 3 should feature these guys instead of the blueberries.

They are?

grab sword

become traitor

filled with Chaos worshippers

Emperor doesn't banish them from the beginning

accidentally fake sister and entire planet

become traitor

serial murderers

Emperor just lets them be

space wolves snitch on the thousand sons and then burns down their entire planet down

while they still worship their own planet and get away with

then they fight against the inquisition and get away with that too

fuck space furries

Imagine the SAG payrates on Mark Strong now. With an extra 15 years of seniority? He'd be unaffordable.

they nerfed it I replayed it recently and played when it came out

I want them to do Orks again so we can get more than 3 enemies the whole game. I want to fight some Mekboyz, Weirdboyz and Killa Kans

Blame their retard primach

Apart from Horus, literally nothing apart from Big Daddy could do a thing to Leman Russ. If anything bad did happen to his planet or his sons, he'd do a 360 in the Warp, tear himself into realspace by ripping Slaanesh's bussy a new hole, and make the Horus Heresy look small time without Warp Storms or the madness of Chaos affecting his judgment.

Some things don’t get passed on.

Angelos.png - 828x823, 907.78K

Not fighting Necron's after the whole tomb world tease would be a massive blueballing.
As for the inevitable Traitor Legion appearance I want Iron Warriors

this is the kind of fanboy crap wolves think they deserve

your not helping your image kid

I vote the give Titus the 2nd back and bump off shitarius, but I know that’s wishful thinking.

the genetic retardation mutated into genetic kleptomania for the Blood Ravens

Magnus refuses to listen to any warning about Warp

"It's totally safe guys! I'm an expert!"

learns about Horus being a traitor

has a genius idea to relay this message to Emps via a Warp projection or something

actual human sacrifices needed, not a problem

projects himself through Warp

Earth is surrounded by Warp barriers? Lemme smash!

breaks daddy's Webway, demons get a gateway to realspace

realizes what he's done

curls inside his chamber and starts crying

Emps tells Horus to task Leman Russ with BRINGING Magnus to him

Horus, being a traitor, tells Russ Emprah wants him to kill Magnus

Russ doesn't actually want to kill Magnus, keeps calling him on space telephone

Magnus ignores incoming calls, keeps sobbing

Russ descends on Prospero, starts fighting TSons

Magnus keeps sobbing, then decides that he wants to save his people AFTER ALL (when millions died)

fights Russ, almost wins but gets trickstabbed

a moment before death, Tzeentch appears, tells Magnus he tricked him all the time, offers to teleport his captial city, Tizca, into Warp in exchange for servitude

Magnus accepts

somehow, Russ is at fault

common slang

utterly out of fashion word used only by autistic Elliot Rogers tier incels on this gay ass website

And this nigga uses it in every post he makes lmao. That ain't finna make it "common" juss cuz u be saying it buddy.

Why wasn't the whole game about customizing and playing as a squad of Deathwatch veterans? Shit would have been so much better that fucking gay Ultrasmurfs.

He was objectively wrong, are you retarded? Titus is obviously not corrupted, tainted, or otherwise heretical. It's like, the point of both games. Fucking total mongoloid ape.

how did they nerf it
you mean to say it's doable and i just need to git gud?

snitched

falsely accused the most loyal marine literally ever, so loyal the emperor spoke for the first time in a gorillion years just to tell titus to keep living.

"snitched on"

Innocence proves nothing.

Can you run the co op missions offline yet?

You've been able to forever. They won't give you credit online and the bots are tards, though.

getting blacklisted by wokies for working for a russian studio

ultramarines are the poster boys
deathwatch as a faction they haven't done shit with despite their ripe lore
the deathwatch isn't a "true" marine faction and are faction of orde xenos so maybe thats part of them being hesitant to use them
despite everyone thinking them more as the expendables of marines. but that has to do with GW not doing shit to make their identity distinct

1ksons fans know magnus is a retard and understand ahriman is the real hero of the 1ksons
Wolves are retards who think their faction is capable of this shit

Space furries kept that shit on the dl; Magnus astral projected into the Emperor's basement like the fucking Koolaid Man and did more to help Horus than any of the other Primarchs ON ACCIDENT.

m-maybe if I quote a darktide loading screen I'll seem smarter! Le heckin grimdarkerino!

PC players are kept separate from console players in this mode for "balancing"

No, random-queue PC players are segregated from console players. If you form a party with someone cross-play, you are not segregated.

There is cross-play in every mode.

