Look at Yrliet, genuinely the worst written Eldar of all time, whoever wrote her had no clue how they work or what they are, and it shows, absolutely lazy and incompetent writing. Then you have stellar characters like Marazhai and Pasqal that knock it out of the park for what they are in 40K. This is a general problem with Owlcat, some of their writers are really solid, but others produce forgettable, bland characters or outright garbage.

Space Wolves are one of the most popular and well liked SM chapters, I do not see how anyone could say they are the "worst" when chapters like the Iron Hands and Imperial Fists exist, that no one likes or cares about at all.

The scene set up in the poster seems to indicate they're on a ship that's very obviously Imperium (see the windows that look like a church, and the map in the background) so what they're demonstrating is clearly an assault on your ship by deldar that you're defending against.

Actually this is a great concept and it would work well in a lot of RPGs. I had an idea a while after Cyberpunk 2077 came out for an RPG or immersive sim where you play as some low-level grunt who does work for a corporation. Specifically like a member of Trauma Team or something. The problem is that the modern games industry has to always make the biggest game ever and can't just make a cheaper game with a smaller scope.

Dark Heresy characters are already "above average" if not "outright special" from character creation. There exists an entire expansion book (Ascension) which adds "prestige" level of play, that is supposed to be the next tier (a.k.a. "notable lore character"-tier), that many players of the TTRPG asked for. And *those* characters still only reach *starter* level of TTRPG (Chaos) Space Marine, by the latter half of their Ascension power level. So yeah, expecting a Dark Heresy CRPG (from Owlcat, no less) to ignore "high level play" is being hopelessly naive or uninformed, if not outright clueless.

Better to wait until all the content is out and do one run. A typical problem with Owlcat games, you have to wait several years to get the finished product. Act 4 needed to be at least 50% longer if not outright double the length. It needed two proper, dedicated sections to handling both Chorda and Winterscale with a good build up of exactly how the deldar ended up involved in the expanse and Calcazar's role in it and finally culminating in the reveal at the end of the act, as well as a proper closing of the heretical Final Dawn stuff.
