This is the real unsaid truth. The game is tuned difficult without optimized map knowledge. I'm sure once a gay "meta" emerges it will be easy. Right now if a group I'm in sucks and struggles we usually get to the nightlord at level 10. If we do well level 12. That's 3 more levels to optimize along with better gear strats.

Fairly minor. I did find one that gave me a second charge of the character ability. I've also used the utility ones that give you a guaranteed status on starting weapon. But then you have to +2 the starting weapon for middling results.

I think what Nightreign proved is that if a game is cheap enough, people will literally just gobble it up. Oh, and the fact it was made by FromSoftware.
