I haven't bragged in awhile, got a paid for IQ test in high school (stanford binet) and my IQ was 156, unironically I play a bit of everything. Favorite games are Skyrim and Fallout 4 (both heavily modded though), however I literally play everything, got into XCOM Recently been playing that impossible ironman with the long war mod, put over 100 hours into it.

But I even played Call of Duty for a long while, made it into Top 250 in ranked in the world there, (actually top 30) unironically enjoy Fortnite, zero build only, do do ranked though, get Unreal at least once a season.

I even play and enjoy some rythmn games, I like Fortnite festival, it got me into clone hero.

I mostly plays games to escape, like with XCOM I'm laying my own reality onto it if that makes sense, I am the commander, and the people i'm commanding are real, anything that takes me out of this world, is fun.

I did play Stellaris for over 100 hours I do want to get into that and some other paradox games again aswell, but even after 100 hours in that game I felt like I did nothing, which is probably the point, but yeah.

The only games I don't really like are MOBA's, most gacha games, i'm mixed on RTS, my perfect game really would just a Skyrim or Fallout 4 with 100x the content and polish.

Pic related is my first MEC Soldier in Impossible Ironman XCOM Enemy Within Long War, I beat the original game on Impossible without mods, and this is a much harder and better experience desu.

Which XCOM games are worth playing?

Well I managed to snag up the complete edition of all the xcom games for less than 13 USD on a key reseller website, I had the GOG version for free and for some reason modding that version was hell so that's why I caved in, I have never played the original XCOM Games, however, I have watched full edited playthroughs of the first game on the hardest difficulty, and it's definitely not for me, if you're into turn based strategy, I would definitely reocmmend Enemy Unknown with The DLC, I haven't played XCOM 2 yet but I do own it and all DLC and I am looking forward to it and the mods heavily.

Even one of the lead developers of XCOM said that Enemy Within is just a 20 hour tutorial for the mod long war, and I was skeptical myself after beating the game and then installing a mod after, but wow it really does still feel completely fresh and great, and I have heard the same thing about XCOM 2, and some xcom clones which were made by some of the xcom developers,

Impossible Ironman is not for everyone though, but I can't imagine playing it any other way., it would just be too easy.

I play paradox games and I can confirm they are not high IQ unless you regularly play multiplayer. Once you "learn" the game there is no more challenge or mystery, You need to install a bunch of mods that hide information from the player to re-ad any semblance of challenge because the only challenge paradox games offer is having a high learning curve.