Shut up fag.

that quote is probably older than you, tertiary

orde xenos needs development so its not just thought as being the deathwatch

I thought they were french

try to cure your legion's genetic illness

turn yourselves into zombies instead

I haven't read 40k lore since like 4th edition, why did they change this, what the fuck

That part is harder because the game doesn't fucking work. The boxes aren't proper cover. The 'nids shoot you through the boxes. If you are taking cover, you are choosing to die for free. It gets significantly easier when you learn that the game doesn't fucking work and you just run at them aggressively.

WE ARE THE GODS OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER
WE ARE THE SOLDIERS, THE LEGION OF LIGHT
WE ARE THE CENTER, THE DEATH OF THE SUN
FIRE AND FLAME
WE ARE ONE
I miss it so much bros.

where do you think Saber St. Petersburg is located

I haven't read 40k lore since like 4th edition, why did they change this, what the fuck

I'm not familiar with edition lore, but I was being reductive. I was referring to the Rubricae so not "zombies" but mostly-mindless ghost puppets. Still more retarded than just living with occasional mutations, but I guess Ahriman didn't know what was going to happen.

the WoD series just isn't the same

i have no idea. I only say this because I got to play it first at game con canada and the devs that were there were speaking french to each other and I asked them questions about it. None of them were russkies

I really wish thousand sons weren’t the face of tzeentch space marines. They hurt tzeentch so much and are so uncreative.

their main dudes also hate tzeentch so its hard to think of the whole legion as being tzeentch marines
i hope the alpha legions are the true tzeentch marines

Better than goats, but they really should mix in more of his daemons; also, let us fight a vortex beast!

prologue is the best part of the entire game

Sad!

For me it was the stunlocking. Getting stunlocked by a fucking gaunt, then stunlocked by the next 15 behind the first fucker, then panic rolling 4cm to the left only to get stunlocked again. I didn't ever feel like a space marine - I felt like a fat-rolling Dark Souls character.

If you do your perks right, you can prevent a lot of the stunning.

Just make Titus not a squishy bitch who goes down to a handful of deathspitter maggots.
It'd be kino as fuck to be running through a barrage of pulse fire to chainsaw some tau.

yes pretty much it used to be a lot harder I wont be mean and say git gud

Why wasn't the whole game about customizing and playing as a squad of Deathwatch veterans?

You kinda can do that in Operations, but I get you.
I would have preferred SM2 was about Titus's time in the Deathwatch. I don't need a big story - just vignettes of missions throughout the century or two he was serving. Better variety of enemies. Better variety of missions too.

Triggered vatniks

I dunno, the face of the "faction" being some guys who got bamboozled so hard by Tzeentch even though they still worked for him is pretty apt

TTS was ironically gay.
HtP is really fuckin' gay.

Necrons and Word Bearers for le rivalry
have it be on calth with the maguffin being used to try and fix the sun by guilliman while Lorgar tries and causes another ruinstorm.

they also completely changes titus' personality, hes not even really the same character. the original was so much better, but mark strong can bring likeability and gravitas to anything.

protecting the antennas

Fuuuuuuck that mission. Your squadmates never cop agro - nid warriors will be standing next to the cunts and just shooting you from across the map.

And then Bird Dad shows up for the finale to dunk Lorgar's head in a toilet and give him a swirly.

B O R E A L U M

putting primarchs in these games

also

The mcguffin is an anti-warp Necron artefact to they are trying to reclaim it, Ultramar planet is being invaded by necron fleet

Big epic le battle between titus and necron leader, titus wins and necron leader calls him an idiot

Warp portal opens and Lorgar steps through and kills Calgar, rekts titus's shit and steals the mcguffin to Calth to remake the ruinstorm and trap the regent in Ultramar

Guilliman persues with a couple thousand space marines both ultramarines and successor chapters and makes Titus temporary legion master using stolen last wall protocols

Big le epic battle in the ancient battlefields filled with heresy corpses and vehicle wrecks

Titus vs Argal Tan + Guilliman vs Lorgar

Argal Tan kills, Titus and Guilliman beat up Lorgar

Mcguffin rescued but Necrons sneak it and steal it out from under them or a huge fuck off Necron fleet arrives and demands it and they hand it over.

Lorgar and Guilliman have heart to heart and Lorgar uses his chaos powerz to turn Calths sun normal again so it can be livable and then flees through a warp portal.

