What kind of build should I focus on?

gorilla arms

the one that shoots

You can easily beat the game with the trashiest of builds. Game's a joke difficulty wise

Shotgun/Katana.

The throwing the game to the garbage build

Downloading the enemies of night city mod first and first. Spec early into reflex to get about a 9 for dodge abilities and then from there if you have phantom liberty put 20 into body, intelligence and tech and becoming a tanky af build that can kill just by looking at enemies.

Rebecca build

I would recommend the uninstall build. Once I used that build I had the best experience with the game ever.

tranny game

Big assault rifles

gorilla arms, jump around, fly on rooftops, smash down like hulk

Refund this slop amd "build" a better game library

Can only fuck dudes or girls

"muh trannies"

What should I play instead then? I'm listening.

i somehow always end up netrunning and running smartguns it feels like the most cyberpunk/cool type of build but i wanna try something else if they ever make a sequel/another expansion

Sounds good. Can you recommend me some games I could get to "build" a better game library?

doesnt matter unless youre on very hard

get.png - 192x278, 76.16K

honestly it gets easy on very hard at high levels

i played the game at launch and 3 months ago and in both cases i basically 1shot everyone towards endgame.

it was only hard when trying to play phantom liberty at level 20 on max difficulty as a netrunner i got stuck on the opening fight against waves of hansen troops for a long time

In the same genre? Deus Ex.

Show me your current library and I'll decide if you're worth saving

I was actually pretty dissapointed there isn't really a visual option to go full-borg in the game.
The most you get is some metal shit on your hands, and some visual flairs for mantis blades and stuff like that.
Dunno if we'll ever see a decent Rebecca mod, let alone a Rebecca Smasher mod. One can dream though

this

see, i want to do this, but then i always end up with a full chrome and adrenaline rush build, where i just spam comrade's hammer and the arm launcher at point blank

High Int /Body build using a mix of melee and quick hacking to be a cyber samurai

I'm sort of jealous of you guys being able to enjoy the game. But after experiencing the miserable shitshow of the original plotline + PL and especially the anime any mention of cyberpunk just sends me into a seething rage.

the miserable shitshow of the original plotline

The story is good with the exception of losing Jackie not having a lot of emotional weight to it

If you like Deux Ex there's no reason not to like 2077 besides the usual TORtanic niggery

95% of video games are easy to beat , even games people say are difficult like Hotline Miami or Dark Souls are easy as shit. Especially RPG's and ARPG's like 2077

The story is good with the exception of

nta but it's barely passable, and it's all because of how dogshit V and Johnny are
V literally sounds like itsagundam in more ways than one

Tell me your favorite games and I'll decide if you're worth listening too.

Pick one form of combat that seems most fun for you and focus primarily on that tree/attribute. Get Technical Ability as a secondary focus so you can improve your cyberware. There, that’s enough to be successful.

V and Johnny's writing are good, but I agree the voice acting is passable at best. Both va's just kind of phone it in at times but I think the story overall is good. Mike Pondsmith and the writing team for 2077 I think did a good job imo

Crash Bandicoot 2, Banjo Kazooie, Castlevania Rondo of Blood and Death Stranding

The story is absolute and utter ass. I've never enjoyed the idea of having a second voice in my character's head, making unnecessary quips all the fucking time and they built the game's entire storyline around that concept. And, it's utter fucking miserywank. Even if you do everything right, you have no happy ending awaiting you. At best you're dead within a couple of months, and even in the one ending that has even a modicum of hope attached to it yoy get half of your buddies killed for no reason. Yes, for literally no reason, since the game gives you the option of assaulting Arasaka completely alone if you choose some certain esoteric dialogue options during the gameplay, but if you want to go with the Avocados you're forced to sacrifice half of them. And in the one ending where you get to live you become a cripple and everyone who knows you will now refuse to associate with you.

Man I fucking hate the story of this game more than any other game I've ever played. Literally could not give an example of a game that had a story I enjoyed less. If I suddenly got news that every writer that worked on it died in a violent rampage I swear to you I would fucking celerbrate.

cosmetic Cyberware mods can put a dent in trying to cultivate this sort of look. i'm partial to this creator's limbs because they're compatible with the skin texture overhaul i use, but there's other stuff by other creators, too.
nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/20334
just make sure you're getting ArchiveXL or CCXL Cyberware mods, cause that means they're additional content and don't replace any base game assets.
(pic related isn't mine, just from the Nexus gallery)

for me, it was Sandevistan + Reflex + Gorilla Arms. half the time i'm a handgun demon, and the other half i'm a speedster.

The story is a major reason to love Deus Ex and hate 2077.

i don't know how anyone could pretend this game isn't fun as fuck. the sandbox and side quests alone blow most RPGs the fuck away.

muh happy ending

oh brother

adult body Becca

It's heretical but damn I love it.
Anyway, OP, go Gorilla Arms + Berserk and punch everything.

Yes. If there is no happy ending, it's a bad story. No exceptions.

