The thing about Bioshock is that it is a game with a bunch of loxist messaging. A cryptojew gets other crypto and regular jews to found a city and brings a bunch of gentiles (parasites) along since they can’t build a city on their own. But then the gentiles are stuck there. There is also the matter of turning some of them into literal golems (big daddies) to build and maintain parts of the city. Then a gentile comes in (fountaine) and starts using the tactics of the cryptojew which angers him since only he can do that. So he has him killed. However the gentile doesn’t die and instead hatches a plan where he takes to bastard son of the crytojew who is not of the tribe himself due to his mother being a gentile and conditioning him to kill the crypto jew. Which he does but only after being ordered by the cryptojew since he is in the end just a slave to his means which in of itself is highlighted further when you become one of the golems.

Bonus Round: Bioshock 2

I love this game for the ideas it introduced and making it common to engage in more complex ideas in popular media, but there are some BIG writing issues:

* The game had to cheat by not showing us the airplane hijack because Jack would have remembered that....but doesn't, because reasons.
* What a coincidence that Ryan's splicers attacked Atlas' bathosphere with his "family" at the time it would be perfect to blow it up

And there is a subplot that follows bioshock ARG about a guy who goes to rapture to find his daughter in 2 as well. I haven't played Infinite, so I can't comment on it, but I've seen others say that the big twist is that the second half of the game, you overthrow the white overseers and the racially diverse minority rebels turn out to be even crueler rulers and you have to fight them for the rest of the game.