Titus becomes chapter master of the Ultramarines and there is a big celebration

THE END

go back to dbz

I like it

but they're also completely stagnant unchanging unthinking unplanning empty shells for 95% of the legion, it's like the direct opposite of what tzeentch stands for

They’re not killing any major characters in this, at best you might get some low iq retard from the 4th company.

only good parts are kevin and matilda
everything else is a chode

"literally everyone is a pawn in my game, including and especially my most loyal servants" is exactly what Tzeentch stands for

and also change, it's why he hates nurgle so much for the stagnation he embodies, tzeentch cannot stand when somehting remains the same and the 1k sons are the definition of stagnation

People rag on the Ultramarines, Custodes, Grey Knights but the real Mary Sues are the Spess Yiffs.

They are never portrayed negatively in any way shape or form, never flawed, etc. It's always the other side who is in the wrong.

Mark Strong like all actors had SAG since they joined, the difference back then is that he was a nobody but today he's the token Bong in every movie.

Voiceover is simply beneath him at this point unless he really liked voicing Titus.

The Blood Ravens are retards though

sergeant in the intro ordered a Thunderhawk airstrike on his own position, lost a Predator, lost a Dreadnought and lost his entire squad even though he was told that reinforcements are en route and incoming

you have a Librarian advocating direct assaults and wasting the IG as a disposable meat shield

despite being told by the Eldar no, the captain still destroys the seal and unleashes a greater daemon

one captain wasted 4 full companies of Spess Mehreens

okay but STEHL REHN thoughbeit

Strong isn't in SM2

Leandros was ostracized by the 2nd company for what he did in SM1, he's spent the entire time between 1 and 2 rebuilding the company's trust in him and has only been Chaplain for a few years.

you have a Librarian advocating direct assaults and wasting the IG as a disposable meat shield

Based. IG are expendable.

Leandros was ostracized by the 2nd company for what he did in SM1

Not true, in Secret Level the veteran guy who plucked Titus off Ultramar suspected him of taint and heresy after he survived warp shenanigans during the events of SM1.

In SM2 you mostly meet Primaris chuds who didn't know anything and thought Titus was just a Deathwatch guy who returned. Acheran is a Primaris (only one service stud) and he initially didn't want Titus either.

If Calgar was truly seething about Leandros he and Guilliman wouldn't have promoted him and would have gone through lengths to get Titus back, especially when he was serving with the Deathwatch.

He got promoted to a primarch.

I was under the impression that serving and fighting for the Imperium while staying anonymous was a great honor for the Space Marine.

These are Ultramarines, not the Raven Guard or the Raptors.

Deathwatch gives a Marine a mixed reputation within the Imperium. Decades of service in His name is appreciated, but being put into Deathwatch immediately makes those "in the know" suspicious as to WHY said Marine was put into Deathwatch in the first place.

If an Ultramarine is in Deathwatch, then that's huge red flags for everyone because that blueberry had to do something really fucking bad to get pulled out of his chapter.

you get a bolt in the skull if you serve for 100 years tour

What can you actually do with the bolt? Can you sell or trade for better gears or?

the deathwatch isn't punishment, they're all volunteers
titus served as a blackshield, no one knew he was an ultramarine until he pulls out his chainsword
serving the deathwatch is a honour to the chapter

I didn't know there was a lore update/change/clarification. They way I'd always viewed Deathwatch is that it's the tool used to get rid of problem Marines without breaking tradition or hurting greater morale. Something like in real-life where officers that have done something unbelievably disgraceful are relocated to some podunk base to end their career quietly without causing a public scandal.

literally everyone is a pawn in my game, including and especially my most loyal servants" is exactly what Tzeentch stands for

except for the fact that those pawns can and will usurp the kings with their own schemes in a constant throe of chaos except for when you make them literal golems.

the chaos is a part of it, tzeentch loves his own minions scheming against him and each other, the only thing is you can't scheme the architect of fate successfully. but tzeentch does love when everyone is trying to trick everyone else

Not really. It just tells at a glance how long the marine has served for. Making it to 300 years is rather rare, even though technically a marine could live for up to 1000 years.
Notable Old Boys (not including stasis, chaos, or dreadnoughts)

Dante: 1500 years

Te Kahurangi: 2000 years

Logan Grimnar: 700 years

Lysander: 1500 years (less 1000 years for time dilation, so really 500 years)

Ulrik the Slayer: 700 years

Mark Strong didn't want to voice Titus again because of Russia

Still Comes back to voice Calgar.