Beg more cybertroon maybe you can get some more opinions off IGN

What's your favorite video game? I played a shitton of Bloodborne and Fallout New Vegas because I like build variety; Right now I'm playing through all the STALKERS with some Shadow of Mordow on the side.

they measure the weight of your brain in micrograms, huh?

did people who talked about all this "rolling a character" shit think cdpr was making a larian style game or what

Being a masochist who likes feeling miserable is not a sign of intelligence, it's just your fetish.

Reflexes/Cool Katana/Revolver
Sandevistan
Dense bones for stronger sword attacks
Micro rotors for faster sword attacks
Stabber for critical sword attacks
Wear a cybervisor even though you don't use quickhacks because it looks cool
Gorilla arms if you want
Also level up tech for Edgerunner

Body instead of Reflex for a cyber samurai?

Rebecca was always an adult though.

Cyberpunk is different, once you get to about level 20 nothing in the game is a challenge anymore on any difficulty

Did a run with Sandevistan and 3 revolvers with a ton of air dashes, shit was cash.
Tho when you hit max level, you have so many points that you can run multiple builds at the same time, talent tree ain't really balanced.

Build guys what's the best build hrmmm??? I really want to min max the fun out of the game in the most optimal way possible

Just play the fucking game nigger holy shit

And, it's utter fucking miserywank. Even if you do everything right, you have no happy ending awaiting you

So you're a brainlet who needs a happy ending and don't like the mere theoretical concept of a character having 2 different voices which makes you unable to read any kind of book where different perspectives are used in general? What are you retarded?

Also there are happy endings in 2077, the aldecaldo ending is objectively happy ending. It's defiantly spitting in the face of deatg, it's choosing family above all, it's cathartic, the fact you don't even see it this way makes you , objectively, a brainlet

Reflex is more of a cyber ninja kind of thing whereas body is just being an OP melee powerhouse. It's semantics, you can level either and play as a melee / quick hacking build. You're gonna need to put some level in both reflex and body either way but I think focusing more on body vs reflex makes you a tankier more hard hitting kind of melee build therefore "cyber samurai" not "cyber ninja". They're both fun builds for similar reasons.

Every RPG has that issue, at a certain point in an RPG you just become OP even on the hardest difficulties and because most RPG's always have gameplay aspects which can be exploited you don't even need to level. Take Morrowind for example , once you get to midgame leveling your already OP and the game itself is busted so you can cheese your way through the game anyways

Anyone ever do an absolute minimum cyberware build? Pure human?

Technically, yes. I'm just not into the petite body type.

Started a new build and am going blades/SMG. Which is a pretty standard choice since they're both reflex. Also going body and going to go even heavier into tech this time. It's a lot different from my sniper/pistol/stealth/netrunner build original playthrough. Not even using quickhacks at all this time but I might change my mind on that.
I'm still debating on how to start combat though. My third weapon is a throwing knife, and I don't mind throwing some into cool to make them better, but I don't want to accidentally make throwing knives better for mid-combat than SMGs, I specifically want to shoot guns as I run toward an enemy and then start slicing them in the face.
Should I even bother with smart weapons? I don't want to go into intelligence either, especially because my cyberware doesn't even have RAM or quickhack slots so it's a waste. I tried it a bit but it just takes way too long to lock on when I could already be killing them with a power SMG, without any of the smart perks.

The fuck you on about? Multiple pov books aren't the same as having multiple voices in your head.

Yoy must be trolling, because the avocado ending is pure fucking misery. You get half of them killed for zero reason and you'll be dead within the year. What the fuck do you find happy about that?

yes I got my sworn brothers dead but I feel good about it because I got my catharsis fix :)

I get it now. You're not a masochist, you're a sadist.

I liked playing tech snipers and headshotting everything
I even made a mod to remove the annoying bolt charging sound

sunshine isn't special without rainy days. in my Syndrome voice: if everybody's super, then nobody is.

oh damn, i meant Cool, not Reflex.

I'm just glad you can take point in and out easily. The game is just limited enough that you can't make a jack of all trades anyway. I personally don't recommend uncapping the level for that reason either.

I think Netrunning is fun for stealth builds. Spy through cameras, hit the gas on an unmanned car, take over enemy turrets and hack your way through locked doorways, etc. But once you really level it up it's super broken to the point that you can just decimate entire rooms of enemies with a quickhack or two.

High athletics with swords and throwing knives is a lot of fun if you like moving fast, and double-jumping everywhere.

Mhm. To my ears it sounds like you're saying "bad stories must exist so that good stories can shine". Thanks to Cyberpunk for taking one for the team and making me appreciate happy stories much more.

nooo, I want muh dystopia story to have a happy happy ending!

i physically cringed reading this sorry-ass attempt at a get back.

