Is the new Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster worth playing? I've never played the original, but the concept of the game always intrigued me. Does the game just end if you don't complete it within 72 hours? I'm going to assume that it adds a lot of tension.

censored and uglified. Play the original. It looks fine these days at high rez anyway.

i've covered boobs you know

Just play the original. It's on everything.
The new one is censored and for some reason they removed all the mirrors from the game because the new engine can't do reflections like the old one could.

Is the new Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster worth playing?

lol no

It is nowhere near as bad as some anons suggest. That said, the original still holds up perfectly fine on the 360. Get it on sale at Halloween or something.

They turned Jessie and Isabela into hags, fuck the remaster just play the original.
Oh boy here we go

Too casualized, so if you want to play it once and never again then go ahead

They changed voice lines to be less offensive, removed erotic photo bonuses and made the character models uglier.

Yes. I've played both to death, and if you're new, just play the Remaster. Other anons will claim the Remaster is "easier", but really the difficulty from the original stemmed from abysmal AI and other lacking QoL features; the difficulty was purely artificial.

Does the game just end if you don't complete it within 72 hours? I'm going to assume that it adds a lot of tension.

Yeah, each in-game day equates to 2 real hours, so your playthrough will be approximately 6 hours regardless. But it encourages multiple playthroughs since you'll likely not get all survivors on your first attempt.

abysmal AI

Christ, you people keep parroting this shit to death. The original has bad AI yeah, but all you need to do is tell them to wait at a location and the problem is solved. You're telling him to play an inferior version of a game instead of learning how to solve a problem.

Character models look significantly worse on the older version

True, but Anon Babble's a contrarian hellscape incapable of admitting that fact. If right was released in 2006, and left was released today, they'd just flip the script. It's just how they are.

Shit I really want to replay the original now.
Is the Steam version alright?

Frank and Jessie look considerably worse in the remaster. The fuck are you smoking?

I hate crowbcat because... I just do ok?? Am I cool yet Anon Babble?

working mirrors in the xbox 360 version

working mirrors in the wii version

no working mirrors in the ebin super deluxe remaster version that needs 16gigs of ram to run

but all you need to do is tell them to wait at a location and the problem is solved

That doesn't solve their broken pathing. Anytime they need to make a turn, leave your line of sight, bump a single zombie, etc., they'll likely stop entirely, and when the main gimmick is having limited time, this can make for an incredibly frustrating experience.
The best thing the original has going for it is a few VOs (Frank's, Brad's), and the nostalgia factor, which would be lost on OP anyway.

crow the GOD with another drop of fire in a sea of shit

Play the original. The demaster butchers the gameplay. And yeah you're on a time limit. Game has a ton of replayability

what? The original model looks vastly superior
even frank looks better
are you an idiot who can only parse "resolution" and doesn't understand art style?

Character models look significantly worse on the older version

posts an image demonstrating the opposite

Yes you are, welcome anon

They race swapped the butcher from Chinese to American.

it truly is baffling to me that to the average normalfag the remastered looks better. Is it just that "more detail = more better" to their simple minds?

And removed all the anti communist dialogue

lifeless, unfocused eyes. they have here just staring a thousand miles forward rather than at a focal point right in front of her

Crazy how all it took was for him to attack the sacred cow of the moment(RE4 demake).

Is it just that "more detail = more better" to their simple minds?

Yes. It's literally that simple. Anytime a new game gets shown off or a remaster is shown, what's the first thing these morons always say?

"Yoooo these graphics!"

"OMG this looks so good!"

"These graphics are insane!"

People have been shitting on him for years before that.

My favorite thing about the demaster is when you do Frank's knee drop, and he inexplicably goes up in the air by like 2 or 3 feet before crashing down.

if you ever legitimately need to ask if you should play the original or the remake of ANYTHING, you should instead just fucking kill yourself