How retarded do you have to be think and believe that this is true. Your first part is the correct. They said they wanted to get Mark Strong back to voice Titus but he was way to busy shooting a bunch of movies at that time, so they didn't want to stop development of the game just for one actor.

tzeentch is a pretty fascinating fixture in the lore since there's really no definitive theme to them
most other of the gods have easily defined themes. khorne has bloodthirsty beserkers, slaanesh has sex, drugs, and rock and roll, nurgle has pussfiled zombie bugs
just in fantasy alone you have
scrimblos, scheming cultists, mutating knights, birds, and fireballs
40k adds onto that by adding in the dust warriors, and egyptian shit

Unless they changed the lore, the only time the Deathwatch can be seen as punishment is the Marine is a Black Shield. To forsake your chapters colors/banner means you must have done something to lose the right to wear it. Normally the Deathwatch is a great honor and its mostly for Marines that are skilled or veterans.

Calgar isn't voiced by Mark Strong dimwit.

Uwotm8?

The Deathwatch doesn't just take random nobodies unless they're renegades or Black shields. Black shields came to be during the end of the Heresy where loyalists from traitor legions needed somewhere to go that isn't the Grey Knights/Knights Errant, Ultramarines and Imperial Fists.

Titus was a Black shield because he was found by a Grey Knight strike team inside the heretic Inquisitor's ship who took him and thought that the Ultramarines abandoned him. His only memento was his Ultramarine chainsword from the first game.

to forsake your chapters colors/banner means you must have done something to lose the right to wear it. Normally the Deathwatch is a great honor and its mostly for Marines that are skilled or veterans.

Not always. Very rarely marines who have lost their chapter (through war or annihilation) become Black Shields.

Should i play the first one?

When the fuck are they going to give us lore accurate Crimson Fist arm patterns so that just the fists are red?

True but most of the time if their chapter is annihilated(Assuming the chapter wasn't annihilated because they went rouge or fell to chaos) they can still rebuild the chapter and other chapters will help to rebuild it. This is what I remember the old fluff about black shields but I haven't kept up with WH40K fluff for a long time.

They already did. You can change the color of your fists/gloves.

First one has a longer campaign and is fun, especially if you like Orkz more than Nids. I have no clue if pvp is still active, but if it is, pvp in 1 is better in 2.

Mark Strong didn't want to voice Titus again because of Russia

Still Comes back to voice Calgar

Uhh, in sm2 Calgar is voiced by Stewart Scudamore though?

The PVP is still "active" in the sense that you have one option that you can play that gets a maybe a lobby and a half during peak hours. I'd play it more if it wasn't peer to peer and shat the bed constantly despite having a decent connection to my ISP

tbf my most recent knowledge is from the FFG roleplaying games. It's brief on Black Shields from that describes Astartes who were serving on the Death Watch when their home chapter was destroyed, so they scrub their markings and serve forever on the watch.

The origin of a Deathwatch Black Shield can vary greatly. Some may be the sole survivors of their Chapters with all of their battle-brothers lost to war, disaster or the irreversible deterioration of their gene-stock. With no other Chapter organisation left, the survivor joins the Deathwatch to mark his final years.

A darker origin for a Black Shield is that of one whose battle-brothers have turned away from their duty and the Emperor's Grace. Alone amongst his fellows the Black Shield did not fall into corruption or the subtle traps of the Archenemy, keeping his faith when all about him lost theirs.

A Space Marine who feels that they have failed their Chapter in some critical undertaking may choose to take the Black Shield to forever hide the shame of their failure. A great relic entrusted to their care may have been lost, or a vital mission they led miscarried in tragic fashion with unconscionable casualties.

It is said that those who have rediscovered the Emperor's Light may yet seek to absolve their traitorous past through service in the Deathwatch, forever striving to make amends for their fall from grace. Whether redemption can ever be truly found for the Lost and the Damned only the God-Emperor Himself can say.

God the deathwatch armor looks so much better,

Just Mk7 and Mk8 look better than MkX in general. Primaris stuff doesn't land for me at all.

Honestly, the biggest issue with the Primaris has always been the helmet. They should just come up with a fucking "Mk11.5 special helmet" that is just the Mk7, but bigger, and then phase out the Primaris helmet until it's another obscure one.

Honestly, the biggest issue with the Primaris has always been the boots

They should just come up with a fucking "Mk11.5 no more Buzz Lightyear" that's just the Mk7 but bigger.

The others technically have the same breadth but it gets far less focus as they're harder to translate into rules.