Oh okay I thought you meant ignoring all the sword perks

uninstall wizard

Guess i'll finally install this game and try it. Is the melee combat actually good?

focus on 3 attributes and specialize
you can reset perks at anytime and try different builds but it will be expensive to buy the cyberware for everything so maybe do a 2nd playthrough where you try the opposite of what you did the first time
i hope you're playing on very hard btw it's way more fun

That's fine, because it wasn't one. I agree with what you wrote. Sunshine is not special without rainy days. That doesn't mean you need to appreciate rainy days, of which 2077 certainly is one. The existence of a rainy day (2077) makes me appreciate sunshine (happy stories) more. Why are you being so hostile? I fucking agree with you.

My V likes shotguns.

My_V.jpg - 1923x1008, 76.43K

V is minimalist, there is a chat V has with maelstrom member when they compare each others chrome and aesthetics.

I miss stealth hacking before the rework
after I go for Katana + Quickhacks

V going to duke it out with Angels at Crystal Palace isn't the happy happy ending

be me

hates Bethesda fallout games

decides to try cyberpunk

wtf this is literally fallout 3 but in the future

deletes and never plays again

Dystopian settings make achieving a happy ending in them that much sweeter. Shadowrun series had a much better balance of misery to optimism than 2077, and much more player agency too. There is no reason the writers could not have included a positive end if you 100% the game or achieve some hidden objectives. I would have been happy spending extra 200 hours to reach it, like I literally did in wrath of the righteous and rogue trader. I have never even experienced any other ending than the secret ones, and on my first playthrough of WotR I restarted twice because I messed something up. The only reason they didn't is they're incompetent or they think their "artistic integrity" is more valuable than player enjoyment, in which case fuck 'em.

Hacking + a good precision rifle will be able to handle any situation the game throws at you. You can use the rest of your equipment slots on stuff you want to try just for fun
Don't bother with smart guns they're shit even if you skill into INT for quickhacks

Will Sandevistan ever be good

and on my first playthrough of WotR I restarted twice because I messed something up.

That was me when trying to do Wendu's true romance, fucked up twice and had to use toybox to unfuck a flag that wasn't set properly (not my fault by the way).
Genuinely believe it's the most unlikely route to do properly without a guide in any game.

This. Only way to play is without cyberware or just cyberware in eye/hand.

Hackerman.
Dropping a dozen of guys with hacks before you even enter the building never gets old.

are there any mods that make the Reaper death charge ending more difficult? i feel like its not all that much harder than the other endings

Assault rifles outside the masamune and ajax are terrible imo.

I was immediately turned off by Wenduag after she gloats about fucking Lann of all people during your literal first encounter. But you do you.

Multiple pov books aren't the same as having multiple voices in your head.

From the standpoint of pov, V essentially just has 2 different internal voices which yes is something you see in literature even in mainstream books like Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings lmao.

because the avocado ending is pure fucking misery

No, it's not. Its hopeful, it's defiant, and it's cathartic. Not only does the game beat you over the head that "death isn't the end" and the way you live your life and die is more important than merely existing meaning you missed one of the central themes of the game but you're completely missing the spirit of rebellion that the aldecaldo ending offers. It's V choosing to to possibly die in the company of friends and with a lover to find himself a cure vs cowering in fear to work with Arisaka to work on his psyche again, yes that's a happy ending even if it has the potential of death. The entire game is you playing with death to begin with, and in fact you've already died. Youre missing the point

No those are pretty essential, even if you make Int and Body your main dump stats you need the other melee perks from reflexes for blades, likewise it's a smart idea to put points into body with Reflexes as one of your dump stats for the health. It just depends on what play style you want. I like just being a tankier melee build so I choose Body over Reflexes more

Kek, you are the definition of low eq miserable virgin.

play at 4k on ultra settings with a 3090

get 54 fps

turn down screen space reflections from ultra to high

85 fps

The mysteries of polish code.

I find the limitations of SSR to be ugly so I just turn it off in any game I can desu

Huh. I never really thought about it, but I guess that's a good reason why I never really liked Wheel of Time, Lews Therin was always annoying as fuck. But the primary reason is probably the women, manipulative fucking bitches all of them. I bought some of the books a long time ago, but I never bothered finishing the story.

You have a weird definition of hopeful and defiance. Losing almost everything you have and accomplishing nothing is not hopeful in my books, and defiance only matters if you effect a change. Failing miserably at reaching your goals is not cathartic, it's just depressing.

Death is the end. No matter what the writers try to sell you, death is absolutely the end of everything. Even if you think "spirit of rebellion" is relevant when you get half of your sworn family dead in a meaningless struggle and yourself following them within a year, you still lost, utterly and completely. Even if you chose to romance Panam and slam a couple or buns in her oven, you're never going to watch your kids take their first steps or grow old with her. You'll be dead, your sworn family will go "RIP V", move on and she'll be fucking some other dude within a couple of months. That isn't cathartic, that's infuriating.

I missed not a single point, the story is just garbage. If you force me in a miserywank roller coaster, I'm not going to enjoy the story, no matter how artistically or thematically consistent you think it is.

What are the best porn / very hot mods for this game? Brain dance mod thing and?
