I really hope so, Owlcat does 40K well (maybe a bit too much grimderp regarding civilian over-the-top opression, but it works) so would be nice to see this entry succeed and get good DLC support now that they are integrating DLC into base game.

That is never going to happen for Owlcat or any crpg. The variables of any CPRG that's above 5 in its gameplay are too many to properly playtest and account for everything.
If a crpg releases bug free it's shit on the gameplay and class selection/customization front because it has such abysmally few choices. Further it's likely also shit at the quest and class level because there's so little to actually do and explore.
I' haven't played a crpg without bugs of one kind or another since Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition, which I only played in 2018.

I think Owlcat is definitely making a mistake with full VA without also pairing it with high cinematic values and production, you need both at once if you want to appeal to the bigger market.

I like Kingmaker much more than WotR, I liked the companions far more, I did not mind kingdom management, timed quests are only an issue for the weak and unskilled, bugs are part and parcel of every Owlcat game, the constant changing threats as the fey assault on your kingdom intensifies was great, and the end game in Kingmaker is honestly better done than the end game in WotR, even if in all three of their games the end game is the worst part of Owlcats games. Alright, how about part of her first quest, which is a great example of the problem with her writing in general. You come upon Eldar from Crudarach in a fleeing ship, and you can either leave them to die, blast them, or take them aboard your ship (assuming you pass the skill checks necessary to do so). Let's say you take the latter option, what happens after this is that the Eldar are bumrushed by lower deckers and killed anyway, which highlights the entire problem with how this is written.

But let's say the RT is just THAT good at persuasion, or the Eldar are THAT desperate. Is the RT a fucking retard? Why does he not put security in place or simply make sure nobody knows they're on his ship to begin with? And third, how the FUCK are Craftworld Eldar getting bumrushed and killed by a bunch of lower decker scum when they would EASILY overpower thousands of them?

With each nothing, you should have her character and voice lines on the bridge get more and more desperate, the control on her emotions slipping more and more, getting more moments like the one during Janus where she starts yelling she's gonna DOTR Muaran for what he did before she cools off, showing that her training and meditation are fraying at the edges.
The slow descent into despair needed more scenes and moments than just the scene where she finds the Crudarach piece on your wall. That would help set up the betrayal and her late justification of it, as you saw it happen rather than it happening off screen.

If I were to review this game the lack of reactivity overall, not just here (but here definitely stings the worst so far) I would cut my overall score by 25% of the total, god damn it.

One line per character is all it would take, how was that too much to ask? Say what you will about BG3, but at least the NPCs actually reacted to your class and race choices, and it felt like what your character did was having an impact on your companions all the way up until the Epilogue Party, which completely changes based on what you did with them during the game.

Quetza is a crapshot. A bad puzzle, two encounters. Winterscale is pretty good and gave me a satisfying "I fucking knew it" when I correctly guessed what was up, but beyond that, everything else is bad to meh. Also the fact you don't do anything else with his domain is terrible.
Chorda stuff was dreadful. We don't go to any of her planets same as Winterscale, and unless you've got certain alignments or visit a few off the road planets you don't get the full story with her which SHOULD have been part of the main questline nod hidden away. Her conclusions are satisfying character wise but the way it gets there is totally underbaked.
And then the heretic stuff is a mix. If you play heretic you get enough context through heretic only stuff to understand what's going on and the whole deal with Kunrad, Theodora and the rest. But without that it's a single dungeon and almost no fucking context. It needed way more dedicated to it. In general, the overall narrative of Theodora, Calcazar, the Necrons was very badly delivered. It started very good, but then just slowly fell apart. due to not going into detail. I doubt the majority of people even know the entire story, in this very thread.

Act IV opens up with a proper debrief of Commorragh and hunting deldar stragglers, where you start picking up clues and get conclusive evidence that Calcazar was working with them. This ties into Heinrix's companion quest, and depending on everything else you can properly flip him to your side or not, but you can't go at Calcazar yet as your proof is xeno in origin. Also you take out Trevantias. This is a single planet (also put Idira's final quest here, overall it was good as is). Also first hints of chaos fuckery returning and hints about the weapon that Amaraut developed that took out Crudarach is that

3 planets dedicated to Winterscale, Quetza's the last one. The other two are you helping his domain as you try to track the dumbass down, maybe just one or two maps of encounters, can be used to get more chaos hints. On Quetza none of that dumb puzzle shit. Instead you've got either to hunt the eldar with Winterscale, hunt the eldar but sabotage Winterscale so the eldar can get away as much as possible, or outright reject going on the hunt. Doing the middle option is the best outcome but has the hardest encounters. Final bit works as was seen, with maybe a few things changed like the fact you mentioning Theodora nuked Crudarach

3 planets dedicated to Chorda. Get the proper backstory for her. Final "planet" is the encounter on Footfall except you've got to fight your way through the docks, into the Atrium and then into the manor. Along the way you can recruit the various pirates and scoulders, and kill the Drusian for what he did in creating Chorda (or not, whatever). Get more details on chaos

None of them are pillars except abelard because he's the one who runs that shitshow. Arguably jimmy too if you fuck him because he actually becomes your spy master. The rest are freeloaders and drifters that fuck off immediately

I don't get why people say RT combat is good. it consist of self buffing your character until he can shoot 2 more bullets than one to deal decent damage to a deldar or have to apply a buff/debuff on the enemy to make his armor weaker. atleast in wrath you had to do it once. in rt you need to do it every single turn

Finally confront Calcazar, but Chaos appears at the same time so you focus on them, Another 3 planets. Actually tell the damn story of the Valancious blood being cursed. Boss in one planet is Kunrad. Another planet you finally get the revelation of Theodora going into the Necron portal, what she found, what she made. And then the last planet is Euphrates IV as is with the only change being Calcazar is there and it's a race between you and him to get at the weapon. He wins, and flies off to the gate.

Act V can happen as it did, nothing wrong with act V beyond its set up I think.

I seriously doubt there is going to be any sort of choice for joining an Ordo. Either you automatically join a pre-determined one, or you don't join any, and are a sort of free agent for the whole game - investigating all sorts of activities regardless if they would involve a specific Ordo.

No see, the genius of this is you could do something most crpg's don't tend to do. You get a look into a character's inner thoughts and motivations. You could totally just have Jimmy (if being romanced) be nothing but "must rescue RT must rescue RT must rescue RT" like the madly in love but can't admit it fool that he is.
