Are you still mad about bombergirl?

Are you still mad about bombergirl?

I was never mad. I barely even knew about it before 2022. It became one of my favorite games.

I'm super mad that I can't play it in arcades.

How better is on arcades?

It was hard to find a Bombergirl cab at any arcade for years. I haven’t seen one in months, even at the places that still had them. It’s all crane games, gachaslop, and photo booths now.

I'm still crying, malding and shitting myself. How could Hudson do this to us? It's so disrespectful of the classic franchise. Remember Bomberman Heroes? Now that was a good game.

Hudson

I've played almost every game in this franchise. Ask me anything.

favorite bombergirl?

Yes. So many games in this series are so damn samey. Don't do unless you're insane.
Pine

Which game had the best battle mode?

Bomberman 64.
You should play it.
With me.

Hard to say. 64's feels one of a kind, no other game's battle mode has its style. Saturn has the wide 10 player mode but is lacking in other modes. Games past Generation usually have a lot different modes to choose from, though that's when the battle mode between games start to just blur together. Bomberman 2 DS has a mode where you can use custom parts from the game if I remember correctly but I never tried it myself. If you really like Louies, Super 5 is the best for that.

Why did Super Bomberman R 2 suck so hard?

I love the baka

i didn't see this thread otherwise i would have just asked here
i have a bomberman 64 thread up if anyone wants to play

I skipped it
looked like moba slop
I watched a video and it's moba slop with gacha

yes because it isnt on steam

They try doing something different and they failed horribly. Might have one of the worst single player campaigns in the series.

What do you find most interesting about Bomberman's gameplay or is it all just a gimmick?

Best version of the main Bomberman theme?

Because they shut down the 64 battle royale game after charging people money to host lobbies and then put that mode in r2 exactly and thought it would go well with the exact same shit people paid for. It was a huge fucking smack in the face and people didn't like it.

charging people money to host lobbies

what the fuck

Yeah there is a lot of shit people aren't mentioning but konami intentionally sabatoged the launch of r2 as MUCH as they could prior to the release.
There is a very untold story you can find just looking at 64's page on steam and on almost any forum.

Don't believe the lies of the toxic positivity spammers

Castle mode feels like a worse version of bomb battle
I have no idea what were they thinking

I dunno, it's just simple, feels unique, easy to understand but there's some level of planning to use bombs well. It really does shines when you're fighting with other players trying to outmaneuver each other while also setting bombs strategically. Fighting AI enemies doesn't have the same kick as that, so it's obvious why the single player side of Bomberman doesn't really get talked about a lot. Can be boring.

I've never had an opinion on bombergirl

need 1 more player

Still mad there's no NA servers

these three are my favorites

I was never mad. It’s clearly a spinoff doing its own thing.
I just wish Konami put as much effort in the actual mainline games. As I definitely see effort in Bombergirl with its various references and nods to the whole franchise (minus B-Daman). R2 was such a disappointment. But I did like the first R.
What was the worst game for you, not counting Act Zero because that would be too easy. I’ve played around 30-40 of the games. The most mediocre ones I played were Land PSP, Land Wii, Story DS, and R2. Story DS was the least worst of those 4, as it is still somewhat decent, but a far cry from Quest, Tournament, and Jetters: Densetsu no Bomberman.

I'm stuck in the middle bracket. How can I save myself from this hell?

What was the worst game for you

I actually made a tier list. I may be too harsh on the NES Bomberman but whatever.

bomberman 64 and bomberman 64 are two different games?

Yes, there's Baku Bomberman released in 1996 and was localized as Bomberman 64. And there's Bomberman 64 released in 2001, which is just a Land game. Japan only.

Pretty good list. Mostly agree with the placements of the games I played. I would personally put Land Touch! a tier higher (one of my favorite Bomberman games actually), and I enjoyed Bomberman GB/Wario Blast quite a bit. Especially when you get the dash and moto and just shove the enemies around, great music too.
Got to actually beat 2 DS one day. I think it’s one of the more challenging games, especially when trying to get all the gear and best times. But it’s certainly one of the most unique games in the series.

No one cared about bombergirl until the gakis showed up

Why don't they make a mainline bomberman game with MOBA mode?

Bomberman has more fucked up international naming problems than Final Fantasy.
I think the only series that has it worse is Harvest Moon.

Where's bombergirl?

I forgot.
I did not understand the appeal of Wario Blast. I think have the same problem with it as with Bomberman NES, I just feel like it's really fucking boring. 2 DS is pretty great, probably the classic style gameplay at its best.

Nobody cared about bombergirl till it got spammed a lot

I can see where you’re coming from. I do think the game does start out slow, and I don’t care for the whole gimmick of just defeating the same enemies.
But like I mentioned earlier, it’s fun for me in the end game just rounding up the enemies in the corner and watching spin around. The sequels are definitely better though. As those felt closer to the console games.
I couldn’t get into Bomberboy/Atomic Punk though. That one is even slower than GB1/Wario Blast. I also get bored of the first NES game after like round 5. If I wanted to play a simple arcadey game, I’d rather play Dig Dug or something. II NES was pretty good though, though inferior to the 1990 PC Engine game.

The game was already popular before the pc port and people from the /bombergirl/ only create the thread on Anon Babble on fridays.

there are private servers

I'm mad it hasn't gotten released in any way here
Every contemporary Bomberman game is genuinely the same shit, at least this one looks different

proofs?

It's a discord trannies server, don't worry about it. They'll ask you to use HRT

What makes 5 your favorite out of the Super Bomberman series? I always had a preference for 4, and 2 got a lot of time in my SNES for how easy it was for us to pick up and play. 5 just never clicked for me, but it definitely takes the cake on presentation, I'll admit.
Based Pinechad. I also love the big bombers.
